Today, Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính arrives in Poland for a visit. The guest's welcome by Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM) is scheduled for 11:30 AM. A meeting between the two prime ministers will take place at 11:45 AM, followed by a delegation meeting at 11:55 AM. Joint press statements from Prime Minister Tusk and Prime Minister Minh Chính are scheduled for 12:15 PM.

The first stop on the campaign trail of Rafał Trzaskowski, Civic Platform's (KO) presidential candidate, will be the Podlaskie Voivodeship. The press conference marking the start of his campaign was inaugurated in Warsaw at 6:30 AM.

At 9:15 AM, the candidate will visit a Polish retail chain, Chorten, in Łomża, after which a press conference is planned. At 10:30 AM in Zambrów, he will participate in a signature-gathering event for his support list. A visit to Mlekovita in Wysokie Mazowieckie is scheduled for 11:30 AM. At 3:00 PM, Trzaskowski will attend a meeting with local government officials in Bielsk Podlaski. The final item on the agenda is a meeting with the owner and employees of the PRONAR company in Narew, at 4:30 PM.

Meanwhile, at 1:00 PM in the Sejm (Polish Parliament), a meeting organized by the Law and Justice (PiS) parliamentary club with the diplomatic corps will take place. During the conference with ambassadors, Karol Nawrocki, the party's endorsed presidential candidate, will deliver a speech on transatlantic relations. Additionally, at 6:00 PM, the candidate will meet with residents of Ostrów Mazowiecka.

Szymon Hołownia also announced the start of his campaign and his intention to "set off across Poland" in an interview with Monika Olejnik yesterday.

At 11:00 AM, the Sejm's Justice and Human Rights Committee will convene to consider the draft of an "incidental bill" concerning the presidential elections, submitted by Poland 2050. The bill proposes that cases concerning electoral protests and the validation of elections should be adjudicated by three combined chambers of the Supreme Court: the Criminal, Civil, and Labor chambers, rather than the Chamber of Extraordinary Review and Public Affairs of the Supreme Court.

At 11:00 AM, a press conference will be held by General Jarosław Stróżyk, chairman of the Committee for the Investigation of Russian and Belarusian Influence, concerning notifications to the prosecution, including those related to the former head of the Internal Security Agency (ABW), Piotr Pogonowski.

– These [elections] are starting in earnest today. The next month lies ahead of us, 16 voivodeships, over 10,000 km, over 150 locations where we will be, because these elections are truly the most important in many, many years. They are the culmination of a series of elections we've observed since 2023. We all need a president who is active, takes matters into their own hands, and most importantly, a president who is independent. ‘All of Poland Forward’ is the slogan of our campaign – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference in Warsaw.

– 
We all know that this campaign will be incredibly intense, that it will last practically every day, that every hour will be important. We all know how high the stakes are, because this is, in a sense, one might say, the overtime of the 2023 elections, their culmination. Because if we want to have a truly democratic Poland, to be safe, to talk about what is most important right now, and we know that all Polish women and all Polish men are focused on issues related to the economy, on leveling inequalities, then we must have an active and independent president – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference in Warsaw.

– First and foremost, I would want no one in Poland to engage in a campaign on Putin's side, and let's be honest and direct about it. Anyone who currently says that Ukraine should not be in NATO is actually aiding Putin, because it is Putin who is trying to convince everyone in Europe that Ukraine should not be in NATO or the EU, and this would pose a threat primarily to Poles – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference in Warsaw.

– Each minister and deputy minister is appointed and dismissed by the prime minister, so these are his decisions. If you're asking me, I have a very high rating for the work of Czesław Mroczek, my deputy – stated Tomasz Siemoniak on "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

– The thesis that has been put forward, Russian gas in Warsaw's buses, is completely untrue. There is no Russian gas in Warsaw's buses, nor in any other buses. One of the premises for the decisions made by Minister Mroczek was also the fact that the embargo on LPG gas was finalized in December – stated Tomasz Siemoniak on "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

– Companies were also removed from the sanctions list during PiS's time in office. Russian owners, facing sanctions and embargoes, also sold them for small amounts. I think the attack that has emerged is completely unjustified – stated Tomasz Siemoniak on PR1's 'Sygnały dnia' (Signals of the Day).

– I think that the explanations we have presented to the public are absolutely sufficient, and it's clear who plays what role here, and truly, I believe that simple facts, simple dates speak for themselves – stated Tomasz Siemoniak on “Sygnały dnia” (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

– Let Ukraine's President focus on Ukraine's affairs, and we will choose our own president. He has the right – and even the duty – to advocate for his country's interests, but it is we who decide here who is a candidate and who holds what views on the most fundamental matters – said Mateusz Morawiecki in a conversation with Krzysztof Skowroński on Radio Wnet's Morning show.

– Ukraine’s defense is that eastern flank on which Polish security also depends, and unfortunately, we cannot change that. This remains a fact. However, meeting with Trzaskowski and such remarks about the civic candidate Karol Nawrocki were, to put it mildly, inappropriate – said Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Wnet’s morning program.

– I think President Zelenskyy was not best prepared for this visit and he bet on one candidate. He made a big mistake – he assessed.

– There will be a law on the student rights advocate, and ultimately, I would like such a person, who will support students in their rights and obligations, to be present in every school – stated Barbara Nowacka in the RMF FM "Morning Interview," when asked about a student rights advocate in every school.

– It is ready at the departmental development level, and is currently undergoing internal ministry work. I think it will leave the ministry within a month, so that by September 1st, every regional education superintendent's office will have an inspector who will have the authority to stand up for student rights, and on the other hand, will have supervisory powers – she continued.

– The solutions with municipal student rights advocates… are great, but these advocates did not have… inspection powers, and there are often complaints that require intervention – she added.

– I fear that unfortunately, we as Poland will be hit by the ricochet because – let’s not mince words – the current Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister of the current government, and the leading representatives of this team simply insulted President Trump, insulted his political camp. We will all pay for this – said Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Wnet's Morning Show.

– I can compare this to […] the KPO, which was a kind of EU blackmail. Here we can have “friendship KPOs.” If a team friendly to the incoming American team were ruling in Poland today, I am convinced that the American government, the American administration would treat Poland differently regarding customs policy, trade policy, and Poland could benefit from this – he stated.

– In the current situation, unfortunately, this yellow list of microprocessors shows how they view our wonderful country today – he assessed.

– [The health education project] was ruined by politics to the extent that it caused great, unnecessary turmoil, and as the minister responsible for the well-being of teachers, students, parents, and the entire school community, seeing these tensions, I must also protect schools from political squabbles – said Barbara Nowacka on RMF FM.

– In 2025, health education will be an optional subject. I will encourage all parents, teachers, and young people to participate in these classes, and after the end of 2025, we will have a very serious discussion with teachers about how this program is working. […] there will be an evaluation, and it will give us the decision on what steps we take next – she continued.

– I believe that they, including the PiS candidate, Mr. Nawrocki, did great harm to children and young people by protesting against things they did not know or understand. Because it is they who are acting today to expose children to sexual violence, to the loss of mental health, to ignorance, and unawareness – she further stated.

– Health education was the result of cooperation with the Ministry of Sport, the Ministry of Health, and organizations, such as those bringing together doctors and youth, and it is not a piece of electoral declarations, but a significant social need – Barbara Nowacka said on RMF FM.

"I will protect teachers from the crackpots"

– I deeply regret that politics can so brutally intrude into school life, but I will protect this school and I will protect teachers from the crackpots – she continued.

"I have a year now to fight for social consensus"

– This is not a matter of elections, it is a matter of social consensus, and I have a year now to fight for this social consensus. And I have only one request to the politicians of PiS, Macierewicz, Nawrocki, and others who participated in the protests: before they go out, they should read what they are protesting against – she went on to say.

– Of course I believe [in Karol Nawrocki’s victory], but I am also convinced. More and more facts point to it, his meetings are generating increasing enthusiasm – said Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Wnet’s morning broadcast.

– I myself recently had a meeting in Piła, which I dedicated more to our candidate, a civic candidate. I see people’s reactions, I see that faith in Dr. Nawrocki’s victory is awakening – he continued.

– Mr. Nawrocki is asking for a comeback himself. […] Karol Nawrocki himself very readily enters politics, which he knows nothing about, enters international politics, in which he has no experience – Barbara Nowacka said on RMF FM, when asked about Volodymyr Zelenskyy's critical words about Karol Nawrocki.

– He [Karol Nawrocki] stands not only against the PiS policy, which for years strongly supported Ukraine in NATO and the European Union, but also, I think this is most outrageous for the PiS camp, against what Lech Kaczyński worked for – she continued.

– It is one thing to say that the memory of Volhynia is important and that exhumations are important to us, and another thing is to set conditions – she further stated.

– Let’s not worry about that at all. This is another trick of theirs, intended to discourage us from going to the polls, to make Poles scratch their heads and ask, “Is it worth going to the election if Tusk won’t recognize it anyway?” – said Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Wnet's Morning Show.

He appealed: – Ladies and gentlemen, let's not be afraid of this. […] If Karol Nawrocki wins the election, and we will ensure the fairness of these elections through tens of thousands of people who will serve as trusted representatives, through individuals who will be on the election commissions, then we will carry Karol Nawrocki into that Presidential Palace. We will not allow victory to be stolen from us.

– My position on this matter is clear, namely that the agreement with Mercosur should not enter into force because it simply does not align with the philosophy we speak of. If we want to promote our agriculture here in Poland, we should ensure that its interests are protected – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

– There can be no hypocrisy […] on the one hand, we demand very high standards from our farmers, and on the other hand, we do not protect their interests by opening the gates of the European Union to food from all over the world – he continued.

– I see no basis for adopting a resolution because, as I addressed the [finance] minister, as the chairman who must organize the work of the [National Electoral] Commission [PKW], I demanded clarification on what basis the minister is requesting the issuance of a resolution, a rescission of a resolution, or a new decision. – For me, a city president who opens Pride Parades and does well in Warsaw, a person who fights for the separation of church and state, issues ordinances to not hang crosses and other religious symbols in offices, if they simultaneously try to persuade, adopting right-wing language about economic patriotism, among other things, although I don't assume it's exclusively right-wing, but it's a narrative currently heavily used by PiS, they might end up in a very awkward position and won't fully convince either group of voters – the Left MP continued.

– Schools need calm, and my task as Minister of Education is to ensure calm in schools. That teachers conduct classes in comfortable and peaceful conditions. That the subject being introduced into schools is well understood by the entire society – said Barbara Nowacka at a press conference.

– For the subject to be well-received and for parents to want to send their children, I cannot allow radicals to disrupt lessons. And that's where it was heading – she continued.

– The Ministry of National Education is responsible for communication regarding the actions of the Ministry of National Education. No other ministry. And it is the Ministry of National Education that prepares the program and familiarizes itself with its foundations – said Barbara Nowacka at a press conference.

– Schools deserve peace and security. And all those who caused chaos in them without reading the curriculum deserve one thing: condemnation – said Barbara Nowacka at a press conference.

"Despite my deep appreciation for Jan Kapela's previous work, I hope the Minister of Culture reconsiders [the scholarship], because indirectly supporting, in a moral sense, patostreaming or freak fights raises my serious concern," Barbara Nowacka stated at a press conference.

– The fact is that we are parting ways. From this moment on, we will operate politically separately. My assessment of the situation is that Grzegorz Braun made a mistake, but as always in these kinds of situations, only history will judge us and determine who truly made the mistake. In any case, we as Konfederacja are moving forward, maintaining unity, and will continue to build the only alternative to the current system – stated Sławomir Mentzen at a press conference in the Sejm.

– Today, we cannot allow for the option of loosening relations between the United States and Europe, nor can we permit attempts to bury centuries of relations built around values, freedom, and democracy, as well as decades of transatlantic cooperation that has created, above all, the most important, strongest security alliance, the North Atlantic Alliance, NATO – said Karol Nawrocki during his address at a meeting with the diplomatic corps.

"The European Union today faces a great risk of a so-called perfect storm, meaning on the one hand, erroneous [...] climate policy, growing and disturbing bureaucratic burdens, ideologization of politics detached from the needs of Polish society [...] this problem is also manifesting in many other European countries," said Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with the diplomatic corps.

"We face a task that says if we want to maintain our prosperity, if we want to maintain our freedom, if we want to maintain our security, we must gather the courage and have the courage for a fundamental shift in thinking. We must rediscover in Europe that Europe has a chance to find its place in the new geopolitical order that is being created before our eyes today," he continued.

– We find ourselves in a situation that Poles across the country are also asking themselves: on the one hand, Europe is fighting against coal, while China, using this same coal, is producing technologies intended to create an ecological Europe – stated Karol Nawrocki during his address at a meeting with the diplomatic corps.

– This is one of the proofs supporting the statement that we must replace ideology in the economy with another word starting with 'i' [in Polish: 'innowacyjność'], we must replace it with genuine innovation and novelties – he continued.

– Over the past decades, the German, and therefore European, economic model was based on several pillars: on the one hand, cheap raw materials from Russia; on security bought for little money from the United States; on cheap workers from Central Europe, but also on migrants from Africa and the Middle East; and furthermore, on low financing costs and high-margin products sold to China – said Karol Nawrocki during his address at a meeting with the diplomatic corps.

– Today, all these pillars of Western Europe have fallen, and the chaos in countries like France, like Germany, confirms these mistakes, for example in migration policy or climate policy […] therefore, we must build the foundations for new growth of the European Union, thus taking an active role in redefining the reality surrounding us – he continued.

– Poland's role will primarily be to defend its own interests, but I also see our role in mediating relations with the United States. With Donald Trump's victory, a reshuffling of American priorities in Europe has begun, and following this reshuffling, there will certainly be adjustments in American defense resources, as well as technology, capital, and diplomatic standing – said Karol Nawrocki during his address at a meeting with the diplomatic corps.

– Therefore, I believe that my homeland, Poland, can be a winner in this process for the entire Central European region – he continued.

– It was Poland that awakened its European partners in the final days of February 2022, the Polish President appealed to the leaders of the free world, and the Polish Prime Minister visited Berlin and the German Chancellor to encourage greater engagement than just sending 5,000 helmets – said Karol Nawrocki during his address to the diplomatic corps.

– Had it not been for our country's support, Ukraine might have fallen in the first days of the war, despite the heroism, commitment, and sacrifice of the Ukrainian armed forces. Regarding Ukraine, Poland has done and continues to do more than we might realize, more than we can do […] we, as Poles, as the Polish state, do not need to prove anything here or confirm anything in any way – he continued.

– However, Ukraine and our partners must know that politics operates on the rule of reciprocity in relations. We will continue, when I become president, to support Ukraine against the threat of the Russian Federation, which is also hostile towards us; this is obvious. At the same time, Poland represents, and I want to emphasize this clearly, its own interests and its society. Therefore, it cannot afford actions that will harm our own economy, agriculture, the wealth of Poles' wallets, or the functioning of social security systems – he went on to say.

– All decisions concerning the future of our good economic and political cooperation, including with the Ukrainian state, will be dependent on the interests of Poland and Poles, and solely on them – he added.

– In light of the prosecutors' assessment, primarily the assessment of the evidentiary material, MP Mateusz Morawiecki may have, there is such a probability, or rather a justified suspicion, that he may have committed official misconduct consisting of exceeding his authority – stated Anna Adamiak, spokesperson for the National Prosecutor's Office.

– This action caused harm to the public interest. Furthermore, the prosecutors also found an omission of duties by the then Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland. In a situation where he already had knowledge that the presidential elections in 2020, on May 10th, would not take place, he did not revoke his decision instructing Poczta Polska and Państwowa Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych to cease activities that generated costs – she continued.

– In my assessment, there is no guarantee today that Europe as a community of states moving in the same direction will survive in the form we know. Already south of Central Europe, we see alliances of countries that are directing their attention in a completely different direction, professing different priorities and different goals – said Karol Nawrocki during his address to the diplomatic corps.

– We must reconstruct European unity anew, because this will allow us to protect Europe and maintain the center of the world on the Atlantic Ocean – he continued.

– The case of Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki is very simple. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki issued two administrative decisions that, in light of the law, he was not authorized to make, which also stems from the rulings of administrative courts. There is nothing more to investigate here, which is why, as I said, this matter is so complete in terms of evidence that there is no reason for it to lie dormant in this entire large proceeding – said Anna Adamiak, spokesperson for the National Prosecutor's Office.

– Prosecutors from the team do not rule out further requests to lift immunities – she added.

– Mateusz Morawiecki will soon lose his immunity and be charged with crimes. By breaking current regulations, he attempted to conduct postal elections, illegally usurping the powers of the National Electoral Commission (PKW). Despite millions of zlotys being spent on his orders, the PiS government ultimately failed to carry out these elections – Jan Grabiec wrote on social media.

– For the first time in Poland's history, due to the authorities' manipulation, elections simply did not take place on the statutory date. They discredited Poland and wasted millions. Now they will be held accountable – emphasized the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery.

– I received a motion today before noon to revoke the parliamentary immunity of MP Mateusz Morawiecki, largely based, as I have reviewed it, on the findings of the Sejm investigative committee. This concerns the organization of postal elections, and Mateusz Morawiecki’s responsibility during his tenure as Prime Minister for organizing these elections – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– The fate of these motions is the same as all immunity motions. I have today sent it for formal review to the Sejm’s legal services and instructed them to present their opinion on this matter to me on Monday. I hope that on Monday I will be able to forward this motion to the committee on rules, immunity, and MP affairs. Although, it also seems unlikely to me, as there is a whole queue of motions awaiting consideration, for this motion to be able to be procedured, to be considered, at this session – he continued.

– At the next Sejm session, a few things I can tell you about today, the Sejm will be in session from Wednesday to Friday. There will be an incidental law. Today, the Justice Committee worked on it, and I know it will continue its work on Tuesday – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

– The Regulations Committee will work on the so-called lex Romanowski concerning […] the remuneration of MPs who are in conflict with the law […]. At the upcoming Sejm session, we will proceed with further elements of this migration package, the act on the employment of foreigners, the amendment to the visa act, and the act on foreigners – he continued.

– The first reading of the bill on accession to the European Public Prosecutor's Office […] the reading of the deregulation act prepared by our MP Ryszard Petru, the PiS project concerning the Volhynian lie, the Civic Coalition project […] which stipulates that job advertisements must include salary information, and the Confederation project concerning the reform of pre-trial detention institutions – he further stated.

– Today I saw that Mr. Stanowski, our Elon Musk, only with Twitter, but without Tesla, is also starting to collect signatures – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

I have never been a member of PiS, but I am proud that PiS supports me, because they are responsible for 8 years of good governance of the Republic of Poland. Today, before our very eyes, we see how difficult it is for the current government to rule. “We’re Winking at Ultra-Right Circles”

– Physical health, the internet and addiction prevention, mental health […] maturation, including sexual health, nutrition. And suddenly it won’t be obligatory […] because we are winking at ultra-Catholic circles, we are winking at ultra-right circles – added the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm.

– The state of public finances today, at this turn of European geopolitical change, is at a very difficult moment. Over the next two years, the Polish government will indebt us more than the total deficit of the United Right governments prior to October 15, 2023. We want to leave our homeland to our children and grandchildren, developing with great projects, unburdened by debt, a country where we would be free – stated Karol Nawrocki at a meeting with residents of Ostrów Mazowiecka.

– I do not want to hand over to my children a Poland burdened by debt, a Poland in decline, one that abandons major investments, grand plans, and extensive programs; I do not agree to this – he added.

– As a candidate for President, I proposed initial solutions. My first legislative initiative will be to return to the original concept of the Central Communication Port. There is a citizens' bill in the Polish Sejm, signed by 200,000 people, ladies and gentlemen, which refers to the foundation of the CPK, touching upon the essence of this major investment that was intended to be the engine of the Polish economy for years to come – said Karol Nawrocki at a meeting with residents of Ostrów Mazowiecka.
