At 12:30 PM at the PGE Narodowy stadium, Morawiecki will meet with entrepreneurs to discuss their experiences with the shield programs and present the horizon and scope of further planned mechanisms – we hear.

As we wrote on 300POLITYKA, Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign headquarters is launching a new phase of the campaign with the "Report on the State of the Nation" initiative. Over the next 120 hours of the campaign, each day will be dedicated to a different topic. The first topic is work and workplace safety. - President Andrzej Duda is traveling to Washington to attend to Polish matters, and I can already say that there will definitely be good news from Washington following the presidents' meeting. We worked very intensively on the agenda for these talks this weekend - said Krzysztof Szczerski in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Polish Radio 1.

- I can also say, I cannot name the countries, but after the information that the President will meet with President Trump, many capitals in the region, especially ours, are also holding consultations with us, because the President will indeed go there with a voice, on behalf of several states in our region - said Krzysztof Szczerski on Radio Jedynka.

Presidential candidate Trzaskowski and other candidates have already announced their international commitments in this campaign. They boil down to two points: blocking the Vistula Spit canal and blocking the Central Communication Port (CPK) – said Krzysztof Szczerski on Jedynka radio.

- For those words, yesterday's meeting with the president will result in an even greater punishment [than a lawsuit], eternal shame, because speaking and comparing his predecessors to coronavirus and its victims, those who died, is demeaning and offensive to the families of the sick, to those who died. Comparing a year of maternity leave, the Large Family Card, 1000 PLN per child, a drop in unemployment to a single-digit level, support for start-ups, a youth employment program, and many other things that were successfully accomplished, also with the votes of PiS, because they voted for them, is simply unworthy. President Duda divided Poland for 5 years, he strengthened these divisions, and the last 2 weeks show how panicked he is, how fear has big eyes for Andrzej Duda, and the dread of leaving the Presidential Palace and what will happen afterwards is enormous, and he is spouting such nonsense - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- I believe one must be president of all Poles, and I will be, while Andrzej Duda never wanted to be president of all Poles. He is the president of one political formation, no, of one man, Chairman Kaczyński; he is his dream candidate. I, on the other hand, want to be president also of those who will not vote for me, who will vote for my competitors, but from the first day of my presidency, I will strive to convince them that change is needed today, that they can feel dignified in Poland, that they will be respected. I say this particularly to voters of PiS and PO – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the "Piasecki Interview" on TVN24.

- Don't give in to poll manipulations, because they were very wrong. Before the EP elections, on Friday, at the end of the campaign, one poll gave the Civic Coalition a 7% lead over PiS. It ended up completely the opposite. It was wrong by about 15 percentage points. - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- Just a moment. Most of these issues, including the few you mention, have been addressed through other methods. If you're revolutionizing the situation of children or families with children, representing a significant civilizational change, for instance, through the 500 Plus or 300 Plus programs, that negates, it's significantly more than what zero VAT on children's clothes would bring – said Piotr Gliński in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

I am able to win over significantly more voters from Konfederacja than any other candidate, and this is an extremely important matter. I am able to further mobilize my voters, who voted differently in previous years in the second round. There was no clear-cut stance from those voters who voted for the PSL candidate in the first round. Therefore, this mobilizing capacity, which Jacek Majchrowski, who endorsed me, speaks of, that I can count on votes from big cities and small towns, from the right and the left, perhaps without the extremes, but I have a much greater ability to attract voters from various sides than Rafał Trzaskowski and any other competitor – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

We're talking about various things. We're talking about social change, about great developmental opportunities, about economic stimulus, about plugging budget leaks, about the fact that the state is functioning now, whereas five years ago it wasn't. We're also talking about worldview issues, because many parents are concerned, for example, about various types of ideologies that reach their children through different programs that someone is trying to push – said Piotr Gliński in RMF FM.

- For 2.5 years, we have been preparing a bill together with artistic communities in Poland, a comprehensive, systemic bill on the status of a professional artist. Primarily, it's about ensuring that in Poland, artists, people of culture – not celebrities, you know, because the reporter knows, they are already the elite of social life – but the average Polish artist who struggles to make a living and generally has a very low or no pension, can function in a civilized manner – stated Piotr Gliński on RMF FM.

- There is a need to create an insurance fund for artists in Poland. I don't know how much it will be, it will certainly be smaller. About 50% smaller for sure. [3%] if it will be at all, because the bill is still being prepared. Nothing is decided yet – he continued.

- I absolutely do not expect device prices to rise. Partly because device prices in Poland are already several percent higher than, for example, in Germany – the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

“A nuclear power plant in Poland has been under construction for a long time - perhaps even the first plans were in the 70s. As a child, I remember that in Żarnowiec they also showed that a nuclear power plant would be built there, and to this day it hasn't. Under Civic Platform, there was even a plenipotentiary for the construction of a nuclear power plant. He took a lot of money, did nothing. It's the same now. Let's not be fooled. It's an election campaign and they'll promise many things. Today it's not about a nuclear power plant, it's about Poles' energy security, which must be ensured through an energy mix” – said Robert Biedroń, a candidate for president and Member of the European Parliament, in a conversation with Dominika Wielowieyska on Radio TOK FM's morning program. 

- In recent days, a huge dispute has arisen over the number of unemployed people in Poland. PiS representatives, Mr. Sobolewski, and also PiS politicians, have often said that this million is an inaccuracy. Today, I want to agree with PiS. It is indeed not a million. It is over a million. It is exactly 1,011,718 people. That is the number of unemployed in Poland today - said Cezary Tomczyk during a press conference.

- Today, we must state clearly that the data coming from official sources, data from GUS (Central Statistical Office), data from the Ministry of Labour, are data that we must address today. But let's remember that in the lawsuit filed by Andrzej Duda's representatives, there is something else. Namely, in the lawsuit, as admitted by Andrzej Duda's representative, there has been an increase in the number of unemployed by 100,000 people from January to May of this year. By 100,000 people, just during these months. This is a very important element today, because job security today, and work in general, these elements are very important and we must remember them - he added. 

- It was Rafał Trzaskowski who raised the issue of unemployment in a false context regarding the coronavirus. So, President Duda compared the 'achievements' of Rafał Trzaskowski's party with the achievements of the coronavirus in terms of the scope of unemployment, and this comparison, regarding the scope of unemployment, falls crushingly on the governments of Civic Platform - stated Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- In these elections, President Duda is running. It's probably not surprising that the entire campaign revolves around him. When Jarosław Kaczyński ran in the presidential elections, he was much more visible than in these elections. This is logical. And the President, as the party leader, is responsible for the entirety of this machine, our structures, which support the candidate. „This morning I visited Rafał Trzaskowski's website because I wanted to discuss his program. I found a video there where Rafał Trzaskowski shows a parrot, he shows a dog, but he doesn't say a word about the program. You won't find a single word about Rafał Trzaskowski's program. Perhaps, similar to President Duda, he knows there's nothing left to promise Poles today because Civic Platform disappointed us; during their 8 years in power, they didn't do everything that needed to be done for Poland. That's why they don't have a program today. They are counting on the fear of PiS alone being enough for Civic Platform to return to power. Let's not be fooled by this” - stated Robert Biedroń, a Left candidate for president and Member of the European Parliament, at a press conference in Łódź. 

- First and foremost, the president should be an arbiter when conflicts and real problems arise. Today, we must realize that the situation is extremely difficult. After or during the epidemic, at a time when we face a huge economic crisis, the most important thing is to protect every job. This is the absolute foundation in these difficult times, and therefore, the president should, at this moment, primarily play a very active role. I guarantee that if I become the President of the Republic of Poland, I will primarily stimulate the government to act. I will ask it questions, I will put ready-made solutions on the table, solutions that will help us primarily protect jobs. That I will treat the Tripartite Labour Council (RDS) seriously, because it is in the RDS that we should all discuss the most important problems: economic problems, jobs, worker protection, issues related to education, industry, or healthcare. The president must, at this moment, be on the side of the people, help solve these difficult problems. He must put concrete solutions on the table. He must also stimulate the government to act, and sometimes hold it accountable. He must simply play an active role. Today, I am starting a tour of Poland, and I will speak precisely about these problems, but I will also talk about solutions. For example, about solutions concerning education, problems related to remote learning, overloaded curricula. I will talk about how to solve this, I will propose solutions, but above all, I will propose a completely new approach to these problems - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press briefing.

- Today, what we are observing are further shields that are not sufficiently prepared and, above all, not consulted with local governments, trade unions, and all those who care about solving real problems. As a local government representative myself, I can clearly state that these shields are insufficient, that they do not address all problems, that numerous questions are arising, for example, concerning the facilitation of employee dismissals. These questions simply need to be asked today because we must save Polish companies, but we must also save every job. Above all, we must talk about these difficult issues - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press briefing.

- I am saying this clearly: as President, I will present a report on the state of the nation, where I will speak in detail about the problems and also prepare solutions to these problems. This way, I will be an active partner to the government when problems arise. I will also physically, in reality, be present where there are problems, especially after the epidemic, especially if an economic crisis comes. That's what a president is for: to play an active role, the role of an arbiter, and above all, to listen to all specialists, to submit concrete proposals, and this report on the state of the nation is the kind of idea that underpins an active presidency - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press briefing.

- I hear that President [Duda] is going to Washington, but he hasn't informed the public or the opposition about what postulates he is taking there. If it really concerns the presence of American troops, then this is one of the rare examples where there is a continuation of foreign policy. That's how it should be in a modern state. We were the ones who started bringing American soldiers to Poland. The PiS government continued this very successfully. However, we hear various kinds of reports from abroad that Americans supposedly want to move their nuclear weapons, and that discussions might also concern issues related to the construction of a nuclear power plant. We don't know this, and we should know - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press briefing.

- First and foremost, I believe we should not revisit matters that have been settled, because we differ from our competitors in that we draw conclusions from what has happened in recent years. And we simply listen to our citizens. If someone asks me whether I ever voted to raise the retirement age, I truthfully say no. However, four years ago there was indeed a vote in which I participated, but I clearly state, and have been saying this for many, many months, even years, and everyone can check it, that today on this particular issue we all have the same opinion: the retirement age will not be raised - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press briefing, adding that on fundamental issues, PO politicians have been able to admit citizens were right.

- Agriculture is, above all, life; it's not just a profession. It's simply life, a lifestyle, a life choice. I can confidently say it's a life's calling. It is extremely important for the functioning of the Polish state, because, as I emphasize practically on every occasion, the role of Polish farmers for our state and our society is invaluable. They are the ones who secure one of the important sectors of public safety - said President Andrzej Duda during the signing of a program agreement with the National Council of Agricultural Chambers.

- The Polish Coalition Club, on my initiative, has just submitted a bill to lower VAT in Poland, reducing the standard rate from 23% to 15% and the reduced rate from 8% to 5%. This is the strongest anti-crisis shield we can offer. This is an opportunity to overcome the economic crisis and improve the labor market - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press briefing in Gorzów Wielkopolski.

- Many European countries, such as Germany, Great Britain, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, and Bulgaria, are deciding to lower VAT. For example, in Germany, the rate is being reduced from 19% to 16% until the end of this year. Our proposal covers various types of services, electricity, fuel, as well as services in car repair and body shops. A very important aspect is the reduction of VAT on children's clothing from 23% to 16%. But it also applies to the tourism, hotel, and gastronomic services sectors, from 8% to 5%. For food, we propose a 0% rate, specifically for healthy food - he continued.

“Today marks 100 days since the state of epidemic was declared. Today also marks 100 days since a certain summation, and it is also a significant day for Polish entrepreneurs. It is worth emphasizing that entering this war with COVID-19, we had no rules described in any textbooks. No one had previously presented how to fight against a simultaneous blow to supply, demand, company liquidity, and the immense threat of rising unemployment. We had to act swiftly” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“Today we know that to the question asked then [at the beginning of the epidemic], whether to save public health and lives, or to save the economy, the best possible answer had to be found. That answer is: We had to save the economy from the start precisely to save the health and lives of citizens. This combination succeeded. It succeeded in the opinion of the best institutions evaluating and analyzing the state of the fight, the state of this battle with the coronavirus” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“The pandemic isn't entirely behind us yet, but the fact that we have it largely under control fills me with optimism and provides a good springboard for the future, giving good opportunities to emerge quickly from this crisis, and at the same time, a chance for a swift return to normality – the kind of normality we had before the coronavirus” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

„Today is that great day, on which I can say that 100 days after the declaration of the epidemic state, we have already disbursed PLN 100 billion to save 5 million jobs. This rescue came in time. We see comparisons with other countries, significantly richer, significantly more affluent countries like Spain, France, Italy, Great Britain, Belgium. The pandemic was handled much worse there” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“Much like how each of us sometimes ponders alternative history, let's ask how dealing with the coronavirus would look if the Civic Platform, the party of Deputy Chairman Trzaskowski, Mr. Budka, and Mr. Schetyna, were in power. Well, when the financial crisis struck in 2008, a crisis we now know was far smaller than the COVID-10 crisis, how did the PO government react? After over seventy days, at the end of November, following that Black Monday of September 15, 2008, the first aid package was presented, and only adopted at the beginning of 2009. That was the PO government's reaction. We reacted instantly,” said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“Today I see that we have a chance for a V-shaped recovery from the crisis, meaning a rapid economic rebound. This requires accord. This requires good governance together with President Andrzej Duda,” said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“Today we have a leader in President Andrzej Duda. These shields, the financial shield – PLN 100 billion to save 5 million jobs, to save your companies, would not have been possible without him, without President Andrzej Duda,” he added. 

- We are also here to, in times when very important decisions are being made in Poland, direct a demand to President Andrzej Duda. A demand that all decisions and commitments that may be made in the coming days be made here in Poland. That consensus in foreign policy be reached on the Polish forum, in agreement with the opposition. I want to say this clearly from this place. The election campaign cannot be a period in which irresponsible decisions are made, serving solely the election campaign. Today, the vast majority of Poles disagree with making decisions regarding, for example, the potential deployment of nuclear weapons on our country's territory, without public opinion, without a reliable, substantive discussion - said Borys Budka during a press conference in Wrocław.

“A quickly and efficiently functioning state, a capable state, not a state acting like a government of neoliberals, like a night watchman. Do you remember those comparisons that the state should be a night watchman? Yes, the state of Civic Platform, the party of Mr. Vice-Chairman Trzaskowski, was a night watchman, one who during the previous crisis locked himself in his night watchman's booth and did nothing. He waited for the crisis to pass” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

„The significant losses that the Polish economy suffered then, during the PO's time, saw an increase in unemployment to over 2 million. When Mr. Trzaskowski joined the government of Mr. Donald Tusk and Mr. Rostowski, back in the autumn of 2013, unemployment exceeded 2 million people. It was our actions that led to the decrease in unemployment. Today's defense of the Polish economy, of Polish jobs, amounts to 100 billion zlotys for saving jobs” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

"With Mr. President, who is traveling overseas also to attract big, new investments, American investments, because that is what we need here in Poland - new funds, new financial resources, new investments, new technologies, so that Polish employees earn as much as possible" - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

For us, these are very important elections. For all of us. Not just here in Lower Silesia, but I want to say that we will do everything, in every district, in every city of Lower Silesia, to achieve the best possible result, to give Poland a chance to choose Rafał Trzaskowski. In its latest spot, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister informs about the transfer of PLN 100 billion from the financial shield to entrepreneurs as part of the fight against the coronavirus crisis. The recording repeatedly features the figure of 100 billion, citing further reasons why the aid is expected to be effective.

The Chancellery of the Prime Minister points to "responsibility" and "respect for the budget," while simultaneously juxtaposing this with "cooperation with the president and entrepreneurs." Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki had previously conveyed a message about making quick decisions in cooperation with Andrzej Duda, who was seeking re-election, during a special event.

The head of government repeatedly noted that, in his assessment, such a scale of aid would not have been possible without good relations between the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and the Presidential Palace. And these relations, according to the Prime Minister, could have been disrupted by the potential victory of Rafał Trzaskowski, to illustrate which Mateusz Morawiecki invoked elements of laissez-faire:

„We know that today the teaching profession is treated like perpetual volunteer work. This cannot be the case. In a state that wants to develop, education and learning should be priorities, the very best social investment. I received signals from the president with great concern regarding planned salary increases for teachers, which are not guaranteed today in terms of budget planning. - Most of you remember the previous crisis, which was incidentally much smaller than the one we face today. The one from 11, 12 years ago. How did PO behave back then, when the first packages were introduced? They were adopted after nearly 4 months. Imagine what it would be like if we acted at their pace today. It would be a tragedy for millions of Polish families. What did their chief ideologue, one of the main ideologues of Civic Platform, Janusz Lewandowski, say? - We are facing the decisive straight, the final straight, as athletes say, and that is why all these investments are possible here, and even much more, if there is a continuation of this kind of good, seamless cooperation, as until now, and not cooperation that wouldn't exist, because the competitor, the rival candidate for president [Duda], is precisely the vice-chairman of the same Civic Platform, a child of Donald Tusk's political marketing, Mr. Trzaskowski. It was he who said a few days ago that he was not an MP 4 years ago. He didn't even remember he was an MP? This is an unimaginable opportunity and investment perspective for us, but within this huge amount of €170 billion, €33.5 billion will be funds designated for Polish agriculture and Polish farmers, and what is extremely important, as a result of Commissioner Wojciechowski's actions, these funds have been increased by the European Commission by €26.5 billion in the overall European budget. As a result, €3 billion more for Polish farmers than initially foreseen will be transferred to Poland - stated President Andrzej Duda in Wierzchosławice.

- You can smile when my competitors today say that Duda promised to raise direct payments to the EU average and hasn't done it yet. Well, I'm very sorry, but our farmers have been receiving direct payments at the level they negotiated all along. They negotiated them in 2013, and that's what they've been receiving ever since. They've been paid out since 2015, for 7 years, meaning they will be paid until 2022. New ones will only be available from 2022, and it is precisely on this that I am working with Mr. Commissioner [Wojciechowski], so that these payments are indeed at the European average level for Polish farmers. And everything indicates that we will succeed, because the increases we see, and which I am talking about now, I repeat: 33.5 billion euros for Polish farmers in the next financial perspective, 3 billion more than originally planned, give huge chances for this. And I am glad that this money will come to Poland, and I promise at this moment that I will not only strive with the Prime Minister to have this finally approved and adopted by European leaders, but above all, everything must be done to ensure that this money is used in the best possible way – stated President Andrzej Duda in Wierzchosławice.

It is true that not all of the 2015 election commitments have been fulfilled to date. However, those that we considered, and that I consider, to be the most important, the most essential, the most socially encompassing, and at the time most frequently raised by representatives of society whom I met during my election campaign, have been fulfilled. Above all, one thing has been achieved.
