Kamiński:

In the Governing Coalition, I Demand Less Fighting with Symbols and Removing Crosses, and More Jailing
- Why should Mr. Obajtek be treated differently? [...] Today, our listeners at 7:00 AM know that if they had done something like Obajtek, regardless of who they voted for, they would simply be brought in very quickly and by force - said Michał Kamiński in the "Conversation at 7:00 AM" on RMF24. - I loudly demand that in the governing coalition, there be less fighting with symbols, less removing of crosses, and more jailing. [...] If we keep looking for things that constantly divide us, we will be solidifying the PiS electorate, and I believe the PiS electorate needs to be convinced that they have been deceived - he continued. - Nothing illustrates the fact that the PiS electorate has been deceived better than the careers of thieves and bandits made over the last 8 years. People did not vote for PiS so that some smart alecks could make serious money on Polish security, Polish values, and Polish symbols, as the Red is Bad affair shows. Red is bad but PiS is worse - he went on to say.

07:42

Żukowska Announces Talks on Coalition Agreement Implementation:

PSL is the Brake.
- After the elections, I think it's time for an honest conversation about the programs that were meant to be implemented, not only regarding the Left's program, because some of these demands, such as registered partnerships, overlap with the demands that Civic Coalition promised during the election campaign, and it's not just a feeling, but I know for a fact that one of the coalition partners, namely PSL, is simply acting as a brake on this project, on this solution among others - said Anna Maria Żukowska in an interview with Roch Kowalski on "Poranek TVP Info". - I consider it scandalous [PSL breaking ranks in the vote on the so-called morning-after pill] because it was a government bill, not a parliamentary initiative, and we have an agreement, a coalition agreement, stipulating that there is voting discipline for all government bills - she continued. - We will be talking about its [the coalition agreement's] implementation; there's no need to analyze it. It is what it is; it has clear formulations, and its assumptions simply need to be put into practice [...]. It's only been six months, so I don't think it's time to renegotiate it yet, but rather to start implementing it - she added.

07:47

Kamiński:

Third Way Wants a Weak PiS. Some Prefer a Strong PiS Because Polarization Helps
- I am an enemy of polarization. I am an enemy of chasing a rabbit just to please the audience. I am for catching the rabbit once and for all. [...] We, as the Third Way, are interested in a weak PiS, because when PiS is weak, we, as the Third Way, are stronger. [...] Some prefer a strong PiS because polarization helps - said Michał Kamiński in the "Conversation at 7:00" on RMF24. - When I run for the Senate as a candidate of the united opposition and I am in a polarized environment, my elections are very convenient - because I don't have to answer any inconvenient questions for myself, I just need to say: look, on the other side is a bad PiS member. And I get 200,000 votes election after election - he continued. - I have the bitter awareness that these 200,000 votes are not just votes of love and sympathy for me [...], but they are primarily and to a large extent votes against PiS. For me, personally, such a division is very convenient. The problem is that I know how to win against PiS and I've shown it. I am not afraid of PiS, however, I fear that people who play on polarization are later unable to win against PiS - he stated. - It is better to divide PiS, it is better to parcel out this electorate, and above all, to put the people who were at the head of this political formation specifically in prison. To hold them accountable for it and to end this bad chapter in Polish history - he assessed.

Kolarski Announces Presidential Address

- On Thursday, June 6th, at 8:00 PM, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, will deliver an address encouraging Poles to participate in the upcoming European Parliament elections taking place on June 9th. The President is convinced that high turnout provides a strong mandate for effectively advocating for Polish interests within the European Union - informed presidential minister Wojciech Kolarski.

08:05

Żukowska on the Sejm Marshal position for Czarzasty:

This is the agreement, and as far as New Left is concerned, it is binding.
- This is the agreement, and as far as New Left is concerned, it is a binding agreement, and that's all I can say for today - said Anna Maria Żukowska on TVP Info when asked if a change in the Sejm Marshal position to Włodzimierz Czarzasty is still being considered.

- I have no doubt that [Szymon Hołownia] would be a great [Sejm Marshal until the end of the term], but the agreement was simply different. Marshal Czarzasty will be equally great - she continued.

08:08

Kamiński:

If Tusk has knowledge about wanted lists, he should prevent these people from running for the EP
- Jarosław Kaczyński appears in each of these commissions in one fundamental capacity: the leader of PiS. Not as the chairman, because that reduces the party to a political function. This party systematically began the plunder of the Republic, and the issue of the Justice Fund clearly demonstrates this - said Michał Kamiński in the "Conversation at 7:00" on RMF24. - Today, Jarosław Kaczyński, in every situation where he appears, must be held accountable for his leadership. He cannot pretend that what happened was a marginal activity of his political formation. It was the essence of their governance for the last 8 years - he emphasized. Referring to Donald Tusk's statement that PiS's candidate lists are wanted lists, he stated: - I am not claiming that all the people running for the EP from PiS are bandits. If Prime Minister Donald Tusk has such knowledge, and he has been prime minister for many months now, then in my opinion he should not talk about it, but should prevent these people from running for the EP. And we have full control: the Minister of Interior is in place, and so on.

08:10

Domański on Tusk's Words:

Actually Motivates Ministers to Work.

- Prime Minister Tusk actually motivates ministers to work and to ensure that important projects actually progress in these ministries. I will not reveal the backstage of this dressing room here, but the Prime Minister really makes sure that the work moves forward - stated Andrzej Domański in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:14

Kamiński on Holding PiS Governments Accountable:

Giertych Did the Most, He's Saving Our Honor.
- So far, nothing has been held accountable from the PiS governments. In the last six months, the most has been done regarding the accountability of the PiS governments by independent Civic Platform MP Roman Giertych. […] Even though he represents a different, competitive yet friendly formation to mine, I publicly thank him for it. Because Roman Giertych is saving the honor of our entire opposition - stated Michał Kamiński in the "Rozmowa o 7:00" (Conversation at 7:00) on RMF24. - Today, thanks to what he is revealing, the narrative before the European elections is indeed much more convenient for us. Because people are getting some substance they've been waiting for. But I am convinced that Roman Giertych's activities are not enough […]. He is only an MP and heads a narrow commission created within one party, yet he is doing more than the entire state system - he continued.

08:16

Domański on changes to health contributions:

We are working to find an agreement.
Indeed, Minister Leszczyna and I presented proposals for changes to the health contribution. Proposals that would benefit 93% of Polish entrepreneurs, everyone who settles their taxes on the tax scale, on a flat tax, and also the majority who settle their taxes using a lump-sum tax. This proposal was put on the table and met with certain comments within the coalition, and now we are working to find an agreement, and I hope such an agreement will be found – stated Andrzej Domański in Polsat News’s “Graffiti”.

08:17

Żukowska on the Responsibility of Woś and Romanowski:

Defrauding Large Sums from the Budget Could Be Involved.
- Yes, I believe so, that despite changing the regulations for themselves, because that also needs to be said, they are hiding behind the fact that they did not break any law, because in fact they passed such a law themselves, because they had a majority in the Sejm, that money from this fund can be spent on anything, on everything that the minister and deputy ministers dream of, but there are also other regulations, the provisions of the Penal Code, and in my opinion, defrauding large sums from the state budget may be involved, because this fund was a targeted fund, we cannot forget about that, it was meant to help victims of crimes – said Anna Maria Żukowska on TVP Info, when asked if, in her opinion, Deputy Ministers Woś and Romanowski, the individuals responsible for the Justice Fund, will face justice.

08:29

Kamiński on the Left's Threat to Leave the Government: Don't Threaten, Włodzimierz...
- Since Mr. Czarzasty likes that kind of language, I will respond: Don't threaten, Włodzimierz, because it's clear nothing will come of it - said Michał Kamiński in the "Conversation at 7:00" on RMF24, referring to the Left threatening to leave the government. - Włodzimierz Czarzasty agreed to a coalition agreement that includes the issue of social security contributions for entrepreneurs but not abortion. First, the Left agreed that the issue of abortion is not in the coalition agreement [...], and now the Left is making abortion a topic to leverage something - he continued. - It is an exceptionally vile accusation that we are against fighting hate speech. This is an absolutely untrue accusation. [...] These are the games of the Left, which is losing support, having first played the abortion card and caused an unnecessary commotion - he emphasized.

08:32

Domański:

Funds Will Be Found for Key Investments
I am not prejudging the decision in any way, but funds for the implementation of investments crucial for Poland's long-term economic growth will certainly be found. Whether CPK is among these investments is a completely separate discussion, and analyses are ongoing here. I understand that audits of previously conducted work, or sometimes their absence, are the basis upon which a decision will be made – stated Andrzej Domański in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:40

Kamiński:

If Poland's Geopolitical Situation Worsens, I'll Be First to Call on Tusk to Be President
- If Poland's geopolitical situation becomes bad, and it may, I will be the first to sign an appeal to Donald Tusk to be the President of the Republic. I say this with full responsibility - said Michał Kamiński in the RMF24 program "Rozmowa o 7:00" (Conversation at 7:00). - If the geopolitical situation is bad, Poland will have to demand that Donald Tusk give back to the country what he received from it, namely his great international authority, the skills he undoubtedly possesses, in order to serve the Republic in its hour of need. And I am not ruling out the possibility that such an hour may come - he emphasized.

08:41

Domański:

We are not resigned to the EC initiating excessive deficit procedure against Poland

- No, we are not resigned [to the EC initiating excessive deficit procedure against Poland]; we are in active dialogue with the EC. We are discussing the principles and justification for opening the excessive deficit procedure against Poland and issuing so-called Recommendations. We firmly stand by our position that this deficit, which we inherited from our predecessors, stems to a large extent from defence expenditures, which are the highest among the largest NATO member states. Therefore, we believe that the excessive deficit procedure should not be applied to Poland - stated Andrzej Domański on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- In mid-June, we expect a report from the EC, and I do not want to jump to conclusions. We are still in very active contact to ensure that no recommendations are issued against Poland under the EDP procedure - he continued.

09:33

New PiS Campaign Spot:

They May Not Be Knights in Shining Armor, but They Have Good Ideas and Deliver Results.
"They may not be knights in shining armor, but they have good ideas and deliver results" - this is how a narrator introduces PiS politicians in the party's new campaign spot. For contrast, the video includes fragments of statements by ruling coalition politicians, highlighting their inconsistency on topics such as the Central Communication Port (CPK) and the border barrier.

10:35

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Support for Ukraine:

The Fate of Polish Security is Being Decided There.
- The issue that is also not up for discussion is military aid, because the fate of Polish security is being decided there. Those words from Joe Biden resonate very strongly with me. This is precisely the practical articulation of what we have been saying for many years, and it's not just this government saying it; the majority of Poles and the majority of the political scene are saying it – stated Władysław Kosniak-Kamysz at a press conference. - What have we done? It's tens of donations, a lot of military equipment that has been handed over, both by the previous government and by ours. It's logistical aid, it's Jasionka airport, it's infrastructural and training aid. Poland has trained over 16,000 Ukrainian soldiers as part of an EU mission, and approximately 20,000 soldiers in total through bilateral relations – he added.

10:36

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We Are Seeking All Possible Ways to Increase Poland's Security

- Why are we signing an agreement with the Polish Hunting Association today? Because we know that there is no shortage of threats to Poland, and we are seeking all possible means and ways to increase the security of the Polish state. We are building the East Shield, we are transforming the Polish army, we are strengthening Poland's position in the EU and NATO, we want to allocate more funds to security matters, and also to obtain funds from the EU. We are focusing on developing the defense industry in Poland and in Europe – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

10:36

Morawiecki:

I Urge Tusk to Immediately Unblock the CPK
- What is happening today regarding the container terminal, specifically the one in Świnoujście? Which could be a powerful injection of cash for the entire West Pomerania region. [...] Supposedly, one part of this coalition, the governor, is giving consent [...] another part, with the other hand, is refusing this consent by filing a motion with the court. Here I mean the motion from The Left, the left-wing mayor of Świnoujście. So, a deadlock, blocking, just like it was with the CPK. Supposedly, Hołownia, after months of criticism, after quarters of criticizing the Central Communication Port, is suddenly becoming a supporter - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference. - I call out today, from West Pomerania, here from Wolin, I call out to Tusk for immediate consent, immediate unblocking of the Central Communication Port - he continued.

10:49

Szczerba Announces Motion for Financial Penalty Against Kaczyński
Witness Jarosław Kaczyński is absent. I would like to inform you about the following situation. Member of Parliament Kaczyński was properly and effectively notified several weeks ago about the committee meeting. A few days ago, I received a letter from the Member of Parliament stating that his duties as the leader of the PiS party prevent him from participating in this committee. He requested a change of date. In accordance with the law on parliamentary committees, and in particular in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure, the witness's obligation has not been fulfilled. I do not have my consent, and I hope the entire committee does not have consent, for placing oneself above the law - stated Michał Szczerba at the session of the investigative committee for the visa scandal. Since this is the first unexcused absence, and counting on what MP Kaczyński declares, that he will appear at the next committee session, moreover, he even mentioned a specific date, Friday, today I will submit a motion regarding an application to the District Court in Warsaw for imposing a financial penalty on the witness. There will be no motion for arrest and bring-in at this session, hoping that witness Kaczyński, in accordance with his declaration, which was publicly expressed today in social media by Rafał Bochenek on his behalf, will appear at the next session - added the committee chairman. The investigative committee is requesting a financial penalty in the amount of PLN 3,000.

10:50

Brudziński Appeals to Tusk Regarding Flooding in Podbeskidzie:

A Damn Duty.
- The year is 2024, floods are affecting Podbeskidzie, Bielsko-Biała is flooded. The Prime Minister of the Polish government, the Minister of the Interior are clowning around in Castle Square, spouting unbelievable nonsense, polarizing public opinion, stirring up bad emotions, and introducing a great deal of hatred into the public sphere. The Prime Minister of the Polish government, it was his damn duty to be by the side of the people in Podbeskidzie, it was to delegate ministers to responsible work, and I will repeat here from Wolin today: Tusk, get to work with your ministers, don't clown around – said Joachim Brudziński at a press conference.

10:58

Szczerba appeals to Obajtek:

The consequences for him will be very severe.

- This will be the second no-show, it will exhaust the definition of persistent no-show, and the consequences I will propose to the high commission will be firm. I want to say, and this is a public appeal to Daniel Obajtek, if he is on Polish territory, he should come to Warsaw immediately, because the consequences will be very severe for him - stated Michał Szczerba at the session of the investigative committee concerning the visa scandal.

The session of the investigative committee is scheduled to resume at 3:00 PM.

11:02

Morawiecki on Kurski's Words:

Even Within a Single Family, Arguments Can Sometimes Occur.
- First and foremost, I want to emphasize how much importance unity holds right now. After all, even within one family, one can sometimes argue about this or that, and the most important thing is that we go to the elections as one fist - said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference, when asked about Jacek Kurski's words that when he was the president of TVP, PiS won elections, and when he stopped being president, the party lost. This statement was a response to Morawiecki's earlier words that Kurski's media policy was a "ball and chain" for PiS.

11:18

A Highly Politicized Office, Bearing No Mark of a Public Institution." Morawiecki on NIK
- We learned a few months ago that the President of the Supreme Audit Office, referring to the current government's Prime Minister [...] Donald Tusk, said: 'boss'. He refers to him as the boss and speaks about him in such a way that he further sets up opportunities for this boss, right? So, how can one look at the reports of the Supreme Audit Office, which is a highly politicized office, an office that virtually no longer bears the mark of a public institution as such, it is an office that is a political tool in the hands of Civic Platform – stated Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:26

Müller on Alleged Abuses at RARS:

I Don't Accept Such a Scenario.
- The actions of the services in this regard were undertaken during our government's term. Therefore, the question arises: if the services allegedly possess such far-reaching information – because I understand they were investigating whether it was true or not – but if they were in possession of such information, how is it that President Kuczmierowski was the head of the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves for so long? – said Piotr Müller on the program "Sedno sprawy" (The Essence of the Matter) on Radio Plus. - If these documents were as strong as Onet claims, if they were so unequivocal, I understand that Donald Tusk would not hesitate to dismiss the head of RARS. Therefore, as I say, given that these matters are erupting just before the election campaign, and some information has been in the possession of the services for many months, I have doubts about the quality of these materials – he continued. - This operation, regarding these media stories in recent weeks, is geared towards the elections, and you will see, after the elections, this matter will probably drag on for years, because I simply don't want to believe that abuses occurred in this area [RARS], I don't accept such a scenario – he added.

11:27

Müller on CPK Declarations:

I Don't Believe Tusk.
- I will be happy if they [CPK] realize it. I don't believe Donald Tusk. I believe that even his declaration, if it comes today, will be a false declaration, that he will drag it out in time and say that unfortunately it wasn't possible to realize it. Because not long ago, Roman Giertych and his followers claimed that Russians were behind the "yes to CPK" campaign, which is absurd – said Piotr Müller on Radio Plus.

12:32

Tusk on the Russian Commission: We Agreed It Would Work Quickly

- We agreed that this commission [on Russian influence] would also work quickly. We wanted it to start its work right after the elections, so that no one would associate its work, its first reports, with the election campaign. And I will personally ensure that the work of this commission is not exploited in future presidential elections as well - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

12:38

Stróżyk Appoints Members of Russian Commission and Sets Timeline for Work

The Prime Minister has delegated two individuals - Irena Lipowicz, Dominika Kasprowicz.

Minister of Finance - Katarzyna Bąkowicz.

Minister of Digital Affairs - Bartosz Machalica.

Minister of Culture - Adam Leszczyński.

Minister of National Defence - Grzegorz Motyka.

Minister of State Assets - Cezary Banasiński.

Minister of Foreign Affairs - Tomasz Chłoń.

Minister of the Interior - Paweł Białek.

Coordinator of Special Services - Agnieszka Demczuk, Paweł Ceranka.

The commission will begin its work today, with further meetings scheduled for the coming weeks. The first report, according to the regulation, we are obligated to submit within 60 days of the commission's commencement of activities - said the head of the Military Counterintelligence Service, Jarosław Stróżyk.

12:41

Siemoniak on the Commission on Russian Influence:

We Place Great Importance on the Results of its Work.
"We place great importance on the establishment, work, and results of this commission. As you know, we are currently facing not only influences but active actions commissioned by Russian and Belarusian services. Attempts at sabotage acts, the situation on the border, which we have no doubt is an action commissioned by Russian and Belarusian services, therefore, clarifying all matters from the last twenty years, where traces of Russian or Belarusian activity are visible, is of great importance here" – stated Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference.

12:45

Tusk:

I Will Directly Ask Orban On What Basis He Organizes, If He Organizes, Obajtek's Leisure Stay

- I am not surprised by these media revelations. That is to say, the address seems quite probable to me. I will be meeting with Prime Minister Orban soon, so I will ask him directly, out of human curiosity, on what basis he organizes, if he organizes, Mr. Obajtek's leisure stay in Budapest - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

12:46

Tusk:

I have no doubt that sooner or later Obajtek will face justice

- If you ask me as a citizen, I would very much like to see Mr. Obajtek not in a Budapest apartment building, a friend of Prime Minister Orban, but in a courtroom, because I have no doubt that sooner or later Mr. Obajtek will face justice - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

12:51

Tusk Speaks Out on CPK, Promises Presentation

- Regarding CPK, a full presentation of the future, not of this abbreviation CPK, but of railway, aviation, and airport undertakings in Poland, will be presented to you in detail in June. The ministers responsible for this – and please calm down all those who are speaking publicly on this matter – know that in June the public opinion, everyone interested, will learn about our plans, and in detail – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

13:34

Bodnar on the RARS Scandal:

This is Another Terrifying Case.
- This is absolutely another significant case. Another terrifying case, where pre-trial proceedings are being conducted by the prosecution, in which, at this stage, funds amounting to 117 million PLN have already been secured on two accounts. In the case, according to the information that was conveyed, which I also received from the National Prosecutor, it concerns, among other things, the purchase of power generators with EU funds for an amount, I don't remember the exact figure, 350 million PLN, and at the same time, data indicates that the purchase price for the same generators from China was 69 million PLN. So, you can calculate for yourselves what a difference there was between one amount and the other, and – what's more – a company, which was established three months before this contract was executed, was responsible for all of this – and – what's more – a company that did not specialize in the import and distribution of generators, but specialized in the import of clothing from China – stated Adam Bodnar at a press conference.

13:39

Tusk Vows Accountability:

They Profited from the Pandemic, Death, and the Tragedy in Ukraine.
- I want to tell you that just as we did not let go and will not let go of those people who traded, who made big money on respirators, or generally on the pandemic, we will also not let go of those who are profiting from the war in Ukraine. I'm sorry to say it, but I have no doubt that they profited from death, from the tragedy in Ukraine. People, including the closest collaborators and colleagues of the Prime Minister, and those shamelessly promoted by the President, these are things that truly make one feel sick – stated Donald Tusk at a press conference.

13:46

Kwaśniewski:

The Effort Still Needs to Be Made on June 9th

- I want to convince you that on this June 9th, the effort still needs to be made. It is easier because we know the way to the polling stations, we know how to get there, how much time it takes, because we are electing the European Parliament. We are electing an institution that has the strongest democratic mandate in the European Union. Just as I convinced you in the parliamentary and local elections, I am now asking you with full conviction to vote for the European Parliament - stated Aleksander Kwaśniewski during a media statement.

13:56

Kwaśniewski:

20 Years in the EU is a Success

- 20 years in the European Union is a success. I think that even our opponents or critics in the West, who didn't believe that this great enlargement of 2024 could succeed, will also admit today that it was a great decision. It was, in my opinion, the last, great, historic, positive decision that was made, and that was in 2004 - stated Aleksander Kwaśniewski during a media briefing.

14:01

Kwaśniewski:

The Number of European Descendants is Decreasing

- The number of European descendants is decreasing. America is increasingly a society whose roots reach back to Asia, South America (...) regardless of whether Trump wins or someone else, this perspective is real, which is why Europe must think about its European security system, about rapid reaction forces, and perhaps in the future about a common army - stated Aleksander Kwaśniewski during a statement to the media.

14:10

Kwaśniewski:

Every vote for populists brings us closer to tragedy

- Every vote cast for populists is a vote that brings us closer to tragedy (...) we should remember this when voting for particular candidates - stated Aleksander Kwaśniewski during a statement to the media.

15:12

Obajtek Fails to Appear Before Committee Again; Szczerba Requests Compulsory Attendance
With regret, I state that Daniel Obajtek, once again disrespecting his duties towards the citizens on whose behalf the committee acts, has failed to appear at today's session, despite being properly and effectively summoned by the committee for questioning. This is an extreme disregard for the Sejm and its committees. In light of this, I would like to ask the esteemed committee to take specific action. I would hereby like to submit a motion to impose a financial penalty [PLN 3,000] on the witness, Daniel Obajtek, and to order his detention and compulsory attendance - stated Michał Szczerba during the session of the investigative committee into the visa scandal.

15:23

Szczerba Announces Motion to Bodnar Regarding Obajtek

- Today, I am also addressing Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar, urging him to utilize all available means to effectively serve a summons to witness Daniel Obajtek, similar to how it was done on Monday - stated Michał Szczerba during the session of the investigative committee for the visa scandal.

15:28

Tusk on New Prosecution Charges Against the Ziobro Group:

Surprised?

- Regarding the organized group of Ziobro, new charges from the prosecution. This time, money laundering. Surprised? - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Twitter.

Morawiecki on Border Situation: Officers Must Have Full Rights and Simple Procedures to Defend Themselves and Use Firearms for Self-Defense

- Our border, our home Poland, is being attacked with increasing brutality. If someone attacks your home, my home, do we have the right to defend ourselves? Well, I suppose so. Well, I suppose if an aggressor attacks someone with a knife, an officer, and especially a soldier, must have full rights and simple procedures to defend themselves, to use firearms for self-defense. Now, several people have been attacked, there are people fighting for their lives. If an attacker attacks in a brutal manner, we must respond in a real way to what is happening on our eastern border - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

Sikorski:

The agreement on ambassadors has not been honored; the President has not signed a single one of my proposals
- I am following the procedures, even according to the law, which we believe is unconstitutional because it was adopted under the previous government at the President's request, and it grants the President powers not foreseen by the constitution. But I am still applying it. I tried to reach an agreement with the President, we concluded two preliminary understandings, I am applying the so-called Foreign Service Convention, where candidates for dismissal and appointment are presented. The President receives justifications, and this procedure was supposed to involve the President signing once it passed this process - Radosław Sikorski said in an interview with Aleksandra Pawlicka on TVP Info's "Kontrapunkt". - The President said he was asking to protect four associates - okay. Then he said that those whose four-year terms had ended would be dismissed - okay. After which, I sent the proposals, having already fulfilled the procedures, and the President informed me in writing that he would not consider them anyway - he continued. - Rotations in ambassadorial positions are necessary. I inherited a ministry where 20% of positions were vacant altogether, and most positions were held by political appointees, for the first time in history - he indicated. - I asked for an agreement twice, and twice we concluded it. Only that - as I perceive the situation - it was not honored, because after six months of my proposals, the President has not signed a single one of my proposals - neither for dismissal nor for appointment - he stressed.

Sikorski:

Ambassador Anders, through mutual agreement, terminated her employment – will the President still consider her an ambassador?
- I did not want to engage in a discussion about specific individuals; it was the President who initiated it. After more than four years of service, I recalled Ambassador Anders from Rome, who had already signed an agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to terminate her employment by mutual consent. Will Mr. President then continue to consider her an ambassador? But she has already returned to, I believe, New Jersey, where she came from. You must admit, Madam, that the President is creating a strange situation - said Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info's "Kontrapunkt".

18:31

Sikorski:

I'm Ready to Debate Mastalerek. I Think I'd Win.
- Minister Mastalerek, it seems, will be a candidate, so I am ready to debate him, at any time of day or night. I think I'd win - said Radosław Sikorski, laughing, on TVP Info's 'Kontrapunkt', responding to a question about whether his dispute with the president over ambassadors isn't leading him towards the role of presidential candidate. - Let's be serious. Thank you, that's very flattering to my ego. I believe it was the President who said that everyone carries a marshal's baton in their backpack - he continued.

Sikorski on PiS's Candidate Lists: Calling a Criminal a Criminal Isn't Language Polarization
- How should we refer to people who are convicted criminals, or people who evade appearing before parliamentary inquiry committees or the prosecutor's office? I am surprised that parties are fielding compromised individuals in elections. If any other party presented such a list of candidates, they would lose disastrously, so I am very curious about these elections, how steadfast and loyal the PiS electorate is, even with such candidates - said Radosław Sikorski in TVP Info's 'Kontrapunkt'. - Calling a criminal a criminal isn't language polarization, it's telling the honest truth - he stated.

18:49

Sikorski:

Large, Organized Groups of Hooligans Are Heading Towards the Polish Border
- Under the PiS government, it wasn't the case that almost 100% of those attempting to cross the Polish border had Russian visas. These are truly people brought to Russia with the aim of trying to break through the border. This is simply part of Russia's hybrid offensive - said Radosław Sikorski on TVP Info's "Kontrapunkt". - Large, organized groups of hooligans, groups of thugs who are trained on how to injure a Polish soldier or Border Guard officer, are heading towards the Polish border. These are not random occurrences, this is the result of training - he emphasized. - This is a consequence [of reinstating the buffer zone on the border with Belarus] of the information we have about planned attacks on an even larger scale on the Polish border - he stated.

19:38

Mastalerek Responds to Sikorski on Debate, Makes an Offer:

I Accept.
- I accept. If I win, you will withdraw your disastrous decision and Ambassador Szatkowski will return to NATO to prepare for the Summit. Deal? - Marcin Mastalerek wrote on Twitter, responding in this way to Radosław Sikorski. Earlier, Sikorski said on TVP Info: Minister Mastalerek, it seems, will be a candidate, so I am ready to debate him, at any time of day or night. I think I would win against him.

Obajtek:

I am moving. I don't live in Budapest, I'm in Podkarpacie
- This is an ordinary lie, because [...] I have repeatedly said that after leaving Orlen, I am not an unemployed person and I am generally in different parts and I am moving around. I was also in Budapest, I was in Slovakia, I was in the Czech Republic, I was in Vienna, I was in Italy generally, this is not something that I have actually hidden. I do not own any property in any of these countries, if I had accommodation somewhere, I naturally paid for it generally - said Daniel Obajtek in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News, when asked about reports that he only visits Podkarpacie and lives in a luxury apartment in Budapest. - I do not live in Budapest, since May 5th I started my campaign, I am in Podkarpacie, I am trying to conduct my campaign, I am meeting people - he continued.

19:54

Obajtek on the Next Committee Hearing:

I'm Not Ruling It Out, But I'm Not Saying I'll Come.
- I'm not ruling it out, but I'm not saying I'll come - said Daniel Obajtek in Polsat News, when asked if he didn't rule out appearing before the investigative committee on Friday, June 7. - I'm not afraid, but you need to know that it takes two days to prepare for such a committee and practically one day to be in Warsaw. That's three days taken out of the calendar at the last minute of the election campaign, when I should be with people and campaigning - he continued.

19:56

Grabiec on Government Meetings:

There’s No Soft Touch in Any Area.
- The Prime Minister doesn’t mince words; he says directly what he expects from his ministers and also says it directly when what he receives doesn’t meet his expectations or societal expectations. Of course, I won’t say out loud who gets what and for what - Jan Grabiec said in the program “Tak jest” on TVN24. - There is no soft touch in any area. […] If ministers provide solutions that are not in line with societal expectations, then they must reckon with the fact that these proposals will be rejected - he added.

19:58

Szczerba on attempts to question Obajtek:

It's not like a witness can set their own comfortable dates.
- Daniel Obajtek will have a third attempt to appear before the commission. It's not like any witness can set their own comfortable dates to answer - said Michał Szczerba in Polsat News.

20:00

Grabiec:

The Left Has Nothing to Complain About. Its Demands, Included in the Coalition Agreement, Are Being Consistently Implemented
- Enforcing the coalition agreement is a joint commitment of the coalition leaders. The coalition assumes partnership. I think the Left has nothing to complain about; the Left's demands, which are in the coalition agreement, are being implemented, and very consistently so. One could say that PO is the most wronged, because we contributed the most to this program. These 100 concrete points are, to some extent, being questioned today by our coalition partners - said Jan Grabiec on TVN24's "Tak jest".

20:04

Grabiec on Civil Partnerships:

Work on the Project is Ongoing.
- Work on this project is ongoing. You just need to ask, Robert Biedroń can ask his caucus colleague, the minister who is working on this project. The project is advanced - said Jan Grabiec in "Tak jest" on TVN24, when asked about civil partnerships. - This is not a matter of elections, it's a matter of convincing partners, obtaining a majority - he noted. - The atmosphere in the coalition is good. It's a matter of details. I know that these details are being agreed upon. This is not about quickly pushing out some project and sending it to the Sejm, but about changing the law in Poland - he added. - Of course, the sensitivity of individual coalition environments to certain topics varies, so if it turns out that implementing the coalition's program will be easier after the elections, then that's all for the good - he assessed.

20:07

Szczerba on Kaczyński and the Attempt to Interrogate Him:

I'm Giving Him a Second Chance.
- For me, Mr. President Kaczyński is a more significant witness, and for us. [...] I think President Kaczyński declared publicly that if he is summoned... I did not use the instrument I possessed, because today, together with my colleagues, I could have made the decision to request his detention and apprehension. I did not use this instrument because I am dealing with a Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, I am dealing with a former Deputy Prime Minister, and I am giving him a second chance, but I kindly ask that this trust not be abused - Michał Szczerba said in Polsat News.

20:17

Grabiec Promises: Everyone Subject to Expropriation Will Receive Fair Compensation
- PiS did not prepare a thorough economic analysis of whether [CPK] is beneficial for Poles. [...] Since PiS did not conduct this economic analysis, thinking only in PR terms, we must carry out this economic analysis and situational assessment - said Jan Grabiec on TVN24's "Tak jest" program. - Since the Prime Minister will announce it in June, I cannot say today what the outcome of this analysis, conducted within the ministries and the company itself, will be. But it will be based on a common-sense assessment - he continued. - What I can certainly promise is that everyone who has to be expropriated, whether in connection with a railway, airport, road, or motorway investment, will receive fair compensation - he assured.

20:58

Kierwiński:

I am convinced that many PiS politicians will end up in the dock
- In the elections on October 15, they said they wanted a state of law, so we are doing all of this in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure. It takes some time, but I am convinced that many PiS politicians will end up in the dock - stated Marcin Kierwiński on TVP Info.

21:01

Causing a Spectacle in the Final Week of the Election Campaign is Despicable. Schreiber Defends Obajtek
- Everyone should appear before the investigative committee when possible, and the leader of our party, the leader of the opposition, has already appeared several times. He does not evade this, and others [Obajtek] also do not evade it. However, causing a spectacle and playing in an orchestra in the final week of the election campaign is despicable – stated Łukasz Schreiber in the program "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24.

21:03

Budka:

Over 8 Years, Poland Saw a Para-Mafia System for Siphoning Funds
- Over the course of 8 years, a para-mafia system was established in Poland, designed to siphon money to friends, and friends of friends. Respirators from an arms dealer weren't enough for them; they moved on to generators amid the war in Ukraine. My role is to appeal to Poles not to elect people to the European Parliament who have turned public assets into a source of personal gain over the last 8 years. I am grateful for the materials that will emerge, as it's crucial to show that those who could prostrate themselves in pilgrimage to Częstochowa, speaking of great values, simultaneously profited immensely from human suffering – Borys Budka said on TVN24.

21:31

Kierwiński:

I Wonder When Kaczyński Will Oust Sovereign Poland Politicians
I wonder when Jarosław Kaczyński will oust the politicians of Sovereign Poland. Because if he doesn't, it means he himself is very deeply involved in the Justice Fund arrangement – stated Marcin Kierwiński on TVP Info.

Błaszczak on the Border Situation: 'If Media Reports Are Confirmed, We Are Dealing with an Absolute Scandal'

- If media reports are confirmed regarding the detention and charging of soldiers solely for firing warning shots at the border with Belarus, then we are dealing with an absolute scandal. The Polish state has a duty to stand firmly behind the defenders of its borders. Soldiers cannot, on one hand, be exposed to physical attacks from migrants, and on the other, face legal consequences from Bodnar's prosecution office - wrote Mariusz Błaszczak on Twitter.
