In Warsaw, President Andrzej Duda and his spouse Agata Kornhauser-Duda will participate in the celebrations of the National Day of May 3rd – at 9:30 AM a Holy Mass, at 11:00 AM – a ceremony for awarding state decorations, and at 12:00 PM – a ceremony at Castle Square. Prime Minister Donald Tusk will also attend the latter.

Karol Nawrocki is expected to continue his visit to the USA – but his office has not published a schedule of meetings. Rafał Trzaskowski has no meetings planned for today.

In a new clip, Karol Nawrocki’s campaign juxtaposes statements from „Szkło kontaktowe” (Contact Window) and Rafał Trzaskowski with photos of the candidate with important politicians from Donald Trump’s administration, including the US President himself. “They manipulate, lie, and will continue to lie, while we do our job. – In 1791, Poles tried to save their own state and enacted the Constitution of May 3rd. Unfortunately, it was already too late. Years of disputes, quarrels, and egoism led to the destruction of Poland from within. Today, history could repeat itself. If we don't learn from it, we'll wake up too late again. – I would like it always, I have adopted this principle in all my actions, that when we meet with representatives of our allies, especially then we always speak well of our country, we resolve Polish matters in Poland – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a conversation with journalists.

– I am happy about every good meeting that will serve Poland, if Poland is spoken of well there. I hope it was so, and as for the elections, I think Poles make decisions through the prism of their ability, skill in managing the state, as well as the possibility of building community and caring for the interests of all, not just their political circle – he continued.

– Today, security is absolutely the most important issue, and we may differ; elections are ahead of us soon, and we will likely approach them in different ways, but there must always be one common denominator, regardless of our decisions and our choices, that takes precedence. This is security, the building of a strong army, the strength of society, and strong alliances – these are the pillars of our security – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a conversation with journalists.

– Love for the homeland begins in the family, and without a family, there is no love for the homeland, but the state also has a certain role. Therefore, we are turning to the head of the parliamentary committee on education, MP Szumilas, with a request to expedite the work on the law on patriotic upbringing – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a conversation with journalists.

– The law on patriotic upbringing is about building Polish formations, in fact, in every Polish school, we desperately need this – he added.

– Martial law was a dark period in the recent history of the Republic and the second half of the 20th century in our country and for us Poles. It was a time of enslavement, a time of taking away hope, or at least an attempt to take it away for a while – stated President Andrzej Duda at the state decoration ceremony.

– This is a day of Polish pride. Always. Great pride in our historical achievements, great pride in our wonderful state, great pride in our wonderful statehood, spanning over 1000 years. – We have always emphasized that times were different, Poland later disappeared from the map, our freedom was taken away, our independence was taken away, our sovereignty was taken away, but in a mental and cultural sense, we were always part of the West, because Western Christianity, adopted from Rome and transmitted through Prague, integrated us – stated President Andrzej Duda during the celebrations of the May 3rd holiday.

– Following the Union of Warsaw, we can clearly and proudly say that we are a state where religious tolerance dates back over half a millennium. It is therefore extremely well-established, and this too is a reason for our pride. Thus, we are a thoroughly modern nation on the European and global stage, looking not only at today's reality, at the present, but also through the prism of our history and thought – stated President Andrzej Duda during the May 3rd celebrations.

– Soon we will be choosing again, again choosing the head of the Polish state. It will be very soon, literally in a moment. The campaign is underway right now, the political debate is underway right now, candidates are presenting themselves, their view of Poland, their vision. We will be choosing, and I too will be choosing like any ordinary citizen. Like all those here who are sitting around me. Regardless also of those who are also sitting here, and will be choosing – stated President Andrzej Duda during the May 3rd celebrations.

– But I want to emphasize one thing, the most important thing is that we can choose reliably. That these elections proceed honestly, that their result is an objective and true result, that they are carried out well and reliably. And that they can be calmly recognized – PAD continued.

– And here is my appeal to all my countrymen. There is no need to tell anyone what times we are living in here and now. There is no need to tell anyone among you what is happening around us, also in the broad political sense beyond the borders of the Republic of Poland. That Russian aggression against Ukraine is ongoing, that Russian imperialism has been reborn and that it is not safe, because today we must be aware that our neighbors have been attacked and are fighting for their freedom – stated President Andrzej Duda during the May 3rd celebrations.

– Therefore, for Poland to emerge strong from the presidential elections is fundamentally important today. Strong with a newly elected president, with the mandate of a newly elected president. For this mandate to be strong, you, as voters, must go to these elections. And I ask you to do this as the President of the Republic of Poland, who still wishes to calmly hand over this presidential office to my successor, chosen by my countrymen – he continued.

– At that time, they immediately engaged in a fight against this constitution [May 3rd], against this great reform. Those who considered themselves the elite then, oligarchs, let's say it directly: traitors of Poland. Renegades, who in reality served only their own interests and who defended only their own privileges, today we would simply call them a lying elite, they are the ones who ran to foreign courts, calling for help, shouting about the defense of democracy, of noble democracy, and in reality, they went to the most brutal satraps – said Andrzej Duda during a ceremony on the occasion of the May 3rd holiday.

– I regret that among the current parliamentary majority, I do not see particular commitment or spirit towards undertaking a discussion on this matter [the proposed constitutional change concerning defense spending]. It's a pity, and I hope the next President of the Republic of Poland will pursue it with full responsibility – stated President Andrzej Duda during the May 3rd celebrations.

– You know why you should read the constitution as it is written? Because you, my fellow citizens, agreed to this constitution in a referendum by reading it as it is written, because for the most part, you are not experts in legal interpretation. You are not experts in legal reasoning, and it is a great systemic deception to extract from the content of the constitution that which was never written in it – stated Andrzej Duda at the ceremony marking the May 3rd holiday.

– This is my appeal to the Minister of National Defence. Mr. Minister, I ask that the Borsuk [Badger] be strongly supported and that it truly becomes not only a symbol of the Polish element, of the Polish army, serving the security and combat readiness of the Polish soldier, but also our export hit. It must be strongly supported in this, Polish industry must be supported, please implement this with all your might – stated President Andrzej Duda during the May 3rd celebrations.

– From my perspective as the President of the Republic of Poland, here and now, Polish-Atlantic relations are primarily of immense importance, specifically Polish-American relations, and that is why I am serving my fourth presidential term in the United States at this moment – said Andrzej Duda during a ceremony celebrating the May 3rd holiday.

– It is in our interest for it [the alliance with the USA] to last and for the world's largest nuclear power to consider us its ally, a zone of its friendship, as well as economic interests. Therefore, I encourage American investors and sought the presence of the US Secretary of Energy during the recent meeting of the presidents and leaders of the Three Seas Initiative countries a few days ago in Warsaw – stated President Andrzej Duda during the May 3rd celebrations.

– On this day, May 3rd, I ask you and appeal to you to watch over Poland, as much as you can, including by participating in upcoming democratic elections, and by ensuring they are democratic, that the best candidates are chosen, and that these individuals best implement Polish affairs, understood as a reasonable concern for the common good. I ask this of you, my compatriots, with all my heart, thanking everyone without exception for these 10 years – stated Andrzej Duda during the ceremony marking the May 3rd holiday.
