Czarnek announces draft resolution on leaving the ETS:
Down with this Brussels scam.
- To return to significantly lower energy bills, including for heating and electricity, we must say once again: down with the ETS, down with this Brussels scam. Poland cannot continue to be an ATM for EU climate policy. And Poland is such an ATM for EU climate policy. That is why we must leave this ETS, because the ETS is illegal in Poland - said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference at the Żerań Power Plant.
- I am submitting a draft resolution to the Sejm today. […] This resolution is the stance of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, to which the government is politically subordinate in accordance with the constitution. And in this resolution, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland calls on Prime Minister Tusk to present a plan for leaving the ETS within 14 days - he stated.
- First and foremost, we call for all actions aimed at leaving the ETS to be taken, which means, in the first instance, publishing the [Constitutional Tribunal's] judgment of June 10, 2025 - he added.
