"We have just submitted to the Marshal of the Sejm a bill on the Polish Defense Investment Fund, authored by the Polish People's Party parliamentary club, which corrects the errors in the presidential project," Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced at a press conference.

"We have modified several areas in this submission and are presenting it as a parliamentary initiative [...]. We have broadened the scope of entities covered by the fund's activities, paying significant attention to services such as the Police and the Border Guard," he continued.

"The composition of the steering committee and the council that approves the program has also changed. Naturally, there is a representative of the President, but there is also a representative of the Prime Minister, which was not the case before. The government holds authority in this area within this fund, and this is constitutionally compliant [...]. The government makes decisions on where these funds will be allocated, and this is precisely guaranteed in this bill," he elaborated.

"I have spoken with Marshal Czarzasty. Of course, he will subject the project to his analysis, but I thank the Marshal for his goodwill and openness. I would like this project to be processed as quickly as possible in the committees and on the plenary floor," he added.
