- The budget project presented to us practically represents the highest deficit in our history, the highest level of debt in our history. Interestingly, our deficit is the second highest in the entire European Union, and the costs of servicing this debt are also in second place in the entire European Union. On the other hand, we have the highest increase in debt in the entire European Union, and the highest borrowing needs in our history. One-third of our expenses will be borrowed. The deficit is 50% of income - Sławomir Mentzen said in the Sejm during the debate on the budget project.
