Did Trzaskowski Make a Mistake? Żurek: I Would Definitely Order an Inspection or Demand Precise Clarifications from the Whistleblower

- If I had received such a message and knew there was a risk to the life or health of others, I would have to react, but we need to see what the follow-up was - Waldemar Żurek said on PR24, when asked by Kamil Szewczyk about Rafał Trzaskowski's statement that a private message is not a channel for reporting irregularities in a municipal institution.

- If in further messages, because Rafał Trzaskowski also says "write it down for me in detail", because someone sends an SMS "listen, things are happening here that shouldn't be happening", if I had received such preliminary information without details, I would also have asked "please, submit it formally" - he continued.

- I would definitely then either recommend such an inspection, or I would demand precise clarifications from the person who is such a whistleblower - he continued, when asked if Rafał Trzaskowski made a mistake in this matter.

- I also heard the message from the other side, i.e. from the city's side, that there is a dispute over money [...] for me today, it's a bit of an unknown whether it's an evasion of responsibility by people in dispute, or whether it was the reason for the doctor's dismissal - he added, when pressed about the fact that after two months the doctor reporting the issue to the Mayor of Warsaw is being dismissed.

- We are at an initial stage, but we must already consider how we will investigate this matter. It must be explained very thoroughly, and here it will truly not matter whether someone is the Mayor of Warsaw or someone is a whistleblower - he emphasized.
