- For many years, we have heard that Polish children are treated instrumentally in disputes between parents and partners. This family package, as we call it, aims to change this approach and practice. But of course, we must start by changing the regulations - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference.

The package presented by the Minister of Justice includes 5 pillars:

1. Shared custody (a child's right to the presence of both parents).

2. Maintenance orders (a child's right to prompt securing of their needs).

3. Effective enforcement of judgments (a child's right to real protection of their rights).

4. No-fault divorce (a child's right to faster stabilization of the family situation).

5. Accountability for non-compliance with judgments (a child's right to respect for court decisions).

- This is, of course, a project. We must be aware that these projects are included in the government's work and will go through the entire legislative process, including social consultations and parliamentary work, because we want to develop legislation that will be implemented in the future but will also not be a subject of social conflict - emphasized Waldemar Żurek.
