Tuesday's Political Agenda: Trzaskowski and Hołownia on the Road, Government Session, First Day of MPC Meeting

At 12:00, the Council of Ministers will address a draft amendment to the so-called flood special act. Ministers will also hear information on the state of preparations for projects included in the 4th and 5th payment requests within the framework of the National Reconstruction and Resilience Plan. Furthermore, the government will consider a draft concerning the issuance of prescriptions for free medicines.

At 17:30, Sejm Marshal Szymon Hołownia will visit Sokołów Podlaski, where he will meet with residents.

At 18:00, a meeting between the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, and the residents of Aleksandrów Łódzki will take place.

Also today, the two-day meeting of the Monetary Policy Council begins.

08:30

Berek on the PiS Motion:

Leszczyna Must Be Defended.

- Minister Leszczyna must be defended because she is a good Minister of Health, she is doing her job well, and I have no doubt that the Sejm will appreciate this and perceive her in this way - stated Maciej Berek in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:32

Czarnek:

There are voices in PiS saying it's good to wait for the PO candidate's announcement, I think it doesn't matter
- I don't know more, I've heard, just like all of you, that [PiS presidential candidate] will be announced in the second half of November at the earliest - said Przemysław Czarnek in the 'Morning Interview' on RMF FM. - There are such voices within Law and Justice saying that it's good to wait for the Civic Platform's candidate to be announced. I am of the opinion that it makes no difference to us whether we announce our candidate at the end of November or on December 8th; it is irrelevant to the results of the presidential elections in Poland - he continued.

08:33

Berek on Changes to the Health Contribution:

We Are Trying to Find a Balance.
Regarding the health contribution, this information is actually being disseminated constantly, and it might need to be clearly communicated once more. Returning to the simple solution that existed before the so-called Polish Deal, or disorder, is very difficult due to the massive budgetary consequences. Consequences for the National Health Fund (NFZ) – stated Maciej Berek in Polsat News's "Graffiti." - We are talking about the fact that the NFZ is short of money, that the NFZ needs to be supported. So, simply saying that we will take tens of billions from the NFZ so that this contribution is as it was before, a few years ago, means nothing else than having to add that money from the state budget. Therefore, what we are trying to do is to find a balance – he continued. As he added: - Currently, it involves taking gradual steps, some might say baby steps, because they are indeed not massive.

08:36

Berek on Changes to Health Contributions:

Today We Will Discuss the Next Step.

- Today at the [government] session, which begins at 12:00 PM, we will discuss the next step. This will be a step that will concern all entrepreneurs. It will provide relief somewhere around the level of one billion zlotys. The Minister of Health and the Minister of Finance will communicate this; details will be presented - stated Maciej Berek on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- It will concern all entrepreneurs, it will provide some small relief, but for everyone - he continued.

08:38

Three Traits of a Good PiS Presidential Candidate. Czarnek: I Have Some Trouble with the Third
- To win the election [...] we need a candidate who will primarily mobilize our electorate, win over the entire right-wing electorate in the second round, but also have the ability to gain the support of that mythical centre, the undecided people - said Przemysław Czarnek on RMF FM. - If someone says I have the first and second traits, then I certainly have some trouble with the third trait. [...] So, the search is on for this candidate who would comprehensively meet all three conditions - he continued.

08:48

Czarnek on Potential Presidential Election Bid:

I Don't Want To, But If Necessary, I'll Take Up the Gauntlet.
- No. However, it's not a matter of wanting to; if the ongoing polls indicate that I should run because I have the best chances, then I will certainly run - Przemysław Czarnek said on RMF FM, when asked if he would like to run for president. - I hope and have the impression that a candidate will be found who meets this third condition [of gaining votes from undecided individuals] better than I do, and I will help that candidate, whoever they may be, to win the presidential election. We'll see what happens; if necessary, I will certainly take up the gauntlet, but if you ask me if I want to, I don't - he continued.

08:49

The Constitutional Tribunal in its current form should not be funded from the budget. Berek suggests cutting off judges' salaries

- If we believe, as the Sejm has stated, that the Constitutional Tribunal has lost the ability to perform its function, then the tribunal, understood as those who sit, who constitute the bench of this tribunal, should not be funded from the state budget - stated Maciej Berek in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- But to be clear, not employees, not building maintenance, not any actions amounting to cutting off oxygen, in the sense that we will slash the budget - he continued.

- However, I believe that the Sejm, which has stated that the Constitutional Tribunal is not functioning because it has lost the ability to perform its tasks, should not be funded by this Sejm, by parliament, in the budget act. This tribunal in the sense of its judicial composition - he added.

08:58

Tomczyk:

All Polls Show Trzaskowski Has the Best Chance to Defeat PiS

- If Rafał Trzaskowski decides to run, he has my full support. That's what Donald Tusk said, and I have exactly the same opinion - stated Cezary Tomczyk in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- The discussion is ongoing, but I will also add, and I think this is very important in this matter, that all polls show that Rafał Trzaskowski has the greatest chance of winning against PiS - he continued.

08:58

Tomczyk:

Many People Believe These Elections Will Be Easier. That's Utter Nonsense

- Many people believe these elections could be easier. I believe that's utter nonsense, because these elections, much like what we're observing in the US elections, will be 50:50 - stated Cezary Tomczyk on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program.

- Here, every vote will matter, and it's not about choosing this candidate or that one. It's about choosing the best, and the best, based on research that we all know and that is available, including regarding undecided voters, is simply Rafał Trzaskowski - the KO politician continued.

08:59

Czarnek on Partnership Unions and the Status of the Next of Kin:

I Am Close to the PSL's Stance
- It is much milder than the draft that Ms. Kotula submitted to the legislative work register as supposedly a government bill without the PSL. The PSL is in the government, and the government does not exist without the PSL, so I would lean towards discussing this direction with the PSL, without equating partnership unions with marriage, because that is my fundamental condition - Przemysław Czarnek said on RMF FM, when asked if he would sign the PSL's draft on the status of the next of kin if he were president. - I really have no reservations, none whatsoever, about making it easier and more efficient for people to visit hospitals and obtain information about their partner, the person with whom they run a household - he continued. - I also have no reservations about facilitating tax settlements for people who run a household together, regardless of whether there are two of them, two men, or five of them, five men, joint tax settlements [...]. Let's talk about it, but let's not equate partnership unions with marriage, because that is contrary to the Constitution [...]. It seems to me that in this regard I am absolutely close to the PSL's position - he went on to say.

09:28

Sasin on when PiS's presidential candidate will be announced:

Likely by the end of November, at the latest around the turn of November and December.
- I think it will be by the end of November, at the latest probably around the turn of November and December - said Jacek Sasin in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia ZET," when asked when the PiS presidential candidate will be announced. - I don't want to make binding declarations on this matter, because we are not slaves to dates [...] we are not waiting for the Platform's candidate [...] we are not underestimating anyone nor am I saying we are not interested, because of course we are interested, as it will be our main competitor [...] we are not choosing a candidate based on the Platform's candidate - he continued.

09:32

Sasin:

One Could Say We Boldly Interpreted Certain Provisions, But We Did Not Break the Constitution
- What we have today is a state of complete constitutional lawlessness. [...] One could say that we boldly interpreted [...] certain constitutional provisions, but we never broke the Constitution. Today, however, we are witnessing an overt violation of the Constitution and, above all, a disregard for institutions that serve as safeguards in a democracy - said Jacek Sasin on Radio ZET.

09:38

Sasin to Hennig-Kloska: 'Get to Work and Convince Tusk to Stop Blocking Nuclear Power Plant Construction'
- She should get to work, Ms. Kloska, instead of spouting her wisdom, because there has truly been too much of that wisdom recently, which has compromised her, and yet she persists. So, let her get to work and convince Tusk, her boss, to stop blocking the construction of nuclear power plants in Poland - Jacek Sasin said on Radio ZET. - This is a matter of being or not being today, if Poles are to receive lower electricity bills [...] and the state is not to contribute from the budget to keep these bills at a socially acceptable level, then we must quickly build nuclear power plants - he continued.

12:10

Szydło Publishes Recording:

Can a Woman Become President of Poland?
- Everyone is asking themselves the questions: Donald Trump or Kamala Harris? Can a woman become president of the United States? Can a woman become president of the Republic of Poland? We shall see - said Beata Szydło in a recording published on social media.

12:42

Significant Financial Resources Needed for Campaign.' Kaczyński Appeals for Donations to PiS

- We must turn to all citizens who are convinced that democracy is a value and who wish to be citizens, not subjects, for support. We have appealed to them before, and I would like to sincerely thank all those who have supported us - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference.

- Thanks to this, we can function in some way at the moment, but our presidential pre-campaign will also begin soon, as a candidate will be selected, and for this pre-campaign, and then the presidential campaign, to be conducted, significant financial resources are needed - the PiS leader continued.

He added: - Therefore, I am making a heartfelt request, an appeal to all citizens for whom the matter of democracy, and indeed the democratic future of Poland, is important, to please support us.

12:48

An Idea to Diminish the Chances of a PiS Candidate in the Elections. Błaszczak on the Non-Payment of Subsidies
- The government of the December 13th coalition is breaking the law. The subsidy, which is due to Law and Justice, has not been paid. Behind this, there is certainly a political idea to diminish the chances of a Law and Justice candidate in next year's presidential elections – stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

12:51

Błaszczak:

I Asked How Trzaskowski's Meeting in Aleksandrów Łódzki is Financed
- Our political competitors have already started their pre-campaigning. Today, for instance, Rafał Trzaskowski, the Mayor of Warsaw, will have a meeting [...] in Aleksandrów Łódzki. Formally, based on the act on the performance of the parliamentary mandate, I have submitted a question to the Office of the Capital City of Warsaw regarding how Rafał Trzaskowski's meeting in Aleksandrów Łódzki is financed, and whether Rafał Trzaskowski, the Mayor of Warsaw, is on leave today, for example - Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference.

12:52

Kaczyński asked about Błaszczak's words:

Naturally, it's a matter for discussion.

- I simply took it as a reminder, using radical language, that Donald Tusk behaved towards President Trump in a way that could be described as provocative - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference.

- This is not in Poland's interest, it is deeply against Poland's interest, and therefore conclusions must be drawn from such things. Should that conclusion be a resignation? Naturally, it's a matter for discussion, but it's a discussion within the camp of our political opponents, not within our ranks - he continued.

12:56

'Perhaps the Prime Minister Knows More Than I Do.' Kaczyński on Sasin's Words

- Perhaps the Prime Minister [Jacek Sasin] knows something more than I do [about the fact that one name, not mentioned in media discussions, was often brought up]. But I think I know the candidates who are being considered, and these are the names that are mentioned in the media, so I wouldn't expand this pool at the moment - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference.

- It seems that those who are being considered have many different advantages that can help win these elections - he continued.

13:05

Kaczyński:

It's clear that one day a woman will become president in Poland
- It is clear that one day a woman will become president in Poland. It's just a question of when, I can't answer when, but I am convinced that it will happen one day - Jarosław Kaczyński said at a press conference. - It wasn't me who stated that a woman is out of the question for the upcoming elections, or rather, she's not out of the question, but the polls simply showed it. I was reporting the results of polls, polls conducted primarily in the provinces, in local Poland - he continued. - If you consider this broad pool of candidates [...] the Prime Minister's name simply wasn't mentioned there - he went on to say.

16:40

Przydacz:

I'm Keeping My Fingers Crossed for the Best Possible Polish-American Relations
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for America's victory in these elections. Absolutely, of course. When Americans make their decision, I will be able to tell you, - stated Marcin Przydacz on PR24. Speaking completely seriously, I am keeping my fingers crossed for the best possible Polish-American relations, because they are in our interest, for our security. I'm not playing the fan or a fortune-teller here, who will predict who will win, - he continued.

16:42

Przydacz:

How Often Did Colleagues from Today's Government Meet with Republicans?

- Please remind me how often your colleagues from today's government met with Republicans? Because yesterday I asked one of the deputy heads of Polish diplomacy how many times he had met with Republicans, and he was unable to tell me about a single meeting - stated Marcin Przydacz on PR24.

16:49

Ziobro Publishes Email to Members of the Inquiry Committee:

Whatever They Do in the Name of the 'Commission' is Illegal and They Will Face Criminal Liability.

- Members of Parliament from the non-existent Pegasus inquiry committee will no longer be able to pretend they didn't know about the illegality of their actions. Yesterday evening, I sent them the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling from 10.09.2024, which removes the committee from the legal framework. Whatever they do in the name of the 'commission' is illegal and they will face criminal liability - wrote Zbigniew Ziobro on social media.

- And if the Sejm, in accordance with the law, appoints a Pegasus inquiry committee – which I call upon the parliamentary majority to do – I will gladly appear before it and give testimony. I would like Poles to learn about all my actions that have increased their security - emphasized the former Minister of Justice.

17:59

in State Treasury Companies:

We didn’t agree to this, it needs to be cut off." Hołownia on "cronyism
- I am not the Prime Minister, I am the Marshal of the Sejm, I am the leader of one of the political groupings that are taking responsibility for Poland today. I also speak openly and clearly about what we have achieved – and we have achieved a few things – and how many things we haven't achieved – because many things we haven't achieved – said Szymon Hołownia during an open meeting in Sokołów Podlaski. - Many things need to be improved, even more than many, in these three subsequent laps. Certain things have not been resolved. Certain standards that we agreed upon have not been met. You hear, you see in the media, how many stories there are about nepotism in State Treasury companies today, political clientelism, cronyism, because that’s probably what it should be called. We didn’t agree to this, it cannot look like this – he emphasized. - This needs to be attempted to be resolved as quickly as possible. Not to talk about it, not to go around the media and say who more, who has two more aunts – but to resolve it, to cut it off – he appealed.

18:21

Hołownia on the governing coalition:

This is a coalition the world has never seen, completely from left to right.
- This is not an ideal coalition. It's not like we just sit down and kiss each other on the beak, where I say “dear Donku,” and Czarzasty pats me on the head and asks where Władek is - said Szymon Hołownia during an open meeting in Sokołów Podlaski. - This is a coalition from Marek Sawicki, whom you know well, to Robert Biedroń. This is a coalition the world has never seen, meaning it's a coalition so completely from left to right that it is really not very easy to steer – he assessed.

18:31

Trzaskowski Declares Intent to Run for President:

I Am Ready and I Will Not Back Down.
- There's no point beating around the bush, as this question keeps coming up: am I ready to run for president? So, I am ready and I will not back down - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a meeting with residents of Aleksandrów Łódzki. - In 2020, I made a certain commitment on behalf of all of you [...]. As soon as my colleagues from Civic Coalition confirm who our candidate will be, I am ready - he continued.

18:34

Hołownia:

We Seem Narratively Obsessed with Chasing PiS, Nothing Else Gets Through
- What we're doing is we're unable to tell the story about it. Because I have the impression - and I'll say it quite directly and honestly - that we are so often narratively fixated on chasing PiS that nothing else gets through, said Szymon Hołownia during an open meeting in Sokołów Podlaski. He also noted: - Do we need to hold accountable those from PiS who stole, who committed blatant fraud, who squandered a lot of money, whose own arrogance ultimately led to their downfall? Of course, we need to hold them accountable, because that's how anyone who did such things should be held accountable. But should this be our program for governing, for moving forward?

18:45

Hołownia:

As a coalition, we lack an information policy. I don't understand why we don't have a government spokesperson
- We don't have a government press spokesperson – I cannot understand why. We, as a coalition, don't actually have an information policy – said Szymon Hołownia during an open meeting in Sokołów Podlaski.

- Judge it as you wish, because we have plenty of failures, our legs stumble, we stumble over them ourselves, this is not an ideal coalition, everything is clear. However, the fact that we don't have a counter-narrative, that we don't go out and say: listen, this has been done, that has been done, this is also done, and that too, and now you judge, weigh how it is – I cannot comprehend that – he emphasized.

- I believe this harms us, because it harms our entire capacity for action – he added.

18:55

Hołownia on the Future of the Third Way:

Will it close after the presidential elections – I don't know.
- For 5 years now, since I've been on the political scene, I've been put into the grave, me and my movement, more or less every week. „It's the end,” „nothing has worked,” „the polls are falling” […]. Somehow we are alive - said Szymon Hołownia during an open meeting in Sokołów Podlaski. - We have our 9% support on our own. There are three years to work and fight for 15%. Whether we will be in the Third Way, or whether the Third Way will close after the presidential elections - I don't know, and I'm also saying this quite honestly - he stated.

18:58

Trzaskowski on Błaszczak's words:

This is the mentality of a lackey, conducting politics on one's knees.
- How can a politician of a sovereign state spout such nonsense? How can one even view international politics in this way? My friends from the United States called me and asked if it was true that a politician from a supposedly serious party [...] is making [...] the future of the government in Poland dependent on elections in another country - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a meeting with residents of Aleksandrów Łódzki. - This shows a mentality from a completely different era. It would never occur to anyone in France, Spain, or Italy to say that the future of their government depends on elections in another state. This is the mentality of a lackey, this is conducting politics on one's knees - he continued. - If Minister Błaszczak negotiated with the Americans in the same way, then, putting aside the fact that it's good he ordered this equipment and that it's arriving in Poland, I fear [...] on what terms - he went on to say.

19:01

in PL2050:

At the Beginning of the Year, It Will Be a Well-Oiled Political Machine." Hołownia on "Tidying Up
- I think that internally within the movement, we are also doing a lot today to rebuild the structures. These are not simple things; we went through three elections simultaneously as a brand new party. So now we are tidying up in the regions, people are leaving, people are coming, this is happening now – said Szymon Hołownia during an open meeting in Sokołów Podlaski. As the leader of Poland 2050 assessed: - I think that at the beginning of the year, it will be a neatly renovated, well-functioning political machine that will be able to – with me or without me – move forward and do things that are simply useful.

19:05

Trzaskowski:

It's Important That the President Isn't Afraid to Tell Chancellor Scholz, for Example, That He's Doing Something Extremely Irresponsible
- It is so important that the president is a serious, predictable person, who can sometimes bite their tongue when they want to say something very controversial, but who is not afraid of strong stances. Who is not afraid, for example, to tell Chancellor Scholz that he is doing something extremely irresponsible, that he is trying to discuss Ukraine's security without the Polish Prime Minister. This shows that Chancellor Scholz has truly learned absolutely nothing over these past few years - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a meeting with residents of Aleksandrów Łódzki.

19:07

Trzaskowski:

After Duda, We Will Need a Predictable, Responsible President
- Today, after Andrzej Duda, we will need a president who is predictable, who is responsible, who steadfastly safeguards national interests, but who also knows when to bite their tongue - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a meeting with residents of Aleksandrów Łódzki.

19:12

Trzaskowski on his potential presidency:

It would be one of my most important priorities.
- What we need to do is restore the rule of law. One thing is certain, the government has ideas on how to do this, it is already doing it, to the extent it can, but the moment there is a president who cares about the rule of law [...] then it will be very quickly possible to restore even greater trust in institutions and to restore the rule of law in Poland - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a meeting with residents of Aleksandrów Łódzki. - This will be one of the most important goals and priorities of a future president from the democratic camp. I am convinced that it would be one of the most important priorities for me - he continued.

19:18

Trzaskowski:

It's Normal for Sikorski to Have Ambitions
- It is normal for different people to have ambitions, that Radek Sikorski has his own ambition; what's important is to focus on what matters most, namely the goal and the contest that will strengthen, truly strengthen democracy in Poland - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a meeting with residents of Aleksandrów Łódzki.

19:47

Trzaskowski on the Lack of Changes to Abortion Law:

A Giant Burden of Conscience.
- This is a giant burden of conscience that we haven't managed to change the abortion law, I hope it will be achieved in this Sejm. But I believe that this pressure and a new president are crucial here, because I know that very many people are hiding in the president's shadow - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a meeting with residents of Aleksandrów Łódzki. - Some say: why should I make this kind of decision if the president will veto any change anyway - he continued.

19:53

Trzaskowski:

The Most Important Thing is for the President to be Independent
- The most important thing is to balance how much the president should cooperate with the government, because that is an absolutely fundamental issue, but also how much the president should be truly independent – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a meeting with residents of Aleksandrów Łódzki. - The biggest problem with Andrzej Duda [...] is that Andrzej Duda did not manage to be independent. Even when he sometimes tried, he would then retreat two steps in fear, immediately after seeing what he had done, that he had momentarily asserted a bit of independence – he continued. - The most important thing is for the president to be independent. The most important thing is for the president to be the president of [...] citizens, not political parties. The most important thing is for the president to have a slightly different perspective on their actions – he went on to say.

19:57

Trzaskowski:

No Cross Has Ever Been Removed in Warsaw
- If I was asked many times whether a priest should come and bless a room that is being opened, or whether a cross should be hung in a new place where citizens are served, I said: no, because these are places that should be neutral – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a meeting with residents of Aleksandrów Łódzki. - No cross has ever been removed in Warsaw. No cross was removed, because there was no need to remove any crosses, as they simply were not hanging in those spaces. This is a decision made for the future – he continued.

20:03

Government Decision on Health Contribution Changes Nears. Date Revealed
- The final discussion and decision on changes to the health contribution will take place at the Council of Ministers meeting on November 12th - announced Maciej Berek on social media. - This will be a change beneficial to entrepreneurs and feasible for the budget to absorb (the reduction in NFZ revenue from the contribution must be compensated by budget funds) - explained the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers.

20:06

Schetyna on Harris Taking the Initiative:

A Lot Will Depend on Turnout.

- Everything is just beginning; these hours will be decisive, and in truth, we might not know who became the US President in the morning. That is also possible - stated Grzegorz Schetyna on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

- Who will win - I said it would be close to a tie, that's how it seems to me, but I think a lot will depend on the turnout, that's also obvious. These last few days show that Kamila Harris is taking the initiative - he continued.

20:18

Schetyna:

The Days of a Polish President Standing to Sign a Document Initialed by a Seated US President Are Over

- The days of a Polish president standing to sign a document initialed by a US president, who is sitting behind a desk and handing it to him for signature, are over - stated Grzegorz Schetyna on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" program.

- This will never happen again. Poland has a place in foreign and global policy, and this is evident today. I believe that every US president, whoever they may be, must respect Poland's position in Europe - he continued.

20:29

Bosacki:

Knowing Trump's determination and his supporters' fanaticism, I fear we might see a repeat of January 6th
- Knowing Donald Trump's determination to sit in the White House again, and the determination – not to say fanaticism – of his supporters, I fear that we may unfortunately be facing attempts to repeat what happened 4 years ago, on January 6th, outside and inside the Capitol in Washington – said Marcin Bosacki in an interview with Dorota Wysocka-Schnepf on TVP Info's 'Question of the Day'. - Unfortunately, American democracy is as divided and polarized as it is in… probably many European countries, but indeed, it is here too – he assessed.

20:44

Bosacki on Błaszczak's Words:

They Show His Colonial Temperament.
- With some hope and satisfaction, I note that today Jarosław Kaczyński has, in a way, disavowed the words of Mariusz Błaszczak, which are scandalous. Because they show Mr. Błaszczak's colonial temperament, meaning that if something happens with our greatest ally, it should have an influence on the Polish government - said Marcin Bosacki in "Question of the Day" on TVP Info. - Well, no - the Polish government is chosen by Poles, only Poles, and no elections in any other country should have any influence on it - he stressed.

21:02

Bosacki Compares PiS's Campaign Strategy to Trump's:

Totalitarian
- I think that PiS already in the 2020 campaign, against Rafał Trzaskowski, used an arsenal that can be used again next year. […] PiS has a tendency to conduct election campaigns in a totalitarian manner, disregarding facts and good customs, attacking as fiercely as Donald Trump actually attacks in the United States - said Marcin Bosacki on TVP Info's "Question of the Day".

21:49

Bosak on Błaszczak's Words Regarding Government Resignation After Trump's Victory:

A Very Foolish Idea.

- No, absolutely not. I believe it is a very foolish idea to make the continuity of power in Poland dependent on any foreign factor. I am certain that if a similar view were expressed by someone from Civic Platform during PiS's time in power, it would undoubtedly be called treason, serving foreign interests, and so on, and in that criticism, they would have been right – stated Krzysztof Bosak in a conversation with Renata Grochal and Aleksandra Pawlicka on TVP Info's "Political Triangle".

21:52

Trump:

Let's Distinguish Rhetoric from Deeds." Bosak on Czarnek as the "Polish
Let's distinguish rhetoric from the deeds of Law and Justice [in response to Czarnek being the "Polish" Trump]. In his rhetoric, he was politically incorrect, conservative, and patriotic on many issues. However, deeds count. For example, let's take the issue of so-called transgenderism. Trump strongly contests these things, while Biden and Harris push them forward. When did Polish legislation change regarding the doctor's role in determining whether gender reassignment should be performed for a minor? Under PiS. On what basis? On the basis of WHO rules. This was done completely quietly – said Krzysztof Bosak on TVP Info.

21:54

Bosak on Abortion Law in Poland:

Public Indecency Justifies Killing a Conceived Child.

- First, I would speak about liberalization, because broader guarantees of rights, including the right to life, are not an tightening, and I believe this rhetoric is unjustified. The liberal model is one where individuals have their rights, and undoubtedly, according to the Polish constitution, every individual has the right to life; Polish law recognizes unborn children – stated Krzysztof Bosak on TVP Info.

- I know what our current legislation is. It allows for the legal killing of a child conceived as a result of a prohibited act. We have several such prohibited acts; it's a little-known fact that public indecency is a prohibited act, which later also justifies legally killing the child. For me, these are absurd things; I believe the guarantee of the right to life should not be dependent on the circumstances of conception – he continued.
