Kidawa-Błońska:
Senate to Work on Credit Holidays, Village Head Benefits, and Municipal Self-Government Act
- We are about to begin the 10th session of the Senate. It's no coincidence that the NATO flags and these display boards are behind me today, because at 12:00 PM we will open an exhibition marking the 25th anniversary of Poland's accession to NATO [...]. Today, very interesting bills will be worked on by the Senate. The first one, which people with loans who have found themselves in a difficult situation are waiting for, is the bill extending credit holidays for the current year [...]. For the first time in this term, we will address a Senate initiative concerning an increase in financial benefits for village heads (sołtysi) - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at a press conference.
- The next bill protecting health from the effects of tobacco and tobacco product use, and a bill amending the act on municipal self-government [...] in a situation where there are elections and a village head (wójt) or mayor (burmistrz) is appointed to the position of a member of parliament or senator, a commissioner was previously appointed; now, until new elections, the first deputy will fulfill this role. A very important bill will also be the ratification of the protocol expanding Polish-Ukrainian legal aid. This change will contribute to improving law observance and security in our country, as well as the way sentences or punishments are served by Ukrainian citizens - she continued.
