Szłapka Highlights Morawiecki's Post:

Disinformation That Precisely Fits the Russian Propaganda Narrative.

Michał Lubowicki

- What is disinformation must be clearly called disinformation, because it is simply harmful from the perspective of state security - Adam Szłapka said at a press conference in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

- This is a tweet from former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. It can be very clearly stated that this is a classic example of disinformation that appears in the European space as Kremlin disinformation - he stated.

- What do we have here? This is a real photo of a German military vehicle. We see what Prime Minister Morawiecki wrote: “German soldiers in Poland feel at home.” What is the message and what is the recipient supposed to hear from this? Firstly, “the bad West,” secondly, “bad Germany,” and “Poland's border is unsecured” - commented the government spokesperson.

- And what is the truth? These are NATO units. Germany, which is our ally in NATO, and other allied states from NATO have been operating in Poland as part of joint actions for many years. We cooperate, and this is also a matter of our security. […] This type of “information” transmission, and in reality disinformation, precisely fits the Russian propaganda narrative - he stated.

- Fortunately, in the end, Mr. Morawiecki reflected and deleted the tweet. However, it appeared in the public space and caused a lot of harm: inciting hatred towards the West, our allies, NATO, and Germans. There is also the issue of migration in the background, of course. It is very harmful from the perspective of state security. I warn against this, we will fight against it - he added.
