Today, a panel discussion with the participation of Grzegorz Schetyna and Katarzyna Lubnauer will also take place.
Rafał Trzaskowski, the Civic Coalition candidate for Mayor of Warsaw, will begin his day with a press conference in front of St. Sophia Hospital. At 11:00 AM, a press conference will be held by Jan Śpiewak in front of the capital's City Hall, where the candidate for the Wygra Warszawa coalition will present "ideas for a mechanism that local government can use to lower residents' bills."

We Have Two Leaders. Both Will Be Very Prominently Present in This Campaign
- I think that these gentlemen [Jarosław Kaczyński and Mateusz Morawiecki] have been and will be present in this campaign. We are in such a good situation, very advantageous for us, that we have two leaders who can impose a good narrative, say in which direction Poland should go, and both will be very prominently present in this campaign - stated Tomasz Poręba in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

Jaki, Unlike HGW, Wants to Talk to the Government
- We are very hopeful that Patryk Jaki will win [in Warsaw], because he, unlike Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, wants to talk to the government – stated Tomasz Poręba in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".
- Our interpretation is that, unlike how Civic Platform governed from 2007-2015, when it was openly said: Eastern Poland, which does not support PiS, we're turning off the tap. Western Poland supports PO, all funds go there – said the head of the PiS campaign staff.
- Former Prime Minister Kopacz, in Radom, when she was still prime minister, said that if you vote for a Civic Platform candidate, then this and that will happen, and if you vote for a PiS candidate, then nothing will happen – he added.
08:05
- Unnecessary words [about a 'brat']. I spoke about it. I apologized for them in one of my interviews, in one of the weeklies. I don't believe you don't read the 'Sieci' weekly, where I gave an interview and said 'I'm sorry' – stated Tomasz Poręba in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego." – However, the behavior of the other side, meaning the very aggressive functioning of a journalist, your colleague, was also out of place – he added.

- If it were about a political conflict, you'd likely have been witnessing a soap opera for weeks - said Krzysztof Łapiński in a conversation with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Interview".
- Perhaps it was about a personal conflict. Perhaps you dislike someone so much that you can't stand to be in the same company? - Mazurek pressed.
- I deny that as well. Politics is not some game of liking or disliking someone. If we work in the Presidential Chancellery, we work for the President. Whether you like someone or not is irrelevant. You have to work for your boss - Łapiński added.

The Battle is for Something Absolutely Unique, So That the Capital Will Finally Be Fair on the Centenary of Independence
“I think it would be a very difficult [scenario, where Andrzej Rozenek is vice-president under Patryk Jaki]. Because the battle is for something absolutely unique, so that the capital will finally be fair on the centenary of independence. I am ready to discuss various options, although this one would be difficult” - said Deputy Minister Patryk Jaki on Radio Zet.
“I will be persuading in the second round, if it comes to that, with a program offer. Drivers are humiliated in Warsaw. Roads are regularly narrowed in Warsaw, bollards are placed everywhere, parking spaces are being eliminated, and yet my esteemed opponent talks about the possibility of halting the construction of new roads. There is no need to build new bridges, pedestrian- and cycling bridges are sufficient. I will put an end to this policy of fighting against drivers in Warsaw” - he added.

"I am supported by individuals like Saryusz-Wolski and Rokita. I will rely on their knowledge in the city hall in the future."
“Individuals like Jacek Saryusz-Wolski and Jan Rokita, whom you cannot accuse of lacking knowledge or experience, support me. I will rely on their knowledge in the city hall in the future,” Patryk Jaki said on Radio Zet.

My Declaration is Clear, the IVF Program Will Be Continued and Expanded
- We introduced the IVF program, unfortunately, this program was canceled by the PiS government and Patryk Jaki, which is why the city of Warsaw took on the responsibility of financing the IVF program. A thousand couples have already benefited from this program. There are over three hundred pregnancies, which is an incredibly important matter for us. My declaration is clear, if I become president, this program will not only be continued but will be expanded. Unfortunately, my opponent Patryk Jaki is constantly hedging on this issue. He voted to cancel this program. Previously, he did not support this program when it was introduced by the government of Civic Platform and the Polish People's Party. However, yesterday, he made a declaration stating that the episcopate's position would be binding for him. We all know the episcopate's position. Hence my question to Patryk Jaki. What will happen in reality? Will it be the case that the president, if unfortunately someone from PiS were to become president, will listen to the episcopate or Jarosław Kaczyński? Isn't it the case that by voting for Patryk Jaki, we are voting for the policy pursued by Jarosław Kaczyński - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

In-School Individual Education and 500+ for Children in Orphanages
- A scandalous regulation by Minister Zalewska, who is abandoning individual education for children in integrated classes that previously received it at school and is moving it to their homes. This is a scandalous decision. If I become president, I will do everything to resolve these types of ideas in Warsaw schools so that the situation returns to what it was, meaning individual education and integrated classes for all children will be conducted at school. The second thing. This is not a new idea, not from today or yesterday, but from two or three years ago. 500+ for children from orphanages. I don't understand how it's possible to give 500+, practically without any income criteria, even to wealthy children or wealthy parents, and to overlook children from orphanages in this group, children who are already so wronged by fate because they don't have parents or their parents simply don't want them, so that money for these children is not included in the government program. Especially since in Warsaw, this concerns about 700 children from orphanages. In terms of the budget and in terms of the declarations of PO and PiS candidates, reaching billions of zlotys, these 700 children, who could receive 500+, are truly a drop in the ocean of the unhealthy expenditures proposed by PiS and PO. I want to declare that I will do everything to compensate these wronged children for this situation, because from the perspective of Warsaw's budget, it is not a large expense, not a big deal – said Jacek Wojciechowicz at a press conference.

I've Never Called Biedroń in My Life
– I don't feel [Robert Biedroń's breath]. I'm not getting sentimental either. I don't know what else to say. I've never called Biedroń in my life. I was the head of his committee, the Foreign Affairs Committee, and I observed his activity in the committee. We were in Słupsk with Chairman Neumann and Chairwoman Lubnauer, we spoke with local government officials. That was last week. I said then that he is preparing, planning a political project. He has the right to do so, of course – stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a briefing in Krynica.

"This is a very good day not only for Poland but also for the capital city of Warsaw. Once this road is built and connected to the Southern Warsaw Ring Road currently under construction, a significant portion of transit traffic will be diverted from our city, particularly from heavily burdened arteries like Puławska Street, Dolina Służewiecka, and Trasa Siekierkowska. This is truly a special day for Warsaw. I want to congratulate the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) and the Ministry of Infrastructure that today we can commence the formal construction phase of this section of the ring road, which is an exceptionally vital artery from Warsaw's perspective. Warsaw is the only city, the only capital in Europe without even a single ring road. The PiS government is consistently changing this. Even Minsk has two ring roads, Warsaw has none, which is why trucks are congesting Warsaw every day" - stated Deputy Minister Patryk Jaki at the press conference inaugurating the construction of another section of the A2 motorway.

- As a councilor, Krystyna Prońko, for quite obvious reasons, devoted considerable attention to cultural matters. Much has been achieved, but much remains to be done. I would like to take this opportunity to say that it is extremely important to me for the city to continue developing at an even faster pace, because only through this can we have a larger budget. However, culture and education will be my priority, as without culture and education, we are unable to create a modern, open, and tolerant Warsaw - stated Jacek Wojciechowicz at the conference.

„Just a moment ago, the latest election preference poll results were announced. I am pleased to inform both our electorate, the SLD Lewica Razem coalition, and everyone else, that practically speaking, in 8 regional assemblies, according to these polls, it will be impossible to form a coalition without the SLD. Of course, we will be interested in such a coalition, if it succeeds and these results materialize. We will see if these results are truly accurate” - stated the head of the Democratic Left Alliance, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, at a press conference in Krynica.
„We have coalitions with many parties when it comes to large cities. Regarding our cooperation with Civic Coalition - where it's possible on equal footing, we cooperate, for example, with the civic committee of Ms. Hanna Zdanowska, and also with Mayor Żuk. In return, we invited the Civic Coalition to support our candidate and Mr. Rafał Dutkiewicz's candidate, Mr. Sutryk, in Wrocław, we invited them to support Tadeusz Ferenc in Rzeszów, and our long-standing candidate in Krakow, Mr. Jacek Majchrowski. We also managed to form a forward-looking coalition in Poznań” - he added.
„As the only party in Poland, we have prepared a program where we distributed surveys in every district, in every voivodeship, we talked to people, and in this program, we do not write about national politics, we avoid topics that are churned out daily in the Polish parliament, which are not well-known to anyone in local government. In our local government program, we focus on sidewalks, infrastructure, elements concerning the lives of seniors, we want to talk about sports and education, health, smog, and city purification. These are the pillars that should be most important from a left-wing, social democratic perspective” - explained Krzysztof Gawkowski.

Nielsen's Media Measurement Method – To the Dustbin, WP CEO Jacek Świderski: Well, That's Worthless Data
Details of the planned modernization of media reception monitoring by KRRiT, announced during the XXVIII Economic Forum in Krynica, were well-received by online publishers. As Jacek Świderski, CEO of WP Holding, pointed out in Krynica, the data obtained so far using the so-called Nielsen method is "completely worthless".
As Świderski argued, the so-called Nielsen method, used for many years to measure TV viewership, radio listening, and internet browsing, currently covers about 2,000 respondents, and its results – in his opinion – are nothing like "seismograph readings during an earthquake". He noted that in the case of WP, Nielsen's results are completely inadequate, if only because – as he explained – current research does not account for situations where someone uses the internet and watches television simultaneously.
Andrzej Olszewski, an expert from KRRiT participating in the discussion panel in Krynica, admitted, which may be shocking to many, that the still-used method of media reception research – "Nielsen" telemetry – is completely unsuited to the current shape of media. His statement also indicated that this research does not cover television or radio broadcasts from smartphones or tablets.
The new telemetry model, on which KRRiT is working, is intended to cover one million households and correspond to reality – meaning it will examine all forms of media reception, even simultaneous ones, across different platforms, even if one person uses several of these platforms at once: for example, watching muted television, browsing portals on a laptop, and occasionally playing online television or content from portal archives and networks.
Telemetria Polska will conduct the modernized media monitoring. In the future, the measurement is to be carried out by a special organization, which will include representatives of media outlets, research agencies, and media houses. KRRiT is already working on the details of these changes.
According to the announcements presented, the new measurements are expected to start – on a trial basis – soon, and the first results of the modernized research should be known by mid-next year.
The head of WP Holding emphasized the importance of introducing the intention of "cross-media measurement." In his opinion, research companies will be able to handle such a task, but a clear decision was needed to change the methodology from an outdated one to one that corresponds to contemporary needs. He assured that he supports the planned changes because WP, as a smaller television player and a large online one, supports all initiatives that can lead to the preparation of analyses of media consumer behavior that are as truthful as possible. Thanks to such analyses, advertisers will be directed to the most popular media, which will allow them to make their advertising expenditures more realistic.

Krupiński:
Poland Deserves to Be Treated as a Mature Market
For Poland's perception to improve – so that it is not lumped together with countries that have not managed their fiscal policies responsibly – significantly greater activity in promoting our country and individual companies is indicated. - I believe we all have an obligation to implement 'public diplomacy'. Currently, it's like this: in Davos, Malaysia has about 45 representatives, Turkey has about 35 business representatives and very high activity. And the question is whether we are mistaken that our activity is limited, or are they mistaken. I believe that from the perspective of the global village we live in, from the perspective of building the perception of our economy's strength, it is very important that we promote our economy at such forums – said Krupiński.„Polski rynek akcji dostaje rykoszetem przez problemy Turcji, bo jest zaliczany do rynków wschodzących.
Such an offensive in promoting the 'Polish brand' is particularly justified now, when the Polish economy is experiencing a significant revival, and GDP growth forecasts remain at a high level. - We should have more business representatives, not only state-owned but also private businesses, to have more discussions about business and Poland's economic success. Companies are now looking for acquisition targets. They have significant capital surpluses, cash surpluses. Everyone says, knock on wood, things are great – concluded the President of Pekao.„Na forum w Davos jest 45 przedstawicieli firm z Malezji, ponad 30 z Turcji i nieliczni z Polski. Pytanie, kto się myli? Powinniśmy być mocniej obecni, może już od 2019. Na forum w Krynicy też powinno być więcej firm, szczególnie prywatnych”-M. Krupiński na #ForumEkonomiczne2018

- Before the protest began, I met with Chairman Jankowski. Chairman Jankowski asked me if I was ready to sign an agreement. He heard that, of course, I was ready. I informed him which points proposed by the social side we were able to implement. Unfortunately, after two days, the Chairman announced a strike, but I hope we will return to the pre-strike discussions. To be clear, I am absolutely not offended by the representatives of the social side; moreover, I absolutely understand their demands - said Joachim Brudziński in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.
19:57
Brudziński:
We are certain that Jarosław Kaczyński will be our leader for many years, guiding us to further victories
- Law and Justice is already a kind of, well I don't want to say a steamroller or a machine, an efficient, extremely efficient machine in conducting elections, but we will be efficient, we will win elections under one condition. That humility will always accompany us, and secondly, the conviction that we have someone to lose to. If we fall into the same arrogance and hubris as our predecessors, who said through the mouth of their leader Donald Tusk that Civic Platform has no one to lose to, Poles quickly taught them humility. We are certain that Jarosław Kaczyński will be our leader for many years, guiding us to further victories, because no one teaches us politicians better than him, including those at the government level, here we have had various kinds of slip-ups, precisely concerning responsibility and humility - said Joachim Brudziński in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program “Events and Opinions” on Polsat News.
20:03
Łapiński:
I'm not leaving the President in the sense that I'm offended, not at all
- It was sixteen months, a period of, I think, strenuous work on my part. I gave everything I could, but I'm not leaving the President in the sense that I'm offended, not at all. I always say I am grateful to the President. I believe that President Andrzej Duda is performing his duties very well, and I hope that if the President decides to run for another term, he will win the election - said Krzysztof Łapiński in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program 'Wydarzenia i Opinie' on Polsat News.

Kuchciński:
I think we will manage to convince the younger generation of Poles to follow us
- [Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki] was able to weave various elements of economic tactics into our fundamental, symbolic, historical attitudes and our vision of Europe. Thus, drawing on the past, we are building the present and thinking about future generations, and this is being done in a very modern way. I believe we will largely succeed in convincing the younger generation of Poles to follow us - stated Marek Kuchciński in an interview with Danuta Holecka on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".
20:30
Kuchciński:
I encourage the opposition to debate and discuss, but based on concrete proposals
20:32
Kuchciński:
The Fight Against PiS is a Misunderstanding
- The fight against PiS is a misunderstanding. Anyone who views politics and our contemporary life in this way does not understand the situation, that essentially democratic foundations have been introduced into the system and our public life over the last 3 years to such an extent that anyone who wants to protest, protests. Even excessively, but we humbly accept these remarks - stated Marek Kuchciński in an interview with Danuta Holecka on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".
20:35
Gersdorf:
I am the First President of the Supreme Court. But Whether I Will Be Able to Hold This Office Depends on How the Situation Develops
„I am the First President of the Supreme Court. Judge Iwulski also makes many decisions, as I am often absent. As the constitution states, [I will be president] until April 30, 2020. That is formal, but whether I will be able to hold this office, whether I will be granted the opportunity to hold this office, depends on how the situation develops” – said the First President Małgorzata Gersdorf on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.
20:36
Gersdorf:
Amending Laws Doesn't Concern Me, as Legislation Cannot Alter the Constitution in Any Way
„Everything that is happening is burdened by the original sin of unconstitutionality. This must be remembered, because a law cannot change the constitution regarding the term of the First President of the Supreme Court during that term. It is unacceptable to remove individuals who are already working and assumed they would work until the age of 70, as these were the regulations when they took office, simply because the authorities suddenly decided to introduce a retirement age of 65. Of course, this age could have been introduced, but for individuals who are just entering the profession” - stated President Małgorzata Gersdorf on TVN24.
„I believe that these laws [on the Supreme Court, amended by the current Sejm] do not concern me at all, because they cannot change the constitution in any way. The constitution is the supreme law, a social contract that neither the parliament in ordinary procedure nor the President can change. The constitution can only be amended through the procedure defined within the constitution itself” - she added.
20:36
„I'm certainly not going to chain myself to a radiator” - said President Małgorzata Gersdorf in "Kropka nad i" on TVN24, when asked what she would do when her successor is appointed. „That wouldn't be proper. I can continue to observe and see what the person who comes in does. I can do various things. We'll see, I'll leave a little uncertainty”.
20:43
Gersdorf:
The National Council of the Judiciary is Improperly Elected. I Would Like to Finally Know Who Signed Off on the KRS Candidates. This Will Probably Be Interesting
„In a civilized world, it is unacceptable to put judges before disciplinary bodies for rulings, for the assessment expressed in rulings. I believe that this so-called National Council of the Judiciary also has original sin, because it is improperly elected, and I would like to finally know who nominated, who signed off on these candidacies that were presented to the National Council of the Judiciary, because we don't know who put them forward. This will probably be very interesting” - stated President Małgorzata Gersdorf on TVN24.
20:48
Gersdorf:
As Lawyers and Judges, We've Been Pushed Against a Wall. We No Longer Have Instruments to Show People That Something is Wrong, That Things are Very Bad
“As lawyers, as judges, we have been pushed against a wall concerning our means. We no longer have instruments to show people that something is wrong, that things are very bad. The slogans raised during the elections concerned the acceleration of proceedings. We believe that is okay, that perhaps these proceedings should be streamlined, the procedure changed. There was no mention of such a destruction of the justice system” – said Małgorzata Gersdorf, the First President of the Supreme Court, on TVN24.
20:51
- I think that it is clear - nothing has changed. We agreed with the German Minister of Foreign Affairs in January that experts would discuss this issue. We believe that Poles were treated unfairly after World War II. The discussion is ongoing, and historical memory of those times is being revived here. So I think it remains an open issue. But we do not differ on this with Germany, because as I said, there is also an understanding there that these matters should be discussed - through experts, to learn the truth. To compare how much Poland has recovered compared to other countries and in relation to the losses Poland incurred. So I see no change in our stance here - stated Jacek Czaputowicz, when asked by Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz whether Poland would seek reparations, or if this was a closed or open topic. He added:
"It is too early to say [whether MP Mularczyk's report will be accepted by the government as an official government document]. I think it is a very good initiative within parliament. Certain work has been done, calculations made, and certain arguments presented. But this is one voice - tomorrow there will be a conference in Warsaw organized by the Western Institute together with researchers and experts from Germany. For now, I believe we need to present arguments, discussion is needed, and we need to seek some understanding. But we are still in the stage of examining and presenting arguments from both sides."

During his visit to the 28th Economic Forum, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki participated in a discussion about the challenges in creating new branches of the economy. The necessary conditions to support Polish companies in achieving global success were also discussed.
- The computer games industry is our export pearl – said the head of government. He pointed out that it is important for us to have as many industries as possible where our skills and creativity are linked to economic development, because games may be virtual, but profits and jobs are real.
– In gaming, we have estimates several times higher, from three to five percent market share, through our exports, through our products. Of course, Geralt can be from Rivia, but above all, he is from Poland. He is a Polish product, he made Poland famous. Firstly, it is an extremely important industry. Secondly, we have no capital. Poland was plundered by the partitioning powers, World War II – said Mateusz Morawiecki.
- Meanwhile, here capital is born in our minds, it is born in our imagination. In the graphics, in the plot, in these new ideas for new games. This is for me not only extremely interesting, but fundamentally important for economic development. Your games may be virtual, but the profits are very real. You are creating a very real economy. This also attracts me to this industry. Generally, the job of a prime minister is also a game, only you have only one life and the difficulty levels arrange themselves. There are many challenges, of course – Morawiecki said.
The head of government announced solutions beneficial for game producers, including tax relief if a game contains elements that foster culture, as well as promotion of games by PAIH.
- I invited all major representatives of this industry to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister to check what their needs are. We developed several main postulates and some additional ones there. The main one, which was repeated most often, is the education of programmers, IT specialists, scriptwriters, those who shape the graphics and plot. We have developed several solutions, from the tough ones, like tax relief in creating subsequent solutions, subsequent games, on the condition that the game contains various cultural threads, to promotion abroad by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. I also promised that we will take delegations from the gaming sector on our foreign trips and meetings, in order to promote ourselves abroad – added the Prime Minister.
In conclusion, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated that he would like the next Witcher to be "created based on, for example, Wańkowicz's Monte Cassino or Fiedler, or even Sienkiewicz, because it is hard to imagine better promotion for Poland than what the gaming industry does."
