- These solutions, of course, come with costs. In the case of VAT reduction, we are talking about a cost of around 900 million zlotys per month. For excise duty, this cost reaches about 700 million zlotys per month - said Andrzej Domański during an extraordinary government session.

- From the budget's perspective, these are significant expenses. Therefore, we are undertaking work to introduce a special tax, a tax on such excess profits [...] so that these concerns, these entities that, due to the market situation, high oil prices, high margins, have these above-average profits, pay a higher tax - he continued.
