Friday's Political Agenda: Immunity Votes in the Sejm, Tusk Continues in Brussels, Siemoniak's Conference at Okęcie

At 9:05 AM – immediately after the parliamentary oaths – a block of votes will begin in the Sejm, during which decisions will be made on revoking parliamentary immunities, including that of Michał Woś. Also planned are the government's draft amendment to the Copyright Law and the supplementary election to the composition of the inquiry committee on envelope elections. The block, according to the schedule, will conclude at 10:45 AM.

At 9:30 AM, a working session of the European Council will take place in Brussels, with Prime Minister Donald Tusk participating.

At 11:30 AM, a press conference will be held at Warsaw Chopin Airport with the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Tomasz Siemoniak, and the Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administration, Tomasz Szymański. The topic will be the launch of additional points for issuing temporary passports at airports.

At 12:15 PM in the Sejm, the report of the Minister of the Interior and Administration on the implementation in 2023 of the Act of March 24, 1920, on the acquisition of real estate by foreigners, along with the committee's position, will commence.

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Changes to Health Contributions:

We'll Likely Modify Petru's Idea.

- We'll likely modify Ryszard Petru's idea. I would lean in that direction. It can be done in various ways, it can be introduced in several stages, we can start with those who have the hardest time in this regard, meaning entrepreneurs. This can be done skillfully. Or perhaps we will submit our own project, so that several projects meet in the committee and the best one emerges. This decision is before us, but I believe that of the questions I am asked, this is the most frequently asked by employees and entrepreneurs: when will the health contribution be lower – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in “Sygnały dnia” PR1.

07:34

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Civil Partnerships:

No One Should Be Surprised by the PSL's Stance.

- No one should be surprised by the PSL's stance. We've said it from the beginning, we've been saying it for years; at our party, everyone decides individually on this matter, and nothing has changed in this regard. I've also spoken about my views on this issue, and here too, no one can be surprised. I believe that respect for views, a phrase often used on the left as tolerance, is a task and a two-way value, not only for one's own views but also for differing ones. We are conducting a dialogue; this is how we differ from our predecessors – we talk, even when we have different positions. We say it directly – making life easier, yes. The issue of equating homosexual unions with the status of marriage or civil partnerships with the status of marriage, because this also concerns heterosexual unions – no. And adopting children – no. This is my position, and the position of the majority of PSL parliamentarians after our discussions – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in PR1's "Sygnały dnia".

07:36

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Civil Partnerships:

A Decision from the Coalition Leaders is Needed.

- This is not covered by the coalition agreement, so after these substantive discussions between Minister Kotula and MP Pasławska, a decision from the coalition leaders is needed regarding what the project should be, whether it's a government or a parliamentary one. Any variant is good - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

07:43

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We Will Cooperate With Any US President

- Americans will decide, we will cooperate with any US president, as a government, with any US president elected by Americans, and that is a principle we adhere to. Our predecessors approached this differently, they had their favorites, and sometimes it ended badly for them - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

07:53

Kosiniak-Kamysz Asked About Common Presidential Candidate: 'If Colleagues from Civic Platform and The Left Wanted to Accept Hołownia - I See No Objections'
'If colleagues from Civic Platform and The Left here would like to accept Szymon Hołownia as their candidate, I see no objections' - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in 'Sygnały dnia' on PR1. 'Openness always. If colleagues from Civic Platform and The Left decided that Szymon Hołownia could represent them, we would be very happy' - he continued.

07:58

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Is it possible to form a coalition without 64 MPs? I don't see such a coalition.

- Did we do that after the local elections? We said: we have 14, and Lewica dropped from 8 or 9 to 6, did we want some kind of reconstruction? Has anything changed? Has the parliamentary configuration changed due to the European elections? I don't see it. 64 MPs in Trzecia Droga remain. Is it possible to form a coalition without 64 MPs? I don't see such a coalition. It would be foolish if someone [proposed] something like that, and after all, Platforma is a very sensible formation, they would never say such a foolish thing [that the balance of power in the coalition needs to change after the elections] - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

08:13

Accountability Process Should Take Place Within the Current Prosecution Structure. Bodnar Responds to Giertych's Proposals
- I believe that the accountability process should take place within the current prosecution structure, utilizing all those individuals who believe in the power of law, believe that the prosecution can be involved in such matters, and that it is important from the perspective of democratic quality. In my opinion, creating some special departments or special units somewhat suggests a lack of full understanding of how the prosecution operates on a daily basis, how demanding this work is. That's why, for example, I focused on something completely different, something not noticed in this proposal, such as establishing investigative teams - said Adam Bodnar in "Poranek TOK FM," when asked whether a special group or prosecution office for accountability is needed.

08:19

Berek on Partnership Unions: Kotula Adopted a Good Tactic. The Tactic of Doing What's Realistic is Good
- This discussion within the coalition, within our governmental setup, regarding whether such a bill [on partnership unions] should be a government bill, what its shape and content should be, has been ongoing for a long time. It's no secret that the PSL set certain boundaries here, and had doubts about the project in general - said Maciej Berek in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden" program. - I think Katarzyna Kotula adopted a very good tactic. She adopted a tactic to succeed in introducing this institution into our legal system. […] Yes, these are very important elements [symbolic elements like a ceremony or a shared surname], certainly for many people - he continued. - But I think that if you were to ask people living in these types of unions, relationships – and Minister Kotula met with these communities very often – what is more important to you: to have a law that will resolve legal problems, such as access to health information, the possibility of childcare, tax issues, even at the cost of not having the ceremony at this stage? What do you prefer – to have no solution, or to have, as you say, a scaled-down one? I think all these people will say: we prefer to start with what is available - he stated. - I think the tactic: "let's do what is realistic, let's get a majority for this project" and the tactic: "this should be a government bill, through which the government will show that it is ready to introduce these modern, expected solutions" is a good tactic. Even if it comes at a certain cost, perhaps not fulfilling all expectations, let it at least fulfill the basic ones - he added.

08:19

Investigative Team to Present Motions to Lift Immunity of 4 Judges in "Hate Speech Scandal". Bodnar Names Them
- This will happen today, and I believe it's a rather groundbreaking moment. Some time ago, I appointed an investigative team within the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Wrocław [...] which today will present 4 motions to lift the immunity of 4 judges who were involved in the so-called "hate speech scandal" within the Ministry of Justice. These motions will be filed with the Supreme Court today - said Adam Bodnar on TOK FM. - We are talking about quite publicly known individuals: Łukasz Piebiak, Jakub Iwaniec, Arkadiusz Cichocki, and Przemysław Radzik - he continued.

08:27

Berek on Provisions Regarding Childcare in the Civil Partnerships Bill:

A Package of Solutions Will Be Introduced.
- It concerns very fundamental, everyday matters. It concerns the fact that if partners are raising a child of one of them together, then currently, in order to give consent for a school trip, for the child to return home from school alone, such ordinary daily matters, the partner who is not formally the parent of this child cannot give such consent; they are treated by law as a stranger - Maciej Berek said in the program "Jeden na jeden" on TVN24. - If a child ends up in hospital, or an accident happens at school, and a decision needs to be made for an operation – today, someone who lives with the child daily, takes care of them, is like a parent to them, is legally considered a stranger - he pointed out. - This is what these types of elements are about. It's not about what we call adoption or legal guardianship, about creating a full legal relationship. It's about ensuring that people who form a de facto family can be recognized by the law in this way. And such a package of solutions, because it primarily concerns matters from the areas of medicine, education, and tax law, will be included in this act - he continued.

08:27

Bodnar on Soldiers' Use of Firearms:

I Believe Doubts About This Law Stem From a Misunderstanding of What's Happening at the Border.
- I had a hand in ensuring that some of the most controversial provisions were removed from the draft as part of this self-amendment, so they wouldn't be included - Adam Bodnar said on TOK FM. - I believe that, among other things, this law, and certain doubts concerning it, stem from a certain misunderstanding of what is happening at the border. [...] We have a situation where there are days when 100, 150, 200 people a day simultaneously attempt to cross the border - he continued.

08:39

Berek on Partnership Unions: The Intention is to Enable Joint Tax Settlements
- Such is the intention, to enable tax settlements, which will be preferential […]. This is not about creating a solution that someone might want to abuse, but rather to tell people: if you live together and meet the conditions that are significant from the perspective of tax law, then you can settle on the principle that you function together, you form a household together, a family - you can settle on the same terms - said Maciej Berek in "Jeden na jeden" on TVN24.

08:45

When Can the Partnership Bill Reach the Sejm? Berek Gives a Timeline
- I think it will be the post-holiday period, shortly after. Because the work in the formal sense has started now. In reality, we are now beginning this work, we need about a month to conduct consultations, and a second month to go through government procedures - Maciej Berek said on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden". - So I would expect that after the holidays in the school sense, meaning around September, or probably exactly in September, this project [on partnership unions] has a chance to appear in the Sejm - he assessed.

09:41

Hołownia on Partnership Unions: Suggesting They Should Be Registered with a Notary, Not the Civil Registry Office, Is Unnecessary Humiliation and Infliction of Suffering
- Suggesting that these individuals should go to a notary to formalize such unions, rather than to the civil registry office, which is competently assigned to such matters, is some sort of unnecessary humiliation, an infliction of suffering, or an attempt to take away their joy – said Szymon Hołownia in an interview with Grzegorz Osiecki on PR1's "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day). - This proposal presented by Minister Kotula does not involve a narrative of any ceremony. It's about submitting documents at a window and collecting them from a window. I don't know what problem one could have with that – he added.

09:45

Hołownia on Civil Partnerships: Let Something Finally Happen on This Matter, Let's Take the First Step
- Let something finally happen on this matter. Of course, yes [a better minimal version than none]. We've been talking about civil partnerships for twenty years. Everyone talks: the left, the right, everyone – and no one has done anything about it. Let's take the first step. The President, knowing him, will most likely try to veto it using some argumentation that is not entirely clear to me – said Szymon Hołownia in "Signals of the Day" on PR1.

09:49

"A Good Choice'. Budka on von der Leyen's Candidacy

- I am convinced that this decision will be confirmed by the European Parliament. The EPP holds this position as the largest faction, so there is no doubt that Ursula von der Leyen fulfills her duties very well; it is a good choice. Today, we need a person who, firstly, understands what is happening in Ukraine, how important the issue of our eastern border and the strengthening of European security is, but also a person who, as a centrist, Christian Democrat politician, can unite various factions in the European Parliament and in Europe. Ursula von der Leyen has shown herself in this very positive light over the last few years – stated Borys Budka on Radio Zet.

09:49

Budka on CPK:

We've Made This Project Realistic.

- First and foremost, we've made this [CPK] project realistic. Secondly, PiS built nothing, only occupying themselves with an empty field for many years. Meanwhile, we want to primarily utilize what already exists, the potential of regional airports, the potential of the Modlin airport, and to utilize, as long as possible, the Warsaw airport, and to build an airport that will realistically work for Poland, for Polish carriers, for Polish citizens. This is achievable – said Borys Budka on Radio Zet.

09:49

Budka on Matysiak’s Decision:

These People Should Be Held Accountable, Not Built Up With.

- It’s only a matter of time before another association, perhaps with Zbigniew Ziobro, launches 'Free Courts v. 2', and then we'd have a real combo. These people, I mean the people from PiS, should be held accountable for what they did and what they failed to do over the last 8 years, not pretend that anything can be built with them. So I’m not surprised by my colleagues from Lewica suspending their colleague – stated Borys Budka on Radio Zet.

09:50

Budka on KO's Presidential Candidate:

I Don't Know if Tusk Will Decide on Primaries.

- The board's decision will be made at the chairman's request [whether there will be primaries]. In my opinion, Rafał Trzaskowski has strong support among the board members. I don't know if Mr. Chairman Tusk will decide to hold primaries; we haven't discussed that yet – Borys Budka said on Radio Zet.

09:53

Another Leftist Demand Delivered: Sejm Adopts Law on New Definition of Rape
The Sejm has just adopted a law changing the definition of rape, because only YES means CONSENT. Another demand from the Left has been delivered – Robert Biedroń wrote on Twitter. The project was supported by 335 MPs, with 47 voting against and 47 abstaining. The PiS (Law and Justice party) caucus was divided – 94 MPs were in favour, 26 against, and 47 abstained.

09:57

Woś Loses Immunity. Sejm Makes Decision

240 MPs supported the motion to express the Sejm's consent to bring MP Michał Woś to criminal accountability. 192 MPs voted against, and 7 MPs abstained.

10:10

Hołownia on presidential elections:

I’m leaving myself the option to make this decision, which I’m thinking about very seriously, in the autumn.
- I’ve been very honestly saying since 2019 that I have an idea for the role of an arbiter rather than a team captain, who is capable of starting to restore what is essential in Poland today, namely reconciliation. […] If we don’t start to somewhat stabilize the internal situation in Poland, and the president is appointed for this and is suited for it, then the actions of political parties will also not be fully effective […], there will be constant dispute, deadlock, struggle, war - said Szymon Hołownia in "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1. - For the last 20 years, we’ve had a president from either PiS or PO. […] He [Rafał Trzaskowski] was my competitor once before. I lost to him then. I’m leaving myself the option to make this decision, which I’m thinking about very seriously, in the autumn and I am considering it very seriously - he emphasized.

10:24

Tusk Summarizes European Council Summit:

Poland Achieved 100% of Our Goals Regarding Defense Projects.
- We have a serious reason to leave Brussels today in a good mood. Perhaps not with euphoria, because we rather expected these outcomes, although in the end it wasn't that simple. [...] Practically unanimously, as there were only two cases of lack of support for these candidacies, which from the perspective of our interests are good and safe. I'm talking here about Ursula von der Leyen as still the candidate [...] for the head of the Commission, Kaja Kallas, our candidate from the region as the EU's Minister of Foreign Affairs. For me, it was very important that Ms. Kaja Kallas received this nomination; she holds views on matters that interest us, on Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine [...] she presents practically 1:1 the Polish position, and Antonio Costa [...] as the President of the European Council - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference after the European Council summit. - Poland achieved 100% of what we set out to do regarding these defense projects concerning security, and the debate here was very heated. I don't want to exaggerate, God forbid, but I am actually a veteran here, and for the first time, I saw a situation where France and Germany together persuaded others towards solutions, and essentially all the other leaders supported the Polish position on these flagship defense projects - he continued. - This concerns mainly these two Polish projects. One, which we prepared together with the Greeks, is the defense of European skies [...] the point is for Europe to take responsibility, not individual nation-states, for this secure sky over Europe [...] perhaps for the first time, I can say with full conviction that Poland managed to mobilize practically all other countries and we pushed through our idea. It was similar with the Eastern Shield, as you know, we combined this project with the initiative of the Baltic states, which agreed to build a Baltic defense line, and we presented this as a joint project, hence the Eastern Shield and this Baltic line. Here too, there was a similar dispute, and it was to a similar extent that we managed to push it through - he went on to say.

10:46

Tusk on von der Leyen's Candidacy:

I Believe There Will Be a Majority.
- I believe that Mrs. Meloni will not mobilize against Ursula von der Leyen. Mrs. Meloni was skeptical about the candidacies of Kaja Kallas and António Costa, but she unequivocally said a few warm words about Ursula von der Leyen, so I believe there will be a majority. It won't be easy, but there will be a majority – Donald Tusk said at a press conference.

10:48

Tusk:

We Will Continue to Help Ukraine, But Without Weakening Poland's Defense Capabilities
- I, together with the Minister of National Defence, must very carefully weigh how we can continue to help Ukraine, but we absolutely do not want and cannot weaken Poland's defense capabilities. There are a few details to sort out here, but it's more about certain formulations rather than the principle itself. I want to assure you here, I've stated very clearly: we will help, because your [Ukraine's] security is our security, but we will not do anything that weakens our direct security, meaning our capabilities – stated Donald Tusk at a press conference.

10:56

Tusk on the excessive deficit procedure:

I said it’s a consequence of Poland bearing the financial burden of European defense.
- I said about this excessive deficit procedure that it is an involuntary, but a consequence of Poland bearing the financial burden of defending not only our own, but the entire European defense, and that I cannot agree to such irony of fate, it’s out of the question entirely. It’s not bad with the Commission, I must say, because on the one hand, they don’t really have a choice, and when there are certain data, numbers, they have to initiate certain procedures, but I find a lot of understanding in the Commission for this specific Polish situation - Donald Tusk said at a press conference. - I have the right to assume that the Commission, when preparing such recommendations, will take very seriously into account the fact that we have to spend so much on defense - he continued.

10:58

Tusk on Accountability for PiS Politicians:

I Have a Sense of Acceleration.
- I would like those who have stolen from Poland, those who have broken the rule of law, not only to stand before a court, but to be effectively and successfully convicted based on strong evidence. And okay, it's going a bit slower because of that, but I also have a sense of acceleration - Donald Tusk said at a press conference.

11:21

"It Has Been Decided It Will Be a Government Project'. Kotula on Civil Partnerships
It has been decided. It is my decision, but also Prime Minister Donald Tusk's decision, that it will be a government project. We don't know when it will be presented to the government, because it will only appear before the government after it has gone through inter-ministerial and public consultations. Minister Berek, who chairs the government work programming team, must decide for it to appear before the team and officially enter the government pathway - stated Katarzyna Kotula in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

12:31

Obajtek Summoned Before Parliamentary Committee. Date Set

- Former Orlen CEO Daniel Obajtek has been summoned for July 9, 2024, at 10:00 AM for questioning before the Sejm's investigative committee regarding the visa scandal. There are many matters that need clarification! - informed Marek Sowa on social media.

13:07

Exchange between Woś and Hołownia:

You should tell the prosecutor if you're not ashamed.

On the Sejm corridor, Michał Woś approached Szymon Hołownia, interrupting his conversation with journalists.

- Mr. Speaker did not allow me to defend myself. [...] Five minutes, ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Speaker, five minutes before my speech [...] Mr. Speaker allowed a Civic Platform MP to speak, but did not allow me to speak. These are the standards, Mr. Speaker - said Michał Woś.

- The Sejm Standing Orders set the standards. Article 133... - replied Szymon Hołownia.

- Aren't you ashamed, Mr. Speaker? - Woś pressed.

- No, absolutely not. I believe that it is you who should tell the prosecutor if you are not ashamed - Hołownia replied.

- I am proud. I acted for the security of the Polish state... - Woś said.

- Excellent. You will tell about that at the prosecutor's office and in court - Hołownia responded, after which he turned to the journalists: - Mr. Woś is a very nervous MP, but that is understandable given his legal situation.

13:41

What's in the Civil Partnerships Bill? Kotula on Details and Contentious Points

Katarzyna Kotula has announced on social media the issues regulated in the government's draft bill on civil partnerships.

- The draft includes the registration of a civil partnership at the Civil Registry Office and solutions concerning property matters, inheritance, taxes, health insurance, the right to burial, survivor's pension, care allowance, and access to medical information – stated the Minister for Equality.

- For one of the coalition partners, the Polish People's Party, the contentious issues remain: adoption of a partner's child, a ceremony at the Civil Registry Office, and taking a common surname – she noted.

- In the course of further work – inter-ministerial consultations and public consultations, we will seek solutions and compromises that will meet the needs of the community and ensure the project gains a majority in parliament – she announced.

14:05

Konwiński on postal voting:

We are rectifying the harm that PiS primarily did to the Polish diaspora.
- Yesterday, the Senate adopted amendments to the Electoral Code without further changes. With these amendments, we are restoring postal voting for all voters, both in presidential and parliamentary elections. We are rectifying the harm that PiS inflicted upon our compatriots, primarily those living outside our borders, in 2018 – said Zbigniew Konwiński at a press conference in the Sejm. - We are convinced that this solution will contribute to increasing turnout, primarily among the Polish diaspora, but also among Poles living in Poland. […] We appeal to President Duda to sign the bill, which will soon be sent to him from the Senate, without unnecessary delay – he added.

14:10

Kaczyński on Woś: I hope the day of reckoning will come for all this, and it will be severe

- The state is becoming increasingly oppressive, but because it is implementing the German agenda in Poland, including in the sphere of culture and historical memory, it is absolutely obvious that it must become increasingly oppressive, because otherwise it is impossible to implement without protection. That's how I would put it. Of course, we will defend [Michał Woś], and I hope the day of reckoning will come for all this, and it will be severe - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

14:20

Kaczyński:

There are people driven solely by personal considerations. We want to get rid of such people from the party.

- There are people driven solely by personal considerations. We want to get rid of such people from the party - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

- This is not a scandalous letter [from Łukasz Kmita]. It is not against the law. I believe that in this situation, it is the most sensible, most democratic solution. After all, the voters decided in favour of PiS, not in favour of people who are arranging… - he continued.

14:45

Morawiecki:

The NSA Ruling is Completely Detached from Those Times and the Threat That Prevailed
Today's ruling by the Supreme Administrative Court (NSA) is completely detached from those times and the threat that prevailed then. It is also clear that if our government had not taken action then, a ruling would have been made today – this time covering a complaint about inaction and endangering citizens' health, Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on social media.

14:50

Kropiwnicki on NSA ruling concerning Morawiecki: 'I see consequences and jail time here'
- Another piece of good news! The Supreme Administrative Court (NSA) dismissed Morawiecki's cassation appeal regarding the postal elections. This directly means that the Provincial Administrative Court's (WSA) decision on Mateusz's 'gross violation of the law' is final. We knew this from the start! I see consequences and jail time here. And you? - wrote Deputy Minister Robert Kropiwnicki on Twitter.

17:58

Kaczyński:

Heroes Being Removed from WWII Museum at Night, Secretly, Without Public Decision
- We are witnessing events in Poland that can only be described as shameful. [...] These very heroes are being removed from the Museum of the Second World War at night, in secret, without any public decision, while their activities, or at least a significant part of them, were connected with this war, and it was then that they showed their extraordinary heroism – said Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw, during a speech at the Witold Pilecki Monument.

18:17

Kaczyński:

Those Ruling Poland Today Represent a Direction of Degradation and Elimination
- This is an endeavor to have our nation recognize itself as one that has nothing to be proud of, that had no heroes, that did not prove itself in the most difficult period of modern history […]. Well, this is a great untruth. […] This is to be questioned, this is to be rejected. We are to be a lesser nation, one that accepts a worse fate - said Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw, during an address at the Witold Pilecki Monument. - The last years up to 2023, and precisely until October 15th, were years in which we strove in a thoughtful and effective manner for our fate in another dimension, but also an important one - the material one, to become similar to those west of our borders. We succeeded in this. […] Today, those who rule Poland represent a completely different direction - to degrade, to reduce our chances, to eliminate our development, to take away real opportunities - he continued.

18:23

Kaczyński:

The Current Government's Policy Implements the Desires of Those Seeking to Revive Imperialist Europe
- This is the policy [of the current government], which does not stem from any Polish experience, nor is it the implementation of any Polish program. It is the fulfillment of an external demand, it is the implementation of what those who want to revive a Europe of imperialisms need, a Europe where there are those who are subordinate and those who decide, and who consistently follow this path, albeit no longer with the help of weapons […], but with entirely different methods – said Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw, during an address in front of the Witold Pilecki Monument. - They have their representatives here, who unfortunately have gained public support. Thanks to this, they can rule, they can inflict terrible wounds on Poland. Thanks to this, alongside the war with the Polish economy, […] they also want to strike at symbols – he continued.

18:30

Kaczyński:

We Will Return to Proper Education of Young Generations, to Proper Cultural Policy
- We must oppose this. We must ensure that such events provoke opposition and ultimately translate into general opposition. An opposition that will lead to today’s bad times in Poland being just a bad incident, but an incident that will end, and we will return to building a strong, proud Poland – said Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw, during his speech at the Witold Pilecki Monument. - We will return to the proper education of young generations, because that too has been attacked. We will return to proper cultural policy, we will give a chance to all those who want to engage in social life for traditionally Polish, national, and religious motives – he continued.

18:36

Kaczyński:

We Must Unite, Polish Patriots Must Form a Great White-Red Front

- Our opposition must grow stronger. We must be able to mobilize a huge part of our society. And we must unite, Polish patriots must step forward in one, great, white-red front. This front, if it forms, will undoubtedly defeat our enemies, [...] those who today want to carry out a kind of pacification of our nation - said Jarosław Kaczyński in Warsaw, during an address in front of the Monument to Witold Pilecki.

20:07

Nitras on Partnership Unions:

Tusk Doesn't Need to Slam His Fist on the Table.
- Donald Tusk doesn't need to slam his fist on the table because Civic Coalition, MPs, and female MPs of the Civic Coalition are decided on this matter as one man and one wife. We need to find a parliamentary majority, and Donald Tusk is doing everything to find this parliamentary majority. Please be patient - said Sławomir Nitras on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach" (Facts After Facts).

20:12

Nitras on Civil Partnerships:

If people want to celebrate, they will celebrate, and no law will regulate it.
- I am surprised by these emotional statements, for instance, I don't know, from Mr. MP Sawicki, completely unnecessary, which instead of calming the atmosphere, inflame it [...]. No one will forbid anyone from solemnly celebrating the conclusion of a civil partnership. If people want to celebrate, they will celebrate, and no law will regulate it. I am not at all surprised that people want to commemorate this moment - said Sławomir Nitras on TVN24.

20:19

Nitras on a potential common coalition candidate for president:

The election campaign wouldn't spill over into the government.
- If we, as a coalition, manage to present a single candidate in the first round, in my opinion, it would certainly help the candidate, but above all, it would unite and strengthen the coalition. It would prevent the election campaign from spilling over into the government, because such a risk exists. So, from the perspective of someone who wishes the government well – and I do wish the government well – attempting to agree on a candidate is important from the viewpoint of the governing coalition – Sławomir Nitras stated on TVN24.

20:24

Nitras:

I Can Imagine Tusk as a Potential Presidential Candidate
- Certainly, Rafał Trzaskowski today seems to be the leader in this race or in this primary, let's say, all polls show that he enjoys the greatest popularity [...]. Do I, for example, imagine Donald Tusk as a potential candidate? Yes, I do. He is the leader of our camp, he is the leader of our political formation, and he is a very experienced politician whom we trust - said Sławomir Nitras on TVN24.

20:27

Bodnar on Potential Prosecutorial Charges for Morawiecki:

It is Possible.

- I think it is possible in this situation. I wouldn't want to prejudge it, because these are prosecutors' decisions, but please note – the investigative committee also dealt with this, and now, if the Supreme Administrative Court definitively rules that there was a gross violation of the law, that such decisions could not have been issued when no provisions existed for them, then this is naturally something that could be qualified as an abuse of law and the criminal code – stated Adam Bodnar on TVP Info.

Bodnar Announces Another Resolution

- This was one of the main topics of our meeting [another resolution]. Chairman, attorney Giertych, believes such a resolution [regarding the prosecution service] would be beneficial. We have agreed that a draft will be presented. We will see what the draft contains - stated Adam Bodnar on TVP Info.

Wójcik:

Woś is an Innocent Man
- If anyone watched the session of the regulations committee, they know that Minister Michał Woś is an innocent man. He is a person who has served well, serves well, and will continue to serve the state. He is a person who decided to transfer 25 million from one state unit to another state unit, and do you know what he is accused of? That he benefited financially. What financial benefit? He did not accept any money. No one refuted the argument that this was done based on a legal provision; there were three opinions from eminent professors stating he could do it, there was a classified opinion from the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) stating he could do it. How can something like this happen? – stated Michał Wójcik on the program "Guest of the Events" on Polsat News.

Bodnar:

Hołownia Still Sends Representatives to the Constitutional Tribunal. I Don't Know Why

- For example, for me, the resolution on the Constitutional Tribunal resulted in me, as the Prosecutor General, not participating in proceedings before the tribunal. I don't think there's a dispute within the government because the only person making decisions in this regard is the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister makes the decisions, and it's not as if the Prime Minister, in such serious matters... Szymon Hołownia is precisely responsible for whether to send his representatives to the Constitutional Tribunal, and for some reason, I still don't know why, he still sends his representatives – stated Adam Bodnar on TVP Info.

Wójcik on Ziobro's health condition:

He is gravely ill, fighting for his life.
- He is very gravely ill, fighting for his life. He is fighting for his life, and his wife is also heroically fighting for his life, and we are simply praying and waiting for him to simply recover, and I hope he will return to political life, because what is happening is simply unbelievable – Michał Wójcik said on Polsat News. - Firstly, as far as I know, there is an excuse in parliament. If the parliament under Mr. Hołownia's management were operating normally, then the body of this [parliament], which is the investigation committee and Ms. Sroka, would know about such an excuse and until what date – he added.

Wójcik Asked About the Merger of PiS and Sovereign Poland:

There Are No Talks at the Moment.
- At the moment, there are no talks between the leaderships of either PiS or Sovereign Poland. In this particular area, I do not have the ability to determine what will happen in the future. We have our own identity, I am telling you again that no such talks are being conducted at this time, we are in a situation today where they want to kill the Sovereign Poland environment, I am talking about our opponents, meaning those who are in power today – stated Michał Wójcik on Polsat News.
