At 12:00 PM, the first government session of 2026 will commence. Ministers will address, among other items, a draft act concerning amendments to certain laws related to the transmission of information to the European single access point, and a revision of the Energy Law.

At 6:00 PM in the Sejm, a session of the Committee on Economy and Development is scheduled, during which the Minister of Finance and Economy is expected to present information on the state of the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) implementation.

On Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski will participate in a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Weimar Triangle countries. The Minister of External Affairs of India will also be present.

Ministers will discuss, among other topics, the possibility of ending Russia's aggression against Ukraine and India's relations with Russia. The head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also meet with the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, for bilateral discussions. The implementation of the Treaty of Nancy, ratified by Poland and France in December, is expected to be a topic of conversation.

These relations must be as good as possible for Poland in the most important matters, and in ideological matters, the gentlemen will never agree on everything, they will not agree on many things, but I think it's a good omen - stated Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

- The president to date, in matters important to Poland, when there was, for example, the situation on September 10th, related to the drone attack, this cooperation existed, it is there, in the most important matters. That the president believes this is the worst government in history and that in matters the president spoke about during the campaign, he will firmly advocate for Polish affairs according to the key he spoke about during the campaign, promised Poles, that he will push for many matters that are not important for the government, but are the most important for the president, that is clear, this is what the president spoke about, responsibility for one's word in the campaign - continued the head of the president's chancellery.

- I am also convinced that in the most important matters, like on September 10th, these matters are not subject to some kind of current political criticism. Therefore, we are capable of discussing matters most important to Poland - he said.

- There will be a [president-prime minister] meeting this week. Most likely, the meeting between the President and the Prime Minister will take place on Friday - stated Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

- Today they are seeking this conflict with the president, why? Because they are failing in many areas, the government is simply failing in many areas, it is not addressing the problems of ordinary Poles. Therefore, it is looking for substitute topics, and each time it is the president from a different political camp – stated Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

- Therefore, if the government criticizes or attacks the president in some way, this topic suddenly becomes topic number one. As a result, other topics, the real problems of Poles, fall to subsequent places, and this is beneficial for the government, for Prime Minister Tusk. That is why there will be an attempt each time to provoke conflict with the president to distract from the problems of ordinary Poles – he continued.

- We will not be drawn into these substitute topics, because these substitute topics serve only the government, and the President would like to implement a program that serves Poles, not one that serves the government in the current political dispute - stated Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

- If this law remains in its current form, it will not be accepted by the President. The President also spoke about this during the campaign. The President's office is open to discussing any bill that the government considers important - stated Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

- It's probably not excluded [a presidential bill on the status of closest persons]; it all depends on whether the government changes the provisions of the bill it has prepared. If it is a bill that will help people, meaning one that will help in various life situations, in offices, in hospitals, to be able to establish a closest person who will be able to assist, if it can simplify someone's life, then such a bill will be introduced - stated Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

- But if these are pseudo-marriages, pseudo-partnerships, which would ultimately lead to the adoption of children by homosexual individuals, then there will be no consent from the President - he continued.

- The Prime Minister has unilaterally envied the president's veto and is vetoing this act [concerning the National Labour Inspectorate] within the government. This is a strange solution. The Marshal vetoes presidential acts at the Sejm level, the Prime Minister vetoes at the government level acts that other ministers push through, and yet the only real veto written into the Constitution is the president's veto - stated Paweł Szefernaker on TV Republika.

- If we don't implement this, we won't get 11 billion zlotys, which Poland cannot afford. I am not here to criticize the government or the prime minister. The prime minister said that he is not satisfied with this reform in its current form, therefore Lewica will propose a different solution. - He drained his allies to the very end, and that's what this situation is about; the appetizers, which were doomed from the very beginning to be devoured, have become part of today's Civic Coalition, meaning the camp of the current Prime Minister - Mateusz Morawiecki said on wPolsce24 television.

- This is the secret behind why today the Platforma [Civic Platform] consistently maintains a level of 33, 34, 35 percent, but it is precisely those few percent, those few percentage points that separate us from our main political competitor, that we will focus on today at our away-from-home Law and Justice club meeting - he continued.

"It's probably rare for one meeting to fundamentally change relations. If the government's stance changes, if it wants to cooperate with the president, then these relations will definitely improve," said Zbigniew Bogucki in the "Afternoon Conversation" on RMF FM, when asked if the Nawrocki-Tusk meeting would fundamentally change relations between the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland (KPRP) and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

- Meetings are also planned, which unfortunately did not happen when I, on behalf of the President, invited representatives or heads of services to these meetings, both of these two, let's call them, civilian services, and these two special or secret military services. It's good that there is this reflection, it's good that there is some contact here and that this meeting will take place - said Zbigniew Bogucki in RMF FM.

- This is again a matter of Polish security, it is also related to nominations, it could have been handled much faster, it's good that it's happening after some time, but there is a certain reflection that the heads of services and, for example, the relevant ministers should meet. Everything is moving in the right direction - he continued.

- I do not want to confirm or deny this today - he said further, when asked if Tomasz Siemoniak would also be present at this meeting.

- If there was information that anyone, whether it's the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, or the relevant minister [...] wants to participate in this, I do not believe there would be any obstacle on the President's side. So this is not a point of contention. The point of contention is that these people simply did not come, but today everything is moving in such a direction that the meeting will take place - he added.

- For now, this act is pending a decision because it is a difficult act, it contains various provisions that can be described as questionable - said Zbigniew Bogucki on RMF FM, when asked when he would sign the act implementing the Digital Services Act (DSA).

- This, for instance, concerns the issue of freedom of speech - he continued.

- But we are also dealing with a situation where many mechanisms within this act are not carried out through judicial review, but through administrative decisions - he elaborated, when asked if he had read the Senate's amendments.

- There is no decision today, to be clear, because there is no decision from the President of the Republic. President Nawrocki will probably make it on Friday, that is the deadline - he added.

- In my opinion, there is a significant problem with this law. Of course, this is again President Nawrocki's decision, but I would like to point out that even the title of this law uses the term "union" - said Zbigniew Bogucki on RMF FM, when asked about the law on the status of a close person and whether he saw any room for compromise.

- The Polish Constitution clearly states: the union of a woman and a man is under the protection of the Republic of Poland - he continued.

- Suddenly, in a year or a year and a half, there might be some ruling from a foreign court or tribunal stating that there are no reasons why, for example, such unions [should not] adopt children, for instance, homosexual unions - he went on to say.

- It makes no difference what is written in this law [...] we have repeatedly dealt with laws that were very clearly and unambiguously written, and then we had to deal with judicial interpretation, especially from foreign tribunals, which resulted in something that contradicted the provisions of that law, and that is the case, or could be the case, here - he added.

- We cannot use the term "union" here [...] if marriage is to remain a privileged form, and it is so based on the Polish Constitution, then we cannot create something that we call differently but which would essentially be treated the same - he emphasized, when asked what would need to be in this law for Karol Nawrocki to sign it.

- These meetings, as far as the President is concerned with the Chairman, they happen quite regularly and that's very good, because the leader of the largest opposition party meets with the President of the Republic - said Zbigniew Bogucki in RMF FM, when asked if President Karol Nawrocki often meets with Jarosław Kaczyński in the Presidential Palace.

- This contact exists, the relations are very good - he continued.

- Jarosław Kaczyński is a hostage to his own idea, his political success, because it was he who came up with the candidacy of Karol Nawrocki as the candidate who, in the second round, was to be not just the candidate of Law and Justice, because he would have been that anyway, but a candidate supported by the Confederation's electorate. Kaczyński succeeded in this. One could say that Wałęsa, Lech Kaczyński, Andrzej Duda, and Karol Nawrocki, meaning 4 presidents, were actually created by Jarosław Kaczyński - said Piotr Zgorzelski on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach".

- In my opinion, Grzegorz Braun is neither an exponent of antisemitism nor anti-Polonism, because he even went too far here by saying that he questions the existence of gas chambers and furnaces in which people were burned in concentration camps. He is truly not connected to these ideas, it is a cynical game, a cold calculation wrapped only in phantasmagoria - said Piotr Zgorzelski in "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24.

- His anti-Ukrainian sentiment helped him lean towards pro-Russian positions. This subservient letter to Lavrov is something so unacceptable within the culture of the Polish nation that there's no other word than neo-Targowica to describe it - said Piotr Zgorzelski on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach."

- Immediately after this terrible event, after this rape, all internal police procedures were initiated. It is worth mentioning that this officer was arrested in less than 12 hours. He is currently in custody, a court decision has already been made in this regard, so all procedures worked very, very quickly. There will be no tolerance for this type of crime within the police - said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24’s “Kropka nad i” program.

- A disciplinary proceeding has, of course, been initiated, which will end with the removal of this gentleman from the ranks of the Polish police. He is already suspended. - In cases of this type of crime, there will always be a very, very strong reaction. I can say now, because a verification procedure is underway regarding this matter, as well as all procedures concerning the Commander of the Warsaw Police and the Chief of the National Police, and the internal supervision inspector at the Ministry of Interior. Further personnel decisions will be made in the coming hours and days - said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" program.

- In this case, we are dealing with an enormous tragedy, and it needs to be called by its name. But I can already see, especially on the so-called right-wing, how various kinds of hyenas are trying to exploit this matter politically - said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (The Dot over the i).

- In this type of case, when it comes to such sensitive matters, the most important thing for the victim of this crime is not to post on Twitter, TikTok, or other social media, but to have a swift reckoning for the perpetrator and swift support for the injured party. And that's what the police have done. And when I read the posts of various PiS politicians who say that this matter, that someone is trying to cover it up... - he continued.

- This is truly incredible. The person who committed this disgraceful act is already in custody. Immediate proceedings, immediate suspension from duty, disciplinary procedures initiated. Everything is being clarified on an ongoing basis and there are already consequences – Marcin Kierwiński said on TVN24’s “Kropka nad i,” when asked about Jarosław Kaczyński’s post.

- And these kinds of accusations are being made by someone who was the Deputy Prime Minister for Security. It was during his time, when he was the Deputy Prime Minister for Security in that government, that the murder case at the Igor Stachowiak police station was covered up. We all remember that. - For the first time in many years, Kaczyński has lost his spiritual hold on the right. He has, on one side, Konfederacja, and on the other, Braun, whom he himself cultivated. There is nothing to be happy about regarding Braun. There is Mr. Nawrocki, who is trying to be a hegemon on this right-wing side - said Marcin Kierwiński in "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

- It is evident that for the first time, Kaczyński truly has no control over what is happening within his party. The fact that PiS is so weakened is good for Poland, because the weaker PiS is, the greater the probability that far-right populists will never return to power in Poland - he assessed.
