Donald Tusk has been included in the list of the 100 most influential people of 2024, compiled by the American weekly "Time". The Polish Prime Minister was recognized in the "leaders" category, as one of 24 individuals.

A laudatory text in honor of Donald Tusk was written by Ursula von der Leyen.

"Donald Tusk has answered two questions that could not be more timely: how can we defeat populists? How can we stop the erosion of democracy and the rule of law? [...] After former Polish anti-communist activists took power in 2015 and began to undermine the rule of law and Poland's ties with the European Union, he took up the challenge. In 2021, he once again became the leader of the party he founded in 2001, and in 2023, in a fair and democratic contest, he regained power in his country," wrote the President of the European Commission.

"Donald Tusk is a political marathon runner. He has taught us all that it is never too late and that it is worth making every effort to stand up for our democracy," she concluded.
