At 12:00 PM, a mass will be held in the Archcathedral Basilica for the intention of the fatherland and the president. At 2:00 PM, at the Royal Castle, the investiture ceremony of the President of the Republic of Poland as Grand Master of the Order of the White Eagle and the Order of Polonia Restituta will begin. During this event, Karol Nawrocki is scheduled to give an address. At 3:15 PM, the ceremonial entry of the Presidential Couple into the Presidential Palace is planned. At 4:30 PM, a ceremony will be held where the president will assume supreme command over the Polish Armed Forces. Karol Nawrocki is expected to deliver an address.

Szłapka:

Prime Minister and Government Will Attend National Assembly
- Yes, I think so [that the government will be complete], someone might be missing, but certainly not for any particular reason. The Prime Minister will be there, the Council of Ministers will be there, MPs and senators will be there. It is the National Assembly, after all, an event described in the Constitution - stated Adam Szłapka on TVN24's "One on One". - To my knowledge, the [Council of Ministers will be present at the swearing-in], but if someone is absent, it will certainly not be a demonstration - he continued.

07:45

Szłapka on Presidential Powers:

Everything is Precisely Described in the Constitution.
Everything is very precisely described in the Constitution, and everything is precisely described in laws, even in the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling. The President indeed has the powers to represent Poland abroad, as he is, according to the Constitution, the highest representative of the authorities in Poland, but he must always represent the government's stance. This is his obligation, and there is no exception to this rule – stated Adam Szłapka on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden" program.

07:46

"Whether the President Likes It or Not, He Must Cooperate." Szłapka: The Energy Price Freeze Act is a "Test"
We must cooperate with each other, and whether the president likes it or not, he must cooperate, because he will also be held accountable by voters. Good laws will be on the table, for example, the energy price freeze act, because it will now go to President Nawrocki. This is a kind of "test": will he sign it or not – stated Adam Szłapka in the TVN24 program "Jeden na jeden".

08:00

Szłapka on Duda's decision:

He will be accounted for his presidency in the most brutal way possible.
- He didn't veto this law [on psychological assistance], he just sent it to Święczkowski, to the Constitutional Tribunal. He effectively blocked it. A miserable end to a miserable presidency. If Mr. President is to be accounted for his presidency in the most brutal way imaginable – history will crush him, maybe not in a week, two, or three, but the assessments of Andrzej Duda and his presidency will be very bad – stated Adam Szłapka on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:08

Siemoniak:

We haven't declared war on the new president. No political decisions were made regarding Cenckiewicz
- Of course not [we haven't declared war on the new president]. Regarding Mr. Cenckiewicz, I could refer back to 2023 and his infamous report, where, among other things, he accused Prime Minister Tusk and myself of various baseless things and stated that we could not hold any positions. So, if someone uses such war rhetoric, let them remember what they themselves did - said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's "Graffiti". - The matter is substantive, it is legal, and in the assessment of the services, it is evident. There were no political decisions here; it's simply that the services assess who should have access to classified information, and that's all. The court will continue to deal with this matter, and the court will resolve these legal doubts - he continued.

08:16

Siemoniak:

I Don't Feel Stress Ahead of National Security Council and Cabinet Council Meetings. We Will Cooperate with President Nawrocki
- Regarding the National Security Council, I have participated in dozens of its meetings, including during the presidency of Andrzej Duda, both as a representative of the opposition and later as a minister. Nobody there ever felt like they were being summoned to account; it's simply a discussion. When the media are not present, this discussion looks different - said Tomasz Siemoniak on Polsat News. - There were also Cabinet Councils; this is the president's prerogative, so I don't feel any stress in this regard. We cooperated with President Andrzej Duda, and we will cooperate with President Karol Nawrocki - he continued.

08:26

Siemoniak:

When Kaczyński Says He Wants a Referendum, I'll Be Among the First to Vote Against Illegal Migration
- When we talk about fighting illegal migration, I don't think there's anyone in Poland who would support it. It's a crime, it's hybrid aggression from Belarus and Russia against Poland, where they cynically and instrumentally use people, bringing them and pushing them towards Poland - said Tomasz Siemoniak on Polsat News. - When President Kaczyński says he wants to hold a referendum on illegal migration, I will be the first, and likely you, Mr. Editor, and everyone who votes against illegal migration - he continued.

08:32

Siemoniak on Reports Regarding Ruchniewicz and the Discussion on the Return of Cultural Property to Germany:

I Grabbed My Head
- I wasn't involved in these issues, I read an article in the newspaper, and I grabbed my head that someone is discussing returning something from Poland to Germany - Tomasz Siemoniak told Polsat News. - I understand that one can discuss this, that sometimes exchanges happen, museums exchange items, but this voice sounded very false, and hence these decisions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - he continued.

08:41

Tusk Tweets Ahead of Swearing-in:

We'll Manage.
I have worked with three presidents as Prime Minister so far. Cohabitation with Lech Kaczyński was difficult, but not hostile; with Bronisław Komorowski, friendly but demanding; and with Andrzej Duda, uncomplicated and very predictable. How will it be with the fourth? We'll manage - Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media.

09:13

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I Approach the New President with an Offer to Continue
- In most, perhaps not all, but in the vast majority of matters, we have come to an agreement, we have reached a consensus. The strategy of building a strong army, a strong society, and strong alliances, support for Ukraine, building and transforming the armed forces in the most effective way – this has been successfully achieved. I am approaching the new president with this offer to continue; it will depend on him whether he accepts the same model as President Duda or wishes to act differently here – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

09:23

Bogucki:

Calling Tusk the Worst PM in the Third Republic is an Understatement
Mr. Editor, ladies and gentlemen, compared to what Donald Tusk said about President Karol Nawrocki, the statement, incidentally based on facts and truth, that Donald Tusk is the worst Prime Minister in the Third Republic is a real understatement. Donald Tusk used such words against President Karol Nawrocki, he tried to deploy such disgraceful tactics during the campaign, that this is truly a mild description of Donald Tusk - stated Zbigniew Bogucki in the program "Signals of the Day" on PR1, when asked about the assessment of the current government. - However, Donald Tusk is not the entire government. Donald Tusk is not the center of the universe today. Donald Tusk is, of course, the Prime Minister, and the President will respect that. Please note that the President, even before taking office, and thus as President-elect, met, for example, with the Marshal of the Sejm, Mr. Szymon Hołownia, he met with other leaders, including Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz - he continued. - In fact, on this list of people he spoke with, he met with everyone except one person. Do you know who that person is? Donald Tusk. I think this shows that there is a possibility for dialogue, cooperation, this notorious cohabitation, with practically everyone except one person, his political camp. They must think about this, because today Karol Nawrocki, as the President of the Republic, has the strongest, freshest, most powerful mandate from free democratic elections directly from the will of the nation - Bogucki concluded.

09:24

"Not CPK Implementation, It's a Smoke Screen." Bogucki: It's Some Kind of Skeleton Project
- Even as a candidate for doctorate, Karol Nawrocki, and today the President of the Republic, spoke about this and will try to continue to do so. For example, through actions that unite Poles. This initiative for CPK forced this government to do something towards CPK, not to liquidate it. Although this project is, of course, so severely cut down that it is difficult to call it a Central Communication Port today. Many Poles, not only supporters of Law and Justice or conservative, right-wing circles, said yes to CPK. So it's not such a simple division as the election result suggests. That's one thing - stated Zbigniew Bogucki in the program "Sygnały dnia" on PR1. - This is not the implementation of CPK, Mr. Editor, it's a smoke screen, it's a smoke screen. There are no railways, there are no lines, it's some kind of skeleton project from a major development project for Poland - he continued. - I understand that this is the philosophy they presented even before 2015, i.e., diffusion-polarization development, meaning first the largest maybe three, maybe four, maybe five centers, and let the rest worry, if something drips from this lord's table, then maybe they will be entitled to something. We, as Law and Justice, have moved away from that policy - Bogucki summarized.

09:29

Bogucki on President Nawrocki's Plans for the Coming Days:

There Will Be an Offensive.
- One could say there will be an offensive from the President, because this presidency will be offensive, dynamic, and active. There will be meetings with residents, there will be meetings in places the President has not yet visited during the campaign due to objective circumstances, such as trips to the United States, a large number of debates. The President will want to visit all districts in Poland, including those he has not yet visited during the campaign - stated Zbigniew Bogucki in the program “Sygnały dnia” on PR1, when asked about the President's plans for the coming days. - Well, there are still quite a few of them [districts], but there are still enough of them to keep busy. And on the other hand, and this is also a reference to the earlier question, it’s not just a defensive role for the President. The President can be offensive. The President has instruments, such as legislative initiative, to act actively - he continued.

09:33

Bogucki:

In the first days, the President Will "Put on the Table" Three Bills
I have already spoken about one of them, the Central Communication Port in the variant and project proposed by the social, civic side. I am talking about this civic project. Of course, this civic project had to be adapted to meet all legislative requirements, because it is no longer coming from citizens, where various provisions can be more flexible, but from the President, from the Chancellery of the President - stated Zbigniew Bogucki in the program "Sygnały dnia" on PR1, when asked about the President's legislative initiatives. - Certainly, the issue concerning agriculture. Here, I can already invite you for the 9th at 11:30 AM to Krąpiel, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, which is my region, Stargard district. I invite farmers, but also residents of West Pomerania, Stargard district, to be there. There will be a meeting with voters, and a bill concerning agricultural matters will also be signed there - he continued. - Also, a matter that concerns everyone in the near future, in the coming days, i.e., tax issues. But here, the President will inform about it. The announcements he made during the campaign, or presented during the campaign, will be implemented, one might say, in the first days, not even in the first hundred days - said Zbigniew Bogucki.

09:53

Szefernaker:

President Duda is Ready to Discuss Matters Crucial for Poland with Those in Power
- We are counting on the possibility of reaching an understanding on matters that are most important to Poles today. The President clearly expressed his opinion on the current government and his assessment of its work, but this does not mean he will not cooperate. He will cooperate with the government - stated Paweł Szefernaker in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm. - If there is openness to dialogue from the other side, the President is ready to discuss matters most important for Poland - he continued. - The President is ready to discuss matters most important for Poland with those in power - he added.

10:07

Tusk:

We're Setting Off for Victory Again. Let's Do Everything to Be More Numerous in Two Years
- I am addressing all Poles for whom today is a sad and disappointing day. I know very well what you feel, I understand you. We all believed that honesty, good, and love would triumph, and what has happened puts this faith of ours to a serious test - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a recording published on X. - You were counting on 10 years of embarrassment, sadness, and concerns for the homeland to end definitively today. Meanwhile, new concerns are added to the old ones. But what does this mean for us, people who desire an honest, free, and beautiful Poland, free from violence, hatred, and contempt? Only one thing: we must be even stronger. We must be persistent. We must be together - he continued. - I implore you, do not lose your faith in good, in honesty, in freedom. This faith makes Poles a great nation. Without this faith of yours, there is no Poland. You are the salt of the earth, on you rests the future - he went on to say. - You know, in life, as in sport, defeats happen, but after a defeat, you have to get up and move on, because there is only one way to overcome defeat: faith in victory and victory itself, and we are setting off for that victory again, today, tomorrow, and every day. Remember when we started, almost no one gave us a chance, and at our first march, there were half a million of us, at the second, a million, on October 15th, over 11 million. So let's do everything to be even more numerous in two years and let today only mobilize us for that. Because after all, our white-and-red hearts are invincible - he added.

President Karol Nawrocki: The New Head of State Takes the Oath
Shortly after 10:00 AM, the National Assembly convened, during which Karol Nawrocki took the oath and assumed the office of President of the Republic of Poland.

10:19

Nawrocki:

The Nation's Choice Placed Me Before You, Despite Election Propaganda, Lies, and the Contempt I Forgive as a Christian
- The free choice of a free nation has placed me before you today. It has placed me before you despite the election propaganda, the lies, despite the political theatre, and despite the contempt I encountered on the path to the office of President of the Republic of Poland, and I forgive it, and as a Christian, with a peaceful heart and from the depths of my heart, I forgive all that contempt and everything that happened during the elections - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:20

Nawrocki on the Signal of June 1st:

The Current Way of Governing Cannot Continue, Poland Should Not Look Like This Today.
These elections, held on June 1st, also sent a strong voice from the sovereign to the entire political class, electing me to the office of President of the Republic of Poland. It is a voice that says the current way of governing cannot continue and that Poland should not look like this today. It is the voice of Polish women and men, who want politicians to fulfill the promises made during the election campaign. June 1st is a clear signal that Poles want electoral promises fulfilled, they want to elect their president in a feeling of freedom, and they will not succumb to political propaganda – stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:22

Nawrocki:

I Intend to Be Consistent and Determined in Implementing Plan 21
My promises are contained in Plan 21. In the program for Poland for the 21st century, a program that received 10.5 million voter votes, therefore my speech today cannot come as a surprise to anyone, as I intend to be consistent and determined in implementing Plan 21 - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:25

Nawrocki:

I will be the voice of those who want a sovereign Poland, which is in the EU, but a Poland that is not the EU, but is Poland.
- I want to clearly declare that I will not make my decisions in accordance with these divisions and political divides, but against these divides, always making decisions that refer to the voice of the Polish nation, not to political or party emotions - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly. - Therefore, I will be the voice of those who want a sovereign Poland, which is in the EU, but a Poland that is not the EU, but is Poland and will remain Poland - he continued.

10:30

Nawrocki:

I will be the voice of Poles who want a normal Poland, tied to values, with Polish readings in schools
- I will also be the voice of those Poles who want a normal Poland, a Poland tied to its values, a Poland with a good Polish school, with Polish literature and with Polish required readings in Polish schools - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly. - As a person who has been involved in education and national memory for over a dozen years, I will do everything to ensure that a good Polish school educates future generations of Poles, and that a Polish student leaving school truly feels pride in being Polish - he continued.

10:30

Nawrocki:

We Need to Awaken the Aspirations of the Polish Nation; We Can No Longer Be a Subsidiary Farm of Our Western Neighbors
- Today, we need grand plans, grand investments, we need to awaken the aspirations of the Polish nation, because we can no longer be a subsidiary farm of our western neighbors or the entire EU - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:32

Nawrocki Announces Legislative Initiative:

So That We Return to the Traditional Shape of CPK.
- Yes, we need large, groundbreaking investment projects, I have already mentioned this, but I will mention CPK regularly, and tomorrow I will submit a legislative initiative so that we return to the traditional shape of CPK - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:33

Poland is on a Very Bad Path of Development. Something Needs to Change. Nawrocki on State Debt, Demographics, and Housing
- When we look at the rapidly growing debt of the Polish state and the national debt, as well as the objective demographic problem in our homeland and the housing problem, then unfortunately, Poland is on a very bad path of development today, and we must be aware of this. Something needs to change - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:34

Nawrocki Announces Cabinet Council Session
- I would like to cordially invite you to a session of the Cabinet Council, which will take place in August. I want to discuss developmental investments, the most important investments ahead of us, and the state of public finances with the Polish government. As the President of Poland, I feel obliged, Mr. Prime Minister, to have full information on the state of the Polish nation - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:38

Nawrocki:

It's hard to call a state lawful where the legally elected National Prosecutor doesn't operate and function
Poland must return to the path of the rule of law. Today, Poland is not on the path of the rule of law. Because it is hard to call a state lawful where the legally elected National Prosecutor does not operate and function, where Article 7 of the Constitution, stating that state authorities must act on the basis and within the limits of the law, is unfortunately regularly violated. Therefore, I stand here to appeal to the entire political class, but also to convey to Polish judges and the Minister of Justice that judges are there to issue verdicts in the name of the Republic of Poland, and the judiciary is one of the three branches of power in the Polish democratic system - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:40

Nawrocki:

I Will Not Promote or Nominate Judges Who Undermine the Constitutional and Legal Order of Poland
- Esteemed Prime Minister, Mister Minister of Justice, I will not promote or nominate those judges who undermine the constitutional and legal order of the Republic of Poland. I will promote, advance, and nominate those judges who respect the constitutional and legal order of the Republic of Poland, in accordance with the Constitution and laws adopted by the Polish parliament and signed by the president. This is how I envision the legal order of the Polish state - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:41

Nawrocki Announces Special Council Formation:

Poles Want State System Reform.
- At the Presidential Palace, I will establish a Council for the Reform of the State System. This cannot go on, and Poles want a reform of the state system. I will, of course, invite representatives from all political circles, academics, and individuals who care deeply about the Polish state and our system to this council, and I believe the Presidential Palace will become a place for dialogue and discussion on the consistent reform of the Republic of Poland's system - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:43

Nawrocki Announces Work on a New Constitution
- So many disputes over competencies have occurred, and the Polish Constitution has been so regularly violated recently, that we as a political class must begin working on solutions for a new fundamental law, which I hope and believe will be ready for adoption in 2030 - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

10:43

Nawrocki on a Supra-Political Agreement on Housing, Investments, and Public Finance:

I Count on the Cooperation of All Circles.
- I deeply believe, and I am looking here at the left side of the Polish parliament, I deeply believe that on issues of housing, development investments, and Polish public finances, we are able to reach a supra-political agreement - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly. - Yes, this is not a matter of political emotions, it is a matter of housing for people [...] it is a matter of the future of our children and future generations of Poles, and I truly deeply count on the cooperation of all political circles around these issues, which we should not seek politics for, and I will also devote special attention to these issues in the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland - he continued.

10:45

Nawrocki:

I Believe We Will Reach Agreement on Matters Fundamental to Poland
- I believe we will reach agreement on matters fundamental to Poland and remove them from political dispute. These are issues of development, housing, Polish security – those around which I believe a cross-party, cross-political consensus can be built – stated President Karol Nawrocki during the National Assembly.

11:20

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

If Nawrocki Doesn't Sign the Bill, He Will Be Responsible for Higher Electricity Prices
- This is not about tastes, but about prices. Prices will be lower if this bill is signed. If President Nawrocki does not sign this bill, he will be responsible for higher electricity prices for Poles - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

11:27

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Someone Misled the President, Major Investments Only Started Under Our Government
- Someone misled the President, because major investments only started under our government - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm. - Yesterday, a breakthrough law was signed by President Duda, for which I am very grateful, on strategic and key investments in the Polish military and the defense industry. European funds have been unblocked, and for the first time, money from the KPO has been allocated to the Security and Defense Fund - he continued. - Matters related to the ammunition factory, which did not exist, and under our government, major investments are being made, the recent court victory of Minister Klimczak regarding the container port in Świnoujście, the agroport in Gdynia, the utilization of the Vistula Spit canal, which was purely for tourism, and thanks to our decisions to deepen the port entrance, it will be utilized completely differently. CPK as a Polish investment, not handed over to foreign hands - he went on to say.

11:35

Kosiniak-Kamysz on a Constitutional Reset:

This Will Be a Test of the President's Goodwill.
- The evolution of the Constitution and a systemic reset, I would start with that, with a new chapter on the Constitutional Tribunal, that is my proposal, our proposal as the PSL, a new chapter on the Constitutional Tribunal. This will also be a test of the president's goodwill, whether he will want to get involved in such a project of constitutional reset concerning the judiciary – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

11:45

Tusk:

The Desire to Possess Powers Held by the Prime Minister and Government in the Polish Political System is Evident
- We are, of course, ready for that [confrontation], although I would prefer that these less authentic words about the need for cooperation had their consequences. In short, this is not the first time that as Prime Minister I have listened to a presidential address, and it was the same with previous presidents. Such an address, where the desire to possess the competencies that the Prime Minister and government have in the Polish political system is very evident - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm. - The Constitution, and President Nawrocki referred to the Constitution many times in his address, is unequivocal. So I hope, I am not sure, that this sometimes quite boastful and confrontational tone will not have any practical consequences, but if necessary, we will stand firm, also as guardians of the Constitution - this is not an attack, please be calm - and the rules that apply in our state - he continued.

11:47

President Kaczyński's Nerves are Justified." Tusk: There is Clearly a New Leader of the Right
Even if not all quotes were aptly chosen, generally it's evident that President Nawrocki prepared for his first speech long and diligently. The third, perhaps for me the most important impression, I saw it, maybe because I was sitting close, that the only politician in the room who was perhaps nervous and increasingly sad was Jarosław Kaczyński, and I'm not surprised at all - Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm. - There is a change of guard on the right, there is clearly a new leader of the right. I don't know which of you heard bitter words today from a very nervous Mr. Kaczyński to one of the journalists. I think he found out he was called a boor. So it seems to me that President Kaczyński's nerves are justified. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes today - he continued.

11:51

Tusk to PiS:

You Won't Get Your Way.
- I am not surprised that PiS is so keen on President Nawrocki effectively paralyzing the work of the prosecutor's office, but I want to say: you won't get your way - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

11:53

Nawrocki:

Today is a victory for a free, sovereign, independent Poland with ambitions
- I would like us all to realize that this, and today, is our common victory. It is the victory of a free, sovereign, independent Poland, a Poland with its own ambitions, and you carried me to this victory, and I thank you for that - said President Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with demonstrators in front of the Sejm.

11:56

Nawrocki:

What happened on June 1st was a lesson in humility for those who desire autocracy in Poland
- Alongside freedom, what happened on June 1st was also a lesson in humility. It was a lesson in humility for all those who would like autocracy to reign in Poland. It is healthy for Poland, for the Republic, that there will be a president in the palace who will speak in the name of the nation - said President Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with those demonstrating in front of the Sejm.

12:00

Nawrocki:

We've Managed to Build Great Social Energy. I Ask You Not to Waste It
- I ask you not to waste this great, social energy that we have managed to generate in the coming times, this energy that was created by civic committees, by the political party Law and Justice, by the trade union Solidarity, by foundations, associations, movements, and all of you - said President Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with those demonstrating in front of the Sejm. - This is social energy that we have managed to build, and which led to me receiving 10.5 million votes in these presidential elections. I ask you, let's not waste this energy and let's do everything to build a great, strong, socially responsible, and ambitious Poland - he continued.

14:39

This is What Warsaw Looks Like on the Inauguration Day. Szefernaker Publishes a Photo of a Sea of Flags
- This is what Warsaw looks like on the inauguration day of President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki. Long live Poland! - Paweł Szefernaker wrote on social media.

16:51

Kosiniak-Kamysz Addresses the President:

Without Cooperation, There is No Building Security.
"Without cooperation, there is no building security; hateful shouting weakens it, destroys community, and does not build alliance potential or societal strength. Regardless of emotions, which are a normal matter, for us, for our government, cooperation in the field of security, for the Ministry of National Defence, for me as the Minister of Defence, is a sacred mandate stemming from the Constitution, the laws of the Republic of Poland, and truly from the heart's need to care for the well-being and security of our beloved homeland, and nothing will stop us on this path, and nothing will discourage us on this path," stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a ceremony at Piłsudski Square.

"We will be full of passion for building together, I believe, Mr. President, the strength of the Republic of Poland, preparing for the most difficult events that may befall us," he continued.

16:58

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I want to declare such cooperation for paramount and most important values
- We must all be united in one goal. Building a state that no one will ever dare to attack. Because our strength is needed for freedom, the strength of our army for defending sovereignty and independence. The strength of society is needed for building security; such cooperation I want to declare for these paramount and most important values - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the ceremony at Piłsudski Square.

17:07

Nawrocki to Soldiers: For the 5 Years of My Term, I Will Call You Heroes of Our Modern Times
- Because we are aware of the symbolism and the moment and place we are meeting, for the entire 5 years of my term in office, I will call all of you, soldiers of the Polish Army, heroes of our modern times. You are heroes of our modern times – stated Karol Nawrocki during the ceremony on Piłsudski Square.

17:10

Nawrocki:

No Development or Security for Poland Without Security
We have a deep conviction that today, whether Poland is secure or not, is decided by Polish soldiers, Polish officers. There is no development for Poland without security, no prosperity for Poland without security. There is no security for Poland without the Polish soldier, which is why the matter of building the Polish Armed Forces and responsibility for the Polish Army is the concern of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the President of the Republic of Poland. I say this because I will be an active Commander-in-Chief who, by the will of the voters, will want to influence the recruitment system, the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces, and the future development of the Polish Armed Forces – stated President Karol Nawrocki during a ceremony on Piłsudski Square.

17:10

Nawrocki to the government regarding national security:

I want to convey.
“At the same time, I want to convey to the Prime Minister, the Minister, and the entire Polish government that the Presidential Palace and the National Security Bureau (BBN) will not be a redoubt of contesting the government’s actions concerning our common security, but rather a redoubt of motivation, of seeking common solutions for our common national security,” stated President Karol Nawrocki during a ceremony on Piłsudski Square.

17:13

Nawrocki:

I Will Do Everything to Build the Strongest NATO Army in Europe in the Coming Years
- Let there be no doubt. Allies only defend those who can defend themselves. Therefore, as the President of Poland, I will do everything to build at least a 300,000-strong Polish army in the coming years, the strongest army of the North Atlantic Alliance in Europe – stated Karol Nawrocki during a ceremony on Piłsudski Square.

17:15

Nawrocki on Poland Becoming Europe's Military Powerhouse:

I Believe In It.
Who else but the President of the Polish state should believe that in the next 5, 10, 20 years, Poland will become Europe's military powerhouse? Yes, I believe in it and I will make every effort and exert my full power to make it happen – stated President Karol Nawrocki during the ceremony on Piłsudski Square.

Nawrocki Announces Establishment of Special Breakthrough Technologies Department at BBN
- I have decided that within the framework of the National Security Bureau (BBN), headed by Prof. Cenckiewicz, a special department for breakthrough technologies will be established to support all efforts of the Ministry of National Defence (MON) and the Polish army in the development of new technologies - stated President Karol Nawrocki during a ceremony on Piłsudski Square.

Szefernaker:

I have a sense that we are starting a new chapter
- I have a sense that we are starting a new chapter, this time of work for the Republic of Poland in the Chancellery of the President, in the Presidential Palace. Tomorrow is the official appointment of ministers who will cooperate with Mr. President, and I have a sense that this is a time of very dynamic work, because that is the kind of presidency Karol Nawrocki, now already president, announced, and that is what this presidency will be - Paweł Szefernaker stated in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:44

Szefernaker:

On Matters Most Important to Poland, We Are Ready to Act Conciliatorily
- Certainly, on matters most important to Poland, we are ready to act conciliatorily. The President has proven this over the past 1.5 months, meeting, currently serving as President-elect, with Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz. He has met with Marshal Hołownia twice. On matters important to Poland, he is ready for talks. He has spoken with MP Zandberg, he met with MP Mentzen – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:47

Szefernaker:

Nawrocki Will Discuss Matters Most Important for Poland with Those Currently in Power
- If there is willingness from both sides in the near future, such a meeting will certainly happen. The President has responded positively to proposals for meetings with representatives of various parliamentary factions, groups, and environments. Regardless of which side of the political scene these environments come from, he will also discuss matters most important for Poland with those who are currently in power - stated Paweł Szefernaker on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

Szefernaker asked about the electricity price law:

This is a law in which other controversial solutions are embedded.
- Under the guise of lowering prices, which is extremely important and which President Nawrocki supports, other insertions are appearing. I repeat, this is a law in which other solutions that are controversial are also embedded. When there is a decision, the President will inform about it - stated Paweł Szefernaker in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - It certainly cannot be the case that in a seemingly important and seemingly good law, solutions are embedded through which Poles living in places where wind turbines will be built, throughout Poland, will suffer - he continued.

Kidawa-Błońska on the Audience's Reaction to Kosiniak-Kamysz's Speech:

It Was Quite Surprising.
"It was quite surprising to me, because if this is a celebration, a celebration of democracy, when this very important act of transferring the command of the armed forces to the President takes place, I thought that even the President's sympathizers should respect that," stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska in the program "Pytanie dnia" (Question of the Day) on TVP INFO, when asked about the behavior of the audience in Piłsudski Square, who drowned out the speech of the head of the Ministry of National Defence - Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. "I remember, I don't know in which year it was, when once a crowd attacked Marshal Borusewicz, but back then Lech Kaczyński had the courage and silenced those people in his speech. He said that one should not behave like that. Here, the President had a chance in his address to say: 'Listen, this is an important day. We are talking about the security of our country. Please, let us respect the Minister of National Defence, the Deputy Prime Minister, because we are talking about the same, most important issues,'" she continued. "I think it would have been a good signal that we are seeking agreement, reconciliation, and that on this day we can respect each other. There is a great lack of that respect," Kidawa-Błońska concluded.

Kidawa-Błońska on Nawrocki's Speech in the Sejm:

Certainly Not Conciliatory.
- It certainly wasn't conciliatory. The election campaign is over, and I had the impression that the President's speech wasn't an address to the nation after taking office, but rather still a campaign speech - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska on the program "Pytanie dnia" (Question of the Day) on TVP INFO, when asked about President Nawrocki's speech in the Sejm today. - We will see what the next steps will be, how the President will behave, but certainly the President has his tasks to perform in our country, and the President cannot replace the government, the Sejm, or the Senate. He must accept that each of these institutions, these bodies, has its role to play - she continued. - A politician who constantly talks about divisions and does not respect their political opponents always loses out. Perhaps at first everyone says: "My God, how strong, how powerful, how forcefully he spoke," but then it turns out that this kind of strength is his weakness - Kidawa-Błońska concluded.

They Want to Break Free from Kaczyński's Authority. Kidawa-Błońska on Internal Matters of the PiS Camp
- Certainly, among the politicians of Law and Justice, there are many of the middle generation who are waiting for their time, and they have been waiting quite a long time. The nominations to the Presidential Palace by the President himself already show that he did not entirely follow President Kaczyński's suggestions. It's such a large party that they want to decide for themselves, they want to break free from Jarosław Kaczyński's authority, and we will see – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska in the program "Question of the Day" on TVP INFO, when asked about the relationship between PiS and President Duda. - The first decisions in the near future will show whether the new president will travel to Nowogrodzka Street, or whether Mr. Kaczyński will sometimes deign to visit the Presidential Palace, because there hasn't been such a practice lately – she continued.

21:33

Kidawa-Błońska:

I am concerned by the shouts raised by PiS in the Sejm
- Of course, because it's a shout of [This is Poland!] not stating something, because after all, we all know that this is Poland - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska in the program "Question of the Day" on TVP INFO. - We are in the Polish Sejm for the swearing-in of the Polish president. We know where we are. This is being used to show that there are some others, there are some foreigners, there are some people who want to influence the fate of our country. But it is we who influence the fate of our country. Both PiS and the Civic Coalition, and those people who are not involved in any party's life. It is we who influence life in Poland, not any foreigners. So such slogans are disturbing because they look for a foreigner, meaning an enemy - she continued.

Kidawa-Błońska on Nawrocki’s Announcement:

It’s Just a Propaganda Ploy.
- It would be great if such a council [Council for System Repair] were established, but it should be a serious council, not just a propaganda council where they will talk about what the October 15 coalition did wrong. If we were to sit down seriously, and indeed, prominent specialists have met over the past years and sought solutions. If representatives of Mr. President were to join them now and seriously consider what we can do together, it would be great. But in my opinion, this is just a propaganda ploy – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska in the program “Pytanie dnia” (Question of the Day) on TVP INFO, when asked about Nawrocki’s announcement of establishing a “Council for System Repair”. - So, Mr. President said that he deeply believes that Law and Justice will win the next parliamentary elections and then they will do what they want with Poland. But someone who is so arrogant and convinced that they will definitely win might be disappointed. The Constitution can only be changed when the entire society is convinced of it. This is a document for all of us, and everyone must accept the provisions of the Constitution – she continued.
