Kaczyński:

We Finally Have an Active Economic Policy

Michał Olech

Recall the short government of Jan Olszewski. Even just the fact that at that time we were defended against very detrimental undertakings aimed at the permanent dependence of Poland on the then Soviet Union, that Poland began to develop then, after a period of decline, Polish GDP started to fall, and that the defense of common property was initiated. There were these undertakings and various kinds of plans. I repeat: a short time, but much was done. Then the second government. I don't know if Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz is from Wielkopolska, but he was prime minister and that must be acknowledged. And then I was prime minister, and truly in many areas of life, primarily in public finance, here we must recall Zyta Gilowska, who unfortunately has passed away. She was a candidate for parliament from here and became a member of parliament. She put public finances in order. Grażyna Gęsicka created the mechanism for receiving European aid – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention in Poznań. We created a new historical and educational policy. In fact, in almost every area, despite a very difficult coalition, there were changes. And finally, the current governments. Both Beata Szydło's and the Prime Minister's who is here now. There are positive changes, not only in the social sphere but also in the order of the state. While we were waiting for this meeting to begin, we talked about police stations, about how we are restoring the normal functioning of the police in Poland. This is necessary for the safety of citizens. In virtually all areas of life, changes are currently taking place, including economic ones. We finally have an active economic policy. This is something that is so strongly connected with this Wielkopolska tradition. And one could show very, very many such connections. I think I have the right to say that PiS is the formation that has drawn the most from this tradition and is implementing it – continued the PiS leader.
