- In light of President Volodymyr Zelensky's agreement to name one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the UPA heroes, after consultation with the Chapter, I have decided to revoke the Order of the White Eagle from the President of Ukraine. I want to emphasize here that this decision is not against the Ukrainian nation. It does not signify a change in the strategic direction of Polish security policy - stated President Karol Nawrocki in a recording published on social media.

- We have supported and continue to support Ukraine because we know that Russian aggression poses a threat to the security of Poland and all of Europe. This assessment has not changed. Russia is the aggressor, and Putin is a criminal responsible for unleashing a war that has brought the greatest armed conflict to Europe since the end of World War II. For every bombed residential district, for every child forced to flee the war - he continued.

- Behind every family separated by violence is a decision made in the Kremlin. This is not just a twist of history. Poland knows the price of Russian imperialism better than most European nations. We know it not from textbooks, but from history written in the blood of our ancestors. We know it from the partitions, from Siberia, from deportations, from Katyn, from decades of life behind the Iron Curtain - he emphasized.
