-- SZYDŁO: I DON'T SEE A REASON FOR MORAWIECKI TO BE THROWN OUT OF PIS AT THIS MOMENT, PRESIDENT SIGNED OFFICER NOMINATIONS AT ABW. LEŚKIEWICZ ANNOUNCES BREAKTHROUGH - 300LIVE: https://300polityka.pl/pl/live

-- POLAND, HOWEVER, OUTSIDE THE GROUP OF THE 20 LARGEST ECONOMIES IN THE WORLD - JACEK FRĄCZYK IN BUSINESS INSIDER: “According to the latest IMF forecast, Poland will be ranked behind Switzerland at the end of the year, not ahead of it. The difference between our countries' GDP this year, instead of shrinking, will grow from 8 to 13 billion dollars – according to the fund's forecasts. This way, we will be in 21st place, not 20th, in the world. Switzerland was not invited to the G20 deliberations in Miami in December, so we are somewhat prematurely replacing it. The deliberations will be chaired by the United States, so the decision belonged to Donald Trump. We might not be there at the next summit.”

-- FEW IN PIS WANT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH ZIOBRO - DOMINIKA WIELOWIEYSKA IN GW: “Few in PiS want to be associated with Ziobro. Further opinion polls indicate that a vast majority of Poles, regardless of their worldview and political sympathies, believe that Ziobro and Romanowski should face the Polish justice system.”

-- IT IS SYMPTOMATIC THAT PRESIDENT KAROL NAWROCKI, RECENTLY IN BUDAPEST, ALSO DID NOT MEET WITH ZIOBRO AND ROMANOWSKI - WIELOWIEYSKA CONTINUES: “It is symptomatic that President Karol Nawrocki, recently in Budapest, also did not meet with the heroes of the Justice Fund affair. And yet they are 'martyrs' and 'refugees'. But although the official PiS propaganda continues to uphold this narrative, people in Nowogrodzka quietly admit that few are pushing to take selfies with Ziobro and Romanowski.”

-- EFFORTS TO TRAVEL TO THE UNITED STATES ARE NOT BRINGING ANY RESULTS - WIELOWIEYSKA STILL: “From our information within PiS, confirmed by government circles, efforts to travel to the United States are not yielding any results. American permission to travel is essential; the asylum seekers cannot simply book tickets. They have temporary travel documents as refugees because their Polish passports have been invalidated, but they still need a visa to the USA.”

-- BOTH COUNTRIES HAVE TOO MANY INTERESTS WITH EACH OTHER TO STRAIN THEM FOR TWO FADED AND COMPROMISED STARS OF AN OPPOSITION PARTY - CLAIMS WIELOWIEYSKA: “But these are symbolic skirmishes without major consequences. And the ambassador does not want to enter into conflict with Donald Tusk's government, meaning the central administration and the truly decision-making people. Both countries have too many interests with each other to strain them for two faded and compromised stars of an opposition party, which is also no longer the only significant force on the Polish right.”

-- IN SUCH A SITUATION, ZIOBRO AND ROMANOWSKI ARE LEFT WITH ESCAPE TO SERBIA - WIELOWIEYSKA CONTINUES IN GW: “There are still a few weeks left, so perhaps intensive lobbying will bring some good changes for Ziobro and Romanowski, but for now, the lack of enthusiasm on the American side seems permanent. My interlocutors believe that in such a situation, Ziobro and Romanowski are left with escape to Serbia. They can easily get there from Hungary, as both countries border each other. And pro-Russian Serbia is not a member of the European Union, and the ENA does not operate there as straightforwardly as within the EU.”

-- 52.6 PERCENT OF RESPONDENTS NEGATIVELY ASSESS THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT. INCLUDING 37 PERCENT "DEFINITELY BAD," AND 15.6 PERCENT "RATHER BAD" - IBRIS FOR POLSAT NEWS: “On the other side of the barricade are 41.1 percent of respondents. "Definitely good" was the assessment of the government by 10.4 percent of those surveyed, and another 30.7 percent – "rather good." 6.4 percent of respondents chose the answer "I don't know/hard to say.”

-- HENNIG-KLOSKA AND WHAT HER MINISTRY IS DOING IS A REAL DISASTER, BUT IF WE ALLOW HER TO BE REMOVED NOW, IT WILL BE DEVASTATING FOR THE COALITION - A COALITION DEPUTY QUOTED BY TOMASZ ŻÓŁCIAK AND GRZEGORZ OSIECKI IN WP ON OFF: “- Hennig-Kloska and what her ministry is doing is a real disaster, but if we allow her to be removed now, it will be devastating for the coalition. The opposition will smell blood, start submitting further no-confidence motions, first against the Minister of Health, and it will become unstable within the coalition – admits the interlocutor. Similar voices are heard from Civic Platform deputies.”

-- TOWARDS THE END OF THE WEEK - ON THURSDAY OR FRIDAY - A MEETING IS TO TAKE PLACE BETWEEN PEŁCZYŃSKA-NAŁĘCZ AND THE PRIME MINISTER - OSIECKI AND ŻÓŁCIAK CONTINUE IN WP: “According to our information, towards the end of the week – on Thursday or Friday – a meeting is to take place between Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz from Polski 2050 and Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The topic of the meeting is to be the vote on the no-confidence motion against the Minister of Climate, though not only.”

-- THE RIGHT IS STARTING TO LOSE - PIOTR WÓJCIK IN KRYTYKA: “The painful defeat of Giorgia Meloni in the referendum on judicial reform, the electoral defeat of the right in Slovenia and Orbán in Hungary – there are plenty of proofs of the gradual loss of momentum by the right. We must keep our fingers crossed that the right continues on its chosen path. May it lead to its downfall sooner than the world we know.”
