At 10:00 AM in the Sejm, a meeting will commence with Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia, dedicated to the work on a bill banning the use of smartphones in primary schools.

At 10:30 AM in the Sejm, Krzysztof Bosak will hold a press conference.

At 11:30 AM in front of Hala Mirowska in Warsaw, a press conference is planned with the head of the PiS parliamentary caucus, Mariusz Błaszczak, and MPs Andrzej Śliwka and Zbigniew Kuźmiuk.

At 1:00 PM, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will participate in an Easter meeting with soldiers and military personnel at the 1st Air Transport Base. The head of the Ministry of National Defence is scheduled to give a speech.

At 2:00 PM in Strasbourg, a meeting is scheduled for President Andrzej Duda and his wife with soldiers and military personnel serving at the Eurocorps Headquarters. State decorations are planned to be presented. The President's speeches are also part of the schedule.

On Wednesday, Sławomir Mentzen will visit Złotów, Sępólno Krajeńskie, Nakło nad Notecią, and Bydgoszcz. Adrian Zandberg will be in Ełk, Kętrzyn, Lidzbark Warmiński, and Elbląg on the same day.

Meanwhile, Radosław Sikorski will be in Cairo on Wednesday. During his trip, the head of Polish diplomacy is expected to meet, among others, with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatti. The purpose of the Minister of Foreign Affairs' visit to Egypt is to discuss key issues concerning bilateral relations, including Polish-Egyptian political and economic cooperation, as well as the current situation in the Middle East and Africa region.

During the meetings Radosław Sikorski will hold, topics related to security and cooperation in combating illegal migration will also be addressed, as well as issues concerning the Polish presidency of the Council of the European Union and the EU-Egypt strategic partnership.

– In my opinion, what this debate showed was, first and foremost, a lack of transparency, to put it mildly, in the actions of Trzaskowski’s campaign staff. I don’t believe they actually paid for all the services from TVP. I would very much like to see the invoices. Lack of transparency, political exploitation of TVP, and the fear of PO. The Platform got scared of their own setup, which they had arranged, and at the last moment changed the format of what they were organizing – stated Krzysztof Bosak in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.

– This rather showed that Sławomir Mentzen simply values himself. If he has arranged meetings with voters and values his voters, if he has arranged meetings with voters in four cities in Podkarpacie, he will not cancel them to go and stand at the gate and see if they let him in or not. Let’s take ourselves seriously – he continued.

– I think Konfederacja is in a completely different situation. We are a much stronger political party than 5 years ago. It is also, of course, very possible that Sławomir Mentzen has advantages that voters see, which I did not have 5 years ago – stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

– In my opinion, reducing Orban to pro-Russianism is a misunderstanding. I claim it is debatable. I believe that in some matters, he does not want to take an anti-Russian stance, unlike Poland. However, that is something else entirely – stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

– This is not a campaign issue, […] however, I am in favor of mandatory [military conscription], because it is the duty of every citizen of a state. However, not two years, because that was a waste of time, but 3 to 6 months, absolutely – said Marek Jakubiak in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

– Women too, but I am not a supporter of mixed units here. It always ends the same way with collisions. As we know, we have two genders […], these units must be male and female. However, no matter what you say, ladies should have different tasks set in the army than men – he stated.

– I have a different offer. My offer is that I don't have to run an election campaign, because I've been running one for 65 years, and I think that when it comes to the office of the President of the Republic of Poland, this is precisely my advantage – that I am older than him [Karol Nawrocki] – said Marek Jakubiak in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

– I am of the opinion that the president should be a person who will be stable in crisis situations. I'm talking about the fact that at a certain age, people don't change their views, they already have established views, and it is known what my views are on various matters – he continued.

– The view of Ukraine is changing along with Polish-Ukrainian relations, which are evolving in an improbable way and, in my assessment, are heading in the wrong direction – said Marek Jakubiak in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

– Along with the hardworking Ukrainians, […] our brothers and sisters, because there's no hiding it, we are similar to each other, come also negative things, which we managed to deal with in the 90s. […] I think to myself that Ukraine has brought problems with it. Quite recently I spoke with Warsaw police officers, and they claim that out of 20 stops for identification checks, 12-14 are Ukrainians and Georgians – he continued.

– This is not my problem. This is a problem for 40-year-olds, 30-year-olds. Let them curse me, let them summon me. […] This problem is yours, I leave it in your hands. However, in a situation where we don't have generational renewal, my children will support me as a pensioner. Not me, that's not true. I supported my parents and I paid contributions for them, because the cash flow of ZUS [Social Insurance Institution] looks like this: today's contributions support pensioners – said Marek Jakubiak in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

– If you don't have children, then my children will support those who don't have children. […] ZUS contributions, in my opinion, should be higher for those who don't have children. I'm not talking about those who cannot have children – he stated.

– I will always support and warmly endorse any plans aimed at realizing ambitious economic plans [...]. The very slogan of repolonizing the Polish economy and this project was included in our program, Law and Justice, when we were still in opposition – said Beata Szydło in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on the Radio Plus program “Sedno Sprawy” (The Core of the Matter), when asked if PiS would help Prime Minister Tusk in the repolonization of the economy.

– If these words are the beginning of actions and indeed this is sincere and the current Polish government will pursue such a policy, then I can only say that it is the best possible direction and we will support it. Only [...] I do not trust Donald Tusk, I do not believe his assurances, he is capable of saying anything during an election campaign – she continued.

„I haven’t encountered critical voices regarding Karol Nawrocki. Many of the people I had the opportunity to meet have already attended meetings with Karol Nawrocki, they very eagerly take the candidate’s materials and inquire about the possibility of meeting him when he visits a particular town, if he hasn’t been there yet,” said Beata Szydło on Radio Plus.

– I've been in a partnership for 23 years and I don't need this – Marek Jakubiak stated in the RMF FM 'Morning Interview'.

– But maybe someone needs it – countered Tomasz Terlikowski.

– I don't understand why a law for someone. I don't feel a legal need, there is simply no such need – the politician replied.

– Aren’t you afraid that if this campaign lasts another month, and that’s how much time is left until the elections, there won’t be anything left of the coalition to pick up? – Bogdan Rymanowski asked on “Gość Radia ZET”.

– I don’t think so. As the coalition of October 15th, we are fully aware. Incidentally, there was a government meeting yesterday, and the Prime Minister also addressed this. He said to remember that we are a coalition, the coalition endures, damn it, and not to get carried away among the 3 coalition candidates, to argue so much that it will be difficult to do certain things together later – Marcin Kulasek replied.

– So, was that the Prime Minister’s message at the government meeting: “come to your senses, don’t fight”? – the host pressed.

– No, absolutely not in that context. In the context of not getting carried away. The campaign has its own laws, of course, absolutely, […] there are three candidates from the governing coalition camp, but in the end, as we all know, probably a second round, and then we need to vote for a common, democratic candidate – the Minister of Science continued.

– He promised [Andrzej Domański] that the money would be found and that the gap [after changes to the health contribution] would be filled. Otherwise, if this does not happen, we will have problems with the functioning of hospitals, or in the end, there may be attempts to privatize those hospitals that are in a worse financial situation. And the Left will certainly not allow this – said Marcin Kulasek in “Gość Radia ZET”.

– I see [such a danger of hospital privatization], because if there is not enough money, then those that are not balancing their books will have to be dealt with somehow. If there were no funds, then such a risk exists. However, there is an assurance from the Minister of Finance that the money will be found – he continued.

– We are facing the most expensive Easter holidays in the history of the Third Republic. It is expensive in Poland, more expensive, and unfortunately, it will be even more expensive, and the propaganda of Donald Tusk's government will not be able to refute this narrative, despite the efforts of more academics, professors, and experts who claim on state television or parts of commercial television that Poland is on the path to prosperity and development, because Poles are a wise nation and can verify Donald Tusk's ongoing lies and the success propaganda of Donald Tusk's government – stated Karol Nawrocki in Radzymin.

– Yes, academics. Experts, professors hired to distort and misinform about the real picture and situation of the Polish state will not win against the wisdom of the Polish nation, which sees every day that prices in Poland are rising – he continued.

– In the last year alone, cheese prices have increased by 34%, egg prices by 43%, bread prices by 32%, tomato prices by 39%, and butter prices have also risen by 57% and oil by 35%. These are, of course, statistics, but in the 260 counties where I met with Polish women and men, everyone talks about the prevailing high prices in Poland – he emphasized.

– I am calling once again on the parliamentary majority, I am calling on Donald Tusk, and also on Marshal Szymon Hołownia, to adopt my proposal for introducing 0% VAT on food products. This is what Poles expect today; this is what I heard during my conversations at the market in Radzymin. This is not about the presidential elections at this moment and with this proposal. Yes, when I become President of Poland, I will return to this postulate and demand from any government I find in place the introduction of 0% VAT on food – stated Karol Nawrocki in Radzymin.

– I stand before you and before televisions, here at this marketplace, to warn all of you that Donald Tusk, Rafał Trzaskowski, and Szymon Hołownia, who, although he did not confirm this in the presidential debate, are all staunch supporters of introducing the euro in Poland. They are Euro-optimists ready to centralize the EU and ready for Poland to become a state inhabited by citizens of Polish origin within a decade. I say clearly: no to the euro in Poland – stated Karol Nawrocki in Radzymin.

– Rafał Trzaskowski is certainly having difficult moments after the debate. He organized the debate on his own terms, without informing his campaign team, without inviting other television stations that do not share his agenda, he created laboratory conditions for himself to discuss, and this discussion did not go in the direction he expected – stated Karol Nawrocki in Radzymin.

– What can I wish him, especially as Easter holidays are approaching. I wish Rafał Trzaskowski good health, may he recover. Indeed, that debate was a catastrophe for Rafał Trzaskowski, without a doubt. It completely got out of control – he continued.

– The employees of the institute [IPN] today, it must be said clearly, are being repressed because the President of the IPN, which is me, is a candidate for the office of president. These are not normal conditions, and this is not normal NIK activity – stated Karol Nawrocki in Radzymin.

– There is also a fundamental issue concerning the German state. Donald Tusk should today demand from Olaf Scholz that Germany pay reparations to Poland – stated Karol Nawrocki in Radzymin.

– This is nothing new; such things are happening in the world. In Luxembourg, a regulation is currently being introduced banning smartphones in schools for children up to 11 years old, effective from Easter. There are countries like France, which banned them entirely in 2018. In Austria, there is a complete ban from May 1. In Latvia, a ban until the 6th grade starts on May 31 – said Szymon Hołownia in the Sejm, during a meeting dedicated to the work on a bill prohibiting the use of smartphones in primary schools.

“We need to act sharply and decisively here”
– I believe we need to act sharply and decisively here. […] In my opinion, counting on “maybe parents,” or “maybe the school” – we are not at that stage. […] For some reasons, we banned alcohol in schools, drugs, and the possibility of bringing knives to school. Today, from what we see, feel, and know, a smartphone can be a fantastic tool for expanding knowledge about the world […], but it can also be a deadly dangerous tool, especially for someone whose understanding of human relationships is still developing […] – he pointed out.

“I will not be satisfied if only my party signs this bill”
– Regardless of how these [presidential] elections turn out, I do not intend to give up on this issue, and this bill will be submitted… regardless of whether I submit it or propose it as the Marshal of the Sejm, a presidential candidate, the president, or simply Szymon Hołownia – declared the Third Way candidate for president.

As he emphasized: – I care about it being developed with experts from the very beginning, through the broadest possible political dialogue […]. I will expect signatures from everyone in the Sejm under this bill. I will not be satisfied if only my party signs it.

– Even if my political party has enough signatures to submit this bill, it will not be submitted. It will be submitted only when it becomes clear that we have the space to discuss it in the Sejm in a way that brings us closer to some agreement in this area – he stressed.

– We wanted to talk about the high prices, about the most expensive holidays in the history of the Third Polish Republic. These high prices are the result of the poor governance of the December 13th coalition, the result of Donald Tusk's poor governance, whose deputy is Rafał Trzaskowski. Warsaw residents, coming here [to Hala Mirowska in Warsaw] for shopping, are wondering what to remove from their shopping lists – Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference.

– During the Law and Justice government, we employed methods available to the government to lower prices, for example, we reduced the VAT tax to 0% on food, we also reduced the tax on electricity and gas. Moreover, these same projects were submitted by the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club in agreement with Dr. Karol Nawrocki, to lower VAT […] the governing majority, the December 13th coalition, rejected these projects – he continued.

– Yesterday Donald Tusk surprised us […] he changed his stance, just as he changes it on other matters, but he said that capital has a nationality. Previously, he said that capital has no nationality. And he declared himself in favor of the repolonization of enterprises – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– My response is this: let his deputy, Rafał Trzaskowski, the Mayor of Warsaw, start the repolonization with companies that should be under his purview, because electricity is supplied to the homes of Warsaw residents by a German company, and heat by a French company. Therefore, if we are serious about repolonization, we should start by repolonizing the companies supplying energy and heat to the homes of Warsaw residents – he continued.

– I do not hide the fact that the Ministry of Education is taking a much more conservative stance here than I am. I am taking a position that could be called hawkish; they are more dovish. They talk about school autonomy, that the current model works, that we need to expand prevention, that we need to talk to parents – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– I say, if the model we have were working, and in 60% of Polish schools we already have some smartphone policies related to bans on smartphone use, then we wouldn't have such dramatic indicators of children's exposure to online sexual violence, which was discussed today – he added.

– Bad people, and there are plenty of them in this world, have been trying for two months to drive a wedge between me and the PSL, claiming that the PSL is not engaging in my campaign. I refute these liars and those who are the authors of such slanders. The People's Movement and its 128-year tradition stand firmly behind me in these elections – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– Today, banks must understand that not only the result in Excel is their mission or the goal of the mission that the state expects from them; the goal is social cohesion. If we grant banks a license to operate in our market, we have the right to expect social cohesion and action for the Polish economy in return. Therefore, I will be having very firm discussions here, both with President Glapiński and with the banking sector, because we currently have the most expensive mortgage loans in Europe – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– This coalition is already well-tested in various battles. It has endured three campaigns and will endure a fourth. There is no alternative for this coalition in this Sejm, because one would have to govern either with Mentzen and what Mentzen proposes, which is simply total madness, combined with danger for Poland. That is how one can summarize what he is rambling on about in his spiel – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– The fact that the Prime Minister, with his characteristic fatherly concern, is warning us humble ones not to overexert ourselves is absolutely accurate. We cannot get carried away, but on the other hand, this is a campaign – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– I consider it right to go to your television, because I consider your television to be a television that is obviously and openly favorable to PiS, politically involved, certainly not objective. However, just as I went to an opposition television, I also went to government television. I believe your viewers deserve respect, regardless of how you do your job – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– As for the debates themselves, their organization, I can't fault you for anything. There was no partisanship, and all arrangements were fulfilled – he added.

– Poland is an ironclad ally, Poland fulfills its commitments. Poland is always ready to act for the security of the world, for the security of our alliance. I want to confirm this in this solemn moment, but this confirmation is always important, that we will fulfill all commitments arising from the North Atlantic Treaty. We are an ironclad and good ally and we expect solidarity from all our allies. Being in an alliance in NATO means being together through thick and thin – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

– Our thoughts are particularly with the soldiers and officers at the Polish-Belarusian border, because the attack on Polish security continues there. Branches flying towards our uniformed personnel, lead pellets and stones, insults and abusive slogans – unfortunately, this is a daily attack on the security of the Polish state – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

– Esteemed gentlemen generals, esteemed ladies and gentlemen officers, you are fulfilling an extremely important task here today, together with our allies. You are preparing to best accomplish all those tasks that we, as European nations, and you, as representatives of the European army, can carry out – said President Andrzej Duda during a ceremonial roll call in Strasbourg.

– You know how many discussions there have been about whether we should create any European military structures. How many times have we spoken about not creating an alternative to the North Atlantic Alliance, and that it's not about building competition between NATO and the European Union in terms of security, in a military sense, but precisely about creating a synergy effect. To strengthen us – he continued.

– This is precisely what is happening through the service carried out here within the framework of Eurocorps. Today, the role of Eurocorps may become even more important, as the United States demands that Europe, in terms of its own security, be more active, that Europe gather its forces, that it strive to the greatest extent possible to independently respond to challenges that arise [...] on the European theater – he went on to say.

– The greatest threat today is Russian aggression against Ukraine. All of us, both within the North Atlantic Alliance and within the European Union, have supported Ukraine fighting Russian aggression in various ways from the very beginning – he added.

– We must remain strong and deter Russia and Putin. We have done our job in Poland, we have invested a lot in our defense capabilities within NATO. We are spending 5% of our GDP on this. We also buy equipment from Americans. We are securing our border. And that is what we must do – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in an interview with Fox Business.

– We must do one more thing, because President Donald Trump is absolutely right that Europeans should take responsibility and spend more money on defense. We should convince other countries to do this, and that is exactly what Poland is doing – he said.

As the Mayor of Warsaw noted, if he were elected president, he would aim to convince countries like Spain, Italy, or the Netherlands to allocate at least 3% of their GDP to defense.

– We must strengthen our European capabilities within NATO to effectively deter Russia and others who wish to threaten us – stated the Civic Coalition candidate.

– Europe and America must stick very close together, because only when we are together can we truly stop all countries that want to attack us – Trzaskowski continued.

– Therefore, we must hear what President Trump says. We must convince other Europeans to take security seriously, to also take on their share of the burden and strengthen the North Atlantic Alliance as much as possible, because every crazy dictator in the world is watching what is happening now. And if we are strong, we will be much safer – he added.

– Who couldn't answer this question [whether Poland would help the Baltic states if Russia attacked] quickly enough recently? One of the presidential candidates, Mr. Nawrocki. He was asked about this on RMF a few weeks ago, and he wasn't able to quickly answer whether he would fulfill the obligation towards allied countries. I believe that a municipal councillor candidate should quickly answer this question – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News’s “Gość Wydarzeń.”

– If we want the protection of our borders, help for Poland in a difficult moment, if we want an allied reaction, then how can we today question whether we would provide someone with support? The entire idea of the North Atlantic Pact collapses then – he stated.

– Who will you be after the presidential elections? – Krzysztof Stanowski asked on the Zero channel.

– The President of the Polish state, there is no second scenario. This battle for the presidency is important, I think, for Poland. I would not want Poland to look the way it looks today, for the system to be fully established, so there is absolutely no second scenario, I will be the President of the Polish state – stated Karol Nawrocki on the Zero channel.

– I am very independent in my actions, including during the election campaign. My campaign manager could say more about that. Yes, he helps, but he also gets angry. As I say, this was part of my daily life. Why shouldn't I show it if I'm running for president? – stated Karol Nawrocki on Kanał Zero.

– By virtue of the NATO summit's resolutions, Jasionka has been elevated to an even higher level. Not just one member state of the Alliance – as important as the United States is – or two states – Poland and the United States, and those who declared readiness for a certain period – but the entire NATO is taking responsibility for Jasionka – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

– This is a resolution from the NATO summit of July 2024. It has been successively implemented. A new command has been established, headed by whom? An American general. The deputies are Polish, British, and Romanian generals – he indicated.

– In reality, we have more allied troops there today than before this decision. German soldiers with Patriots have arrived, as have Norwegian soldiers. There are declarations from other nationalities. I want [American soldiers] to be in Poland. However, the fact that NATO is taking responsibility for Jasionka is better for Poland, rather than just Poland and the USA. Poland, the USA, and other countries are in NATO – he emphasized.

– I still don't know, because I have conflicting information on this matter, who organized this debate, and what was the involvement of public television in this debate – said Szymon Hołownia in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (Dot Over the i).

– I don't know what happened. The prosecutor's office should investigate this […] I believe that the prosecutor's office and the National Electoral Commission should investigate this, primarily the National Electoral Commission, because it concerns the financing of elections. I assume there is nothing worrying there, but for peace of mind, I believe such an investigation should take place – he continued, when asked if he agreed with those filing reports to the prosecutor's office regarding the debate.

– Public television cannot participate in staged events for selected candidates, where one candidate from the ruling party decides: I want to debate with this person now, not with someone else – he went on to say.

– And why should I be nice? After all, I'm running against him in the same election, I'm running against him – Szymon Hołownia said on TVN24, responding to Monika Olejnik's comment that he was harsh towards Rafał Trzaskowski during the debate.

– I am running against Donald Tusk's candidate, against Jarosław Kaczyński's candidate, against the candidate of chaos. These are presidential elections, please don't expect a candidate to sit on another candidate's lap – he continued.

– I have invited all voters of Rafał Trzaskowski, those who are disappointed, those who, in a very vocal manner, like Tomasz Lis and Magdalena Filiks, accuse me of being a traitor, and thousands of other things, to a meeting, for a calm conversation on Wednesday after the holidays, at 7 PM in the Czytelnik café in Warsaw on Wiejska Street, a specially dedicated meeting for them – said Szymon Hołownia on TVN24.

– I will gladly explain to them […] why it was worth going to the debate on Republika television – he continued.

– I invite all voters of Rafał and Tomasz Lis – he added.

– I know 'Big Bu' before he stated it, I said I knew 'Big Bu' because I boxed with him. I didn’t understand why these COVID restrictions looked the way they did. – Yes, sick children are part of our society, and the Polish state and the entire state apparatus exist to help sick children in life, in illness, with certain dysfunctions, and with disabilities. It is also a shock to me that this type of situation occurred. This should never have happened, of course. Society is made up of healthy people, but also of sick people, to whom we must offer help. It should be a fundamental principle that if someone is sick, has a dysfunction, and we are ready to murder them, then unfortunately we are approaching times we wish to forget – he continued.
