- No, [I will not sign the bill on decriminalizing assisting in abortions], because for me, abortion is killing people. For me, it is, unfortunately, simply depriving people of life. One thing is certain – women who are pregnant, if they were to undergo an abortion, should not be punished in any way, because a woman is in a special situation here, such things should not be done. However, other persons who would somehow participate in this procedure illegally, their penalization is an entirely different matter – stated President Andrzej Duda on TVN24.
