Wojciechowski:

I don't take instructions, I won't act under pressure. I will speak in a few days, I'm not planning to resign today.

- I haven't looked at my phone - said Janusz Wojciechowski on the program "Point of View" on Polsat News, when asked by Grzegorz Jankowski if Jarosław Kaczyński had called him. - I think this is a matter of providing information about my activities. I will prepare such information. I think too little is known in Poland about what I am doing in the European Commission [...]. I think that some politicians also have too little knowledge about my activities - he continued. - Two such statements were made today. First, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz made one, and here I want to react very firmly. Pursuant to the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU, members of the EC do not accept instructions from member state governments, so I want to tell Mr. Kosiniak-Kamysz very clearly that I do not accept instructions from him - he emphasized. - The second statement, the opinion of President Kaczyński, I take very seriously, but I will reserve the right to present detailed information about my actions in the EC. I will not act under pressure or in a way that is not commensurate with the importance of these matters. […] I have very important tasks ahead of me - he continued. When asked if he would resign before the end of his term, the commissioner stated: - I think I will speak on this matter in a few days. I will present information about my activities. This will probably be on Thursday. Today I do not foresee or plan any such decisions.
