Halicki Appeals to Świrski: Don't Sabotage Polish Media
I appeal to Mr. Maciej Świrski not to sabotage Polish media. These are socially important media, something he himself often mentioned in the past. Mr. Świrski has no right to unilaterally block and sabotage the financing of public media. Fortunately, the standards society expects have returned, meaning the hate speech has ceased - stated Andrzej Halicki on the PR1 program 'Sygnały dnia'.

07:57

Halicki on the Migration Pact: The Government Will Submit at Least Several Remarks on Individual Elements of This Pact
There are two years for implementation. The decision at the government level on April 29, and the government will submit at least several remarks on individual elements of this pact… The most important things must concern the protection of external borders, their financing, and supporting these processes, where the creation of a database [in Warsaw]. In addition, we must ensure that much larger allocations go to the Solidarity Fund – stated Andrzej Halicki on the program “Sygnały dnia” PR1.

08:01

Mastalerek:

It's hard not to agree with Tusk. There's no direct threat to Poland and no reason to convene the National Security Council at this moment.
- This is not a good idea [convening the RBN]. Because we need to calm the situation in Poland. The RBN has so far convened on matters crucial to Polish security. It's hard not to agree with Prime Minister Tusk here – there is no direct threat to Poland, and there is no reason to convene the RBN at this moment – stated Marcin Mastalerek in the "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

Buda on Potential European Parliament Election Clash: I neither confirm nor deny, no decisions have been made yet. I am at the disposal of the party.
- I neither confirm nor deny, but certainly, no decisions have been made on this matter yet - stated Waldemar Buda in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti," when asked about a potential run in the European Parliament elections. - I am at the disposal of my party and President Jarosław Kaczyński. If, based on my election results, someone concludes that I can be utilized in the European elections, then of course I will run. If not, that's also not a problem - he continued.

08:08

Mastalerek:

If Constitutional Tribunal Rules, President Will No Longer Subsequently Refer Bills to It

- As far as I know, and I have spoken with Minister Paprocka, if a Constitutional Tribunal ruling is made, the president will no longer subsequently refer these bills to the TK. I don't think such a ruling would impact whether a bill is in effect or not. I don't know what the ruling will be, but I think that today the majority is so large that it would not affect whether a bill is in effect or not, only the procedure for its adoption - stated Marcin Mastalerek in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:09

Buda:

European Parliament Elections Will Determine Winners and Losers for the Next Year and a Half
- The European Parliament elections will determine who is a winner and who is a loser for the next year and a half leading up to the presidential elections, and in my opinion, it is in the interest of every party to show that we are winning the European elections. In this case, only Law and Justice and Civic Coalition count - said Waldemar Buda on Polsat News. - It is extremely important, one could say mentally, for all activists etc., that, for example, Law and Justice emerges from this difficult period. Local government elections went much better than expected, and winning the European [Parliament] elections would be a great starting point - he continued.

08:12

Mastalerek:

Even Tusk Realizes the President Won't Sign This

- Do you remember Prime Minister Tusk's statement? Even he realizes that the president will not sign these laws, he said so publicly. How do you imagine a situation where someone says to the president that your nominees cannot now, it excludes the rights of people whom the president nominated and would want him to sign it? Even Prime Minister Tusk said it was impossible, that the president would sign it. To my knowledge, the president has not yet made a decision, but I cannot imagine it, and even Donald Tusk spoke about it, saying he cannot imagine it. I don't know why these laws are being processed - stated Marcin Mastalerek in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:15

Mastalerek:

The President Will Not Be a Smoke Screen for Coalition Squabbles

- The President will not allow himself to be made into someone behind whom the quarrels between the Left and Third Way will be hidden. There are four bills, and for now, there is a quarrel within the coalition. We talked about this from the very beginning, that nothing unites this coalition. There are vulgar insults directed at Marshal Hołownia from the Left, and today the president is supposed to be the one to provide a smoke screen and say: I won't sign it anyway. The President will not be a smoke screen for the coalition's squabbles - stated Marcin Mastalerek in the "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:16

Buda on "Apartment for Start": I would decide to set a price per square meter limit
- When constructing this type of program, I would today decide to set a price per square meter limit. Then there will be no room for apartment price increases, so that they remain reasonably accessible for the average Jan Kowalski - said Waldemar Buda on Polsat News, when asked about the "Na start" housing program. - I believe that apartments in the center of Warsaw, luxury apartments, should not be available within this program. This is not a program to support the construction or purchase of luxury apartments, but of regular apartments, so these can be apartments of average, normal market standard. Therefore, I believe that a price per square meter should appear in this program; then it would be possible to curb developers' desire to increase prices - he continued.

08:21

Mastalerek:

Tusk Suffered Trauma in 2005 After Losing Presidential Election, Hence His Hesitation to Run Now

- I believe that Donald Tusk experienced a trauma in 2005 when he lost the presidential election, which is why he is now contemplating whether to run or not. Naturally, the fear of losing… I know that in 2020, because I spoke with the President, he wanted to compete against him. Today, presidential elections will take place at a time of war on our border; the world is dangerous. I believe, and this is my personal opinion, that certain assumptions about who will be or who should be a candidate, referring to, for example, the popular local government official Rafał Trzaskowski being a good candidate in 2020, may not necessarily reflect reality now - stated Marcin Mastalerek in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:25

Buda:

Zero VAT on Food Should Be Maintained for at Least Another Year
- It cannot be the case that VAT is lowered on other, exclusive products, while it is raised on those that affect the poorest. Food constitutes 27% of the expenditure basket of the poorest households - said Waldemar Buda on Polsat News. - We cannot allow inflation to fall for 14 months and then, through a decision to increase VAT on food, we raise this inflation. No [VAT on food should not be restored] at a time when there is a gigantic problem with disposable income today [...] food generates inflation at the level of 1% of all products. [...] Until now, inflation was generated, one could say, by 'Putin-inflation', whereas this is the first decision that raises inflation by the decision of the Polish government - he continued. - In my opinion, it should calmly be maintained for at least another year because it supports the poorest households - he added.

08:39

Buda:

The Energy Voucher is No Solution, Costing PLN 1.7 Billion; We Proposed PLN 12 Billion. I Advise Hennig-Kloska to Get to Work
- There was supposed to be some protective package, an energy voucher. What turns out to be the case: two pensioners with average pensions won't even get it, two people on minimum wage, a married couple, won't receive this voucher. So the price increase is very real, only they're not talking about it today because there are still elections, and I'm pointing this out earlier. So perhaps there will be some reflection - said Waldemar Buda on Polsat News. - If it were to cover [the energy voucher for 3.5 million households], please, 300 zlotys with a 1500 zloty price increase. For a pensioner, it will be a drama [...]. What has been proposed today with the energy voucher is no solution, it's a saving, because please remember that in this act, it is shown that the cost of the energy voucher is 1.7 billion [zlotys], while we proposed 12 [billion zlotys]. So you can see what kind of support this is, what a difference there is. It's cosmetic, what Ms. Hennig-Kloska is proposing today, I advise her to get to work - he continued.

08:46

Mastalerek:

This Result is the Same as Six Months Ago in the Parliamentary Elections, but the Situation Has Changed

- This result is the same as six months ago in the parliamentary elections, but the situation has changed. Six months ago, this same result was a great victory for Civic Platform, The Left, and Poland 2050. Now, the same result in different circumstances is a victory for PiS. And if this result were to be repeated in the European elections, it would also be a victory for PiS, but if this result were to be translated to future presidential and parliamentary elections, it would again be a great victory for Civic Platform, The Left, and Poland 2050 - stated Marcin Mastalerek in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:47

Mastalerek on Kurski: If Such a Return Happens, It Pushes PiS Further from Taking Power

- As someone who has always voted for PiS since I was 18, if such a return [by Jacek Kurski] happens, I believe it pushes PiS further from taking power. I think so, that then PiS's return will be ever more distant – stated Marcin Mastalerek in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

09:48

Trela on Pegasus: I Have Information That at the Peak, Nearly 200 People May Have Been Wiretapped
- I have information that at such a peak moment, nearly 200 people may have even been wiretapped. The question is, what is the scale of these illegal political wiretaps? [...] we are investigating everything from a political, formal, and decision-making perspective. From the initial witness testimonies, it appears that everything was very well put together to have a tool that could be used for political warfare at the right moment. Because Mr. Minister Woś, former Deputy Minister of Justice, when he was asked very specific questions, he was very evasive, he was very cunning, he didn't remember some things, but in the end, he admitted that he participated in the reception of such software that the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau purchased in 2018 – stated Tomasz Trela in the program "Sygnały dnia" on PR1. - I believe that the deeper we go, the more interesting details we will find, and it seems to me that there will be names from both the then opposition and the then ruling party, meaning people from Jarosław Kaczyński's circle. The only question is how close to Jarosław Kaczyński's circle, and whether this network of holding individuals was meticulously prepared by Kaczyński and executed by Kamiński and Wąsik, or perhaps some accidental names crept in – he continued.

09:52

Trela:

The Dispute Wasn't Between Parties, It Was More About Hołownia's Approach to Women's Rights Bills; Friday Marks a New Opening
- The dispute wasn't between parties; the dispute was more about the approach of the leader of Poland 2050 to bills concerning women's rights. However, I believe that after Friday, we have a completely new opening. A major discussion and debate took place in the Sejm on Thursday, and voting occurred on Friday. All four bills have been sent to an extraordinary committee, which was, in fact, proposed by The Left for such a committee to be established, and it has been established. The Left has two representatives on this committee. Now, the speed at which we will see one bill, four bills, two bills, or three bills submitted for a final vote will depend on the work of this committee. However, I think we have shown that the October 15th coalition, despite some cracks, is functioning effectively – Tomasz Trela said in PR1.

09:55

Trela:

The Abortion Issue Will Most Likely Return After the Presidential Election
- Most likely, yes [the abortion issue will return after the presidential election], because Andrzej Duda, it is known what his approach is, unless he has a revelation, some metamorphosis has befallen him, but it is known what he is capable of signing, and what he is capable of vetoing, what he is capable of sending to the para-Constitutional Tribunal – stated Tomasz Trela on PR1.

10:05

Sawicki:

I expect appropriate steps from Kosiniak-Kamysz. I would be in favour of removing Protasiewicz from his deputy governor position
- One could say that if it weren't for the important position Jacek Protasiewicz holds, then spring would have affected this gentleman perhaps a bit too much, and parading his, shall we say, orientations and public excesses is completely pointless, this type of discussion simply... testifies to himself, and in a way, to us too, it's a cut-off, but I expect appropriate steps from the chairman [Kosiniak-Kamysz]. I would be in favour of a very restrictive approach to such behaviour and his removal from the deputy governor position - said Marek Sawicki in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on the Radio Plus program "Sedno Sprawy".

10:15

Sawicki on Kotula: If I Were Prime Minister, I Would of Course Dismiss Her
- If Ms. Kotula were to undertake such actions regarding, for example, contraception and promote it, and dedicate her time and talent to promoting contraception, I would even praise her - Marek Sawicki said on Radio Plus. - Contraception, not products. However, if we have a situation today where late contraception is attempted to be replaced by early abortion, and a minister is promoting something that, according to the law, according to the Constitution and statutes, is prohibited, and as you said, promoting specific products of a specific company, then I truly believe that the reports to the prosecutor's office are entirely justified. The test for the prosecutor's office, this our now free, apolitical prosecutor's office, will be whether it takes up this case and how it resolves it - he continued. - I am not the Prime Minister; Donald Tusk is the Prime Minister. If I were, I would of course dismiss her, because it is an action that is, on the one hand, unethical and promotes a specific company, and on the other hand, calls for killing. Of course, [she should be dismissed], I have no doubts about that, but what Prime Minister Tusk will do is indeed his decision - he went on to say.

11:06

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Israeli-Iranian Conflict: We are Analyzing and Monitoring the Impact on Various Security and International Situation Factors
- From the perspective of security and the international situation, we are constantly monitoring and analyzing the impact on various factors, including those related to the economy and investments in Poland. I hope that there will be no escalation of the conflict, and that we will not, once again, at another point in the world, be dealing with a conflict lasting many months, many years, as unfortunately is the case in Ukraine. Because this is devastating for all of us, for our economy, it simply threatens not only security but also the quality of life for many Polish families or European families, so actions are being taken in the area of security, and possible concepts for economic support are also being considered. We will see how this situation will affect global markets and stock exchanges in the long term – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference in Rzeszów.

11:08

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Poland's Armaments Industry Production Capacity is Too Small, Insufficient
- Today, the production capacity of the Polish armaments industry is too small, it is insufficient. Eight years of neglect, eight years of inaction are best illustrated by the EU tender for half a billion euros, where only three Polish arms companies registered with the ability to fulfill contracts worth 10 million, which is many times too little. In general, the European armaments industry is currently at a stage that does not guarantee the production expected by NATO. We must multiply, we are modernizing PGZ, a new board has been appointed, we have the strongest motivation to build a broad consortium for ammunition production in Poland – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Rzeszów.

11:10

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

Poland Just Received the Largest EU Transfer in Its Membership History

- 27 billion PLN - Poland has just received the largest transfer from the EU in the history of our membership. Being in the Union pays off, but the Union is not just about money, something our predecessors forgot. We are united by values: democracy, equal opportunities, the rule of law, civil liberties! - wrote Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Twitter.

11:53

Tusk Dismisses Protasiewicz from Deputy Voivode Position
- Prime Minister Donald Tusk has made the decision to dismiss Jacek Protasiewicz from the position of Second Deputy Voivode of Lower Silesia - the Government Information Centre announced.

12:31

Bosak:

We Must Do What We Failed to Do in 2019 - Bring a True, Principled, and Sound Team to the European Parliament

- Now we must do what we failed to do in 2019 - bring a true, principled, strong, sound team to the European Parliament. Poland cannot be a worse country than other member states. Poland must have its entire political spectrum represented in the European Parliament, from every serious European country. The most important European forum, the European Parliament, is attended by Euro-enthusiasts, extreme Euro-federalists, it is attended by all streams of the left, centrists, Christian Democrats, progressive liberals, and the true right - stated Krzysztof Bosak during the launch of Konfederacja's European Parliament campaign.

12:42

Bosak:

European Right Cannot View PiS as Sole Representation of Polish Conservatives

- It cannot be the case that the right-wing parties from other European countries believe that the main and sole representation of conservative Poles is PiS. This is a complete misunderstanding. And of course, it cannot be the case that the representation of all other Poles is PO, PSL, Lewica, Polska 2050 – parties that fit into this mainstream consensus, that recently agreed at a conference on the future of Europe, that are already working on treaty reform so that Europeans depend less and less, and bureaucrats more and more – stated Krzysztof Bosak during the launch of Konfederacja's European Parliament campaign.

12:50

Bosak:

We Want the EU to Accept that Poland's Political Scene Differs from Germany's or Other States

- We want the European Union to accept that Poland and the Polish political scene are different from the political scene in Germany or other countries. We want this diversity to be maintained. We do not want multiculturalism, we do not want all countries to become similar to each other, we do not want all political parties in Europe to have the same programs – stated Krzysztof Bosak during the launch of Confederation's European Parliament campaign.

14:48

Morawiecki:

We Focused on Strengthening Supply. Annually, Around 100,000 More Apartments Were Built Than Before Our Government
- Whether an apartment is a right or a commodity, this question often arises during election campaigns, and I would like to propose a slightly different perspective on this question, or offer a different answer: an apartment is a good that is simultaneously a commodity, but it is also something more than just a commodity subject to various market forces and a commodity that is not dependent on how state policy is conducted. It is a good, and therefore, to some extent, it is a right, because without a roof over one's head, without an apartment, it is difficult to imagine life, and therefore the state [...] should pursue housing policy, not only fully consciously, not only in full agreement with local governments, but also with a certain long-term perspective - said Mateusz Morawiecki during the debate of the "Praca dla Polski" (Work for Poland) team dedicated to the housing market. - With a long-term perspective because we are dealing with demographic and economic phenomena that significantly exceed the duration of a single parliamentary term. Therefore, not only should this housing policy be proposed and discussed politically, socially, and publicly, but the political class should strive to develop a kind of common denominator, which will simultaneously mean the continuity of this policy, at least to some extent - he continued. - Between demand and supply, we should strive to achieve a better equilibrium, a better balance [...]. In recent years, we have tried [...] to primarily strengthen the supply side of the housing economy in the broad sense of the word. Regulatory liberalizations for the construction of houses, apartments, family homes with a base area of 70 m2 [...] served this purpose, as did various administrative liberalizations, reducing bureaucratic burdens [...] which led to the fact that, despite criticism of our housing program, which I will always accept with humility [...], that on average over the last eight years, approximately 220,000 apartments were built annually, about 100,000 more than in the years preceding our government. This is perhaps also a measure of what has happened in the Polish housing market. Imagine that these 800,000 additional apartments had not been built in these eight years [...] we would certainly be dealing with a huge, even much larger problem in the housing market - he went on to say.

15:08

Morawiecki:

If Rental Housing is Left-Wing, Then I Am Fully Left-Wing from That Angle Too
- There is no need to choose between coffee and tea. We need as many apartments as possible built with the option for owners to buy them out, meaning for Poles, but at the same time, along with the changing lifestyle, with the growing mobility of Poles, I not only see nothing wrong with building rental housing, but if that is left-wing, then I am fully left-wing from that angle too, not just from the side of our social programs. The important thing here is that supply and demand meet in the right place, because building rental apartments that will then remain unoccupied is not an achievement - said Mateusz Morawiecki during a debate of the Labor for Poland Team dedicated to the housing market.

15:25

Kosiniak-Kamysz Expresses Support for Miszalski:

The Fight is Fierce, Every Vote Will Matter.

- We would like to ask voters who supported us in the local government elections in the second round to cast their vote for Aleksander Miszalski. The fight is fierce, the campaign is intense, and every vote will matter. Especially those who did not vote in the first round - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference in Krakow.

18:32

Tusk:

Denmark and Poland will uphold the EU's clear stance on events in the East and will help and mobilize others to aid Ukraine
- Today we have another meeting concerning the future of Europe. Here in Warsaw, as you know, a whole series of meetings have already taken place, but I have been waiting a long time for a meeting with the Prime Minister, given the importance of Danish-Polish relations, our common position on the most crucial issues concerning the future of Europe - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen. - We share very similar views with the Prime Minister, I say this with satisfaction, and on the most important matter, which is the security of Europe, the war caused by Russian aggression against Ukraine, the need for swift and effective assistance to Ukraine [...] - all of this unites Denmark and Poland and the Prime Minister with me. We have not similar, but identical views here - he continued. - We will - as we have been so far - stand guard over this unequivocal stance of the EU in assessing events in the East. We will cooperate today and in the future on a unified, clear, honest position of the EU towards the war in Ukraine. We will be among those who help and mobilize others to help Ukraine. Denmark and Poland rule out any scenario other than one that allows Ukraine to maintain its integrity and independence - he assured.

18:46

Tusk:

Europe is in a danger zone. Poland wants to build a dome protecting Europe's skies
- Today, I also discussed with the Prime Minister cooperation among some European countries aimed at building an iron dome, a shield against missiles and drones. As you know, Denmark, Germany, and the United Kingdom, among others, are cooperating within the EU on a European, and of course, NATO-aligned, but European system of air and missile defense, and defense against drones - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen. - Recent events, especially the latest Iranian attack on Israel, have once again confirmed how important it is to have such installations. There is no reason why Europe should be deprived of an effective anti-missile, anti-drone shield - he argued. - Let's imagine for a moment what would happen to Israel today if it didn't have the dome protecting it from missile attacks. And it doesn't take much imagination to understand that Europe is also in a danger zone. Therefore, I am glad that the Prime Minister responded positively to my intention for Poland to join a project in Europe that will effectively build – and should build much faster than so far – a dome protecting our European skies - he continued.

18:51

Tomczyk on the missile near Bydgoszcz: If Błaszczak has memory problems, all reports he reviewed as minister can be verified by a commission.
- Minister Mariusz Błaszczak publicly stated that he remembers the reports submitted to him differently. There is a very simple way: if Mr. Mariusz Błaszczak has memory problems, it can be verified by a commission. All the reports that the then-Minister Mariusz Błaszczak reviewed, and we are talking about the issue of the missile near Bydgoszcz - said Cezary Tomczyk in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the program "Gość Radia ZET". - Minister Błaszczak was informed on the morning of December 16th about a missile threat from the east. Polish and American fighter jets were scrambled. Later, he reviewed a report stating that an unidentified flying object had traversed Poland and its tracking was terminated near Bydgoszcz. Despite this, the Minister did not take any action, he did not send the Territorial Defence Force to search the area - he continued.

18:51

Tusk on the Middle East Situation: 'This Situation is Much More Dramatic Than Ever Before, Iran Has Begun a New Phase of War'
- Regarding Iran - at this moment there is no discussion about any sanctions, new or old, that would be reimposed on Iran, because the situation is much more dramatic than ever before. Iran has, in a sense, truly begun a new phase of war, an open war in the Middle East. I have no doubt that, considering the geopolitical constellation, because it's worth saying it aloud finally – an axis has emerged, and not due to our fault, certainly not due to the EU's fault, not due to the USA's fault, an axis that has divided the world. After all, we know that on that side, the non-democratic, aggressive side, there is Russia, there is Iran, and that in many matters, both in the Middle East and concerning the Ukrainian war, Russia and Iran are behaving like classic allies – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a joint press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

18:56

Tomczyk:

If It Were Possible to Dismiss Opposition Figures, Błaszczak Should Be Dismissed a Second Time
- The minister either swept the matter under the rug, or simply decided it would be better not to deal with it, or simply disregarded it. Any of these reasons is tragic from the perspective of the Polish state. Let's remember that two Polish citizens died in Przewodów; if no lessons are learned from Przewodów or Bydgoszcz [...] if it were possible to dismiss people in the opposition, then Minister Błaszczak should be dismissed a second time - said Cezary Tomczyk on Radio ZET.

19:04

Tomczyk:

Błaszczak Bought First, Then Thought. We're Short 45 Billion PLN in the Next 10 Years for Infrastructure for Already Ordered Equipment
- The problem was with delivering documentation for one of the aircraft components, and therefore the planes could not fly according to Polish law, but that's not all. Because, for example, the simulator for the FA-50 aircraft will only be available at the end of this year. And mind you, we are currently only building the hangar where this simulator will be able to stand, and advanced simulators will only arrive in three years. You ask why: because Minister Błaszczak bought first, and then thought - said Cezary Tomczyk on Radio ZET. - We are short approximately 45 billion PLN over the next 10 years when it comes to military infrastructure for the equipment that has already been ordered by Minister Błaszczak. And today, we have to fix these mistakes, and we will fix them, although it often proves to be very difficult - he continued.

19:09

Tomczyk on Bringing Macierewicz to Court: If I Were a Prosecutor, I Wouldn't Hesitate
- Regarding Mr. Macierewicz, he is a person whose words, in my opinion, should no longer be commented on. That he should rather be commenting on his behavior at the prosecutor's office, and later in court - said Cezary Tomczyk on Radio ZET. - In my opinion, yes [Macierewicz will go to court], but it depends on the prosecutor's office. If I were a prosecutor, I wouldn't hesitate, but perhaps that's precisely why the prosecutor's office should be independent of politicians - he continued.

19:48

Siewiera on Israel: Since the Iranian strike, a process of deterrence and military pressure has been underway

- The situation is on the brink, and it seems to be moving further away with each hour. Press reports indicate that during a conversation, Israel presented the conviction that a strike, a form of retaliation, is necessary, and military movements in the northern Galilee region may also appear tomorrow. It is very difficult to determine what to expect because in any large-scale operation, and undoubtedly since the Iranian strike, a process of signaling deterrence and exerting military pressure about the possibility of a potential attack has been underway - stated Jacek Siewiera in the program “Fakty po faktach” on TVN24.

19:54

Siewiera:

No Current Need to Convene the National Security Council

- I spoke with the President on this matter, and as Minister Mastalerek also stated, there is no immediate need to convene the National Security Council at this time. There is no direct threat to the national security interests of the Republic of Poland and its citizens. However, undoubtedly, the topics and issues resulting from the conflict, which could also burden us with supra-regional escalation, are being very precisely monitored by the government and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces – stated Jacek Siewiera on the TVN24 program “Fakty po faktach” (Facts After Facts).

20:02

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

This is the Largest One-Time Inflow into Polish Accounts in the History of Our EU Membership
This is the largest one-time inflow into Polish accounts in the history of our membership in the European Union, due to our presence in the European Union, so there is truly reason for satisfaction. Of course, the investment of these funds is already underway, because there is no time to lose. We have a two-year delay, and that is an enormous amount, it hurts very much. We are investing, we have a plan forward, a plan until June, around 4 billion - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska Nałęcz on TVN24's 'Fakty po faktach' program.

20:47

Czarzasty on Local Elections: It Would Have Been Better to Run in Two Blocs Than Three
- We are certainly not satisfied with this result. Certainly, the people who lead the parties – because it was a four-party committee – have no satisfaction in this matter, because they shouldn't have. [...] We had a board meeting dedicated to this issue on Saturday. We have drawn, I think, many conclusions. We know what we did wrong - Włodzimierz Czarzasty said in an interview with Monika Olejnik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i". - First conclusion: it would have certainly been better to run in two blocs than in three blocs. [...] PSL and Polska 2050 joined forces, they got 14%, which means 7% each. We failed – probably through our fault – to reach an agreement with Civic Platform on this matter, so it was obvious that we would have this lower result - he stated.

Budka:

I hope MP Bodnar does not win the election and Protasiewicz does not get a parliamentary mandate

- I hope this does not happen. Both the victory of MP [Bodnar] and a mandate for Jacek Protasiewicz. I hope this does not happen; it doesn't depend on me. As a resident of Wrocław, I can encourage people to vote for Jacek Sutryk – stated Borys Budka in the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- I think MP Bodnar will distance herself from Jacek Protasiewicz, but even though I am a strong supporter of Jacek Sutryk, it is difficult to blame Ms. Bodnar for such posts, and I would be far from holding the candidate responsible for these entries – he added.

My Wife's Re-election to City Council with Historic Results is Encouraging. I Strongly Support Her Presidential Bid in Gliwice. Being My Husband Probably Hinders Her in Some Ways.
- My wife, after five years on the city council, achieved re-election with historic results. I strongly support her in the election for the president of Gliwice - Borys Budka said on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of the Events). - Qualifications, hard work, and competence do their part. My wife earned her success. I am happy that after five years on the city council, she received record support in the history of Gliwice - Budka stated. - My name both helps and hinders her. Recently, someone stopped her on the street and declared that he would vote for her, but only if she divorced me (laughter). Unfortunately, the fact that I am her husband probably hinders her in some matters - said the Minister of State Assets.

Budka on Orlen's Swiss Subsidiary: Obajtek's Exceptional Hypocrisy to Distance Himself Now; I Hope He Answers in Court

- An exceptional scandal, it was Obajtek and his people who created a company in Switzerland despite warnings from Polish services. A man with a very bad past, against whom even American services warned, was hired there. This is Obajtek's exceptional hypocrisy, that today he tries to distance himself from this decision. I hope he will also answer for it in court – said Borys Budka on Polsat News.

I Didn't Attack Hołownia, I Just Stated That Further Postponing, Not Proceeding with Abortion Bills is Detrimental
- Together, I believe, people judged that not proceeding with [abortion bills in the Sejm], postponing these deadlines, is not okay. This assessment hasn't changed - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in TVN24's "Kropka nad i". - Please remember that I did not attack Mr. Hołownia, I only informed that further postponement, not proceeding with the topic related to abortion bills is not good. And please note that at that time, we all actually agreed on this. Therefore, I will not be drawn into the question of "Did you attack unnecessarily?". I said it was necessary that women's issues should not wait - he continued.

Budka:

I'm Not Going to Brussels
- I am not going anywhere [to Brussels], I have been given a task by the Prime Minister which I must carry out. However, I think any decisions that will be made on this matter will be decided after the second round of local government elections. We are a team that knows who the boss is, and the boss assigns us tasks; that's how a good team works. For now, I don't foresee such orders from the Prime Minister – stated Borys Budka in Polsat News.

We Will Make Personnel Decisions After the Entire Electoral Cycle
