Bochenek on Generals' Resignations: An Irresponsible Decision. What's Most Outrageous is Tusk Immediately Stepping In to Exploit it Politically
- I would not want to see such threads and undertones [that someone inspired Rajmund Andrzejczak and Tomasz Piotrowski] in the generals' actions, because it is, of course, an irresponsible decision. However, what most outrages me in this entire situation is that Donald Tusk immediately, at a beck and call, stepped into the fray, wanting to use this matter politically, wanting to make a fuss about it, especially in such a difficult geopolitical situation as we are in – said Rafał Bochenek in an interview with Krzysztof Świątek on PR24.

07:42

Wife of a Border Guard Officer in a PiS Spot:

It's very painful that you are targeting us with your films and international propaganda, destroying our lives.
These elections are about whether Poland's border will be protected. Whether Poland will be safe. On October 15th, vote for a Secure Future for Poles! - this is how PiS announces yet another clip dedicated to security and border protection on social media. This time, the material did not feature statements from politicians, but from Ms. Diana – the wife of Grzegorz, a Border Guard officer. - My name is Diana and I am the mother of 3-year-old Nikodem. I am also Grzegorz's wife. Grzegorz is a Border Guard officer. Three years ago, Putin's hybrid attack on the Polish border began. We never expected that there would be people in Poland who would start dismantling our border from within. Do you realize that border guards also have families? It's very painful that you are targeting us with your films and international propaganda, destroying our lives. Children of officers in Podlasie have to say at school that their parents do not kill pregnant women, that they do not bury anyone in the forest. This is not just a lie, it is cruelty. On October 15th, you will decide whether our country's border will be defended, whether Poland will be safe - she says in the clip.

07:51

Bochenek:

Tusk is an irresponsible man, ready to stoop to any vileness. He wants to cover up his debate defeat
- Donald Tusk is organizing a press conference where he announces that he has data and knowledge that more generals will resign, which turned out, of course, to be a complete untruth, a fake, and another attempt to destabilize and misinform Polish society about the real situation in the face of a very serious matter and the war that Israel is also facing today. This shows that he is an irresponsible man who is capable of stooping to any vileness in an election campaign, just to draw attention to himself and conduct his election campaign based on lies and falsehoods - said Rafał Bochenek on PR24. - I think he wanted to cover up what happened the day before, namely that extremely unsuccessful debate and his defeat during that debate on public television. Moreover, today it is already being said in the parliamentary corridors that they are looking for those responsible, who prepared Donald Tusk so poorly, why it happened that he was so poorly dressed, that he looked so bad. The Civic Platform's campaign team already realizes that going into that debate was a huge mistake - he continued.

07:56

Give PiS a Call!

- Listen, there are 100 hours until the election. I've brought coffee and one idea to the campaign headquarters - says Donald Tusk in a clip published on social media.

- We can really pull off a good one against PiS. That is, call someone you know and convince them, if we know they are hesitant or don't want to vote. And if we all make such a call, then on October 15th, Poland will truly have something to celebrate - continues the KO leader.

- You too can give PiS a call, and then we will definitely win together - he concludes, addressing the voters.

08:03

Bochenek:

Court Dismisses Lawsuits Seeking Ban on PM and PiS Discussing Mandatory Relocation in Migration Pact
- We have a court ruling in two cases initiated before Polish courts based on lawsuits filed by the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights, as well as the Civic Development Forum […] who sought a court ban on PiS and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki from publicly stating that the migration pact involves illegal migration or that this pact entails mandatory relocation - Rafał Bochenek said on PR24. - The court dismissed these lawsuits. This is finally a victory for truth over the lies being spread by Civic Platform (PO). Firstly, the court dismissed the demand for a ban on speaking on this matter. Secondly - in the justification for this ruling, the court also pointed out something very important: that the migration pact - being processed in the European Parliament and EU institutions with the support of PO politicians and the Polish opposition, and the EPP - is mandatory. It is a mandatory pact - he continued. - What we have heard from many media outlets supporting PO and Donald Tusk until today, claiming there is some sort of voluntariness, is a lie. […] Either you accept, or you pay – that's what this voluntariness entails - he added.

08:07

Komorowski:

PiS is building its election campaign on the premise of Poland's security, yet even the army doesn't feel safe interacting with PiS officials

- It shatters a certain logic of their pre-election propaganda campaign. They build it on the fact that Poland is secure, on security matters. Suggesting that PiS is the guarantor of security, yet it turns out that even the army doesn't feel safe in contact with PiS officials – stated Bronisław Komorowski on RMF FM.

- Minister Błaszczak draws from this personnel pool. This personnel pool has certain limitations. I do not deny, for example, the seemingly immense talents of General Kukuła in terms of organization, perhaps in line command. But his military career clearly lacks experience in planning the development of the armed forces, lacks experience serving in central MON structures, or the General Staff – he added.

08:10

Komorowski on the Debate: The Two Former Prime Ministers Lost It. Hołownia Performed Best

- I am sure of one thing, that the two former prime ministers lost it. I think Prime Minister Morawiecki revealed unbelievable levels of audacity and, I would say, political boorishness. Addressing an opponent, referring to him as 'he,' 'they,' and 'the one standing next to him,' is a manifestation of a sheer lack of good taste and upbringing. I believe people, the voters, noticed this, and I think Morawiecki managed to unbalance Donald Tusk. His nervousness was evident. And these personal tirades in both directions, such arguments, or ad personam invectives, caused the former prime ministers to open up a field for the other participants of this so-called debate, because it's hard to even call it a debate, and Mr. Hołownia probably utilized it best - stated Bronisław Komorowski on RMF FM.

- I support both Civic Platform and The Third Way. Mr. Hołownia very skillfully concluded this entire pseudo-debate in a way that was beneficial for his political camp, by saying that it's either The Third Way or a third term for PiS – he continued.

- I don't think it has such a great impact, but I am counting on it deepening the decline in support for PiS. Partly because Mr. Krzysztof Bosak also performed well, who calmly went, as they say, towards more substantive statements and revealed a certain personal culture, at least in his language and behavior. So, I think it's rather the Confederation that has a chance to take votes away from PiS and that this phenomenon might deepen. However, I am naturally also counting on the democratic opposition as a whole not losing out, because there is no reason for it. And Mr. Szymon Hołownia might have gained some additional support from voters – he added.

08:10

Komorowski:

I'd bet on the one with the best chance of securing a parliamentary majority and uniting the three-part opposition government in action.

- I would bet on the one who will have the greatest chance not only to formally secure a parliamentary majority for their mission. But also, on someone who can unite in actual action a government that will be three-part due to the composition of the electoral coalition. I think it never serves anyone to consider who should be prime minister before the elections – stated Bronisław Komorowski in RMF FM.

08:12

Müller:

There are now around 180,000 soldiers, not just 2 important ones who can be replaced by others
What happened yesterday also shows that this kind of vacancy can be filled very quickly, because on the same day the president appointed General Kukuła and General Klisz to these positions. Therefore, this situation is closed. Continuity, the army functions normally. There are now around 180,000 soldiers, not just 2 important ones who can be replaced by other good generals with experience - stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Grzegorz Jankowski on PR1's "Sygnały dnia".

08:13

Müller:

Tusk's Actions Looked Like a Political Manifesto, Exploiting the Situation to Sow Doubt in the Army

- I don't know of anyone resigning because of what happened yesterday. I don't rule out that someone might be retiring from the army at the same time; that probably happens with dozens of soldiers every day, as we have an army of 180,000 - stated Piotr Müller in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

- How is it that right after this resignation, Donald Tusk walks around and talks about more alleged officers resigning from the army? From Donald Tusk's side, this simply looks like some kind of political manifesto, like exploiting this situation to sow some doubts within the army. Something that seemed like it couldn't happen, that it's a boundary not to be crossed, yet the opposition leader, in the international situation we are currently in, comes out and incites, de facto, this situation by suggesting there's a problem in the army. And what happened yesterday, namely the rapid change in these positions, shows that the army can normally continue its work - he added.

08:14

Müller on Internal Polls: We Have an Upward Trend and the Potential for Solo Government

- I can only speak generally [about internal polls] because I don't want to reveal details. We have an upward trend and the potential to achieve solo government and repeat the situation from 2019 and 2015, and that's what we are fighting for. Literally 1.2 percentage points are deciding right now whether we will have a solo majority or not - stated Piotr Muller in "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

08:16

Bochenek:

We are not planning any government with Konfederacja, as we are fighting for an independent majority
- We are not planning any government with Konfederacja, as we are fighting for an independent majority. We are doing everything to win these elections. All polls indicate that we are leading them, we have a very large advantage over PO, and after that last debate, there is evident demobilization and a drop in support for PO and for the entire opposition in general - said Rafał Bochenek in PR24.

08:47

Grodzki Outlines Topics for His Address
- This is regulated by provisions [when an address can be delivered], so most likely tomorrow evening or Friday evening. I do not abuse this tool, but the situation is serious because if the two most important commanders of the Polish army are submitting their resignations, having had enough of the politicization of the army against the provisions of the Constitution, that the military is neutral, the military guards the Constitution, the soldier guards Polish borders, I decided that especially for TVP viewers, who have, let's be clear, limited access to information, a few words of explanation are due - said Tomasz Grodzki in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia ZET". - This is one of the topics, the second topic will, of course, be encouraging participation in the elections, because these are the most important elections after '89. To be clear, it will not be agitation, because agitation is not allowed in an address, but to encourage Polish women and men to take part in the elections, in the celebration of democracy, that is, in my opinion, the Marshal's duty - he continued.

08:49

Bielan:

Tusk is Once Again Trying to Exploit Every Opportunity to Destabilize the Country

- What Tusk did yesterday is absolutely reprehensible. He is once again trying to exploit every opportunity to destabilize the situation in the country. What turned out to be untrue [Donald Tusk's words] was immediately refuted, but he immediately stepped into this matter with his political boots, and just as in the case of the conflict, the hybrid attack from Belarus, his politicians tried to prevent the construction of the barrier, they hindered our Border Guard, Tusk himself said that this barrier would never be built - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Political Salon of Trójka".

08:50

Bielan:

It's Not Surprising Tusk Received Such Strong Support from Lukashenko

- It is therefore not surprising that Tusk received such strong support from Lukashenko in the final stretch, who clearly supported him in the media, saying it would be the best choice, as I understand it, for Belarus, and that he was counting on a kind of new reset in Polish-Belarusian relations if he were elected Prime Minister - stated Adam Bielan in "Trójka's Political Salon".

08:54

Grodzki on Generals Who Resigned: Their Patience Ran Out. They Had Enough
- It's clear their [the generals who resigned] patience has run out. They had enough. If a missile flies across half of Poland, which theoretically could carry a nuclear payload, and then the political authorities try to sweep it under the rug, and then blame the generals. If Belarusian combat helicopters fly through our skies as if they owned them. If these generals, the two most important generals, are stripped of some command decisions, and this is being talked about, then it is an extremely serious matter - said Tomasz Grodzki on Radio ZET.

09:03

Grodzki on potential agreement with Confederation: Never say never
- In politics, never say never – said Tomasz Grodzki on Radio ZET, when asked about "reaching an agreement with the Confederation if necessary". - The Confederation is not a homogeneous structure. There are people there with views close to liberal, especially economically, but I cannot imagine a conversation with a person who publicly declared their "five points": without Jews, without gays, without the European Union, without taxes, and without abortion. If they do not renounce these views, which they have already renounced a few times, then there is no point in talking to them – he continued. - I am convinced that these talks will not be necessary – he went on, when pressed whether he could imagine talks with the Confederation, e.g., about the position of the Marshal of the Sejm, if Sławomir Mentzen were to withdraw from his "five points" again.

09:04

Confederation Launches 'Freedom Truck'. Bosak: We Are the Only Credible Force Defending Poles' Fundamental Rights
- Confederation in Białystok is launching the 'Freedom Truck'. We are referring to the famous Canadian 'Freedom Convoy', the drivers and carriers who stood up to the left-wing Canadian government in defence of their rights. We also recall our 'Freedom Truck' campaign during the pandemic, where we fought for civil liberties. As we reach the final stretch of the election campaign, we are reminding everyone that Confederation is the only credible force defending the fundamental rights of Polish citizens: the right to free economic activity, to free movement, to freely dispose of their property, and to pay with cash. These are rights that are being restricted by the government or by Eurocrats with the support of other so-called opposition parties – said Krzysztof Bosak at a press conference in Białystok. - Our freedoms are being taken away. Someone has to defend them. The force defending freedoms in Poland is Confederation [...]. The 'Freedom Truck' carries our core message for the campaign finale – he added. Bosak announced that by Friday, the 'Freedom Truck' would visit 10 more cities besides Białystok: Wyszków, Warsaw, Garwolin, Łuków, Chełm, Lublin, Stalowa Wola, Rzeszów, Tarnów, and Kraków, where the Confederation's campaign finale will take place.

09:15

Kaleta to Third Way Voters: If You Vote for a Peasant from PSL, Petru Will Pop Out with Privatization
- If any of you want to vote for the Third Way, thinking it's a new quality in politics, you will be sorely mistaken. And don't regret it, because if you vote for, for example, a peasant from PSL, Petru will pop out with privatization, or Donald Tusk with a federal European Union. We are not afraid of [the Third Way], we just want to warn voters about it, because in every election campaign there is something like people being deceived: it will be wonderful, we are something new - said Sebastian Kaleta in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

09:17

Kaleta:

Tusk Disguised Civic Platform in Boxes. Red is the Left, Yellow-Green is TD, and When We Open Them, It Will Turn Out PO Jumps Out
- Donald Tusk has disguised Civic Platform in several outfits, several boxes: a red box - the Left, a yellow-green one - PSL, and in the end, when we open them, when these votes are taken from the ballot box and possibly go to the Sejm, then it will turn out, who jumps out? Donald Tusk and PO - said Sebastian Kaleta in "Graffiti" Polsat News.

09:32

Gliński:

We Stand for a Europe of Independent and Free Nations; These Were the Assumptions When Europe Integrated

- Sunday will see the most important elections since 1989, as they will decide Poland's fate, whether we will continue to develop sovereignly in economic, defense, and cultural-identity spheres. Our predecessors did not build identity-building institutions in Poland at all; unfortunately, this is a great neglect. Will we be a state that looks to Russia and Germany and becomes increasingly weaker - stated Piotr Gliński in the program "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

- We stand for a Europe of independent and free nations; these were the assumptions when Europe integrated, and artificial constructs like a European state are simply stupid from the perspective of sociological knowledge - he added.

09:37

Gliński:

We Have Accepted Millions of War Refugees and Are Defending Europe's Border. Poland is Passing the Test and Fulfilling its Obligations to Europe

- We have accepted millions of war refugees and we have fulfilled this European task. And at the moment, we are also defending Europe's eastern border, because the pressure of Putin and Lukashenka's hybrid war is quite obvious. Poland is passing the test and fulfilling its obligations to Europe, while at the same time developing the fastest in Europe - stated Piotr Gliński in the program "Signals of the Day" on PR1.

- However, if Germany invited immigrants to Europe, they are a rich, enormous country that should solve this problem. The first solution should be to strengthen the borders - he added.

10:30

Morawiecki:

Yesterday we witnessed a pathetic staging. After Tusk's disgrace and debate defeat, they're trying to shift the narrative.
Unfortunately, yesterday we witnessed a pathetic staging by Donald Tusk. The leader of the main opposition party decided to undermine the stability of the Polish army, using some temporary resignations, temporary departures from the army to present an untrue state of the Polish army. After Donald Tusk's disgrace and defeat in the election debate, they are trying to shift the narrative. Today, we are dealing with a situation of global security instability, as we see from what is happening in Israel. There are no appropriate, decent words to describe such a policy, such actions, such words from the opposition leader Donald Tusk – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a press statement. - This perfidious game, incidentally, began when the President and I decided to send a Polish military contingent to evacuate Polish citizens from Israel. At such a moment, the opposition and its helpers present their manipulated information to the public to undermine the stability of the Polish military and trust in the Polish uniform. This situation is another installment of what we saw two years ago. It started then, during the hybrid attack on the border with Belarus – he continued.

10:40

Morawiecki:

While Our Brave Soldiers Evacuate Polish Citizens from Israel and the Whole World Admires Them, the Opposition Tries to Undermine Trust in the Polish Army

- Tusk and his supporters then, just as they do today, attacked Polish services, speaking of supposedly poor people who want to find their place in the world. Their direct political supporters, their direct political base, and Civic Platform members spoke scandalously about Polish soldiers, Polish officers, even calling them scum. Today, they are doing exactly the same. While our brave soldiers are evacuating Polish citizens from Israel, a territory engulfed by war, while our Polish soldiers are admired by the entire world, as other countries are asking us if we could help evacuate their citizens, at a time when nearly 900 of our citizens have also been evacuated from the Middle East, the opposition is trying to undermine trust in the Polish Army. They are manipulating public opinion in order to create a false impression of chaos and destabilize the situation - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a press statement.

10:51

Morawiecki:

It is Poles, and only Poles, who have the right to decide what Poland will look like and how secure Poland will be

- It is Poles, and only Poles, who have the right to decide what Poland will look like and how secure Poland will be. We are in the process of building a strong army, one of the most modern in Europe. This is not just an unprecedented program of purchasing weapons and strengthening Polish arms production, but also increasing the personnel of the Polish army and improving the conditions for Polish soldiers. I am grateful to all those soldiers and officers who dedicate themselves, their time, and their safety so that we can all be safe, so that they can serve the homeland. I also thank every Polish wife who has to endure separation from her husband, and I thank every Polish mother who worries about her son being sent on a mission, such as to the Polish Military Contingent for the evacuation of Polish citizens, or to the border with Belarus – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a press statement.

11:13

Wipler:

Korwin-Mikke Asked to Do Nothing Further Until Campaign's End
According to my knowledge, Janusz Korwin-Mikke has been asked to quietly do nothing further until the end of the campaign. Not to tweet, not to write, not to speak out, to rest - stated Przemysław Wipler in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

11:41

Grabiec on Morawiecki's words: You need quite some gall to say after 8 years in power that the opposition is responsible for the generals' resignations

- We are impressed by the press conference of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who just stated that the chaos in the army, which the PiS government has caused, is the work of the opposition, it is the work of Civic Platform. It really takes quite some gall to say after 8 years in power that the opposition is responsible for the resignations of generals, senior officers, colonels, lieutenant colonels in the staff, in the General Command, that the opposition is responsible for all of this - stated Jan Grabiec during a press conference.

- The truth is that PiS has introduced nightmarish chaos into the Polish Army, that Polish officers do not want to serve as backdrops for photos and PiS election commercials, that soldiers, regardless of their views, believe they should be apolitical, and PiS does not allow them to be. The PiS government, particularly the Minister of National Defence Mariusz Błaszczak, is forcing soldiers to declare allegiance to the ruling party, this is a violation of the constitution and a violation of all regulations concerning the army - he continued.

- It's not surprising that the soldiers have had enough, but it's worth repeating Donald Tusk's appeal from yesterday. Hold on, hold on for a few more days, we will restore the honor of the Polish uniform, the honor of the Polish soldier, we will restore honor to the soldiers and you will no longer be used for politics, because due to the security situation, your presence in the army is essential today for Poles to feel safe - he emphasized.

11:42

Kierwiński:

We've obtained new information on visas. It turns out Russians were brought to Poland in recent years.

- We have obtained new information regarding visas issued primarily to people from the East. This is the program we will be discussing shortly; it is Prime Minister Morawiecki's personal project. A program prepared in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and supervised by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, meaning Morawiecki himself. We have obtained information concerning the Poland Business Harbour program, a program designed to bring IT specialists and highly qualified professionals to Poland. As is often the case, no one has seen these specialists, but it turns out that in recent years, visas were issued and Russians were brought to Poland. Under this program, nearly 90,000 visas were issued, mainly to Belarusian citizens, but it turns out that over 2,000 visas were also issued to Russian citizens. Since the outbreak of the war, nearly 1,700 visas have been issued to Russian citizens - stated Marcin Kierwiński during a press conference.

- Just now, the Prime Minister spoke about Russian trolls, so I ask, what must one have in their head to, after Russia attacked Ukraine, bring supposed Russian IT specialists to Poland? What must one have in their head to issue nearly two thousand visas, 1,700 visas since the outbreak of the war, to people with Russian citizenship, bringing them here to places that theoretically are meant to create critical infrastructure? What must one have in their head to manage Polish security so irresponsibly - he continued.

- These visas were issued under a special procedure that eliminates the necessity of applying for a work permit. This is precisely in the regulation of the Minister of Development, Labour and Technology dated November 25, 2020. A special program was included under which IT specialists were to be brought, and it turned out that, by a strange coincidence, mainly from Belarus, a window was opened to bring people from Russia - he added.

11:42

Tomczyk:

The Data We Obtained Is Shocking. It Contradicts Morawiecki's Assurances About Polish Security
The data we obtained as part of a parliamentary inquiry, which concerns the number of visas issued to Belarusians and Russians, is shocking because it in no way aligns with Prime Minister Morawiecki's assurances about Polish security. The slogan of the Law and Justice party (PiS) in this election, which relates to security, can effectively be thrown in the bin. This data speaks for itself. In 2022 alone, 47,000 visas were issued to Belarusians, specifically for IT specialists from Belarus, and 18,000 visas for Belarusians in 2023. Now, what is the core of this inquiry: 1247 visas in 2022 and 467 visas in 2023 for Russians - stated Cezary Tomczyk during a press conference. - Not so long ago, during press conferences held by journalists or 'pathological journalists' from TVP, the question was raised: how is it possible that visas were issued to Russians in 2014 or 2015? Let's wake up. After Russia's attack on Ukraine, visas were issued to Russians en masse. This is an official state document, a table we received as part of a parliamentary inquiry from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is not graffiti on candy wrappers; it is a document that undeniably proves that the Polish government has absolutely no regard for security, and all these assurances about border integrity and building a fence on the border with Belarus can simply be thrown in the bin - he added.

11:44

Grabiec:

PiS Government Claimed Russian and Belarusian Hackers Attacked Poland, Then Invited Them In

- You all remember the scandal concerning Minister Dworczyk's emails, the scandal concerning Prime Minister Morawiecki's inner circle, when emails regarding the most important state matters, including defense, exchanged between key government politicians were published, and to this day are still being published. At that time, it was correctly indicated that this was an operation by Russian and Belarusian intelligence services and IT specialists. Imagine that after the PiS government announced that Russian and Belarusian IT specialists carried out a cyberattack on Poland, they then invited 65,000 Belarusian IT specialists and 1,700 Russian IT specialists to Poland, issuing them visas - stated Jan Grabiec during a press conference.

12:04

Jabłoński:

Over a Million Visas for Russians Between 2010-2015 – The Pro-Russian Tusk Government Allowed This Many into Poland

- A total of over a million (1.113 million) visas for Russians between 2010-2015 – this is how many Russians the pro-Russian Tusk government allowed into Poland during that time - Paweł Jabłoński wrote on Twitter.

- Today, PO politicians are attacking us over visas for a few hundred people fleeing Putin's regime from Russia, meticulously vetted by ABW. Hypocrisy and a smokescreen for their own pro-Putin policy. Shame - emphasized the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

12:23

New Civic Platform Spot:

Stop the PiS Smuggler Mafia

- We are revealing a secret report from the Polish Border Guard. This year alone, over 30,000 migrants from the East have illegally entered Poland. The fence on the border with Belarus is completely leaky. It can be cut with a regular, hand-held hacksaw blade because the bars are hollow inside. There are already at least 1000 holes in the fence. A river of migrants is flooding into Poland and overwhelming Europe. That is why checks have returned to the border with Germany and Slovakia. We will build a sealed barrier on the border with Belarus. Stop the PiS smuggler mafia - says the narrator in the new spot, published by Civic Platform on social media.

Mentzen Promises One Million Zloty:

A Reward for Mateusz Morawiecki.

- We all remember the recordings of Mateusz Morawiecki from the restaurant Sowa & Przyjaciele, where he talked about us working for a bowl of rice. However, not everyone knows that there were many more recordings involving Mateusz Morawiecki. On one of them, according to the testimony of the waiters who recorded him, he discussed financial scams and buying real estate through straw purchasers. Unfortunately, these recordings have been lost; it's unknown who possesses them. Doesn't it seem strange and disturbing that someone has recordings that could compromise the Prime Minister of Poland? Perhaps they are blackmailing him with these recordings, and no one is interested? Why do journalists so rarely raise this topic? Why won't Polish services do everything they can to obtain these recordings, so that the Prime Minister of Poland stops being blackmailed? - stated Sławomir Mentzen in a recording published on social media.

- Before me lies one million zloty. This one million zloty is a reward for anyone who provides me with a copy of a recording on which Mateusz Morawiecki talks about buying real estate through straw purchasers. If you possess this recording, regardless of how you obtained it, contact me. Send me a fragment of this recording. If it proves to be authentic, we will get in touch, and I will give you one million zloty. After receiving this recording, I will of course publish it and hand it over to the police. If you have this recording, you better hurry, because the offer is valid as long as Mateusz Morawiecki is Prime Minister. I hope this ends as soon as possible. Therefore, if you possess this recording and want to earn a million zloty, this offer may never come again - emphasized the leader of Konfederacja.

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We've Had Enough of Waste, Enough of Treating National Assets Like a Private Estate

- Enough of bickering, let's move forward. This is the slogan with which we are going into these elections, and it de facto defines us. We've had enough of rudeness, enough of hypocrisy, enough of deceit, enough of hatred. We've also had enough of waste, we've had enough of treating national assets like a private estate. Enough of the excesses of these fat cats. We've had enough of treating the national community this way, but also the achievements that this community works to build. What an image the power plant in Ostrołęka was – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Ostrołęka.

12:47

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We Don't Want to Be Dependent on South America, on Coal from Colombia or Africa; Let's Generate Electricity Where We Are

- We are running as the TD [Polish People's Party] to focus precisely on green energy. To preserve what is most valuable in our nature and to use what is available to us. To become independent of the East, but also to become independent of all these very expensive energy sources that we have to buy. Frankly, from coal from Colombia. I don't want us to be dependent on South America, on coal from Colombia, or from Africa. Let's generate electricity where we are, let's focus very strongly on green energy. On green, renewable energy, on biogas plants, on wind farms, on what can be utilized. Biogas plants are an area that is very neglected today. We have an area in Poland similar to Germany, and we only utilize 10% of it
said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Ostrołęka.

12:48

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Third Way Offers Three Guarantees: Patriotism Without Pomp, Progress Without Madness, and a Strong State Without Tyranny
The Third Way offers three guarantees. It is patriotism without pomp. Progress without madness and a strong state without tyranny. This is our promise and this is our guarantee. Respect for tradition, for what we come from. For our values, for the Christian values from which we grow. It is respect for humanity, patriotism, and community. But it is also modernity, it is progress, it is moving forward. It is innovation in the economy, in agriculture, in those fields that need this innovation. And these can be reconciled, just as being in the EU is Poland's raison d'état and the measure of modern patriotism – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Ostrołęka.

13:06

Żukowska:

After October 15th, We Will Be Able to Begin Coalition Talks on Forming a Government
- You can win in Podkarpacie, you can win in Eastern Poland, even when, as you can see, you are not PiS, when you are not Solidarna Polska, Mr. Warchoł lost these elections, he does not have the trust of the residents of Rzeszów [...]. We are not giving up, we are running our campaign with full force, we are determined, and we know that together with other democratic opposition groups, after October 15th, we will be able to begin coalition talks regarding the formation of a future government - said Anna Maria Żukowska at a press conference.

13:08

Zandberg to Morawiecki: There are Limits to Insolence, You Are Crossing Them
- Mateusz Morawiecki, who has nothing to boast about from the past few years of his government, has based the entire campaign of Law and Justice on fear-mongering, but today he has crossed the boundaries of absurdity. In an interview, he said that a defeat for PiS, and our victory, would mean wage stagnation. There are limits to insolence, Mr. Prime Minister, because it is under your government that real wages are falling in Poland. [...] When you talk about wage stagnation, I think to myself that there really are limits to insolence and that you are simply crossing those limits in this matter - said Adrian Zandberg at a press conference. - The Left will not agree to a return to past mistakes. The Left will not agree to people being paid 5 PLN per hour, but the Left will also not agree to what you have accomplished continuing. It will not agree to starving public services, it will not agree to weakening employees - he continued.

13:10

Czarzasty to Fijołek: Thanks to You, the Opposition in Poland Has Started to Cooperate Realistically
- Some things divide us, but look how well we managed to get along. Mr. President, I wanted to tell you: thank you for your kind words, that it is thanks to you, among others, that the opposition in Poland has started to cooperate realistically with each other. There were two huge facts that happened, the Senate Pact and your election here in this region. You taught us how to cooperate, how to support one candidate - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference in Rzeszów, addressing Konrad Fijołek.

13:15

Czarzasty to Duda: When a soldier leaves service, it's worth saying 'thank you'
- I wanted to address President Andrzej Duda. I'll tell you humanly, I think when a soldier leaves service, I don't want to lecture you, because that would be arrogant, but it's worth saying the word 'thank you'. I cannot imagine President Aleksander Kwaśniewski not saying 'thank you' to the Polish army, a Polish general, a Polish soldier for their service - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.

13:32

Sasin:

After 8 Years of PiS Rule, We Reversed Fatal Economic Trends in Poland That Led to the Collapse of Many Localities
We are here today to bring you good news: the plant will develop, the plant is already developing, but there are further investment plans, and there are also further plans to increase employment here at this plant. President Chwałek will speak about the details in a moment - stated Jacek Sasin in Jasło. This is a huge satisfaction for me, because today we can say that after 8 years of PiS rule, we have reversed the fatal trends in the Polish economy that took place, indeed, throughout the period after 1989, when successive liberal and left-wing teams, forming successive governments, government teams, under various names, changing organizationally, but these are the same circles of Civic Platform, Polish People's Party, Left all along, led to the collapse of many localities and cities in Poland through the sell-off and liquidation of workplaces - he added.

13:36

Müller to Mentzen: Sławek, allocate 500 PLN from that for hosting. Yours were recently expired and can't be found

- Sławek, allocate 500 PLN from that for hosting. Yours were recently expired and can't be found. You can keep the remaining 999,500 PLN, because there's no such recording. I'll give you a million if you fly to the moon tomorrow. And even five! - wrote Piotr Müller on Twitter, responding to Sławomir Mentzen's recording.

14:01

Obajtek:

We've Launched Central Europe's Largest Renewable Energy Investment, Powering 1.5 Million Households with Clean Energy
We are at a turning point for the entire Polish energy sector! We have launched Central Europe's largest renewable energy investment, which will power 1.5 million households with clean energy – Daniel Obajtek wrote on Twitter. - Offshore wind energy is a strategic direction for our development, which is why we have also begun the construction of an installation terminal in Świnoujście. We will use it for the Baltic Power project, as well as for five subsequent farms planned by the ORLEN Group, with a total capacity of 5.2 GW – emphasized the CEO of PKN Orlen.

14:13

Morawiecki:

Wise Heads in Warsaw Say Poles Lack Social Spirit, Local Engagement. Then Leave Your Desks.

- Today here, in the Dobrzyca commune, I discussed various local issues and it's worth emphasizing that an unprecedented amount of funds has reached a mixed urban-rural commune like Dobrzyca. So much funding has never been allocated before. Money was invested here in gym halls, in water and sewage infrastructure, and road investments. Often, there in Warsaw, wise heads say that Poles lack a sense of community, citizenship, and engagement in local affairs. You know what, leave your desks in Warsaw. Come here, to communes like Dobrzyca, and you will see what true civic activity is - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

14:14

Morawiecki:

Let's have no illusions, Civic Platform wants to raise the retirement age

- Our predecessors from Civic Platform raised the retirement age, and what they are already saying at Civic Platform meetings, let's have no illusions, they want to raise the retirement age. I would also like rural areas, rural-urban communes, which are usually underrepresented in elections, usually go to the polls less often because the polling station is further away - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

15:16

Morawiecki:

Europe Braces for Tens and Hundreds of Thousands of Economic Migrants from the Middle East. These are Often Young Islamic Men Who Have Nothing to Do With Women's Rights
What were investments like about 8 years ago? I'm not choosing this date by accident, because it was the last year of the PO government. What were investments like under Tusk, in the safety of children, road traffic, so that they could walk to school on a pavement, not some roadside? Traffic lights, roundabouts, all that we truly care about first and foremost, so that a child is safe, bicycle paths, new roads, safe roads, and when they are already in school, kindergarten or nursery, that they have conditions like in this nursery, kindergarten, school like here. Simply beautiful, large rooms, spacious, and so that children will truly feel wonderful here – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Wysocko Małe. - How many such new places in nurseries has the PiS government created? Well, I will give you the exact number. From 87,000, which is next to nothing, today we have almost 250,000 and another 100,000 are being built. Look at the difference, a gigantic difference, but the safety of our children on the streets of cities and villages is also linked to our ability to veto illegal immigration. Today we are at a very important moment in our history. We are threatened by another powerful wave of migration from the Middle East. Look at what is happening in Palestine and Israel. The fighting has erupted there with full force. What does this mean? It means that tens and hundreds of thousands of migrants, economic migrants from the Middle East, are already preparing to come to Europe. These are often young Islamic men, who, as you know perfectly well, have nothing to do with women's rights. It is worth guarding against such illegal, large-scale immigration, which is why I am very much asking all residents to also have their say in the referendum on Sunday – he added.

16:21

Zandberg:

It's a great shame for Poland that so many elderly people struggle with poverty today

- When we talk about seniors in Poland, the terms that most often come up are poverty, destitution, a lack of money to buy medicines, the fear of whether there will be fuel in winter, or how to keep warm. All of this is true, it is a great shame for Poland that so many elderly people, people who worked very hard for Poland, are struggling with poverty today - stated Adrian Zandberg during the Left's programmatic convention - Safe Senior.

- This program, which we want to present to you, is not solely about surviving, solely about enduring, because we believe that in Poland in the 21st century, in a country with a dynamically developing economy, which is part of the European Union, the largest and most powerful trading bloc in the world, it is high time we moved forward - he added.

16:24

Zandberg:

We Will Introduce the Rule of Two Pension Indexations Annually

- Economic security means the ability to plan your life for several months, for a year, for two years. You all know that when inflation hit, it particularly impacted those pensioners, men and women, who have little. Their budgets stopped balancing, and, as 10-15 years ago, fear reappeared in their eyes – the fear of not being able to afford medicine, of not being able to buy food at the end of the month. We know this cannot happen again. We will introduce the rule of two pension indexations annually to protect people from such crisis situations. They must never again push hundreds of thousands more people into poverty – stated Adrian Zandberg during the Left's program convention – Safe Senior.

16:31

Duda:

I can confidently say PESA is our pride right now
- It is a great joy for me that PESA, that the company, that the plants are developing so wonderfully, are increasing production, but above all, that they are producing such incredibly modern railway rolling stock. PESA is the largest railway rolling stock producer in Poland, and at the same time the most modern, and I can truly say confidently that it is our pride right now. I am especially pleased that PESA is producing more and more for export, because that is also very important, it shows development, because of course our domestic needs are large, but to truly develop very dynamically, one must also sell abroad – said President Andrzej Duda during his visit to PESA Bydgoszcz. - PESA is dynamically developing its sales in the Three Seas region, so those who cooperate with us politically on a daily basis, those with whom we have been developing communication, communication infrastructure in our part of Europe for eight years, are also interested in our rolling stock as that which will transport passengers and goods along the routes that we are building within the framework of infrastructural cooperation – he continued. - PESA has produced over 1600 trains, of which 1000 were for domestic needs, 600 are already running on European rails. PESA produces not only trains but also trams; in fact, in all Polish cities where trams operate, there are already trams from PESA – he went on to say.

16:42

Zandberg:

Morawiecki is Actually Responsible for How Many Polish Families Fell into Economic Trouble

- Today, Mateusz Morawiecki did what he usually does, which is to say, he tried to scare people ever more desperately, trying to say that if we come to power, it will mean social cuts. It amuses me when Mateusz Morawiecki says this, he who is actually responsible for how many Polish families fell into economic trouble - stated Adrian Zandberg during the Left's program convention - Safe Senior.

16:51

Czarzasty:

After October 15th, We Will Govern Together with PO, Hołownia, and Kosiniak

- After October 15th, we will govern together with PO, Hołownia, and Kosiniak. We will create a strong, democratic government, and it will introduce the widow's pension - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty during the programming convention of Lewica - Bezpieczny Senior (Safe Senior).

17:01

Żukowska:

The Lifeline for My Generation Against Starvation Pensions is Counting Civil Law Contracts Towards Work Experience

- My generation, the millennial generation, worked on 'trash contracts' not because we liked it, not because it was our life hack to avoid paying pension contributions. We simply had no other choice, it was the only job offer available to us at the time. We do not have pension contributions for this initial period of our professional journey, so the lifeline for my generation, to avoid starvation pensions, because that time cannot be made up, is to count the period on civil law contracts towards work experience. This is a solution that will protect my generation from starvation pensions - stated Anna Maria Żukowska during the programming convention of Lewica - Safe Senior.

17:08

Czarzasty:

I Blame This Government for Not Creating Social Conditions for People to Live Longer

- Do you know that Poles currently live on average two years shorter? I blame this government for not creating the social conditions for people to live longer. Does it depend on social conditions? Yes, it does, because residents of Wilanów live 10 years longer than residents of Praga Południe in Warsaw. This doesn't come from nowhere. Some can afford good quality food, can afford a doctor, can afford to get check-ups, and others cannot. Those who can afford it live longer, and those who cannot afford it live shorter lives. We, as The Left, tell you clearly and precisely - we know that not only the rich live in Poland - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty during The Left's programmatic convention - Safe Senior.

17:24

Czarzasty:

Do You Know, Morawiecki, That Extreme Poverty Exists in Poland?

- Does Kaczyński's government, I ask you Mr. Kaczyński, Morawiecki, Duda, I ask you this: Do you know that in Poland there are 1.6 million people living in extreme poverty? Do you know, Morawiecki, who has assets exceeding 100 million zlotys, that there is extreme poverty in Poland? That means that families have an income below 600 PLN per person. Mr. Morawiecki, could you live on 600 PLN a month, buying medicine, food, and paying rent for all those houses, apartments, and lands you bought back from the clergy? - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty during the Left's programmatic convention - Safe Senior.

17:26

Tusk to PiS Voters: You Must Answer if You Want Liars Like Morawiecki, Cowards Like Kaczyński, and Dramatically Incompetent People Like Sasin to Govern
- Voters of PiS, you, above all, must answer this question for yourselves today. Do you want, in times of global turmoil and risks – and here, especially given our proximity to borders, you know what these risks can mean – do you truly want Poland to be governed by liars, like Morawiecki, cowards, like Kaczyński, or people so dramatically incompetent and with sticky fingers, like Sasin – Donald Tusk said in Ełk.

17:36

Tusk:

This Morning All of Poland Learned That Not 10, But 11 Officers in the General Staff Resigned
- Yesterday I said: after two generals, commanders of the Polish Army, those who until yesterday stood at the head of the Polish army, resigned. Generals Piotrowski and Andrzejczak. I said that I had received information that these were not the only resignations, that more officers in the General Command had resigned, and I said that I had information that 10 more had submitted their resignations. How did the PiS authorities, Morawiecki, some spokesperson, and officials responsible for information regarding the military react? Not true, fake news, Tusk is lying, Tusk is staging some strange performance […]. This time, 24 hours was enough. This morning, all of Poland learned that I was telling the truth. Just one correction. Not 10, but 11, and this has already been confirmed by official sources in the Polish Army – said Donald Tusk in Ełk. - When we have a war in Ukraine, when in the Gaza Strip in the Middle East a global conflict hangs in the air. I don't need to convince anyone what a critical moment the world is in and what a critical moment our region has been in for many months. And regarding security, the army, the defense of our borders, the situation in the highest command, their only way of acting is to lie to the public opinion – he continued.

17:42

Tusk:

We See Dirty, Sticky Hands, We Smell Corruption Because the Head of Government is a Man Whose Only Passion is Making Money
- Do you know why it is that wherever we look upwards today, towards the seat of power, we see dirty, sticky hands everywhere, we smell that stench, the stench of corruption everywhere, because the head of government is a man whose only real life passion is making money, and whose only true occupation is hiding this fact from people. And he is the Prime Minister of the Polish government - Donald Tusk said in Ełk. - We are again reading about this classic triangle, as it were: bishop, state-owned farm, Morawiecki. 700,000, 12 million, with a businessman in the background who lends money - he continued.

17:58

Tusk:

Growing Rumors Suggest Military Command Chaos Stems from Generals' Fears of PiS Using Army in Case of Election Loss
- I called on Polish officers and generals to be loyal to the constitution, the homeland, and the nation, because for several days there have been increasingly disturbing rumors that this chaos at the top of the military command is also due to generals fearing that PiS will want to use the army in case of election loss. It sounds ominous and improbable, I don't want to scare anyone. This is the last scenario I would like to experience. I consciously lived through both December '70 and martial law in Gdańsk. And when today I heard the words of Gen. Waldemar Skrzypczak, he said them publicly. The former commander of the land forces, a well-known figure. Gen. Waldemar Skrzypczak, said today in the media to all of you that he fears that these dismissals, these resignations, are the result of those who are resigning today not wanting to participate in plans to use the army against their own nation. In case this government fails in the elections. Gen. Skrzypczak said directly: "it looks a bit like December '70 and like martial law" – said Donald Tusk in Ełk.

18:01

Kaczyński:

Tusk Exploits Military Changes to Destabilize the Army and Poland

- I would have preferred not to talk about Tusk this time, I wanted to refrain from it in the end. But I can't manage, because he keeps forcing me, he simply forces me. Because let's consider our goals, our election goals, but in essence, these election goals are not partisan. They are simply Polish. We want security, and I can say that our formation, PiS, ZP, has done a great deal for Polish security over these 8 years, for external security by strengthening the army, for internal security by strengthening the services that ensure this security. We have also strengthened ourselves in terms of energy security; today it is complete, and finally, we have strengthened our alliance with the USA. Our predecessors destroyed that alliance, and what is Tusk doing at a time when a new situation is arising? Well, let's not kid ourselves, a new threat - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Krakow.

- Someone might say: Israel, Palestine is very far away. Indeed, it is far, but this conflict that has erupted there, this war, is a new threat that, together with what is happening in Ukraine and what is happening around Taiwan, already creates a truly global threat. The President has ordered the creation of a military group to transport Poles who are there from Israel to Poland, simply to rescue those in danger, because people are dying there, Polish lives. And what is Tusk doing? Tusk is exploiting changes in the military in an attempt to destabilize the army and destabilize the situation in Poland, and precisely in this area, the area of security. This is something completely impossible to understand within the framework of normal thinking - he continued.

- Not just patriotic thinking anymore, but simply common sense thinking. Every person with common sense knows that such things should not be done, but he is ready to do it for victory, for a brawl, which in his opinion will bring him victory - he emphasized.

18:04

Kaczyński:

Every Vote for the Opposition is Essentially a Vote for Tusk
I must speak about this, I must truly warn you, the citizens, against allowing this man [Donald Tusk] to come to power. And remember, every vote for the opposition is essentially a vote for Tusk – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Krakow.

18:12

Tusk:

Convince people to chase away traitors, liars, and thieves from the trough
- Whoever wants to isolate Poland, whoever wants to lead us out of the Union, someone who does not participate in NATO consultations when war is at our borders, that is someone who is implementing a plan of national betrayal on all the most important matters. Remember this, convince people to chase away traitors, liars, and thieves from this trough, from power – said Donald Tusk in Ełk.

18:16

Kaczyński:

A Hand Has Been Raised Against Our Independence
- I will tell you what the meaning of these elections is. [...] First and foremost, it concerns this fundamental matter, relating to our interests, but also to our dignity, to a very large extent our dignity. It's about ensuring that decisions concerning Poles are made in Poland. Not in Brussels, not in Berlin, but in Poland - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Krakow. - This is, in a nutshell, a matter of our independence, and at this moment, a hand has been raised against this independence. The projects that are currently being presented in the European Parliament, generally in the European Union, are projects that, if implemented, would essentially abolish Polish independence. Polish authorities would have nothing to say on Polish matters, elections would be a mere theatre without any significance, a ritual. And we would no longer be citizens, [...] we would simply become the population of this territory - he continued. - There is one political force in our country that guarantees this will not happen - and that is the United Right - he added.

18:17

Tusk:

If You Want to Participate in the Referendum, Then Participate. The Questions Are Framed Such That Four "No" Votes Are Natural
- I am making this fervent appeal to everyone: feel free to go to this polling station, if you consider it a bother, take that referendum ballot. If you want to participate in this referendum, don't worry about it. Participate in the referendum. Answer the questions however you want. They are formulated in such a way that it's obvious that four "no" votes are natural. In general, these questions should have been phrased entirely differently to have elementary sense. But please, keep in your hearts and minds above all the awareness that the real referendum is taking place on the ballot for the Sejm. That's where the real referendum is – stated Donald Tusk in Ełk.

18:27

Morawiecki:

Thank You for the Energy You Infused Me With in Monday's Debate. It's Clear Tusk is Falling Apart and Knows He's Lost
- I want to thank you for the energy that you infused me with during Monday's debate. It was something beautiful. It's clear that everything is falling apart for Tusk. It's clear that he feels he has lost. [...] Those trembling hands, those sweaty hands. You all saw it, how he was shaking - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Kalisz.

18:34

Morawiecki:

PO, through its MPs, Slanders John Paul II's Good Name. They Want to Destroy Him
- What threatens us if Tusk's team and their satellites, their parties, come to power? They've divided themselves, but really, a vote for Mrs. Scheuring-Wielgus, as I said during the debate, and for the Left, which slanders the good name of John Paul II. PO, through its MPs, also slanders the good name of John Paul II. Shameful, yes indeed. PO wants to destroy John Paul II, listen to what their MPs are saying – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Kalisz.

18:36

Tusk:

The Polish-Belarusian border is advertised on people smuggler accounts as the easiest route to Europe
- This place, the Polish-Belarusian border, and this can be verified, I have verified it in materials from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Polish consuls, not my people, but from the PiS government, the Polish-Belarusian border is advertised to this day on the accounts, on people smuggler portals, as the easiest crossing into Europe. This fence doesn't work. The correct question in the referendum should be: are you for building a real barrier on the Polish-Belarusian border - said Donald Tusk in Ełk.

18:43

Morawiecki:

The Moment They Understood They Had Lost in Recent Days Signifies Something Very Dangerous. Tusk is Today Trying to Threaten Our Fundamental Security
- What do they have in common besides one thing: returning to power and stealing, destroying. Reaching out to Putin, someone suggests here. All of this means our homeland has reached a turning point. But you know what? It's already visible, after this debate and it was visible earlier, that they are losing their way, that they see we haven't just caught the wind in our sails. That we have strength, we have superpower. We are heading for victory - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Kalisz. - But I must also warn you, because the moment they understood they had lost in recent days signifies something very unsettling, very dangerous. Namely, Tusk is today trying to threaten our fundamental security in two primary ways. The first concerns what he utters and says about the Polish army. He repeats great lies that are being told about the Polish army. […] He tries to repeat every lie in order to destabilize the situation - he continued.

18:48

Morawiecki:

If these elections are unfair, it's for one reason – they have the biggest media and international institutions withholding funds from Poland on their side
- As soon as they feel they are losing, they try to show that these elections will be unfair. If these elections are unfair, it's for one, fundamental reason – they have the biggest media and international institutions withholding certain funds from Poland on their side. I know these funds will arrive for us right after October 15th, and we are already implementing projects with Polish funds – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Kalisz.

18:57

Tusk:

On Defense Matters, We Collaborated with Lech Kaczyński. It Never Occurred to Us to Fly Around and Reveal NATO Secret Documents
- When I was Prime Minister later, and Lech Kaczyński was President, we argued on almost every issue. We were very good colleagues, but we argued very hard in politics. On defense matters, we collaborated; it never occurred to us to fly around at press conferences and reveal NATO secret documents, it would never have occurred to either him or me that such people, either traitors or madmen like Macierewicz, would decide on the Polish army, on Polish defense – said Donald Tusk in Ełk. - We prepared this strategy together. Polish generals had the obligation, according to the strategy prepared by Lech Kaczyński, to prepare a defense variant in case the American army and NATO forces were not able to help us in time. How to effectively set up a defense line, being aware of the huge military advantage Russia has over Poland if NATO is not ready to defend – he continued.

19:00

Tusk to Kaczyński and Morawiecki: Apologize and Get Out
- Jarek, Mateusz, apologize and get out, the whole of Poland reads this acronym that way – Donald Tusk said in Ełk.

Morawiecki:

Tusk Has a Promised Brussels Position in Exchange for Bringing Illegal Immigrants to Poland if He Wins
- Donald Tusk is a dangerous man. He wants to set Poland on fire simply because he sees he is losing, that he has no chance of winning. And that's why he wants to either cause a great upheaval in the Polish army or bring about large masses of illegal immigrants who will arrive in Poland - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in Kalisz. - I was recently at the European Council in Spain. There I learned what they are talking about – that Donald Tusk already has a promised position, but not for free. This position is in exchange for him bringing illegal immigrants to Poland, should he win the elections. This is a promise that they told me he has already made, there in Brussels, for a chair, for personal gain - he continued.

Tusk on Kaczyński: A Hopeless Case

- Anyone who observed that meeting also saw a woman who, to put it mildly, does not share my views and asked very tough and unfriendly questions. Nobody did her any harm. Such people who want to polemicize with me are always listened to, and I dedicate a lot of time to them. I prefer to spend that time on them than on President Kaczyński, because I believe he is already a hopeless case. In terms of persuasion and the ability to convince someone of something sensible, he is so engrossed in his own interests, himself, and PiS that I don't think he would be open to any form of dialogue – stated Donald Tusk in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

20:18

Tusk to Rymanowski: You Must Suffer More Than I Do When You See What They've Done to Public Television
- Unfortunately, I cannot claim the palm of primacy here when it comes to strong language and attacking opponents. When I returned to Polish politics, I said I wouldn't back down. What PiS has done to public television, and you have no doubts about it, Mr. Rymanowski, you are a journalist, we've known each other for so many years. I know you understand the media well. You must suffer more than I do when you see what they've done to public television. From morning to evening, they insult me, my work, but they insult the intelligence of all Polish women and men - stated Donald Tusk on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

Mentzen:

I am convinced I will be able to force other MPs in the next Sejm to implement our program

- Our goal is the implementation of our program, which we published in June. One can pursue their postulates, for example, if one has a blocking minority in the Sejm. One can then say that we want something in return for supporting our bill. I do not intend to co-create a government with either Civic Coalition or PiS. However, this does not mean that we do not intend to implement our program. I do not intend to enter into any coalition with PiS, if only because they would outmaneuver me, and I don't believe PiS would want to implement my program. However, I am convinced that I will be able to force other MPs in the next Sejm to implement specific points from our program - stated Sławomir Mentzen in an interview with Piotr Kraśko on the program “Fakty po faktach” on TVN24.

Mentzen:

Our Only Demand Regarding Homosexuals is to Abolish Inheritance and Gift Tax

- We do not have any, not the slightest, idea in our program to restrict the rights of women or gays, nothing of the sort is in our program. The only demand we have regarding homosexuals is to abolish inheritance and gift tax, because at this moment this tax is paid mainly by gay people, as families are exempt from it. This is the only demand in this matter. What does it mean, that we want to increase the rights of gay people? In no way do we want to decrease them - stated Sławomir Mentzen on TVN24.

20:23

Mentzen on TVN: You're Not Treating Us Fairly. You Described Meetings of All Other Parties, and About Us, You Broadcast a Slander Worthy of TVP

- You're not treating us fairly. In today's program, there wasn't a word about Konfederacja. You described the meetings of Hołownia, Lewica, PiS, Civic Platform, and about us, you broadcast this slander worthy of TVP [TVN report on Konfederacja] - stated Sławomir Mentzen on TVN24.

20:26

Tusk on Konfederacja: Behind the Free Market Slogans Lurks Their True Current - Radically Anti-European
- I criticized Konfederacja not because I was afraid, but so that people would take a closer look at what Konfederacja is. So that voters, both male and female, who think about economic freedoms, would not be deceived, because behind these very free market slogans lurks the true current of Konfederacja - primarily radically anti-European - said Donald Tusk in 'Gość Wydarzeń' on Polsat News.

Tusk:

I've often heard from Kaczyński that being in the EU is a burden for him to bear
- On October 15th, our presence in the European Union will be decided. I've been repeating this for some time because I see that not everyone understands how high the stakes of these elections are. All these actions by PiS, these anti-European ones, blocking funds, provoking border blockades, are truly leading to Poland's exit from the EU. [...] I've often heard from Jarosław Kaczyński - back in the days when he was capable of talking normally with people - that being in the EU is a burden for him to bear - said Donald Tusk in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - He told me this in private, that the only reason he grudgingly accepts Poland's presence in the EU is because the majority of Poles want it. And he said: but as soon as the mood changes, it will be better for Poland to leave the EU - he continued.

Tusk:

President Duda will adapt to the election results, as I assume he is fundamentally a democrat
- I am practically certain - and I can take bets, although I am not a gambler, but with you I can make a bet, so sincerely - that together with the Third Way and the Left, we will be forming a government. Then it will be a question for President Duda, how he will feel with such a parliamentary majority. I heard a sentence from President Duda that was an optimistic harbinger, that President Duda - forgive me for this phrasing - will become wiser after we win the elections and will not block the will of Poles - Donald Tusk said in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - These are kind words from me that President Duda will adapt to the election results, because it means I assume that somewhere deep down he is fundamentally a democrat, that he will not deny the election results - he continued. - For so many years, President Duda tolerated Jarosław Kaczyński, who turned his back on him, didn't shake his hand, had such a grimace at the sight of President Duda that it seemed he felt sick. President Duda somehow endured under Kaczyński's wing, so he will also manage with a democratic government - he added.

20:28

Tusk:

We're conducting polls, the difference between PiS and KO hovers between 1 and 5 points. Victory is within reach
Every day we conduct such polls, and as the elections draw nearer, they become more intense, and this difference between PiS and KO hovers between 1 and 5 points. So victory is within reach - stated Donald Tusk on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" program.

20:31

Tusk:

The time for speculation on whether The Left and Third Way will cross the electoral threshold is over. The number one problem now is who will win the election. I urge everyone to vote for Civic Coalition.

- Fortunately, the time for speculation on whether The Left and Third Way will cross the electoral threshold is over. I am certain that we are talking to each other in Ełk, and Ełk is a fantastic place. It seems to me today, if you were to ask me as a political expert, that the problem of crossing the threshold is settled. The number one problem now is who will win the election. I urge everyone to vote for Civic Coalition - stated Donald Tusk in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:37

Tusk:

I've read speculations that I want to create chaos or that I'm preparing a coup. These kinds of notions are simply stupid
- Suspecting that someone from the democratic side, because I read these speculations, that I want to create chaos here or the word 'coup' has appeared again, that I'm preparing a coup. If the matter weren't so serious, I'd say it's funny, but because it is a serious matter, I'll say that these kinds of notions, manufactured by PiS, that democrats are a threat to democracy in Poland, are simply stupid - Donald Tusk said on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

20:51

Tusk:

No Agreement on Forced Relocation of Migrants. I Want Billions of Euros from the EU for Accepting Ukrainian Refugees
- There is no agreement on forced relocation. Brussels will not tell anyone to [accept a specific number of people], I am sure. All European states have agreed that Europe as a whole must cooperate to limit or eliminate illegal migration. [...] Poland, after winning the elections, will be an active and co-decisive player on the European political scene. We will decide how the migration pact looks in practice in Europe - Donald Tusk said on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń". - There will be no forced relocation. There will be no visa trading. I know you didn't want to talk too much about this on Polsat either, because it's so embarrassing that no one wants to talk about it openly. They really traded visas, they signed an agreement for another 75,000 visas - he continued. - I want to get billions of euros from Europe for accepting thousands of Ukrainian refugees - he added.

Błaszczak:

Tusk Tries to Drag Military into Election Campaign Using "Eight-Star" Generals

- The opposition would very much like to destabilize the Polish Army. Donald Tusk's statements, all those lies and manipulations he engages in, seem to serve this purpose. Tusk lost the debate with Prime Minister Morawiecki and has clearly lost his mind, so he's attacking this way. This is irresponsible action; he is trying to drag the military into the election campaign, using retired generals. One could say they are "eight-star" generals. These eight stars, of course, refer to the vulgarities they use. Because the highest general rank is four stars. But one could call these gentlemen eight-star generals, who are running on the Civic Platform lists, or within the Senate pact, and thus are being drawn into politics. But it was they who contributed to the liquidation of military units – stated Mariusz Błaszczak on TVP Info.

- During the PO-PSL governments, during Donald Tusk's governments, the year 2011 was particularly disastrous; the most military units were liquidated that year, including an entire division responsible for security at the Brześć Gate – he continued.

Błaszczak on Generals Andrzejczak and Piotrowski: These Two Gentlemen Generals Shed Their Uniforms Themselves
- These two gentlemen generals shed their uniforms themselves, so we reacted instantly. The threats that are real mean there is no time for speculation. Decisions have been made. Yesterday, the President appointed successors to these gentlemen. General Kukuła is an experienced commander, originating from special forces. He formed the Territorial Defence Force (WOT). He was the general commander, and we have carried out many projects together. We have broken down a lot of entrenched bureaucracy within military institutions. Because this bureaucracy exists, it is still there – Mariusz Błaszczak said on TVP Info.

Błaszczak on resignation reports cited by Tusk: Tusk tried to destabilize the situation in the Polish Army. What he is doing is despicable

- He [Donald Tusk] tried to destabilize the situation in the Polish Army this way. Well, one could use the harshest words to describe what Tusk is doing. It is despicable, perhaps I will only say that. No. It is untrue – stated Mariusz Błaszczak on TVP Info.
