Support for Civil Partnerships? Czarnek Sets a Condition, Discussing the 'Murder of Marriage' and 'Fighting the Family'
- I've been saying for a long time, I'm ready to discuss this, and any facilitation for me is absolutely acceptable, for anyone who wants to, to authorize another person in the simplest way possible to visit them in the hospital, to have access to information, so that inheritance matters for people living in common households are much simpler than they are today - said Przemysław Czarnek in Polsat News.
- All these conveniences are on the table, except for one thing: let's not equate civil partnerships with marriage, because only marriage is under the legal protection of the Republic of Poland and has been an institution of immense importance for the development of Latin civilization since Roman law - he continued.
- I will be in favor of all solutions that do not equate marriage with any civil partnerships, which exist and no one is delegalizing them [...]. If anything were to facilitate running a common household, then I am for it, but I am not for calling it marriage - he went on to say.
- The discussion is about how to murder marriage and fight the family. This is a civilizational problem - he added.
- Because this is what is happening in Western Europe, and it's visible to the naked eye, what is happening - he emphasized, when asked why someone would want to murder marriage by introducing civil partnerships.
