At 11:15 AM, at the request of Poland 2050, it will hear a current information statement regarding the impact of Oder River management and development on the 2022 ecological catastrophe and the 2024 flood, specifically focusing on plans to prevent similar phenomena in the future. At 5:30 PM, a voting session will commence, lasting until 6:30 PM. Votes are scheduled, among others, on the Senate's amendments to the Population Protection and Civil Defence Act, changes in committee compositions, and the appointment of Wojciech Król, a KO MP, as a candidate for the National Media Council to replace Krzysztof Czabański. This matter was supposed to be resolved at the previous session, but the vote did not take place, and the item was removed from the agenda. The remainder of the proceedings will be dedicated to the report on the activities of the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in 2023 (6:30 PM) and the bill introduced by PiS MPs concerning the limitation of bureaucracy and legal barriers (8:00 PM). Visit of the Conference of European Parliament Presidents to Poland A delegation of the European Parliament, comprising the presidents of political groups in the EP and led by EP President Roberta Metsola, is visiting Poland today. A working lunch will take place at 12:35 PM. A delegation meeting is scheduled for 1:30 PM, and a family photo at 3:05 PM. The final item is a joint press statement by President Metsola, Marshal Hołownia, and Marshal Kidawa-Błońska, which is scheduled to begin at 3:10 PM. ***** At 8:30 AM, Karol Nawrocki, the candidate supported by PiS for president, will visit a carpentry workshop in Kobyłka. A press briefing is planned. At 11:00 AM, the "Work for Poland" Team, chaired by PiS Vice-President Mateusz Morawiecki, will convene with experts. Wassermann:

I'm Not for Abolishing Immunity in Every Case – It Currently Protects Against Political Harassment
- I, for one, am not in favor of abolishing immunity in every case. [...] There are situations we are currently dealing with where it is simply normal political harassment, and immunity serves precisely to prevent this harassment - Małgorzata Wassermann said in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's "Graffiti". - That [situation at the Smoleńsk monument] was a pure provocation by Mr. Komosa. Unfortunately, I believe the police led to this provocation - she assessed.

08:23

Wassermann:

"In the Corridors, All MPs Are Embarrassed by Tusk's Vindictiveness"
- I hold onto this hope until the very end and believe that the MPs will come to their senses, those who will raise their hand in the chamber [to revoke Jarosław Kaczyński's immunity]. When you talk in the corridors with practically everyone, they are all embarrassed by the degree of Tusk's vindictiveness - Małgorzata Wassermann said on Polsat News's "Graffiti". - They believe that this is so petty, so vindictive, and so disgusting that they truly do not want to participate in it. [...] We will see how it plays out in practice. Especially since I have already heard today that Tusk has let them understand that things might not go well if they don't vote - she stated.

08:25

Kanthak:

There is no such thing as a Pegasus investigative committee

- There is no Pegasus committee. The Constitutional Tribunal ruled on it. Of course, one can acknowledge the law of the strongest, what Donald Tusk talks about, that we must be like one fist, but still, one must look at the facts. The facts are that the Constitutional Tribunal ruled on September 10th, I believe, that there is no such thing as a Pegasus investigative committee - stated Jan Kanthak on RMF FM.

08:26

Wondering Who's Being Referred To Has Value. It's Best If Everyone Pulls Themselves Together." Siemoniak on Tusk's Post Regarding Coalition Partners
- Let everyone here think about how much they've done to hold PiS accountable, and everyone knows exactly who it might concern and in what context - said Tomasz Siemoniak on "TOK FM Morning," when asked who Prime Minister Donald Tusk had in mind when he wrote that "not everyone in the Coalition understood that without accountability, there will be no repair of the Republic of Poland." - Sometimes it's worth not saying everything explicitly. We are, of course, in times when everything must be literal and served on a platter, and I also value this post because it simply makes you think, and this wondering about who it concerns is of some value here - he continued. - It would be best, to quote Prime Minister Tusk here, if everyone pulled themselves together - he added.

08:28

Hołownia Responds to Tusk's Nighttime Tweet:

People are Waiting for Justice, Not Theater and Revenge.

- Some believe that fining people for removing plaques is "settling accounts." We must finally accuse and convict those who stole people's money. They committed serious crimes. People are waiting for justice, not theater and revenge - wrote Szymon Hołownia on social media.

08:32

Kanthak to Mazurek: Do you really believe Ziobro fears intellectual heavyweights like Zembaczyński, Sroka, Bosacki, or Trela?
Zbigniew Ziobro is ready to appear before any legal commission, just as he did before the immunity committee two days ago. He has nothing to hide. Do you really believe that Zbigniew Ziobro fears intellectual heavyweights like Mr. Zembaczyński, Ms. Sroka, Mr. Bosacki, or Mr. Trela? Do you really think Zbigniew Ziobro, with his political experience, is afraid to face them at an investigative committee? - stated Jan Kanthak on RMF FM.

08:32

Siemoniak:

If Someone Blocks Wisłostrada in the Name of Supporting Civic Platform, the Police Will Remove Them Just the Same
- I appeal to the leaders of this movement [Last Generation]: you are losing any citizen sympathy by acting this way. [...] You are creating a threat to road traffic, and also to your own safety - said Tomasz Siemoniak on TOK FM. - This will definitely concern everyone, and I say, for the police or for me, these goals do not matter, in the sense that they are not unimportant. If someone blocks Wisłostrada in the name of supporting Civic Platform, the police will immediately remove them just the same. Such things must not be done - he continued.

08:34

Kanthak:

I am convinced Ziobro will not appear before the investigative committee alone, as he upholds the law

- I am convinced that Zbigniew Ziobro will not appear before the investigative committee alone, as he upholds the law. He is a former Minister of Justice, the person who served the longest as Minister of Justice and Attorney General, and I cannot imagine him now deciding that, okay, this committee doesn't exist, but we can maintain the fiction - stated Jan Kanthak on RMF FM.

08:36

Wassermann:

Tusk Threatens Hołownia and Kosiniak-Kamysz – But the Latter Seems Like a Born Victim Who Enjoys It
- I perceive this as a threat. I think towards Hołownia, those who might potentially raise a hand against this normal revenge that Tusk is practicing – said Małgorzata Wassermann in Polsat News's "Graffiti," commenting on the Prime Minister's evening post. - They have already felt what it looks like. We have a multi-week series where various mainstream portals publish articles about Kosiniak-Kamysz, but he is probably a born victim and he simply likes it, therefore it continues, it continues, and let it continue. Now Mr. Hołownia has personally felt what cooperation with Tusk looks like – she continued. "He is smiling only as long as it suits him." Wassermann on Tusk - I hope that by the elections, society will completely wake up from this dream and these fantasies about Donald Tusk's smiling Poland. Look what he is doing with the country, look what he is doing with his coalition partners – he is simply threatening them normally. […] He is smiling only as long as it suits him. If you get in his way, you will see how his fighting democracy works – she assessed.

08:37

Siemoniak on the Continued Operation of the Buffer Zone on the Polish-Belarusian Border:

It's Bringing Results.
- Of course, yes [the buffer zone on the Polish-Belarusian border will remain]. We believe it is bringing results; hundreds apprehended, over a hundred smugglers arrested, this hinders their operations - said Tomasz Siemoniak on TOK FM. - We are finishing the sealing of the barrier; there will be two transverse chains [...] in the coming days, we will complete this enormous investment, which will make it impossible to pry open the barrier with a lever. We have an electronic barrier, various devices, lighting, cameras, we are doing everything to ensure the border is sealed - he continued.

08:42

Siemoniak on Nawrocki:

He should explain where he got such contacts, such photos.
- I have seen that report, but I cannot obviously refer to it specifically here; the services don't say: we are observing this person, and not that one - Tomasz Siemoniak said on TOK FM. - So, even from this report, regardless of PiS disclaiming authorship of it, it emerges that their presidential candidate should at least thoroughly explain a couple of things: where he got such contacts, where he got such photos - he continued.

08:51

Wassermann on Nawrocki:

I Don’t Know Him Well, But He Makes a Phenomenal Impression. He Captivates the Crowd.
- I don’t know Karol Nawrocki well, but he makes a phenomenal impression on me. He’s truly excellent, he captivates the crowd. He has that gene of authenticity, there’s no artificiality in him at all. He’s the kind of person who clearly has worked very hard his entire life for what he’s achieved, for his family – from manual labor to his doctorate – Małgorzata Wassermann said on Polsat News’s “Graffiti.” - We really need someone like him in politics. I and my entire circle will do everything to ensure Karol Nawrocki becomes president – she added.

09:03

Kobosko:

Prosecute Kaczyński for a wreath? We have much bigger issues to settle
- To prosecute Jarosław Kaczyński in Poland over a wreath, in a situation where billions of zlotys have vanished, where a criminal, quasi-mafia-like arrangement has emerged in Poland, and at this moment to go after him for a matter that is debatable on a human level? - said Michał Kobosko in the "Piasecki Conversation" on TVN24. - Because if I saw some offensive content on my parents' grave in a cemetery, I would simply do what any responsible person should do - he continued. - I understand that Jarosław Kaczyński will now be a witness in the case of the famous letter he sent to Ziobro, in which he said: "no, no, no, stop stealing". […] These types of matters are the most serious, because here we are touching upon the biggest scandals and affairs of this past decade. At this moment, to compare, to put these two matters on two scales, well, sorry - we have much bigger topics to settle - he assessed. - If I were a Member of Parliament, I would probably abstain in this matter - he added, when asked about the vote on Jarosław Kaczyński's immunity.

09:11

Kobosko:

Reckoning is Necessary, but Poland 2050 Has No Influence Over It
- I agree with the Prime Minister on this – reckoning is necessary, our voters are also talking about it. They are just saying: well, wait a minute, but Poland 2050 has no influence over this reckoning. We are not at the extremely decision-making level in the ministries that are responsible for this. We are not responsible for the prosecution service, for the intelligence services, and so on. So pointing fingers at us and saying that we are hindering anything – no – said Michał Kobosko in the "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program on TVN24. - Our narrative is very short: reckoning – yes, but you won't win elections with reckoning, including the presidential elections next year – he added.

09:24

Exclusion from Protection Makes Budget Building a Real Problem: Nawrocki on Energy Costs
- We know what period we are in, the energy crises that affect the functioning of important family businesses. The exclusion of entrepreneurs from statutory protection, from budget protection, makes building the budget in 2025 [...] a real problem - said Karol Nawrocki at a press briefing. - The rising electricity prices, which are certainly reaching you in your bills, are unfortunately not the end, especially for entrepreneurs, because households are covered by the act, and unfortunately, entrepreneurs, ladies and gentlemen, have been excluded from the protective act - he continued.

09:29

Nawrocki:

We Are Struggling with Eco-Terrorism
- We are also struggling with a form of eco-terrorism, unfortunately emanating from Brussels, partly due to the Green Deal. Of course, I am a great supporter of environmental protection, but implementing certain ecological clichés that go against sustainable development, including in forestry, leads, for instance, to the exclusion of 17% of state forest territories precisely from this forestry sector - said Karol Nawrocki at a press briefing. - How does this affect carpentry plants? Less and less raw material, more expensive raw material, more expensive production, more expensive prices. I would like the future citizen president of the Republic of Poland to care about environmental protection [...] but when protecting the environment, also to consider the interests of Polish entrepreneurs, the interests of Polish taxpayers, the interests of households, local governments, and all businesses - he continued.

09:58

Nawrocki Appeals to Fellow Politicians: "I'd Like to Appeal to You, Dear Politicians"

- As a civic candidate for president, I wanted to appeal to politicians. As you know, I am not a politician, I am not a member of any party. I'd like to appeal to you, dear politicians, especially those in the current government, to all members, including those of the ruling party, and to my rival candidate, the Vice-Chairman of KO, Rafał Trzaskowski - stated Karol Nawrocki at a press briefing.

- Of course, geopolitics and strategy are very important, but perhaps certain spasmodic speeches from the parliamentary podium, such emotional quarrels in the Polish parliament, are not entirely necessary. We, as citizens, would prefer to avoid this, but I would like you, dear politicians, representatives of the Polish government, to remember that your decisions or directives from the EU, your ideological, party, and political quarrels, always ultimately meet in Kobyłka and other towns as decisions that impact the functioning of both households and workplaces, such as the Stefański family's business - he continued.

- Let's think about citizens when implementing and developing Polish law. Polish entrepreneurs, Poles have the right to live in prosperity, to earn well, and all transformations and reforms in Poland should be viewed by politicians through the prism of these citizens - he emphasized.

10:12

Head of PL2050 Club: I Will Vote Against Lifting Immunity for Tearing a Wreath

- Personally, I will vote against lifting immunity when it comes to tearing a wreath, because I believe we don't want revenge, we don't want a spectacle, we want genuine accountability. For serious crimes, for theft, not for tearing a wreath in a square in Warsaw – stated Paweł Śliz at a press briefing in the Sejm.

10:39

Sikorski Announces Boycott of Lavrov's Speech:

I Will Not Listen to Lies in Silence.

- Today, Russia respects neither borders nor human rights. Sergey Lavrov has come here to lie about Russian aggression in Ukraine, and therefore I will not listen to these lies in silence – stated Sergey Lavrov in a conversation with journalists in Malta.

- Russia should either start respecting OSCE principles or be excluded from this organization. This is a very controversial matter [the invitation for Lavrov], and I believe I will not be the only member of this assembly who will boycott Lavrov's speech – he continued.

11:15

Tusk:

Poland's EU Presidency Will Be Defined by Actions and Debate on Broadly Defined Security
Europe still has a chance to be the safest, most stable place on Earth, and we have truly a lot of work ahead of us, profound corrections to our current ways of operating, but I am convinced that we will find common ground where it is necessary - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a meeting with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. - Poland's presidency will be defined by actions, a very serious debate concerning primarily broadly defined security - he continued.

11:19

Tusk:

We must not repeat the mistakes of the 20th century's political blind men
We are currently living in a pre-war era, at a time when we are facing great global instability. The conflict in Ukraine, in the Gaza Strip, in Georgia, Syria, South Korea, but we are also facing our own internal political crises, a parliamentary crisis in France, in Germany, in January and February the so-called elections will be held in Belarus, this can also be a source of problems, of course, the change in the White House – it is still difficult to predict the political consequences of these changes, and unfortunately, this list is not exhaustive – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a meeting with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. Europe needs a sense of responsibility, predictability, but also a good understanding of the emerging threats. We must not repeat the mistakes made in the 20th century by political blind men, who led the world to the brink of catastrophe [KPRM simultaneous translation] – he continued.

11:30

Kosiniak-Kamysz Asked About Kaczyński’s Immunity:

The Discussion Is Yet to Come.

- We will discuss this matter [the vote on Jarosław Kaczyński’s immunity] at the club meeting, which the Marshal, meaning the parliamentary club leader of PSL-Trzecia Droga, has scheduled for today. So, this discussion is still ahead of us – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with journalists.

12:30

Tusk:

Europe Must Be More Selfish Towards Its Opponents
- The focus was on the plans of the Polish presidency in the context of such significant challenges as the Ukrainian-Russian war, political destabilization around and within Europe, new geopolitical challenges arising from various events, not always dependent on us, political crises [...] in the largest EU member states - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a statement after a meeting with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. - Events in Georgia, South Korea, Syria, Gaza [...] the upcoming so-called presidential elections in Belarus in a few weeks, yes, all this shows us in what a difficult, what a critical historical moment we will be cooperating for a secure Europe - he continued. - There were different views, different voices, but we all appreciate the significance of these priorities facing Europe, or that Europe shares, that the majority of participants in this meeting share, and which will be the priorities of the Polish presidency. So, security in many dimensions, energy [...], protection of various groups of our citizens, fair competition, in which Europe truly has a chance to win against anyone in the world - he went on to say. - But this also sometimes requires assertiveness. Europe must be more selfish, united internally, and more selfish towards its opponents or adversaries. I am convinced that we will find an agreement here - he added.

12:39

Tusk on border protection:

I, along with my ministers, will find many arguments to convince everyone in Europe.
- I am also pleased that there are fewer and fewer opponents to the idea that defending borders, territory, and controlling our European and national borders is becoming a shared way of thinking. Not everyone is enthusiastic about Polish initiatives, such as the possibility of temporarily suspending the right to asylum [...] I am aware that this evokes emotions in some, which was also confirmed in today's meeting - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in a statement after a meeting with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. - I just want to confirm that Poland will certainly pursue a tough policy at the national level here, but I think that together with my ministers, I will also find a great many arguments to convince everyone in Europe that effective border protection against illegal migration, instrumentally used by regimes such as Belarusian and Russian, is something that is shared and we don't have to argue about it. I hope I will convince everyone to this way of thinking - he continued.

12:45

Tusk on the Pace of Settlements:

It's Not About Any Coalition Parties.
- I am impressed by this debate on the pace of settlements regarding corruption, common crimes, and abuse of power, and I have expressed that. Yes, I am not entirely satisfied with the pace and intensity of actions, and it's not about any coalition parties; we are all responsible for this – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a statement after meeting with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. - I expect, above all, from my officials and services to act here with greater determination and energy, and this applies to the entire state, but also to political leaders. [...] Even if the pace is unsatisfactory, I will certainly not let this issue go – he continued.

12:49

An Element of the Dirty Campaign Announced by PO Politicians. Szefernaker on the "Attempt to Link Nawrocki with a Detained Man"

- Everyone who commits a crime should be judged, but the attempt to link Karol Nawrocki with the man detained today is nothing more than an element of the dirty election campaign, repeatedly announced by PO politicians. We all see that they will stop at nothing and will use services and every deceitful method to try to discredit a civic candidate for president who is gaining increasing sympathy from Poles - wrote Paweł Szefernaker on social media.

12:52

CBA in Lux Veritatis Foundation Facilities. Tusk: No Sacred Cows
- One of these types of actions is, for example, today's operation at the request of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Rzeszów, in locations where Tadeusz Rydzyk conducts his interests. As we have said, there can be no sacred cows. Wherever there is suspicion of a crime, abuse, or misuse of public funds, we will act there – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a statement following a meeting with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. - Faster, slower, stronger, less efficiently, but we will definitely act, and I will also ensure that no one here capitulates – he continued.

12:56

"We Will Continue to Act in a Way That Shows They Have Something to Fear." Tusk on "Aggressive PiS Politicians"
- These PiS politicians who today give the impression of being aggressive and offensive, they are merely an illustration of a well-known principle: aggression is an expression of weakness and fear. We will continue to act in a way that shows they indeed have something to fear, and you [the public] have nothing to fear - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a statement following a meeting with the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.

14:39

Morawiecki:

The Adopted Budget Amendment Best Shows the Government Does Not Control the State's Financial Situation

The debt has spiraled out of the government's control. What's more, the government is quite freely planning to lead us to a level exceeding, for the first time in the Third Polish Republic since the introduction of reforms, the 60% threshold – stated Mateusz Morawiecki at the Working Group for Poland.

The adopted budget amendment best shows that the government does not actually control the state's financial situation, because in the original budget act for 2024, the deficit was supposed to be 164 billion zlotys. I also recall, by the way, that the Minister of Finance shifted at least a dozen billion zlotys to the year 2024 – he added.

14:40

Morawiecki:

Such a Huge Deficit Can Only Be Justified by the Government Anticipating Further Cataclysms This Year

- Such a huge deficit can be justified by one assumption: that the government may be anticipating some further cataclysms this year, because even this deficit, which emerged after the amendment, is unlikely to be realized. That is my opinion, unless it is also part of the implementation of a certain plan related to 2025 – said Mateusz Morawiecki at the Labor for Poland Team.

15:31

Glapiński:

MPC will decide on interest rate cuts when data shows inflation decline is starting

- The [Monetary Policy Council] will certainly move to debate, if not a decision, at the moment when, I repeat, when inflation stabilizes. When the level of inflation, the level of price increases stabilizes. When it stabilizes and no longer rises, and from projections, from forecasts, from econometric models it will be evident that the process of inflation decline is beginning. Then there will be a debate: do we cut now, do we cut soon, or in a month – stated Adam Glapiński at the NBP press conference.

15:35

"End of 2026'. Glapiński on Achieving Inflation Target
- Of course [...] this act and this freeze for three quarters next year also shifts the deadline for ultimately reaching the inflation target. It remains within 2026, but shifts it to the end of 2026, by about half a year, everything changes - stated Adam Glapiński at the NBP press conference.

16:00

Glapiński:

Inflation Will Likely Exceed 5% in Coming Quarters
- Inflation has increased, it is currently twice as high as the inflation target, mainly due to tax increases, other regulatory factors, and the unfreezing of energy prices; without these, we wouldn't have inflation - said Adam Glapiński at the NBP press conference. - In the coming quarters, inflation will most likely exceed 5% [...] in the second half of next year, there will be an increase in electricity bills for households, which will again boost inflation - he continued.

16:05

Glapiński:

State Financial Policy is Loose, Inflation-Friendly

- The state's financial policy, the projected budget policy, is a loose policy. It's a policy that, in a way, favors inflation, but of course, at some point, it will have to be reversed. It will have to tighten the financial situation; tightening means prices must rise, taxes must rise, and the outflow of money must be curbed – said Adam Glapiński at the NBP press conference.

- Therefore, if the bill in the version adopted by the Sejm enters into force, which is probable, or if the changes are minor, inflation in the first half of next year will be around 5%. This is still twice the NBP's inflation target, but in the fourth quarter of 2025, it will start to rise sharply again – he continued.

16:16

Hołownia:

This is the moment when our task is to 'Make Europe Great Again'

- We would have to say that this is the moment when our task is to 'Make Europe Great Again', to bring about a situation where Europe truly restarts and becomes the most important player in this part of the world, so that no one has any doubts about our potential for development and for ensuring the security and development of our economies and societies - stated Szymon Hołownia during a press statement with the President of the European Parliament.

16:33

"Every Month Brings New Developments": Bodnar Summarizes Prosecutor's Office Notifications
A Brief Summary Fundusz Sprawiedliwości (Justice Fund) – over a dozen individuals facing charges, including Deputy Ministers M. Woś and M. Romanowski, officials, and some "beneficiaries." RARS Scandal – 8 individuals charged, including the former head of the agency. R. Czarnecki – facing charges (mileage claims). Hater Scandal – 4 judges undergoing immunity waiver procedures. NCBiR (National Centre for Research and Development) – several dozen individuals charged, including former leadership members. Collegium Humanum – several dozen individuals charged, including the former rector. "Watch Scandal" at the Ministry of National Defence (MON) – indictment against 2 individuals. Grenade Launcher at the Police Headquarters (KGP) – charges against the former Chief of the Polish Police. Visa Scandal – charges against 9 individuals, including former Deputy Minister P. Wawrzyk. 6 politicians – R. Wilk, Ł. Mejza, M. Wąsik, M. Kamiński, G. Braun, M. Dworczyk – undergoing immunity waiver procedures. - Hundreds of notifications, dozens of investigations, several investigative teams, intensive cooperation with Sejm Investigative Committees. An immeasurable amount of actions taken. Every month brings new developments. December, as we can see today, will be no exception – wrote Adam Bodnar on social media.

16:34

Ziobro in the Sejm:

We Are Dealing with an Operation to Destroy the Polish State.

- We have, with absolute certainty, over the past long months, been dealing with an operation to destroy the Polish state. A brutal, ostentatious, arrogant demonstration by representatives of the ruling camp that they stand above the law – stated Zbigniew Ziobro in the Sejm.

16:36

Ziobro:

We Cannot Agree to Ostentatious, Flagrant, Arrogant, Brutal Violation of the Rule of Law

- All of this and many other examples show that we cannot agree to the ostentatious, flagrant, arrogant, brutal violation of the principles of the rule of law, the democratic rule of law - stated Zbigniew Ziobro in the Sejm.

16:42

Ziobro Proposes Re-establishing the Pegasus Commission to the Coalition:

I'd Really Like to Testify.

- I am keenly interested in appearing before it. I would really like to testify before the Pegasus investigative committee. I was even pleased that it was established. Because I would have a great deal of good to say about what I did for the security of Poles, for raising the security of Poles - stated Zbigniew Ziobro in the Sejm.

- All it takes is for the ruling coalition to make a minor, small gesture. To admit that the resolution to establish the Pegasus investigative committee was adopted contrary to the Polish Constitution, in an improper procedure, and to re-enact, with our support, an almost twin commission regarding its scope, with the exception of certain details, an investigative committee for Pegasus, which would include the interrogation of, among others, politicians, which is obvious, including Zbigniew Ziobro - he continued.

17:03

Sejm to Not Vote on Kaczyński's Immunity Today

One of the political topics of the day is the dispute within the coalition regarding the vote on Jarosław Kaczyński's immunity. In reality, there are two votes in question – one concerning the motion from the Chief of Police, and the second – from a private prosecutor.

Regardless – these motions will not be voted on today anyway. First, the Sejm must hear the committees' reports, and these items were not and are not on the agenda for today's session. Only a few-hour block of votes is scheduled for tomorrow, meaning the earliest possible date is the next session on December 18-20.

17:12

Mejza to Bodnar:

I'll Gladly Meet Your Prosecution in Court, I'm Convinced I'll Knock It Out.

- I will be the first to expose these criminal standards and the execution of political orders you employ, and I will gladly meet your prosecution in court, and I am convinced that I will win this fight, in fact, I will knock out this prosecution – stated Łukasz Mejza in the Sejm.

17:13

Mejza:

I Understand That the Name Mejza Looks Good on TVN's Yellow Bar, but Immunity Should Be Lifted for Specific Actions

We should lift immunity not for a name, but for specific actions. I understand that the name of one of the most recognizable MPs on the right side of the political scene looks good on TVN's yellow bar with the inscription: Mejza with 11 charges – said Łukasz Mejza in the Sejm.

What do you really want to cover up with this action? I understand that we have pervasive inflation, I understand that we have a collapse of the healthcare system. I understand that we have a record deficit, a record public debt. However, ladies and gentlemen, I see only three options through which such bizarre, such absurd charges, because me standing here is truly one of the biggest absurdities in the history of this chamber – he continued.

"I Would Never Agree to Such a Scandalous Agreement."Morawiecki Criticizes Tusk, Writes About the 'EU Stooge'"

- Effectiveness and fighting for the good of Poles matter in politics, not clowning around on social media or during appearances – Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on social media.

- As Prime Minister, I would never agree to such a scandalous agreement as the European Commission is currently making! It is a serious threat to Polish agriculture – he emphasized.

- Unfortunately, the current government is taking no action. But what's surprising, when an EU stooge is at its helm... – he added.

Sroka:

Ziobro is playing games and cynically deceiving, he's not appearing before the commission because he's afraid

- Zbigniew Ziobro is playing games and cynically deceiving the state, because if he wanted to, he would appear before our commission and testify. He is not appearing because he is afraid, and that is the only reason – stated Magdalena Sroka at a press conference.

17:55

Sroka:

Bringing Ziobro to the Commission Is Not a Verdict; Everyone Is Equal Before the Law
Everyone is equal before the law; the lifting of immunity in the case of detaining and bringing Zbigniew Ziobro before the Pegasus Committee is not a verdict. It is a compulsion to give testimony before the investigative committee, which was established by the votes of the entire parliament. A committee that is functioning and will continue to function, consistently implementing regulations. We will strive to ensure that every summoned witness appears before the committee and answers the questions we ask – stated Magdalena Sroka at a press conference.

Sroka on Expert Opinions:

Ziobro Could Have Appeared at the 3rd and 4th Summons in Excellent Condition.

- Mr. Zbigniew Ziobro spoke about the medical certificates he submitted when he was summoned twice, that was the first and second time. At that time, Zbigniew Ziobro indeed presented medical certificates which we accepted – said Magdalena Sroka at a press conference.

- The next two summonses occurred only after we received the expert opinions. Opinions which, as it turns out, were accurate. Zbigniew Ziobro, in excellent condition, could have appeared at the 3rd and 4th summonses that we sent him, but he did not. Today, they are hiding behind the ruling of Julia Przyłębska's tribunal because they fear responsibility – she continued.

The next stage will be a public hearing of the candidates. - The final choice of the Prosecutor General will be made by the Sejm with an absolute majority of votes, with the consent of the Senate - he stated. - A Social Council will be established under the Prosecutor General, which will serve an advisory role. Is Destroying a Plaque Too Trivial a Matter to Revoke Kaczyński's Immunity? Schetyna: I Don't Understand This Argumentation
- If [...] there is a vote on Jarosław Kaczyński's immunity, the question is whether we will maintain the coalition's cohesion and whether everyone will vote to lift this immunity, or if they will look for justifications and explanations, as I've been hearing in recent hours – Grzegorz Schetyna said in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the program "Gość Radia ZET". - I don't understand this argumentation [that voting to revoke immunity for destroying a plaque is pointless] [...] of course, I would also like Jarosław Kaczyński to be held accountable for breaking the law or for things he has actually done, for instigating many matters; this is a question of ongoing proceedings and all that state institutions must be equipped with to present concrete charges – he continued. - Here and now, there is a concrete case. One cannot say: no, no, no, we are not voting here to take away Kaczyński's immunity, we don't want him to answer for these brawls under the Smoleńsk monument, we are just waiting for something serious. This is unserious – he went on to say.

Schetyna on Settling Scores with PiS:

If Someone Isn't Delivering, It's the Services and the Prosecution.
- I don't know who Prime Minister Tusk was addressing that to, but it is definitely stated in that tweet that the pace is not sufficient – said Grzegorz Schetyna on Radio ZET.

- If someone isn't delivering or isn't meeting the expectations of the ongoing proceedings, then I understand that it is the services and the prosecution – he continued.

19:00

Schetyna:

I Don't Think This is Accidental. PiS Candidate for President Will Change, a Search is Underway
- It looks like Kaczyński is somewhat testing Nawrocki as a candidate [...] because there's simply an onslaught prepared for him and he's being subjected to it [...] I find it unbelievable that someone not from the front lines is subjected to such an assault - Grzegorz Schetyna said on Radio ZET. - These are very serious matters for someone who is supposed to garner over 10 million votes, who has half a year of campaigning ahead of them; these are very serious accusations. [...] I'm surprised Kaczyński made such a decision, and it seems to me there's no accident here, as if he were simply considering the possibility of changing this candidacy, finding someone else - he continued. - I have an overwhelming feeling that Kaczyński fears the candidacy of MP Czarek, fears the candidacy of MP Morawiecki, that [...] the most important thing for him is to find a person who, after these presidential elections, will not be a threat to him within PiS - he went on to say. - How can Prime Minister Morawiecki be explained that he won't be the candidate, Minister Czarek [...] because who is a better candidate now, yes, more obvious, more 'PiS-like', with greater chances for a better result? But that's all untrue. That's why I believe a lot will still happen here, and it seems to me that this candidate will change. [...] The search for another candidate within PiS is ongoing - he added.

Depoliticizing State Treasury Companies? Schetyna: In Such Matters, There Are No Party Projects, There Must Be a Coalition Project
- This is a matter of building a majority, primarily a democratic coalition, to pass such a law, and it must be well-thought-out. [...] If one party within the entire coalition starts talking about it and presents it as its project, and not as a coalition project, in such matters, there are no party projects, there must be a project of the October 15 coalition - said Grzegorz Schetyna in Radio ZET, when asked about the blocking of the depoliticizing law for State Treasury companies. - I am in favour of this. [...] We need managers, we need competitions, we need transparency - he continued.

Leszczyna:

It's Not So Easy to Take Someone to Court. First, You Must Prove the Guilt of Those Who Did It
Nobody is sabotaging. It's a different matter, everyone really should get a grip. I understand the impatience of some colleagues, especially newcomers, who would like accountability for the biggest PiS-era crimes, for destroying the state, people, and breaking the law. But when we talk specifically about Jarosław Kaczyński, we all know that he did it, but rather, what he did can be called leading perpetration. It's not so easy to take someone to court. First, you must prove the guilt of those who did it - stated Izabela Leszczyna on TVP Info.

Leszczyna:

I Can't Imagine Any Health Minister Supporting a Lower Health Contribution

- I can't imagine any health minister supporting a lower health contribution. I understand we have electoral commitments, and that's why I prepared a project that contained one decision - stated Izabela Leszczyna on TVP Info.

- I have the word of the Minister of Finance, whom I trust, that the entire shortfall in contributions, both in 2025, amounting to about 1.5 billion, and that which will likely total around 5 billion for 2026, this deficit from the National Health Fund will be covered - she added.

Leszczyna:

No Negotiations with Political Pests

- No negotiations with political pests, with people who destroyed women, Poland, the law, our reputation - stated Izabela Leszczyna on TVP Info.
