It was a kind of intellectual shortcut.

- Well, [there's] no such thing as a 'Marshal's veto.' But we also have a situation where currently [...] the Marshal's office is holding 50 draft laws, very different laws. If we were to introduce such an automatism: something enters the Sejm, the Sejm is torn apart, first reading, and at some point, 'well no, this really doesn't hold water' [...] then this institution would simply lose gigantic opportunities for creating good law, any law - said Marek Siwiec in an interview with Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf on TVP Info's 'Question of the Day'.

- The point is that this veto was a kind of intellectual shortcut, signaling that the Sejm, in the current complicated situation for the state, should be dealing with the most important matters - he pointed out.
