Did the Sejm Improperly Proceed with the Election of Constitutional Tribunal Judges? Żurek: Bogucki Misleads Public Opinion
- The President and his official are aiming to block everything they possibly can, both the parliament now, the parliamentary majority, and also the government - said Waldemar Żurek on TVN24, when asked about Zbigniew Bogucki's words regarding doubts about the Sejm's procedure for electing new Constitutional Tribunal judges (including the failure to observe deadlines).
- Mr. Bogucki is completely misleading public opinion because he does not read the provision in its entirety and completely. The Sejm's Rules of Procedure, in two points of the article cited by Mr. Bogucki, clearly state that both of these deadlines can be shortened and that the Marshal of the Sejm decides on this in the appropriate procedure - he continued.
