At 10:00, the investigative committee on envelope elections will hear testimony from Maciej Biernat, former CEO of the Polish Security Printing Works S.A. from 2018-2023, and former Minister of Interior and Administration Mariusz Kamiński.

Also at 10:00, a conference inaugurating recruitment for the 4th edition of "Campus Polska Przyszłości" will begin, with the participation of Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski.

At 12:00, the extraordinary committee for the consideration of draft laws concerning the right to abortion will convene to consider a motion to adopt a resolution on holding a public hearing – a total of 4 projects are involved, two authored by Lewica and two by KO and Trzecia Droga.

At 14:35, Prime Minister Donald Tusk and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg are scheduled to welcome the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Rishi Sunak, at the 1st Warsaw Armoured Brigade named after General Tadeusz Kościuszko. At 14:40, a meeting of delegations will commence.

At 17:00, Prime Minister Tusk will welcome Prime Minister Sunak at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM), and at 17:05, a meeting of the prime ministers will begin. Around 17:50, statements to the media are planned, followed at 18:15 by a meeting of delegations.

President Andrzej Duda continues his visit to Canada. A briefing for Polish media will start at 19:50 Polish time. In today's schedule, PAD also includes participation in the opening session of the Canadian Hydrogen Convention, a meeting with representatives of Canadian hydrogen companies, and a visit to the Polish pavilion (PAIH) at the "Made in Poland" Hydrogen Convention.

Tomczyk:

President Duda Once Again Presents an International Initiative Without Consulting the Government
- The government says: more action, less talk, and it is certainly surprising that President Duda, once again, is coming forward with an international initiative without actually talking to the government. I think that first there should be a conversation, and then an initiative, and that should be the proper order, especially since it is the government that conducts foreign policy - said Cezary Tomczyk in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24, when asked about President Andrzej Duda's words regarding Poland's participation in Nuclear Sharing. - If we are moving something to the political level, meaning the head of state communicates something effectively on television, it should always have been agreed upon beforehand with the government; that is the order of things, but also with our allies. […] We cannot surprise our allies - he continued.

08:24

Gliński:

Sienkiewicz Acts Like an UB Colonel
A wave of dictatorial decisions based on brute force is occurring. Directors are being dismissed, media are being forcefully taken over, because these are the expectations of Lieutenant Colonel Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz. I call him that because he [Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz] acts like an UB lieutenant colonel; this is a journalistic term, such terms are often used in politics. I haven't heard any sensible plans for Culture yet; the ministry has no positive plans. I sometimes hear ideas from Ms. Scheuring-Wielgus, and then I write an interpellation regarding the words of this deputy minister. They respond to me on a completely different topic - said Piotr Gliński in the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:26

Gliński on the Current Government: It's a Dictatorship Presenting a Slide Away from Democracy

- There are different dictatorships, some softer or more brutal. Now, this is a dictatorship that presents a slide away from democracy. The elections on October 15th were democratic, of course, but the external forces of some countries and institutions were also significant, which probably decided the change, but one can say that an electoral act took place - said Piotr Gliński on Polsat News's "Graffiti" program.

08:27

Tomczyk:

When we talk with allies, 99% of agreements are made before we announce a decision. Doing it the other way around shows our weakness rather than strength
- We take security matters seriously. And it's truly the case that when we talk, for example, with our friends from France, Germany, or the USA, 99% of agreements are made before we announce a decision or before we announce our intention. If we do it the other way around, it indicates our weakness rather than strength - said Cezary Tomczyk in the "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24. - You won't persuade me with arguments against [Poland's participation in Nuclear Sharing], because we are talking about very serious matters. […] One thing we are sure of, let's agree on this, that serious security matters - whether it's the stationing of troops from another country or the issue of nuclear weapons - are not a television matter. It is an issue that requires agreement between the government and the president, at the highest possible level, with the participation of our allies - he continued.

08:38

Gliński:

TVP Under Kurski Attacked Me Once, But If We Agree to Work Together, We Must Stand United
I don't want to create divisions within our political camp. We must forge unity, even from elements that are different from each other, often distinct. I had my issues with Jacek Kurski, because even public television led by Jacek Kurski attacked me at one point, but I believe that if we agree to work together, there is a common denominator that concerns reclaiming Poland from the hands of people who do not understand Polish politics and are pursuing the national interest of other European powers, not Polish ones. Then we must be united - said Piotr Gliński in the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:38

Tomczyk:

The problem is that today the president is rather implementing the decisions of the previous government
- I will tell you what the problem is. Today, President Duda is rather implementing the decisions of the previous government. The problem is that President Duda is deeply politically engaged and politically engaged in the theses he once received from Minister Błaszczak or his predecessor - said Cezary Tomczyk in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:46

Tomczyk on European Parliament Lists: There Will Be Surprises, There Will Be Significant Figures – That's How It Must Be, Because We Want to Win These Elections
- Tomorrow at 8:30 AM, we have a national board meeting where we will approve the full composition of the electoral lists. This is because we will likely want to register the first lists on Thursday. The European elections are very important. Certainly, at the forefront of these lists must be figures who will be able to lead these lists and win the elections – said Cezary Tomczyk in the "Piasecki Conversation" on TVN24. - We are fighting for victory in these elections. Our position in Europe depends on the representation we will have in the European Parliament. Today, as members of the EPP, we co-govern Europe, and the more KO parliamentarians are in our political group, the more our Polish government has a say in Europe itself, so these elections are very important – he continued. - There will be surprises, there will be significant figures, and that's how it must be, because we want to win these elections – he emphasized.

08:46

Wieczorek on Nuclear Sharing: I have the impression the President is jumping the gun a bit
- This is a decision for NATO and the United States, it's not just our decision. I'm dodging because these are serious matters, you can't just throw around 'oh, we should have it' or 'we shouldn't have it' in the ether - Dariusz Wieczorek said in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia ZET", when asked whether Poland should have nuclear weapons. - I have the impression that the President is jumping the gun a bit, because the truth is that such statements should be agreed upon with the Prime Minister, with the government, with the military command. These are serious decisions that should be made by professionals - he continued. - At this moment, we need to sit down seriously, talk, because perhaps the President knows something more that the Prime Minister, for example, doesn't know. Therefore, before such declarations, even if they are only of an intentionary nature, these matters must absolutely be settled - he went on to say.

08:50

Wieczorek on the Left's Election Results: If You Don't Have What You Like, You Like What You Have
- Of course, it could have been better, but as the old Polish proverb says, if you don't have what you like, you like what you have. If you don't have 10%, you have 6% - said Dariusz Wieczorek on Radio ZET, when asked if he was frustrated by the Left's election results. - These elections are always difficult for the Left; after all, five years ago it was also 6% - he continued.

08:54

Wieczorek:

After This Electoral Triple Jump, We Need to Consider How New Left Should Function Going Forward
- In two months, there are European Parliament elections. The leadership should not be changed at such a moment, as it will not lead to anything good. However, the truth is that after this electoral triple jump, we will truly need to sit down seriously and consider how New Left should function going forward - said Dariusz Wieczorek on Radio ZET.

09:00

Wieczorek on EP Elections: Cimoszewicz is Ready to Run; Party Board Meeting on Friday for Final Decisions
- Yesterday I spoke with Prime Minister Cimoszewicz, he is in a very good mood, he is also waiting for decisions, there will be decisions from the party leadership, [...] meaning on Friday the board will meet and there will be final decisions, he is ready to run, the question now is only from where and which constituency, we have many voivodeships, many regions, I would be proud if the Prime Minister ran from Zachodniopomorskie, but these are his decisions and the decisions of the party leadership - said Dariusz Wieczorek on Radio ZET.

09:00

Zgorzelski on EP Candidates: Definitely Hetman, Very Likely Sienkiewicz

Krzysztof Hetman has certainly announced his decision, and I think that in the case of this parliamentarian, it is fully justified and, I would say, deserved, because by relinquishing part of his EP term, he returned to the country. He won a mandate in a difficult constituency on the eastern border, so he helped and made victory over PiS more probable – stated Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Renata Grochal on the program "Bez uników" PR3.

You, the editor, have a better grasp of the [list of] names than I do, although the names you mentioned are very probable, especially concerning Minister Sienkiewicz; as for Minister Budka, I don't know – he added.

This is not an escape; it's a specific program for securing Poland's interests in the EU through strong representation. If we lose these elections, should we lose them, which, of course, will not happen, then one can say that this group of Eurosceptics will simply grow, and they will play for the dismantling of the EU – he continued.

09:02

Zgorzelski:

We Won the Local Elections. 11 Regional Assemblies are Possible, and Perhaps Even More

- We won these local elections primarily because, together with the democratic parties' coalition groups, we will increase our holdings in terms of regional assemblies. This is realistic. As a coalition of democratic parties, 11 regional assemblies are possible, and perhaps even more. We are working on this because it is worthwhile to create a sort of transmission belt between the Marshal, who comes from the family of democratic parties, and the government, for the transmission of good news under the name of the KPO – said Piotr Zgorzelski on PR3.

09:14

Wieczorek:

Issuing Visas for Students Who Rarely Attended University Will Likely Become a Scandal. Tens of Thousands May Have Entered Poland This Way.
- This is another matter that will probably have to be explained by this commission [on the visa scandal] and by the prosecutor's office, namely the procedure of issuing visas to students who did not come to Poland for studies at all, but went somewhere else within the European Union. [...] I think this will become a scandal. The way it works is that often some kind of pseudo-universities were established, which were not actually involved in education, but only applied to recruit foreign students who came forward [...] often they did not appear at these universities at all and simply went further out into the world - said Dariusz Wieczorek on Radio ZET. - I see this today, and I can say it, because there are a lot of applications from universities whose names I can't even mention [...] [we are talking] about Polish universities that announce recruitments and apply to the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the Ministry of Science for permission to accept foreign students, so here, together with Minister Kierwiński, we are already very carefully monitoring what kind of universities these are, and we have established a team that has been working for two months on sealing this system and on visa scandals concerning students - he continued. - I think it's tens of thousands of people. [...] Over a period of several years - he added, when asked how many people may have illegally entered Poland in this way.

09:16

Wieczorek Asked if "Launching the Abortion Topic" Was a Mistake by the Left: In My Opinion, Yes
- In my opinion, yes - said Dariusz Wieczorek on Radio ZET, when asked if "launching the abortion topic" was a mistake by the Left.

09:23

Wieczorek on Left's Split: 'I'm Reassuring, Nothing's Going On, but New Left and Together are Two Different Parties, We Disagree on, for Example, the 0% Loan'
- I'm reassuring, nothing's going on [regarding the Left's split], but we are talking about two distinct parties that have their own programs, and it's not a uniform, homogenous program, because if it were a uniform, homogenous program, we'd probably all be in one party. These are two different parties, and we have different opinions on, for instance, the 0% loan, so the Together party has the right to its assessments - said Dariusz Wieczorek on Radio ZET.

Recruitment Opens for the 4th Edition of Campus Polska Przyszłości: "It's Important to Provide Young People with a Platform to Present Their Views"
- Campus Polska Przyszłości is an unprecedented event, the largest of its kind in our part of Europe. It's a social festival, a political festival, to which we primarily invite young people. We talk to them about the future and through this, we are able to change Polish politics. I am very pleased that we are consistent; we said we would organize Campus every year, and that is exactly what is happening. We are currently preparing the fourth edition of Campus Polska Przyszłości and are starting the recruitment process - said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference. - Last year, Campus took place in truly extraordinary circumstances because it was in the middle of an election campaign, but we managed, above all, to do what we promised, namely to maintain the tradition, ensure full independence, and lead to Campus once again becoming a place where all democratic political forces meet and are able to exchange views with each other […]. It will be exactly the same in the fourth edition of Campus - he continued. - We all saw that young people turned out in large numbers for the elections on October 15th, and in a sense, they, along with women and girls, tipped the scales regarding the election results. However, in the local government elections, unfortunately, the turnout was lower, and consequently, lower for the young generation. This shows how important it is to talk to young people, to provide them with a platform to present their views, because this has a direct impact on politics - he emphasized. Campus will take place in Olsztyn from August 23rd to 29th. Recruitment begins today and will last until May 12th. The organizers intend to invite 1300 participants aged 18-35 to the event.

12:14

Mastalerek:

I am surprised by Tusk's surprise. Duda is consistent on Nuclear Sharing matters

- I am surprised by Prime Minister Tusk's surprise. Perhaps he hasn't been following President Duda's information and statements, but President Duda is consistent on Nuclear Sharing matters and has spoken about it many times. In 2022, this topic was raised much earlier, and I am also surprised by Prime Minister Tusk's surprise. I don't quite understand how Prime Minister Tusk and his associates would want to deny the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces the right to speak on matters of Polish security – stated Marcin Mastalerek in Fakt Live.

12:16

Mastalerek:

On Polish Security, Tusk Should Follow Duda's Path and Say 'America, America, America,' Not 'Deutschland, Deutschland, Deutschland'

- On matters of Polish security, he should emulate and follow the path of President Duda and should say: America, America, America, not Deutschland, Deutschland, Deutschland, because Germany will not ensure Poland's security, and I would rather advise Prime Minister Tusk to follow President Duda's path - stated Marcin Mastalerek on Fakt Live.

12:34

Mastalerek:

If I wanted to be malicious, I'd tell Gliński that without my 2015 work, he'd never have been Deputy Prime Minister and Minister.

- I do not participate in internal games. If I wanted to be malicious, I would tell Professor Gliński that without my work in 2015, he would never have been Deputy Prime Minister and Minister; he would have been a beneficiary after 2015, and if I wanted to be even more malicious, I would say that if Jarosław Kaczyński had fielded Piotr Gliński, as he stated in many interviews in 2014, there would have been no victory in 2015 - stated Marcin Mastalerek in Fakt Live.

Public Hearing on Abortion Bills Scheduled. Committee Makes Decision

The extraordinary parliamentary committee for considering bills on the right to terminate a pregnancy has adopted a motion to hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 16th, at 10:00 AM, concerning four draft laws on abortion. These include two projects authored by Lewica, as well as those from KO and Trzecia Droga.

- We are fully aware that these projects are highly anticipated by a vast majority of society, provoking exceptional interest, but also social emotions. We want the social side to participate in the law-making process […]. In accordance with the regulations, every organization, every female citizen, every male citizen will have the right to register. Information will be available on the parliamentary websites, and the process will be clear and transparent - said the committee chairwoman, Dorota Łoboda.

13:35

Błaszczak:

PiS Strongly Supports Poland's Participation in Nuclear Sharing Program

- PiS strongly supports Poland's participation in the Nuclear Sharing program. We believe that President Andrzej Duda has rightly raised this issue right now. Poland's participation in Nuclear Sharing will certainly strengthen our homeland's security, which is particularly important in today's times, when a war is being fought on our eastern border. Therefore, we must continue the process of arming the Polish Army, which PiS initiated when we were in power - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

13:40

Błaszczak:

The Right Time for PM Tusk to Ask NATO Secretary General for Poland's Participation in the Nuclear Sharing Program

- This is the right time for Prime Minister Tusk to ask the NATO Secretary General for Poland's participation in this program. This matter should also be raised during a conversation with Mr. Sunak. As we know, three states of the North Atlantic Alliance possess nuclear weapons (...) and states that are part of the Nuclear Sharing program, which have the capability to deliver nuclear weapons owned by the United States - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

13:44

Błaszczak:

Those Claiming Nuclear Sharing is a Threat to the State Harm Poland

- Discussions have been ongoing for many years; there's nothing new here. If the current government is raising this argument, it only shows that they are preparing Poland for a reset 2.0 with Russia. This matter has come up many times in various forums, in discussions with our American partners. Therefore, if those in power today approach this program with reservation, it reflects poorly on them. It indicates that they say one thing, speaking of the danger to Poland from Russia – which is true – but do another. They do not strengthen Poland's position but are influenced by theories, which their politicians have indeed voiced and are now returning to, that Poland's participation in Nuclear Sharing poses a threat to our country from Russia. This is an absurd theory. It's a theory that shows that those who espouse it are simply acting to Poland's detriment – stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

13:45

Błaszczak on EP Elections: Lists are Still Being Prepared, I Think They Will Be Ready by the End of This Week

- Lists are still being prepared, I think they will be ready by the end of this week – Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference.

14:54

Kamiński leaves the room during interrogation by the investigation committee:

You are a pig.
- I would like to ask you why, during a meeting at Prime Minister Morawiecki's villa on Parkowa Street, you flew into such a rage that Jarosław Kaczyński himself had to calm you down [...] I would like to ask you directly, whether you were under the influence of medication or intoxicating substances, in short, whether you were sober, because [...] it is difficult to imagine that a boss, a coordinator of special services, could become so emotional - these were the words Dariusz Joński addressed to Mariusz Kamiński during his interrogation by the investigation committee on the envelope election. - You are a pig - Mariusz Kamiński replied, and then left the room.

14:55

Kamiński:

Monstrous Insinuations Based on Lies. This is Not How Witnesses Should Be Treated

- I implore you, these are monstrous insinuations based on lies. And this man started to insult and offend me, saying I was under the influence of alcohol at some meetings. These words have never been uttered before. This is simply unprecedented, it's a terrible scandal. This is not how witnesses should be treated. I am simply outraged, it is unserious and inappropriate - stated Mariusz Kamiński in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

15:00

Kamiński Returns to Investigative Committee Hearing:

Your Questions are Insulting, Insidious.

- Your questions are insulting, insidious. I have answered this question [whether he intimidated politicians from Porozumienie or other parties or public officials]. Of course not - stated Mariusz Kamiński during the investigative committee hearing on envelope elections. Earlier, the former head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration filed a motion to exclude Dariusz Joński from the session, but it did not receive a majority.

15:14

Kamiński:

Ballot Papers Were Very Well, Professionally Secured; If Copied, Their Shade Would Change
- The ballot papers were very well secured, among other things, with anti-copying ink. If a ballot paper prepared by the Polish Security Printing Works had been photocopied, the colors of that paper would have changed their shade. It was excellently, professionally secured in four ways - Mariusz Kamiński told the investigative committee on envelope elections.

18:32

Tusk:

Our shared intention is for a coordinated security policy to emerge, encompassing the entire continent and Great Britain

It is no coincidence that Great Britain, also thanks to the personal commitment of Prime Minister Sunak, and Poland represent a truly excellent example of good cooperation and coordinated action. As you can imagine, we discussed strengthening our cooperation within the formats in which both Great Britain and Poland already operate regarding defense. You also remember how much discussion and emotion our declaration to join the European Sky Shield Initiative generated. I am very pleased that we will cooperate more in this initiative than before, with our British friends and partners, just as we traditionally cooperate well and very intensively within the framework of the British Diamond initiative, which also serves our security – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a press statement.

There is no doubt that from these various initiatives in which both our states are active, a coordinated security policy must immediately emerge, one that encompasses the entire continent and Great Britain. And we must end, and this is our shared intention, this period of certain competition and rivalry between different initiatives for the defense of Europe and Great Britain. Because what we need today, not only what we are doing very well – and I am referring here to British equipment and the readiness of Britons to engage directly in the defense of our skies – but we must also persuade all our partners to fully coordinate systems, equipment, and security policies – he continued.

19:01

Sunak on Poland: "We are allies forever, two military powers helping Ukraine"

- We are allies forever, I hope I said that well, exactly allies forever, and in Great Britain we will never forget that it was Polish pilots who saved our lives fighting in our skies. We are great military powers that are helping Ukraine; for two years we have been helping Poland's neighbors. Regarding our military aid, we want to help even more, which is why I spoke about additional aid of half a million pounds, so that we can further assist in financing the purchase of equipment – stated Rishi Sunak at a press briefing in Warsaw.

19:28

Sunak:

Typhoon Jets Will Patrol Polish Airspace, We Also Want to Send 16,000 Soldiers to Poland

- We also discussed the capabilities of the defense industry together; we are building frigates and a new defense system that will defend the airspace over Poland. As I said, we will strengthen our cooperation in all formats so that we can work together on the most important aspects of air defense. We will also bring Typhoon jets here, which will patrol Polish airspace, support Poland, and we will contribute to this. We also want to send 16,000 soldiers as part of the UK's support, because we know that Poland is at the heart of ensuring the security of all of Europe – said Rishi Sunak at a press briefing in Warsaw.

19:50

Hennig-Kloska:

I'm Unaware of Any Plans for My Dismissal. So Far, I Haven't Heard Any Objections from the Prime Minister
- I'm unaware of anything of that sort happening. [...] So far, I haven't heard any objections from the Prime Minister. The last time we met was to discuss the energy price act. It was a productive meeting, two weeks ago - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in "Gość Radia ZET," when asked about her potential dismissal.

19:58

Hennig-Kloska:

There Will Be No Tax on the Energy Voucher
- This will be supplemented in the act, because of course, it is not our goal to tax this [energy] voucher. It is a minor provision in this act, excluding the burden from this voucher - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on "Gość Radia ZET".

20:13

Hennig-Kloska:

Energy Voucher to Reach Approx. 3.5 Million Households, Paid Out Once in the Second Half of the Year
- At this stage, the shape of the act looks like this: we have a maximum energy price of 500 zlotys, and it will cover all retail customers at this level. A slightly higher maximum amount at the current level of 693 [zlotys] - the same as applied in the first half of the year - is intended for local government units, budgetary units such as hospitals, and small and medium-sized enterprises - Paulina Hennig-Kloska said on "Gość Radia ZET". - There will also be compensations for energy companies in this regard […]. Households with lower incomes will additionally receive an energy voucher, which we estimate will cover about 3.5 million households. This is a form of support for those individuals for whom heating and energy costs represent too large a portion of their total household income - she explained. - It [the energy voucher] will be paid out once for the second half of the year. This is the plan assumed in the act - she added.

20:27

Hennig-Kloska on EP Elections: We Estimate, and Polls and Forecasts Show This, That Third Way Will Win 7 Seats, Including 4 for PL2050
- Tomorrow, the board of Poland 2050 meets to approve the [EP] lists, and we have a week until the final registration - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on "Gość Radia ZET". - Certainly, one of the important locomotives will be Michał Kobosko. […] There is a high probability that the chairman [Mirosław] Suchoń will also run in these EP elections from the Silesian Voivodeship. […] Naturally, [Róża Thun] will likely seek re-election. I am not aware of any information that the MEP has resigned from running in the upcoming elections - she continued. - We estimate, and various studies and forecasts show this, that within the Third Way, we will win approximately seven seats in total, for Poland 2050 and the PSL. We estimate that four of these seats may go to Poland 2050. This is our plan - she continued.

20:31

Duda:

I invited Canadian and other investors to our country
- A very important element for me today was participating in the Hydrogen Convention, a huge event here in Edmonton, indeed organized by Canadians [...]. There is a large representation of our Polish business here, including PESA, which is proudly showcasing its hydrogen locomotive here, one of the absolute first in the world [...]. I also invited Canadian and other investors to our country [...]. We are currently undergoing a long process of energy transformation in Poland, and taking part in this energy transformation process, sharing with us your discoveries, technologies proposed by various companies from Canada and around the world, will certainly be very valuable for us too - said President Andrzej Duda at a press conference.

20:32

Siewiera:

President Duda's stance concerns Poland's readiness to host allied nuclear weapons

- Indeed, when asked about the issue of utilizing and joining the Nuclear Sharing program, the President presented the stance of the Polish state, which has been in place over recent years in discussions about Nuclear Sharing, which has emerged several times in previous years. President Duda's stance concerns the state's readiness, should allies deem such a step appropriate and joining the program to be in line with the North Atlantic Alliance's deterrence policy – stated Jacek Siewiera in an interview with Monika Olejnik on the TVN24 program "Kropka nad i".

20:45

Duda:

We Must Strengthen Ourselves So No One Dares to Attack Us. Euro-Atlantic Cooperation Serves This Purpose; We Were in the USA and Canada to Strengthen It
- There were many political meetings, and the one with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Vancouver undoubtedly carried the greatest political weight. We discussed issues related to security in a broad, global context, and of course, support for Ukraine, which is extremely important to the Canadian authorities. I spoke about the current situation on the front lines, and I reported on my recent meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy. We also talked about the upcoming NATO summit in Washington and what resolutions it would be good for the summit to adopt - President Andrzej Duda said at a press conference. - I also spoke about my proposal to increase defense spending by NATO member states to a minimum of 3% of GDP. Canada is increasing its defense spending; these are the decisions of the Canadian authorities recently. I am glad that today in Warsaw, the British government's decision to increase defense spending to 2.5% of GDP was also announced. This is the right direction. I am satisfied and happy that it is being implemented - he continued. - I have absolute certainty that strengthening defense spending and bolstering the military capabilities of NATO countries is the best way to secure and ensure peace for the future, to deter potential aggressors. Today, the primary aggressor is Russia, which attacked Ukraine. We must strengthen ourselves so that no one dares to attack us. Euro-Atlantic cooperation serves this purpose today. We were in both the United States and Canada precisely to strengthen it, for the security of Poland, for the security of our part of Europe, and for maintaining peace in the world - he went on to say.

20:53

Duda:

NATO's Most Effective Response to Russia's Actions is Western Military Reinforcement, Including Ours, in Every Possible Way
- Today, when imperial tendencies have reawakened in Russia, today, when it is Russia that is shifting the borders of its nuclear potential towards the West [...] the most effective response that NATO can provide is precisely the military strengthening of the West, including us today, as part of the North Atlantic Alliance, in all possible ways so as to be able to respond adequately in the event of Russian aggression - said President Andrzej Duda at a press conference. - I believe that it is precisely this strengthening that will ensure that this aggression never occurs, because Russia will be afraid to attack a strong, resilient West that demonstrates its defensive capabilities - he continued.

20:56

Siewiera on the "Iron Dome": If We Are Beneficiaries, Not Payers, It's Worth Considering

-If the offer from the project organizer concerns joint participation in a program utilizing the Arrow system, and if this offer is taken into account, involving defense industry products in the offer for our allies. Meaning, if we are beneficiaries of this project, not just payers, then it is definitely worth considering - stated Jacek Siewiera on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" program.
