Furthermore, Prime Minister Donald Tusk has invited leaders of all coalition parties to the villa at Parkowa Street in Warsaw today. At 10:00 AM, the Sejm investigative committee on Pegasus will begin its deliberations. Committee members intend to question former Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro. 07:36

"Transition Period": Szefernaker on the President-Elect's Office within the Presidential Chancellery
- At this moment, President-elect Karol Nawrocki will be assembling the team that will cooperate with him. We have discussed how this team should look over these next two months, in order for it to be effective and function well. The President-elect will have his office within the Presidential Chancellery; we have had discussions with representatives of the chancellery regarding how this will look - stated Paweł Szefernaker in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24. - So, this is currently a transition period, and as for what will happen in the future and what the team cooperating with President Nawrocki will look like, President Nawrocki will be providing that information - he continued.

07:38

Szefernaker on Nawrocki's Plans:

Concrete Information in the Coming Days.
- Concrete information will be available in the coming days. It is also the case that official results will only be announced on Monday; at the moment, there are many conversations, including congratulatory notes from around the world. I am convinced that within the next hours and days, there will be information that will be concrete, not media speculation - stated Paweł Szefernaker in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

07:39

Szefernaker on Kuchciński:

I Haven't Heard of Such a Proposal.
- Over the last 3 days, I have had many conversations with the president-elect, as well as with PiS leaders. And for the first time, I am hearing about such a proposal; I have not heard of such a proposal [for Marek Kuchciński]. I truly believe that the president should be informing about media speculation - stated Paweł Szefernaker in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

07:41

informally:

These are private matters between gentlemen." Szefernaker asked if Nawrocki had started addressing Kaczyński as "you
- These are private matters between gentlemen. I understand we are on a news television channel, I understand you are looking for some news. Whether someone addresses another as "sir" or "you" informally is a matter between those two individuals - stated Paweł Szefernaker in TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

07:47

Szefernaker on Kaczyński's Words and Calculations Just Before the Convention:

A Candidate Supported by PiS Cannot Promise What They Won't Deliver.
- Do you know what impressed me about Jarosław Kaczyński? On March 1st, the day before the program convention, he precisely asked if everything was truly calculated, because we cannot promise something, a candidate supported by PiS cannot promise something they won't deliver. On that day, calculations were still being made and experts were working on it – stated Paweł Szefernaker in the "Piasecki's Interview" on TVN24.

07:48

Szefernaker:

Given the events of recent months, I wouldn't imagine good relations between Nawrocki's staff and TVN
- Let me tell you [asked about good relations with Donald Tusk's government]: given what has happened in recent months, I wouldn't imagine, for example, good relations between Karol Nawrocki's staff and TVN. Despite this, I am here, answering your questions, out of respect for the people, for Poles who watch your station, and out of respect for Poles, we must talk, cooperate. I am convinced that with any government, with which cooperation will be needed at a given moment - stated Paweł Szefernaker in TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

07:56

Szefernaker:

Do You Know the OSCE Report? TVN is Mentioned 8 Times
- Do you know the OSCE report? TVN is mentioned there 8 times. There is one quote: contrary to its mandate, public television, as well as private ones, TVN and Onet, often presented Mr. Nawrocki in a negative light, while Mr. Trzaskowski's coverage was largely uncritical. This is from the OSCE report, PiS is not saying this - stated Paweł Szefernaker in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

07:58

Szefernaker on TVN:

Journalists should ask questions, in Nawrocki's case you used exclamation marks.
As you have raised the issue of what journalists should be interested in. In a democracy, it is natural for them to ask questions, but they ask questions, they do not put exclamation marks at the end. I have watched TVN really many times in the last week, as well as other programs, and I will tell you that very often in topics where there were no witnesses, where a journalist should have put a question mark, in the case of Karol Nawrocki the cannons were aimed in such a way that you used exclamation marks – stated Paweł Szefernaker in the "Conversation with Piasecki" on TVN24.

08:11

Leszczyna on Trzaskowski's defeat:

Democracy is like that, we can't be offended by it.
- We are all aware, as is the Prime Minister, that we were counting on a win, that we did everything for our candidate Rafał Trzaskowski to win, Rafał himself did a lot. Politics and democracy are like that - we can't be offended by it - said Izabela Leszczyna in an interview with Marcin Fijołek in Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:21

Leszczyna:

The Government is Governing, We Are Preparing for Parliamentary Elections in 2.5 Years, and We Will Win Them
- It's worth remembering, and the Prime Minister did so yesterday, that over 10 million people voted for Rafał, meaning for the concept, for the values that we in the coalition government represent. This is a tremendous value, and we cannot let these people down, and we never will - Izabela Leszczyna stated in "Graffiti" on Polsat News. - The government is governing, we are preparing for parliamentary elections in 2.5 years, and we will win those elections - she declared.

08:30

Leszczyna:

No Discussion of Changing the Prime Minister. It's Hard to Imagine a Better Prime Minister Than Tusk
- A meeting with Prime Minister Tusk is always good, and a meeting of the entire club even more so. Prime Minister Donald Tusk, with his characteristic persuasive power yesterday, reminded us all that in Poland, the government rules – Izabela Leszczyna said on Polsat News's "Graffiti". - The Prime Minister definitely said that the government needs to be more efficient. Nothing is changing in the Presidential Chancellery; we had an unfriendly president, and that's probably even an understatement, and we will have essentially the same one, in a political sense, because he is a PiS representative through and through – she continued. - The situation isn't changing, but we have to change our own dynamics a bit and actually speed up – she added. - Absolutely [there is no discussion of changing the prime minister on the table]. We have a prime minister who, in the 25-year history of our party, has led us to govern Poland for 10 years […] and has won parliamentary elections three times. It's hard to imagine anyone better – she pointed out.

08:33

Wipler:

Early Elections Would Be Good for the Confederation and for Poland
- We are preparing to enter the government as the entire Confederation, but after the elections, after elections that will renew and increase the Confederation's mandate, and after elections that, if we maintain our current support, will give us a large, strong club, and it will be impossible to form a government without the Confederation - said Przemysław Wipler in the "Morning Conversation" on RMF FM. - If there were an opportunity to bring about early elections, it would be good for Poland and good for the Confederation - he continued.

08:38

Smaller Coalitions in this Government Will Perish and Not Enter the Next Parliament. Wipler on Lewica and PSL's Problems
- We all know that the smaller formations in this government will die first and will not enter the next parliament. Lewica has a fundamental problem in that there are three Lewicas: there is Nowa Lewica, the Lewica in Donald Tusk's team, and Adrian Zandberg's Lewica - said Przemysław Wipler to RMF FM. - Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe knows that with the current level of sentiment, when their voters went to Mentzen, Braun, and Nawrocki, they might stay there if they don't change course - he continued.

08:38

Leszczyna Responds to Criticism:

For many years, Mucha has been searching for her place in politics and hasn't found it yet.
- I will not criticize our smaller coalition partners, who, of course, after these elections are bruised, because they were hoping for much better results, and these frustrations certainly need to find an outlet somewhere. It is good to analyze the results of one's own leader, because the results of our leader are only three hundred thousand less than the president-elect – said Izabela Leszczyna in "Graffiti" Polsat News. - I think Joanna Mucha has been searching for her place in politics for many years and, in my opinion, hasn't found it yet – she stated, referring to the criticism from her coalition partner from Polska 2050. - If someone remembers the emotions in 2023 and the fact that Prime Minister Donald Tusk, looking at the polls, appealed for people to vote also for the Left and also for Joanna Mucha's new party, then I think that this is unjustified – she added.

08:43

Leszczyna:

Ever since Kamiński mistook the Senate drivers' work schedule for intelligence agency operations and surveillance, I've probably stopped taking his political analyses seriously
- This is another person [Michał Kamiński] looking for their place in politics. I personally like the Marshal very much; he is a very intelligent, likeable conversationalist. However, ever since he mistook the Senate drivers' work schedule for intelligence agency operations and surveillance, I've probably stopped taking his political analyses seriously - said Izabela Leszczyna in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:50

Wipler:

I believe no one in this Sejm will want to form a coalition with PiS. This party must learn respect for other formations.
- I think that no one in this Sejm will want to form a coalition with PiS, and if there is room for any minority government, then no one will want to bring politicians from Law and Justice into that government. [...] A technical government is a government to which you do not bring politicians with whom you have fundamental strategic differences and differences of interest – Przemysław Wipler told RMF FM. - In this term, as Konfederacja, we will not enter into any dirty deals. If something is to change, then let there be elections in Poland – he continued. - Mariusz Błaszczak and PiS [...] must learn respect for other political formations and parties. The 45% of voters who supported Karol Nawrocki in the second round are not Law and Justice voters; they are voters from other formations, including our voters – he added. - Attempts to play games like 'let's throw out some bogus idea of a technical government and roll that ball' – that's not how politics is done. If they wanted to establish common ground with us, to agree on a position, they would call, arrange a meeting, and discuss – he stated. - The first starting point for such a conversation, and the individuals who have the primary mandate to discuss something like this, are the 15 votes that are missing for any change. 15 people from the current ruling coalition would have to change the direction in which they are heading [...] the leader of this group would have an absolutely fundamental role in forming any technical government – he emphasized.

08:57

Giertych as Minister of Justice? Wipler: He'll Have as Little Say on Judicial Matters as Bodnar If the President Doesn't Sign the Laws
- Roman Giertych, with all his flaws and weaknesses, will certainly not have such a radically left-wing agenda on moral issues as Minister Bodnar - Przemysław Wipler told RMF FM. - He will be able to do as little as Adam Bodnar in a situation where there is no president who signs any legislative changes - he continued, after the host pointed out that he might have a more radical agenda on constitutional and judicial matters. - The fact that [Minister of Justice] could be Roman Giertych was one of the reasons Jarosław Kaczyński did not sign our motion for a vote of no confidence in Bodnar, because he told us, as Konfederacja, to guarantee him that they would not replace Bodnar with Giertych - he went on to say.

09:01

Wipler:

Zawiślak Wanted to Join Our Club From the Beginning of the Term
- That's not true [that PiS lent one of their MPs]. Mr. Zawiślak actually wanted to join our club practically from the beginning of the term. He held talks with the Confederation's parliamentary group, with Confederation politicians, even in the previous term. This was for various reasons, including because he stood up on the '5 for Animals' issue and was on his own formation's blacklist - Przemysław Wipler told RMF FM. - [He joined Grzegorz Braun's party] because he was wanted there - he continued.

09:02

Leszczyna:

If PiS hadn't stolen nearly 12 billion PLN from the National Health Fund, this problem wouldn't exist now
– Over 80% of the state budget subsidy planned for the National Health Fund (NFZ) this year has already been spent. How much money needs to appear in the system for everything to hold together reasonably for the whole of 2025? – Marcin Fijołek asked in Polsat News' "Graffiti". – I have to go back to PiS. If PiS hadn't stolen nearly 12 billion PLN from the NFZ, the NFZ wouldn't have this problem now, and I wouldn't have to talk to the Minister of Finance about this next subsidy to the NFZ simply being necessary – Izabela Leszczyna replied. – In 2022, they actually shifted a whole series of tasks from the state budget to the NFZ: medical rescue services, medications for seniors, and for children, youth, medications for pregnant women, which are also free. For the uninsured, as this is a different supply system, and for uniformed services. Really, a whole series – she enumerated. When asked how much money is missing this year for the NFZ budget to balance, she replied: – Today, I will probably receive a recommendation from the president of the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariffs, and then I will know. As I said: PiS stole 12 billion. If those 12 billion had remained in the NFZ, there would be no problem. I think so [this amount will solve the issue]; I will definitely know after the recommendation that the president will present to me today.

09:05

Wipler:

If Sikorski Ran Instead of Trzaskowski, He Probably Would Have Become President
- I believe that Radosław Sikorski, had he run instead of Rafał Trzaskowski, would probably be the President of Poland today - Przemysław Wipler told RMF FM. - This is a mistake by Civic Platform activists, who chose a person strongly disconnected from Poles, a person who is to the left of the Civic Coalition, when as the elections showed [...] the vast majority of Poles, their hearts still beat on the right side - he continued.

09:11

Wipler:

We Will Lose Several Ministries. Nitras Will Be Among the First to Go
- I think we will lose several ministries, the Ministry of Sport will cease to exist, because Minister Nitras has to pay for how well he ran the campaign – Przemysław Wipler told RMF FM. - They won't have accountability, just reorganization, and as part of this reorganization, the Campus Polska group, i.e., those people who were responsible for Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign, who were close to him, will be hit very hard at the roots, and one of the first to go will be Sławomir Nitras, who is one of the fathers of this undeniable success, which is [Trzaskowski's] ultimately gigantic defeat – he continued.

09:13

Leszczyna on the Hospital Act:

If nothing is done about this this year, I will resign.
- What about the hospital act, which you championed so enthusiastically? Why hasn't the government passed it yet? - asked Marcin Fijołek in "Graffiti" on Polsat News. - Without this act, the system really won't function - said Izabela Leszczyna in "Graffiti" on Polsat News. - You've been governing for a year and a half - observed the host. - The editor is right. But when we think that for 30 years we've basically heard constantly that this system needs to be reformed, and no one has succeeded, then I ask for a little more time and we will do it. This act must come into effect this year - declared the Minister of Health. - And if not, then what? Will you resign? - the journalist pressed. - If nothing can be done about the hospitals, then certainly yes. However, I have no such plans; this act will pass - she assured.

Ziobro Fails to Appear Before Pegasus Investigative Committee; Court Filing and New Hearing Date Set
Zbigniew Ziobro has once again failed to appear before the Pegasus investigative committee. The committee voted to submit a request to the court for the imposition of a fine of PLN 3,000 on the former Minister of Justice. - I am setting another date for the session, for which Zbigniew Ziobro will receive a summons, for June 27th of this year - said Magdalena Sroka.

11:30

TVP Program Council Meeting Canceled by Liquidator; Accused of Exceeding Authority. Bartmiński Announces Further Steps
- On March 20th of this year, the National Media Council appointed the Program Council of Polish Television S.A. [...] since March 20th, the program council has not managed to convene. The obligation to convene the Polish Television Program Council meeting has been placed upon the television's president, who is also the liquidator - said Jacek Bartmiński, a member of the TVP Program Council and Polski 2050, at a press conference. - The liquidator, despite my call for action in this regard after 5 weeks, not only did not respond but took no steps, and only today, after 11 weeks, was this program council convened. However, at the last moment, the liquidator canceled today's program council meeting, citing the resignation of one of the members nominated or designated by Civic Platform - he continued. - The cancellation of the program council meeting by the liquidator has no clear legal basis. Consequently, I assess this action as political delay aimed at hindering social control over the programming content of Polish Television, and I assess the liquidator's action in the first instance as a failure to fulfill, a neglect of, the duties that rested upon him by not convening this program council meeting for a long time - he further stated. - In the second instance, concerning the cancellation of today's meeting, I believe he exceeded his authority. I will appeal and ask Minister Wróblewska [...] for a formal-legal analysis of this situation and, potentially, for consequences to be drawn against the liquidator, perhaps for providing some guidance to the Supervisory Board of Polish Television - he added. - I would like to recall that the liquidator of Polish Television was nominated by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, a politician from Civic Platform. The coalition agreement provides for something that one of the editors called "clear water" in public broadcasting. We would like this television [...] to have impartial messaging and for accusations of extreme politicization of this television not to appear - he emphasized.

11:36

Bartmiński:

I Can Imagine the President Signing the Public Media Bill. These Are Not Government Media or Media of Any Ruling Coalition
- I can imagine the president signing a bill concerning public media; these are public media, not government media, and not the media of any ruling coalition - said Jacek Bartmiński, a member of the TVP Program Council and Polski 2050, at a press conference, when asked about the media bill and whether changes in public media are possible after Karol Nawrocki's victory. - I would like to remind you that the program council [...] includes individuals appointed by parties [...] as well as by NGOs and industry associations. So, this shows that the essence of this television is to be a certain consensus, not only for 10 million Poles but for all viewers - he continued.

11:48

Liquidation of TVP Info? Bartmiński: All options are on the table, leaders will decide. I do not think political revenge is appropriate.
- For now, the changes concerning public media that are or have been discussed have not gone beyond the initial preparation phase, so all options are on the table - said Jacek Bartmiński, a member of the TVP Programme Council and Polski 2050, at a press conference, when asked about Rafał Trzaskowski's words about the liquidation of TVP Info and whether the Polski 2050 environment also has such a plan. - I do not believe that any political revenge on one or another news channel is appropriate, but it will certainly be a decision of the political leaders - he continued.

11:58

Hołownia:

We All Understand the Great Responsibility That Has Fallen on Our Shoulders as Coalition Leaders
- We all understand today the historical moment, the very great responsibility for our country, for the stability of our country, which has fallen on our shoulders in recent days, not only on ours, but largely on ours as leaders of the ruling coalition, tasked with ensuring security, peace, and everything that Poles are waiting for today, which can be summarized in one word – hope – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference in the Sejm.

12:05

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

The Coalition is Doing Well. We've Found Common Ground
- The coalition is doing well, and we want to state that clearly. We have a plan and are ready for the next stage of our governance. We have also summarized our successes, and this will be an important element for the opening of the new political season, also showcasing what has been achieved - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference following a meeting of the ruling coalition leaders. - We also discussed shortcomings and everything that requires moving forward. [...] There was no dispute here; it was a discussion about what strategy to adopt, what dynamism, and what are the most important projects for our constituencies, and we found common ground - he continued. - The Prime Minister's address will combine the various sensibilities within the coalition with a full plan and strategy for the coming years to be good stewards and to take care of everyone. It also involves improving communication within the coalition and the information conveyed to our compatriots - he went on to say.

12:08

Hołownia:

An Important Process Has Begun. We're Drawing Conclusions and Have a Concrete Plan for Structuring the Coalition
- It's good that we had the opportunity for such meetings as took place just now. There will be more such meetings now […]. The Prime Minister and I have made several concrete decisions today regarding how our cooperation will look in the coming days, but also in weeks, months, and, I believe, years – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference in the Sejm. - These are organizational matters, structuring processes concerning programmatic issues, and government reconstruction. I feel that with this meeting, a very important process has begun today, which will convince the public, and above all, the voters, that not only are we drawing conclusions from what is happening around us, but at the same time, we have a very concrete plan for how to structure the coalition of October 15th for the next 2 years – he stated.

12:12

Czarzasty:

Coalition Agreement Holds. We Are Prepared for Government Reshuffle
- The coalition agreement is in effect and will remain in effect – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference following the coalition leaders' meeting. - Each of our four formations will now jointly present their projects for the future, projects that will happen, laws, this year, as well as in the perspective until the end of this term, in order to also ensure continuity of power for the next term – he continued. - The issue of government reconstruction within our ranks, among the four environments, does not raise controversy. We all agree [...] that it must happen. We must prepare for this reasonably; in fact, we are prepared. We need to unify our position. For this, we need a month, a month and a half in the near future [...] we know [...] that we will reach an agreement, because we have established the direction – he further stated.

12:14

Hołownia:

Prime Minister's Speech Text Will Be Consulted With Us
- We have agreed with the Prime Minister that the text of his speech [...] will be consulted with us, will be shared, and will contain programmatic content and commitments that are important to all of us - said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference after the coalition leaders' meeting.

12:18

Hołownia:

Government Spokesperson to Be Appointed
- A government spokesperson will be appointed, there will be a completely new center creating the government's information policy, the Prime Minister will probably also talk about this, we have agreed on a schedule [...] of regular meetings so that you won't have to keep asking whether we met a month, two, or three weeks ago - said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference after a meeting of coalition leaders.

- This small coalition, this coalition council, whatever we call it, will also be established, meaning a level of our collaborators who will meet every week to agree on the most important matters, which they will later present to us - he continued.

12:38

Hołownia:

We will appeal to our circles to detox from Twitter
- We are at the level of responsibility for the country, not at the level of some Twitter brawls. We want to state this clearly as well, because we said this clearly today at a meeting: we will appeal to our circles to detox from Twitter for at least the next few days, if not weeks. Because today we need to tell people what our plan is for getting things done that are important to them, not to kick or pinch each other's ankles - said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference in the Sejm.

12:43

Hołownia Proposed a Meeting with Nawrocki:

If He Wishes to Accept the Invitation, I Will Be Very Pleased.
- Regarding Karol Nawrocki, I have already put forward a proposal for a meeting, an invitation for the president-elect to meet with me here in the Sejm. If the president-elect wishes to accept this invitation, I will be very pleased, because we are not only discussing personnel matters, but also the continuity of power - Szymon Hołownia said at a press conference after a meeting of the ruling coalition leaders. - Vetoes [...] legislative initiatives, I would like to know at least the preliminary intentions of the president in this regard in comparison with the previous presidency - he continued. - I want to understand how, in this system where the president is first and I, constitutionally as the head of the Sejm, am second, we are to arrange our cooperation - he went on to say.

12:49

Hołownia:

I Won't Join the Government or Be Deputy Sejm Speaker. I'll Remain a Free Political Electron
- My position remains unchanged [...] no, I will not join the government, nor will I serve as Deputy Sejm Speaker. After the coalition agreement is implemented, I will remain a free political electron, a Member of Parliament of the Republic - said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference following a meeting of the ruling coalition leaders.

13:09

Poland 2050 Politicians Report on Meeting with the President Regarding Housing Price Transparency:

My Only Regret Is It's Not My Idea.
"Thank you very much to Andrzej Duda for the meeting and a good conversation. The President has declared that he will sign the act on the transparency of developer housing prices. Esteemed Developers, prepare yourselves to disclose prices! We will rigorously ensure that the act is implemented without any bypasses or evasions." - wrote Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on X. "My only regret is that it's not my idea" - the president reportedly said during the meeting with Poland 2050 politicians. These words were cited by Michał Gramatyka.

15:28

Glapiński:

We are not announcing any path for future interest rates today
- We are not announcing any path for future interest rates today. We are not committing to any decisions verbally, even in our forecasts for future decisions. We will continue to act as we always have to permanently reduce inflation in the medium term, so that it reaches the inflation target of 2.5% - stated Adam Glapiński at a press conference.

15:42

Glapiński on GDP Growth:

We Expect Faster Growth Than Last Year Throughout 2025.
Throughout 2025, we still expect faster GDP growth than in the previous year, which is very good news, but of course, it may increase demand pressure. From our perspective, it will be pro-inflationary – stated Adam Glapiński at a press conference. – According to the latest EC forecast, Poland's GDP growth this year will again be among the highest in the EU, reassessed by the OECD. This is good news, but from the perspective of our prices, price levels, inflation, it is pro-inflationary – he continued.

15:43

Glapiński:

MPC Decides to Maintain Interest Rates Unchanged
- In this situation, and taking into account the adjustment made in May, the Monetary Policy Council, after a lively discussion, decided that maintaining interest rates at an unchanged level is currently justified – said Adam Glapiński at a press conference.

16:33

Bosak Met with Nawrocki:

I Offered Support and Assured Readiness to Cooperate.
- Today, in the office of the President of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), I had the honor of personally congratulating the president-elect, Karol Nawrocki, on his election victory - Krzysztof Bosak wrote on social media. - Thank you for the warm reception and good conversation. I offered the new president my support and assured him of my readiness to cooperate for the good of Poland and Poles! - he added.

18:31

Morawiecki:

We Would Support Kosiniak-Kamysz for Prime Minister of a Technical Government
- We would support him [Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz] now as well [for prime minister], because in my opinion any government with a prime minister other than Donald Tusk would be significantly better. I don't know what the discussions within the current coalition look like, of course, I only see that it's fraying at the seams and that it will be very difficult for them to implement any sensible program - said Mateusz Morawiecki in the "Afternoon Conversation" on RMF FM. - If they have their coalition candidate [for prime minister], they will choose their coalition candidate. We proposed the concept of a technical government - he continued.

18:38

Morawiecki:

I liked Nawrocki's assertive stance towards Ukraine. We cannot let them walk all over us.
- I not only liked Karol Nawrocki's assertive stance towards Ukraine, but at the end of our government's term, actually not at the very end... April '23, the embargo imposed by Mateusz Morawiecki on grain from Ukraine, against the European Commission, - Mateusz Morawiecki said on RMF FM. - Then the European Commission signed off on it, but only until September '23, then Mateusz Morawiecki's government imposed an embargo again, - he continued. - Please ask President Karol Nawrocki, the president-elect. I believe that obviously Ukrainians, who are dying on the front lines, require support in the form of arms supplies, humanitarian support, but we cannot let Ukrainians walk all over us, and when I was prime minister, that was absolutely not the case, - he went on to say, when asked if he thought Karol Nawrocki's postulate of not signing off on accrediting Ukraine's entry into NATO was a good idea.

18:44

Morawiecki:

Nawrocki Will Be a Very Independent, Assertive President
- I believe that President Karol Nawrocki will be a very independent, assertive president, a president with a vision. I listened to him with great interest [...] Karol Nawrocki simply has a chance to be the president of absolutely all Poles - said Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM.

18:50

Morawiecki:

If talking about any alliances, then exclusively with the USA. Germany can send us at most 5,000 helmets.
- Our security is primarily our armed forces, secondly the Intermarium, but thirdly, if we are to talk about any alliances, then perhaps not with Germany, who can send us at most 5,000 helmets, but exclusively with the United States - said Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM. - I don't want to rely on the United States as our sole security guarantor, quite the contrary, I deliberately listed them third. But pushing the United States out of Poland, asking the United States to leave... - he continued. - Donald Tusk, through his irresponsible tweets, by insulting the President of the United States, calling him an agent, and by sending Klich there, who should not have stayed in Washington for even one more day - he went on to say, when asked who was pushing the USA out of Poland.

Nawrocki on Tusk's Interview:

The Final Week of the Campaign Laid Bare This Government's Plans in a Way.
- Certainly, especially after [Donald Tusk's] antics in the final week of the campaign, when he invoked a well-known public figure, a freak fighter, so I think that the final week also laid bare this government's plans in a certain sense. Poles did not want to live in a state where the monopoly of power decides whether we are even socially acceptable - stated president-elect Karol Nawrocki on wPolsce24.

"On Matters Good for Poles." Nawrocki on Potential Cooperation with Tusk, Who "Is Not Serving Poland Well"
On matters that are good for Poles, that Poles are waiting for, I am ready to do so, and as president, I will be ready to sit at the same table with the prime minister of the Polish government, whom I am very critical of, who in my opinion is not serving Poland well, both in terms of public finances and in undermining our aspirations and dreams, but there are certainly some things that Poles are waiting for – stated President-elect Karol Nawrocki in wPolsce24.

After the Campaign:

I'm Thinking About How to Restore Poland to a State Where People Trust Institutions." Nawrocki on the "Ruins
- The image of Poland after this election campaign is sad. Of course, we are joyful, those who elected me, […] but the image of Poland is sad because many state institutions were used for the election campaign and are now in ruins. Various organizations have reflected that foreign capital also influenced these elections - stated President-elect Karol Nawrocki on wPolsce24 television. - I am now thinking about how to restore Poland to a condition where people trust the institutions of the Polish state and where fear does not rule - he indicated.

Nawrocki Announces Presidential Press Spokesperson
- We still have to wait for the head of the Chancellery and that decision. But this is an opportunity to say that the press spokesperson for the future president will be Dr. Rafał Leśkiewicz, who will be my close collaborator at the IPN - stated President-elect Karol Nawrocki on wPolsce24.

"Maintaining Balance": Nawrocki on the Composition of the Presidential Chancellery
- The Chancellery will maintain a balance between experienced politicians on the one hand, and on the other, my close associates who are coming in entirely from outside the political world – stated President-elect Karol Nawrocki on wPolsce24.

Nawrocki:

"Christianly, I wish Trzaskowski good health." Warsaw Residents Await a Good Steward
- I think I should thank Rafał Trzaskowski for this rivalry, which was often unfair and dishonest due to his campaign staff or associates - stated president-elect Karol Nawrocki on wPolsce24 television. - I wish Rafał Trzaskowski good health. He now has a lot of time to focus on the matters of Warsaw. I believe Warsaw residents are waiting for a good steward. So, I wish him, in a Christian manner: good health - he stated.

Nawrocki:

If the coalition wants to survive, it should probably change its prime minister
Certainly, Donald Tusk is not a good prime minister, and I have said so. If the coalition wants to survive, it should probably change its prime minister, because they see that this project with Donald Tusk offers Poles hatred instead of real governance – stated President-elect Karol Nawrocki on wPolsce24.

Nawrocki:

Szefernaker to Lead My Office
- I am holding concrete discussions, on one hand with very experienced politicians whom I have had the opportunity to meet throughout my life and whom I highly value, or those who helped me during my election campaign and whom I deeply appreciate. On the other hand, with people [...] who have never been involved in politics but have always served the Polish state. This is how my office will be structured: a mix of experienced politicians and individuals from outside politics - Karol Nawrocki stated on TV Republika. - The best representation of this mix, this balance between politics and citizens, will be the composition of my office. Paweł Szefernaker will be its head, who has indeed proven himself over these 6 months as a politician of a new generation. [...] And his deputy will be Jarosław Dębowski, who was my director of the President's office at the Institute of National Remembrance. A person completely outside of political life, who simply possesses broad competencies and great organizational capabilities - he continued.

Nawrocki:

Poles Expect a Government That Works From Day One to the Last, Not One That Lingers on a Long Run-Up Until Nawrocki Wins the Election
- Did it really take 1.5 years for the government to get to work? I think Poles expect a government that works from the first day to the last, not one that waits on a long run-up to start working until Karol Nawrocki wins the presidential election - said Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika.

Nawrocki Announces His Presidential Actions:

I will submit this bill after August 6.
- As I said during the election campaign, I will submit a bill on the Breakthrough Technology Fund. We cannot afford to sleep through the moment of technological revolution in the world; there will also be a special department at the National Security Bureau dedicated to new technologies in the military, in armaments – stated Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika. - After August 6, I will submit the bill on the Breakthrough Technology Fund. This project is ready, and it will be a very important area for me as the future President of Poland – he added.

20:49

Nawrocki on a Technical Government:

A Formula That Would Bring Peace to Poland.
- We see that the state of social hatred, the Polish-Polish war, unfortunately fueled by the Prime Minister, is no longer just tiring for millions of Poles who would like care, concern, and a president and a prime minister, but also for coalition partners - Karol Nawrocki said on TV Republika. - Here, the formula I became acquainted with was the appointment of a technical government, a government above a certain political dispute; I heard that various circles spoke positively in this regard. I think this is a construction that would allow peace to be brought to Poland. Because that is what we truly need today: a lowering of emotions surrounding political disputes - he assessed.

20:54

Nawrocki:

I Encourage the Prime Minister to Discuss Matters Important to Poles, and It's Worth Abandoning Those They Don't Accept
Of course, Prime Minister Tusk's announcement that if the president doesn't cooperate, he will seek other methods is concerning. One doesn't speak like that – Karol Nawrocki said on TV Republika. - So far, the Prime Minister's plan for the president hasn't succeeded, so let him take a deep breath and think about how to cooperate with the President of Poland, who, by the will of the nation, will decide matters for Polish women and men. Let him not scare me or Poles by saying he will seek other solutions. I wasn't afraid of these threats during the election campaign, nor will I be afraid as president. So, I encourage discussion about matters important to Poles, and it's worth abandoning those that Poles haven't accepted – he continued.

21:02

Nawrocki:

Poland Will Not Be Subservient to Any Other State's Line Under Financial Blackmail
- When I hear about financial blackmail from one of the MEPs [Moritz Körner from Germany], I think he needs to brush up on some topics in international relations. Poland is not a country that will be subservient to the line of any other state due to financial blackmail - said Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika. - We are neighbours, we want to build partnerly relations, and as far as I know, this is the same EU which, in the area of the rule of law, did not speak up even once during a 6-month, often unequal and at times unlawful, election campaign - he added.

21:15

Nawrocki on Tusk:

Worst Prime Minister of Poland Since 1989.
- I naturally expect cooperation on fundamental matters. We cannot give in to emotions, despite my very critical assessment of Donald Tusk, which is no surprise to anyone, and my acknowledgment that he is undoubtedly the worst Prime Minister of Poland since '89. It would be petty to let these emotions spill over into whether Poles will be safe or whether Poland will develop. I am ready for talks with anyone – stated Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika.

21:18

Nawrocki Announces Visits to Counties Missed During Campaign
- I will definitely visit those counties that I did not manage to visit [during the election campaign]. I visited 330 counties in Poland, I have a few dozen left, so expect me as the President of Poland. I want to accomplish this task. […] If I didn't reach you, it was only because I participated in eight debates and had several foreign trips - said Karol Nawrocki on TV Republika.
