Tusk to PiS politicians:

With all my heart, I wish them good health. To everyone, not just the suspects.

- To the PiS politicians who, a year ago, after our government was appointed, suddenly felt unwell, I wish good health with all my heart. To everyone, not just the suspects – wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on social media.

Tusk Releases Video Marking Anniversary of His Inaugural Address:

It's Only Been a Year, Much More Lies Ahead.
- A year of the October 15th Coalition's government has passed. It has been a time of positive change - says the narrator in a video released by Prime Minister Donald Tusk. - The 800+ program has been launched, and parents of the youngest children are already receiving an additional 1500 zlotys per month as a "babciowe" (grandparent's benefit). Thanks to the free in vitro program, 18,000 couples are already realizing their dreams of parenthood. Seniors have gained the largest pension indexation in years and a widow's pension, and the social pension for those most in need is rising to the minimum wage level - he enumerates. - We have unblocked European funds - 600 billion zlotys for Poland for investment and development. We want a Poland within 100 minutes, which is why we are building High-Speed Rail, to make everywhere close. We are lowering the health contribution, we have introduced a monthly leave for entrepreneurs, and cash-flow PIT - he continues. - In these extraordinary times, we know what our priorities are. Ours is security, which is why we are building the Eastern Shield and the most modern army in Europe. And it's only been a year. Much more lies ahead - he concluded.

08:31

Budka:

When we say a hostile takeover and disinformation could occur, PiS politicians strangely appear
- Hit the table, and the scissors will respond. Strangely, when we talk about suspicious Russian influence, when we talk about the possibility of a hostile takeover and disinformation in Poland, PiS politicians appear. This doesn't surprise me, because these are people who will stop at nothing in their dreams of returning to power - said Borys Budka in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on TOK FM Morning.

- This regulation provides the possibility to extend state protection to entities such as the aforementioned media corporations [TVN and Polsat] - he added.

08:32

Szłapka:

Our goal is for Europe to stop being naive. We have never been naive regarding threats from Russia
- What has also been our goal from the very beginning, and by the way, Poland has been very consistent on this, is for Europe to stop being naive. We have never been naive regarding threats from Russia - said Adam Szłapka on TOK FM's "Morning" program. - I think not [nobody is naive anymore today], but there can always be a temptation, if a conflict is frozen, to return to so-called business as usual and pretend that everything is fine - he continued. - I'm not saying that someone would want that. I'm saying that we must be very careful that this kind of thinking does not return at all in the Western world - he went on to say.

08:37

Budka on the Decision Regarding TVN and Polsat:

This Isn't Blocking the Possibility of Sale.
- Contrary to what some claim, this is not blocking the possibility of sale. It is potentially an objection if entities so important from a security perspective – we are talking about information, disinformation here – were to end up with people who would later conduct, among other things, Kremlin propaganda on the territory of our country – said Borys Budka on TOK FM Morning.

08:43

We Need to Move from a Europe of Bans, Orders, and Excessive Regulation to a Europe of Investment and Incentives. Szłapka on Energy Transformation
- Generally, the paradigm of thinking in Europe needs to change, and we need to move from a Europe of bans, orders, and excessive regulation to a Europe of investment and incentives, including those for transformation - said Adam Szłapka on TOK FM. - A very good example is what the American administration has been doing, because they have achieved more in climate policy in recent years than Europe, partly because they have invested very substantial funds in renewable energy - he continued.

08:45

Szłapka:

Our Goal is for Commentators to Stop Laughing at Europe
- When talking about the competitiveness of Europe as a whole, we must talk about unleashing the potential of European businesses, which in my opinion is currently unfortunately blocked. Very often, commentators joke that the United States has become the leader in innovation, China in industrial production, and Europe in regulation. And our goal is, due to the reality of the situation, for commentators to stop laughing at Europe – said Adam Szłapka on TOK FM.

08:48

Szłapka:

I Don't Feel Marshal Hołownia Faces More Online Hate Than Any Other Politician
- I don't have the feeling that Marshal Hołownia is encountering more online hate from anyone than any other politician - said Adam Szłapka on TOK FM.

08:52

Bosak:

Provisions on Losing Subsidies Are Not Adapted to the Modern Legal Order

- In my opinion, the provisions on losing subsidies are not adapted to the modern legal order. They are anachronistic, somewhat like from the 18th or 19th century. In my opinion, there should be the possibility of imposing scalable penalties for abuses, whereas currently we have a zero-one system - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

08:53

Bosak:

The Situation Where the National Electoral Commission Accepts a Ruling Favorable to Us, But Not to PiS, is Absurd

- I believe that the situation in which the National Electoral Commission (PKW) accepts a ruling favorable to us, because that's what it did, by the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs, but does not accept one favorable to PiS, is absurd - stated Krzysztof Bosak on "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

- PiS are my competitors, I don't particularly like them, we've been rivals in politics for 20 years, however, a situation where, based on a ruling from the same court, a ruling favorable to us is accepted, and one favorable to PiS is not accepted, offends my dignity as a citizen of the Polish state. I don't want to live in a state where it's discretionary who gets millions. Because that's a Bantustan, not a state of law - he continued.

08:55

Bosak:

Trzaskowski's Pre-Campaign is Funded by Funds from Some Municipalities Controlled by Civic Platform

- Rafał Trzaskowski also funded [his activities] with municipal funds, and his pre-campaign is financed by funds from some municipalities controlled by Civic Platform, and he also distributed advertisements during the campaign funded by municipal funds - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

08:56

Episcopate Heads for Political Showdown, This Sharpened Tone Coincides with the Campaign. Nowacka on Talks with the Church

- I have a sense that at least part of the episcopate is heading for a political showdown. Please note that this greatly sharpened tone coincides with the campaign, and yet, for quite a few years now, we all had the feeling that at least part of the Church, I wouldn't want to lump everyone together, but part of it, had registered the Church as being with PiS. Today, they are bearing the consequences, but clearly not everyone is looking at this calmly – stated Barbara Nowacka on the program "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:57

Nowacka:

Episcopate Submitted Unacceptable Proposals
- Today, studies show that 30% of PiS voters believe that one religion class is exactly the model that should function. I'm not talking about other voters, because there the support is much greater. The Church itself sees that in secondary schools, there has been a mass exodus from religion classes for several years – said Barbara Nowacka on TVN24. - That's why, during the talks, they submitted proposals that are simply unacceptable to anyone, because they are also such a desperate cry of helplessness, meaning they said, 'Let's make religion or ethics compulsory, so that everyone has to attend, otherwise we will lose faithful.' It is not the state's role to ensure the Church has faithful; that is the Church's task – she continued.

08:57

Nowacka:

Religion and Ethics Will Be Optional Subjects Held During the First or Last Lesson

- We are also seeking an agreement that will be acceptable to parents, and today it is evident that the majority of parents of primary school children want their child to have religious education lessons at school. For organizational reasons, and to avoid discriminating against children who belong to other denominations or simply do not attend religious education, the most convenient solution is for these lessons to be held during the first or last period – stated Barbara Nowacka on TVN24.

- The timetable needs to be arranged rationally so that optional subjects, religion and ethics, are and will continue to be optional subjects, held during the first or last lesson – she added.

08:58

Nowacka on Organizing Religious Education:

The Church Has No Veto Power on Regulations, Hence This Decision.

- The regulation must come into force soon. At a time when agreement cannot be reached because the other side is escalating its expectations. The Church has no veto power on regulations and the functioning of the government, which is why this decision [regarding one religious education class] has been made – said Barbara Nowacka on TVN24.

Nowacka: The Episcopate’s Statement is a Certain Theatrum

- I think that politics, and the church is a body that lives very politically strongly, and especially the episcopate is a political body, also combines with certain rights from one side of concrete discussion, but from the other, a certain theatrum, which we see precisely in this statement – she continued.

08:59

Against Health Education:

Nawrocki and Macierewicz Don't Like Mentally Resilient Children?" Nowacka on the "Horrible Right-Wing Campaign
I maintain the position that health education is simply very necessary for children. There are no final decisions yet regarding its shape or all its provisions, but I have them, and so do many people who are knowledgeable about children's health and safety, including people not necessarily associated with the liberal side of the political spectrum – stated Barbara Nowacka on TVN24.

What is in it? For example, there is the fight against addictions. I truly cannot understand how right-wing politicians could protest against fighting addictions, how they could come out to protest against the issue of mental health. Because Mr. Macierewicz comes out with Mr. Nawrocki, and they don't like the idea of children being mentally resilient? It's a horrible campaign that is causing harm and cornering children – she continued.

09:00

Budka:

On Strategic Matters, the Government Has the Right to Block Capital Linked to the Kremlin from Entering Poland
- On strategic matters, the Polish government has the right to block capital, even if it is linked to the Kremlin, from entering Poland. Every country has such tools, and this right has never been challenged within the European Union - Borys Budka said on TOK FM Morning.

- What's more, it is precisely the duty of the Polish government, at a time when we have a war on our eastern border, to counteract the entry of capital into Poland that is directly or indirectly linked to the Kremlin - he continued.

09:11

Bosak on Tusk's Decision:

Consolidating His Ideological-Political Oligarchy.
In my opinion, the Prime Minister is trying to use strategic tools to consolidate his ideological-political oligarchy – stated Krzysztof Bosak in PR1's “Sygnały dnia”.

09:27

Warrant Issued for Romanowski
Police officers have submitted a request to the National Prosecutor's Office for a warrant to be issued for former Deputy Minister of Justice Marcin Romanowski. There is a justified suspicion that the Member of Parliament is in hiding, hence the necessity for a warrant to be issued - wrote the press spokesman for the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Jacek Dobrzyński.

10:24

Kosiniak-Kamysz Sets Date for Drone Forces Establishment in the Polish Army

- Another major investment, two matters are most important to us: security and the economy. They complement each other; they are at the forefront of our actions. A few months ago, I announced the establishment of drone forces, and this is becoming a reality. From January 1st, drone forces will function not as a plan, but as a real part of the Polish Army. But before that happens, another contract for very important unmanned systems, large unmanned systems MQ-9B, which represents the most modern technology – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

10:35

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the MQ-9B SkyGuardian Drone Contract:

This is State-of-the-Art Equipment, and from 2027 it will be Polish Armed Forces Property.

- These capabilities, which the [MQ-9B SkyGuardian] drone we are purchasing today possesses, reconnaissance, the use of the most modern imaging techniques, radars, optronics, which complement each other in the entire system, this is the advantage we are gaining. They will serve in the Polish Army, they will be effectively utilized, there will be no break in service. Today we have leasing, and from 2027, it will be permanent property of the Polish Army – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

10:35

Incompetence Isn't Always Someone's Fault, It's a Flaw." Kosiniak-Kamysz Comments on PiS Accusations Regarding the Dismantling of the Polish Army

- I would like to sincerely thank our team, led by Minister Bejda and General Kuptel, for their efforts in modernizing the Polish Army. Over 100 contracts have already been signed this year, and in fact, we are opening a very important week, with just a couple of weeks left until the end of the year, during which we will be signing not one, but several contracts almost every day – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

- Those who claimed there would be no contracts, that no purchases were being made, were simply misleading. They lack both knowledge and preparation. Well, it's difficult, one must forgive them for that. Incompetence isn't always someone's fault; it's simply a flaw – he added.

10:41

Nawrocki:

Citizen Security Should Be Free from Radical Party and Political Discourse

- I am convinced that as a civic candidate for the President of the Republic of Poland, with your participation, knowledge, and experience, I will create a program, a project for Polish defense, which will lead us into the future - stated Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with WP and PSP officers, as well as scientists.

- My direction of action as a civic candidate for the President of the Republic of Poland is to make security issues a demarcation line of political dispute. On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Poland, I am a proponent of the principle that our common security as citizens should be free from radical party and political discourse, and should be a matter that unites experts, people knowledgeable in security - he continued.

- I recognize that our goal is to create Polish armed forces, composed of 300,000 well-equipped Polish soldiers, and to strive towards the initiated project of the largest land army in NATO in Europe - he emphasized.

10:43

Nawrocki:

We Should Build Our Alliance of Values with the USA

- I come to this table with the full conviction that we should build our alliance of values with the USA, and Poland's presence and strength within the NATO alliance is a premise that I adopt as my commitment - stated Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with Polish Armed Forces officers, Polish State Fire Service officers, and scientists.

10:49

Nawrocki:

I Believe We Will Also Be Able to Produce K2 Tanks in Poland

- Today, after analyzing the theater of war along our eastern border, we know that we need 500 HIMARS, contracts signed with South Korea for K2 tanks, and as an aspirational and ambitious candidate and future President of the Republic of Poland, I believe that we will also be able to produce K2 tanks, South Korean ones precisely in Poland - stated Karol Nawrocki during a meeting with officers of the Polish Armed Forces, the State Fire Service, and scientists.

10:54

Paszyk:

There Will Be No 0% Mortgage, Those Were Election Campaign Slogans
There will be no 0% mortgage. Poland has the highest mortgage interest rates in the European Union, nearly twice the European average. We need to find a solution that helps Poles in this regard, but let's stop talking about 2% or 0% mortgages – stated Krzysztof Paszyk on Radio Zet. - These were slogans and assurances from many months ago, from the election campaign. Today we are discussing solutions that are meant to help Poles, and let's stop bringing that up – he added.

12:18

Nawrocki Appeals to Trzaskowski:

Poles Are Waiting for This.

- Hence my appeal to my main opponent, PO Vice-Chairman Rafał Trzaskowski, to be ready to acknowledge the priorities of Polish security policy and to be ready to sign the Polish Security Constitution. Dear opponent, esteemed Vice-Chairman of PO - stated Karol Nawrocki at a press briefing.

- Let's give Poles a sense of stability, security, and a connection to the foundations of our national community's security in the upcoming election campaign. Let's fight with social and political arguments, with our platforms, with our projects, but I appeal to you, esteemed opponent, to sign the Polish Security Constitution and to remove Poland's security from political dispute. Poles are waiting for this - he continued.

12:23

Hołownia:

The PKW's decision is key; the Ministry of Finance will implement the PKW's decisions

- I have repeatedly stated my doubts regarding the status of the Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs Chamber, and nothing has changed in my assessment. However, the PKW and the Ministry of Finance are the custodians of this matter. I understand that the key decision at this moment is the PKW's, and the Ministry of Finance will implement the PKW's decisions. The National Electoral Commission is an independent body appointed by the president; it knows what it needs to do and will likely make a sound decision – Szymon Hołownia told journalists.

12:24

Hołownia:

If in 10 Years We Had Finland's Level of Security, the Political Class Would Have Done a Good Job
Everything is subordinated to security [in Finland], and bringing about a situation where we are also mentally prepared for life in the world they are preparing for will take more than a few years. However, this journey has to start somewhere. If in 10 years we had the same level of security in Poland as in Finland, I believe that the political class, the financiers, and those deciding on such ventures would have done a good job – stated Szymon Hołownia in a conversation with journalists. - These are different times, as our hosts rightly said, we have such neighbours, they won't change, we are talking about those beyond our eastern border, and it would be good if we managed to be wise before the event, hopefully it never comes. They invest in this because they know that people are the most important to them, and we must also show our citizens that they are the most important to us, their lives – he continued.

12:27

Nawrocki:

I hope the Supreme Court's decisions and rulings will be respected

- The reduction in subsidies for the environment that supports me, for the PiS environment, which supports a civic candidate among many other committees, patriotic camps, social organizations, foundations, associations, and patriots from all over Poland, but the reduction of this subsidy shows that the fight for the presidential seat is indeed unfair, this competition is unfair - stated Karol Nawrocki at a press briefing.

- I hope that the decisions and rulings of the Supreme Court in my, our common Polish Republic will be respected. If, however, this does not happen, I would like to convince you all that it will not affect my energy, nor, as I feel from recent meetings across Poland, the energy of many thousands of Poles - he continued.

12:27

Hołownia on Ziobro and Romanowski:

Hiding from the state apparatus today reflects poorly on them.

- Hiding from the state apparatus today, not appearing before investigative committees, avoiding interrogations, really reflects poorly on them and truly works against them, because if they had nothing to hide, they would surely come and present themselves before the judiciary. If, in their assessment, they are unjustly arrested, and they have nothing to reproach themselves with, then later they will be able to demand compensation for that arrest; we live in a state of law, after all – stated Szymon Hołownia in a conversation with journalists.

Hołownia: I hope justice will prevail, the charges against Romanowski are very serious

- I hope that the law will prevail and justice will be served, including in this case. The charges against Mr. Romanowski are very serious, concerning many millions of zlotys, which, what's worse, were intended to be used for the benefit of the weakest, but were used to strengthen the political party and the political circle of Mr. Romanowski, Minister Ziobro – he continued.

12:29

Nawrocki:

I Guarantee Nothing Will Break Me

- Recently, the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services publicly stated that a team is being formed within the special services to deal with a civic candidate for the President of the Republic of Poland. We see how these partisan, political fluids are grinding down the civic candidate for the office of President of the Republic of Poland, but I guarantee that nothing will break me. The more repression there is, the greater the support of Poles will be, and my determination will grow even stronger - stated Karol Nawrocki at a press briefing.

12:30

Błaszczak:

Supreme Court Ruling is Unambiguous. If the Minister of Finance Fails to Act, They Will Face Consequences

- The Supreme Court's ruling is unambiguous. It obliges the authorities to disburse the funds owed to PiS. If the Minister of Finance does not comply, they will face consequences for non-compliance, for breaking the law - stated Mariusz Błaszczak.

13:40

Tusk:

Poland and France Stand Together on Every Crucial Matter Concerning the Security of the Western World
- Today, at this critical moment in the history of Europe and the entire world, we both, as leaders in our respective countries, but also Poland and France as nations, stand on the same side on every crucial matter concerning the security of Poland, France, Europe, and the Western world. Poland and France today present the same stance - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a statement following his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

13:44

Tusk:

I am convinced that we will sign a new Polish-French treaty of friendship in the spring
- I also thank you very much for this declaration of our joint work on accelerating and completing the work on our new treaty of friendship. Polish-French relations are not just traditional friendship, they are not just our excellent understanding, but for the future of Europe, this can also be a crucial moment - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a statement after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. - I am convinced that during the Polish presidency this spring, we will sign our new treaty of friendship, and that it will be a truly significant moment in the history of both our countries - he continued.

13:45

Czarnek:

PKW is obliged to accept PiS's financial report, and the Minister of Finance will disburse funds to us

- We will manage, because the Supreme Court, the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs. The same chamber with which the National Electoral Commission corresponded just two weeks ago, requesting the recusal of judges from the panel, meaning it saw that it existed. If it didn't exist, it wouldn't have corresponded with it at all. This same chamber, which exists, issued a ruling yesterday that the PKW resolution, depriving us of the possibility of subsidies for the coming years, is contrary to the law, lacks legal basis. – stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

"If they don't do it, they will face consequences." Czarnek on disbursing subsidies to PiS

- Today, the PKW, which knew that the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs exists, has an obligation to adopt a resolution accepting this report, and the Minister of Finance will have an obligation, based on this, to disburse financial resources. If not, first and foremost, all those who are breaking the law today, in an absolutely unceremonious manner, will bear the consequences, both criminal and civil, and the restoration of the rule of law in Poland is approaching rapidly – he continued.

13:46

Czarnek ironically comments on TVN's inclusion on the strategic companies list:

I hope the Prime Minister also adds PiS to the list of strategic entities.
We hope that Prime Minister Tusk will add us to the list of strategic entities. He added TVN, because I don't know how you will cope now, with all these twists and turns. Donald Tusk is rushing to the rescue, upset that TVN, a company strategic for Poland, has been added. Perhaps PiS should also be added to the list of strategic companies. It would be just as illegal as adding TVN as an entity to the list of these strategic companies – stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

13:46

Czarnek Summarizes the Actions of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education:

Just One Year Was Enough to Eliminate All Developmental Research Programs.

- What Minister Wieczorek, along with Minister Gzik and Minister Gdula from the Łukaszewicz research network, did. What they did with scientists who returned from abroad, top-level scientists, in order to develop scientific research in fields extremely important for the Polish economy, were actions detrimental to the Polish economy, detrimental to Polish society. Just one year was enough, just one year, to eliminate all these developmental research programs – said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

13:51

Tusk to Macron in the context of peace efforts in Ukraine:

Thank you very much for your role, it is invaluable.
- We discussed, of course, our joint work towards a just peace in Ukraine. Thank you very much for your role, it is invaluable. Today, Europe needs leaders who unequivocally think about Russian aggression, who are respected globally and have such a clear vision of what the future should look like in and around Europe - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a statement after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. - We exchanged information and our intentions regarding peace efforts. I informed the President about my work with Scandinavian and Baltic partners - he continued. - I have had many conversations recently, and so has the President, and from these emerges the need for full European unity with the key role of France and Poland in building a united front for Ukraine and peace in Ukraine - he went on to say.

13:53

Tusk:

Ukraine Must Be Present at Every Discussion, and Every Variant Must Be Accepted by Them
- We also have an absolutely unambiguous stance here, for which I am also grateful, that Ukraine must be present at every discussion, and every variant, every proposal must also be accepted by our friends in Kyiv - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a statement after a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

13:57

Tusk on the Potential Presence of Polish Troops in Ukraine:

I Want to Cut Short Speculations.
- I also want, if you allow me, dear friend, to take this opportunity to cut short speculations about the potential presence of troops from one country or another in Ukraine after a ceasefire, armistice, or peace is achieved. The President is aware, we discussed this, decisions regarding Polish actions will be made in Warsaw and only in Warsaw; for now, we are not planning such actions - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a statement after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

14:04

Tusk on Poland's Commitment to Protecting NATO and EU Borders:

I Want This to Reach All Politicians in Europe and Kyiv.
- Frankly speaking, and I also told the President this, I want all of Europe to finally understand this too. Poland bears the greatest burdens of all European states in connection with the war in Ukraine. These are burdens of various types. Including involvement in military aid and financial involvement – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a statement after his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. - It is in Poland that this largest, key, almost the only hub for aid to Ukraine on this scale is located. We are bearing the costs with the full conviction that it is necessary. That aiding Ukraine is also an action for the security of Poland, France, and all of Europe – he continued. - But I want this to reach all politicians in Europe, but also in Kyiv, that Poland has also taken on the burden of protecting the border of NATO, the entire European Union, and the NATO border with Belarus and Russia. [...] Poland is a country that also requires full support and cooperation for the security of our border – he went on to say.

14:09

Tusk:

In Poland and France, voters will choose presidents, not Putin
- We also discussed the threat that has emerged in many European countries, which has been and continues to be present in both Poland and France, and recently in Romania, namely the threat of Russian interference in our democratic processes, elections, but also other spheres of life - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in a statement after a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. - I thank you for your full understanding; we share the same view. Poland and the Polish government will not tolerate any attempts to interfere in presidential elections in any way. To put it plainly, in Poland and France, it will be the voters who choose presidents, not the Kremlin, and not Putin with the help of his hybrid, very aggressive behaviours, for example in cyberspace - he continued. - I warn everyone who would try to interfere in the electoral process in Poland. We will find tools and ways to protect Polish democracy from such interference - he went on to say.

14:10

Nawrocki's Team Actively Participates in Romanowski's Concealment. Nitras and Tomczyk's Appeal

- We are addressing the staff of Mr. Nawrocki, Kanthak, Kaleta. All of his Solidarna Polska staffers, in fact, who talk about some kind of civil disobedience, which is an act of defiance against the state. We are talking about the actions of the prosecutor's office, court decisions, and we state with regret that today Karol Nawrocki's team is actively participating in concealing Mr. MP Romanowski - stated Sławomir Nitras at a press briefing in the Sejm.

- From this very place, we would like to appeal to Karol Nawrocki to fully cooperate with the prosecutor's office. So that they reveal all the facts they know about Romanowski, the actions that help Romanowski in hiding. We categorically expect Nawrocki's cooperation with the court, police, and prosecutor's office, in order to reveal Romanowski's whereabouts - he added.

- Immediately, those who have anything to do with the Fundusz Sprawiedliwości should be expelled from Mr. Nawrocki's team, because how can it be that someone who wants to become President of the Republic of Poland has people in his ranks who are hiding a potential criminal - said Cezary Tomczyk.

14:11

Schreiber Summarizes Minister Wieczorek’s Actions:

We Are Dealing with a Ministry of Partisanizing Science and Higher Education.
We all must agree that today we are, in fact, dealing with a minister of partisanizing science and higher education. This means the unprecedented influx of party activists – and I want to emphasize not just from Lewica, because this is a minister acting in the interest of the entire December 13th coalition. Activists from the parties forming the coalition are being appointed to research institutes, not state-owned companies, but research institutes, scientific institutes. This is something unheard of – stated Łukasz Schreiber at a press conference. “Gangsterism and Cronyism.” Schreiber on What Is Happening at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education - What is amazing in all of this is that these are precisely the actions: gangsterism and cronyism. If Leszek Miller, a member of the same party as Minister Wieczorek, and not Minister Przemysław Czarnek, for example, speaks of how thuggish methods have moved from party halls to ministerial offices. If rectors, if subordinates are being threatened that they will be ruined if they do not sign this or that document, this is also an unprecedented matter – he continued.

Morawiecki Presents a Basket Full of Price Hikes:

Millions of Poles Feel the Fatal Consequences of This Government.

- Exactly a year ago, you delivered a speech in the name of your government, the fatal consequences of which are felt today by millions of Poles. In every domain. We will remind everyone of this, because it has been a very bad year for Poland — wrote Mateusz Morawiecki on social media.

Sikorski:

We are not considering sending any forces to Ukraine

- First and foremost, we believe that nothing concerning Ukraine should happen without Ukraine and Europe. These are preliminary ideas for now; one thing seems clear: Poland shares a 600 km border with Belarus and Russia. We support the entire logistical operation for Ukraine, and perhaps our role lies here. However, we are not considering sending any forces to Ukraine - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press briefing.

Szefernaker Responds to Nitras and Tomczyk's Conference:

We're Waiting for Butter to Be Summoned to the Prosecutor's Office to Testify Why It's So Expensive.

- After the weekend's disgrace, Trzaskowski's campaign team has gone mad. As Jarosław Kaczyński wrote, fear has big eyes. We're waiting for butter to be summoned to the prosecutor's office to testify why it's so expensive - wrote Paweł Szefernaker on social media.

"Likely the First Case in Poland": Wanted Notice Issued for Romanowski

- Today, police officers requested from us to initiate a search with a wanted notice, justifying this request by the fact that the suspect is in hiding. Prosecutor Piotr Woźniak, after reviewing this documentation and these findings, initiated a search for Marcin Romanowski with a wanted notice today, as the wanted person is in hiding. This is likely the first case in Poland where a Member of Parliament of the current term, and former Deputy Minister of Justice, is sought with a wanted notice – stated spokesman for the National Prosecutor's Office, Przemysław Nowak.

PK Spokesperson on the Romanowski Case:

We Suspect No One.

- No, we suspect no one - stated the Spokesperson for the National Prosecutor's Office (PK), Przemysław Nowak, when asked about suspicions regarding individuals who might have assisted Marcin Romanowski in evading apprehension.

Domański After Meeting of Weimar Triangle Finance Ministers:

A Moment When European Economies Need Unity, Cooperation, and Dialogue.

- There is no doubt in my mind that this is the moment when European economies need unity, cooperation, and certainly dialogue. Our meeting is taking place at a special time; we have a relatively new European Parliament, a new European Commission, and we are on the eve of Poland assuming the EU presidency - stated Andrzej Domański during the press statements of the Weimar Triangle finance ministers.

Duda Meets with Macron

Support for Ukraine and Poland's upcoming presidency of the Council of the European Union were the main topics of Thursday's talks between the Presidents of Poland and France: Andrzej Duda and Emmanuel Macron. The leaders met at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, as announced by the Presidential Chancellery.

Following Trzaskowski's Meeting with Macron:

A Very Good Meeting.

- A very good meeting. For Warsaw and for Poland - wrote Wioletta Paprocka on social media.

Duda on a Free Christmas Eve:

My Stance on This Has Been Somewhat Suspended.
- I was asked by media representatives multiple times [...] and I said yes, that I am absolutely in favour of [a Christmas Eve free from work] [...] I thought it was the right solution, that Poles would be happy with it, that in reality the loss incurred by entrepreneurs and the economy would not be significant, as it is such a specific day anyway - said President Andrzej Duda during social consultations with employers and employees regarding Christmas Eve being free from work. - Unfortunately, in the final version, which you know as the law, which was voted on in parliament [...] there were very significant modifications. All in all, although Christmas Eve is indeed established as a day free from work, [...] in return, the three Sundays preceding Christmas Eve will be working Sundays, with the caveat that an employee cannot have more than two working Sundays in December - he continued. - After this draft was adopted, after its final vote, the same people who had previously spoken to me, saying they were supporters of this solution, told me: [...] in this arrangement, it simply doesn't pay off for us and we feel a bit deceived now - he went on to say. - This situation has, to put it mildly, seriously changed after the adoption of this law, and my stance on it has also been somewhat suspended. Reflecting on what I will do with this law, I decided to invite you for a meeting. [...] I regret that proper, genuine social consultations were not conducted on this law beforehand - he added.

Nawrocki:

I Promise My Meetings with Macron Will Come When I Become President of Poland

- I should say "bonsoir". France is, of course, our important partner, but I promise that the time for my meetings with President Macron will also come, once I become the President of the Republic of Poland - stated Karol Nawrocki in Białobrzegi.

18:38

Nawrocki:

Every Law I Sign Will Reflect the Sentiments of Polish Farmers, Entrepreneurs, and the Thoughts of Poles
- Under pressure from our Western neighbor, the German state, the European Union is pushing to sign an agreement with Mercosur, as that is where the market for German products, mainly automotive but also other German goods, is intended to be. The intended effect is that meat produced and raised in South America [...] will flood the European market, hitting Polish and [...] European farmers hard - said Karol Nawrocki in Białobrzegi. - We are ready to sacrifice the Polish farmer for the German producer of automotive products. Do you agree to this, dear people? - he asked, to which the audience responded "no". - Therefore, as a civic candidate for the President of the Republic of Poland, I want to say clearly: I am against such arrangements as the EU agreement with Mercosur countries. And the Polish farmer is our national treasure, and every decision of mine, every law I sign, will reflect what the Polish farmer feels on the one hand, the Polish entrepreneur on the other, and what Poles think - he declared.

Nawrocki Announces Presentation of Action Program

- I am a candidate with my own action program, which we will present, likely in mid-February, together with my colleagues - stated Karol Nawrocki in Białobrzegi.

Nawrocki Calls for CPK Implementation:

Poland is a Great Matter, We Don't Want to Live Like in Post-Colonies.

- Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, for 31 years out of 100 years in the 20th century, we were free. Some still do not want to understand that these 69 years of colonialism and enslavement did not kill the spirit of freedom and our aspirations within us. I am here today with you to say loudly that Poland is a great matter, and we do not want to live the way people live in post-colonies. We do not need more patrons to lead us by the hand, because our history spans over 1000 years. We are a nation with aspirations, with ambitions, and with great projects that we must realize, projects like the CPK – stated Karol Nawrocki at a meeting with residents of Białobrzegi.

Nawrocki: Stop Post-Colonial Thinking in Poland

- Stop post-colonial thinking in Poland. We know what we want for Poles. We know what our commitments are, and we are convinced that we are capable of large investments, including the CPK, which will become the engine of our economy. Which is also an opportunity for all of us to connect central Poland with local Poland and district Poland, because we are all Poles, regardless of where we live and where we operate – said Karol Nawrocki at a meeting with residents of Białobrzegi.

19:01

Nawrocki:

It's evident there's a fire, hatred, and fury on the other side
- This attack is indeed very brutal. I wanted to joke that it's partly because of all these wonderful Poles across Poland who are supporting me en masse and showing that thanks to you, I will become president - said Karol Nawrocki in Białobrzegi. - Because the enthusiasm and your support are so great that it's evident there's a fire on the other side, there's some incredible and publicly declared hatred, fury - he stated.

19:03

Nawrocki:

I am a supporter of environmental protection, but I am against ecological terror

- I am a supporter of environmental protection, but I am against ecological terror that is reaching Polish lands, and this ecological terror that reaches our lands suddenly removes 17% of sustainable forest management from economic use. What is the effect? The effect is that when I go to a carpentry workshop, the prices of natural raw materials increase, the prices of furniture increase, people are dissatisfied, carpentry workshops are failing, we are surrounded by regulations and bureaucracy from the administration that is imposed on us – stated Karol Nawrocki at a meeting with residents of Białobrzegi.

19:03

Nawrocki:

I Will Be a President Who Cares for the Interests of Polish Farmers

- Similarly with farmers. When we look at the current situation of the Polish farmer, who is the salt of this earth, who feeds and defends, who is inscribed in our tradition, whose products and breeding effects end up on every table in a Polish home, and this farmer is our national treasure – I will be a president who will care for the Polish farmer – said Karol Nawrocki at a meeting with residents of Białobrzegi.

19:09

Nawrocki on changes at TVP:

I was disgusted by how the rule of law system in Poland was being destroyed.

- I will tell you what happened, when the rule of law system in Poland was so brutally, and I was disgusted by it, destroyed and they entered the Polish Television. I happened to be scheduled for an interview at TVP when the illegal takeover of Polish Television was taking place. I saw the whole atmosphere, because I was arriving for an interview, there was police, tapes, I entered, I said I was here for an interview, and here simply, I don't want to say martial law, but it wasn't nice, it wasn't pleasant, something clearly bad happened – stated Karol Nawrocki at a meeting with residents of Białobrzegi.

19:10

Nawrocki:

If some strong gentlemen entered the IPN President's office, they would be dealt with by the former Pomeranian heavyweight boxing champion.

- I will say what I did at the Institute of National Remembrance, and I am not ashamed of it, and I say it on camera. I said that if the Polish state exists, and for me the Polish state exists, then if some strong gentlemen cross the threshold, I'm not talking about the army, I'm not talking about the police, but if some strong gentlemen cross the threshold of the office, elected by the Polish Sejm and Senate, of the President of the IPN, such an important institution in the Polish state's infrastructure, if the Polish state exists, then they will be dealt with not by the president, who is an official, but by a man who was the Pomeranian heavyweight boxing champion – said Karol Nawrocki at a meeting with residents of Białobrzegi.

20:00

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

The President is at an age where he should still be politically active
I think the President [Andrzej Duda] is at an age where he should still be politically active, that he shouldn't be looking for solutions completely outside of politics. He has his parent formation, there's a rivalry there over who will succeed Jarosław Kaczyński, so there is space for doing politics - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.

20:03

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Regarding the '100 Specifics,' Let Colleagues from Civic Platform...
- Regarding the '100 Specifics,' let colleagues from Civic Platform… We had our own guarantees as Third Way, and we can account for them, presenting what has been achieved. For example, voluntary social security contributions for entrepreneurs – for now, one month, though one would likely want more - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.
