All of this fits within the concept of total opposition, meaning one that rejects all principles, completely disregards Poland's interests as a whole, and simply fights for the support of that part of society which is ready to believe anything, which has a very short memory. Because only someone with a very short memory can take these attacks seriously at the moment, or someone who is very emotionally engaged against the current government - said Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on Jedynka radio.

- Democracy assumes the existence of a certain community. From the opposition's perspective, there is no community, unless the opposition is in power, and this non-recognition of democracy consists of them believing that, while certain procedures like elections can be carried out, they must emerge victorious. If they do not emerge victorious, then there is no democracy - said Jarosław Kaczyński on Polskie Radio Jedynka.

- These are candidacies [Trzaskowski's and Sikorski's] which, from our point of view, are roughly equivalent. That is, neither of these gentlemen is fit for the office of President of Poland, and this would lead to very serious disruptions, to the paralysis of the state – Jarosław Kaczyński said on Jedynka radio.

- Unprecedented and scandalous, and what's more, it shows that Germany is unfortunately changing very slowly. I once had the opportunity to say this directly to the then Chancellor, Mrs. Merkel, that as long as certain attitudes of Germans towards Poland and Poles do not change, then there will never truly be good relations. Setting aside other issues, such as reparations. Why should Poland be the country that was destroyed, including the systematic mass murder of its citizens, and simply move on from that? But this is simply about certain attitudes. Because this is the attitude of old Prussian nationalism in its worst form. I say Prussian to avoid saying something even worse. That's how it should be understood, and it must be rejected very decisively, and every Pole who possesses even a shred of national dignity must reject it. This is simply a supreme scandal, and what's more, it's a complete untruth - stated Jarosław Kaczyński on "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1, when asked about the words of the President of the German Federal Constitutional Court.

"On Rafał Trzaskowski [who the Civic Platform will back today]. I have no doubts. It's a very natural choice. I assume this will be the decision. I ran in these primaries because I familiarized myself with the polls conducted at the end of November, and these polls revealed the candidate profile, and Rafał Trzaskowski fits this profile. It's a bit like in sports in politics, which politicians often forget. If a team achieved great success 8 years ago, won the world championship, it doesn't mean that the same lineup will keep winning those championships later. Donald Tusk understands this, but not everyone is aware of it, both at the national and local level" – stated Jacek Jaśkowiak in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "One on One".

I do not question the competence of either Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska or, even more so, Radosław Sikorski, because you, the public, know how the state functions, you know the principles of state organs' operation. Their knowledge and competence are indisputable. However, in politics, one must also look at the element connected with voter expectations, expectations of certain changes. And what was interesting to voters 10 years ago is not necessarily interesting today – stated Jacek Jaśkowiak in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden" (One on One).

In politics, it's like in sports. I assume that Rafał Trzaskowski, with his competencies, freshness, and the fact that his profile matches voter expectations, is capable of winning these [presidential] elections right now. If he wins these elections, then at that moment, it's naturally difficult to talk about any responsibility. "What did we do wrong in the campaign? There's a passage in the Gospel according to Matthew that says, 'Do not cast pearls before swine.' I am deeply convinced that Polish politics, Polish politicians, and also commentators, are perhaps not ready for Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska. We are not ready for a completely honest politician, one who doesn't calculate, doesn't scheme, but simply says things as they are." - There's still a considerable period until the elections. Marshal Kidawa-Błońska has indeed seen a dip in polls recently. I don't rule out that these numbers would return to the level from a few weeks ago, so PO's move surprises me a bit, but it also shows intentions related to postponing the election date. Not to mention that Rafał Trzaskowski would once again not keep his word. Not long ago, he mentioned he wasn't going anywhere - said Piotr Müller in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Polskie Radio Trójka's "Salon polityczny".

„Kidawa-Błońska doesn't fit this masculinized world, though she proves to be the only tough one. If we had had the chance to convince people, if the Marshal [of the Sejm] had had the chance to tour Poland as she was supposed to, traversing a map filled with meetings, we would have convinced society of the Marshal's honesty and her clear vision for the presidency” - said Izabela Leszczyna of Civic Coalition in an interview with TOK FM.

- I think that's primarily what it's about. This nervous reaction. I think it's primarily about issues related to reprivatization. Because where do these emotions from the former Mayor of Warsaw stem from in this regard? It's very unusual, unprecedented for a politician of this level, to be so emotionally afraid of something so ordinary, in essence, that arises when someone is elected to another position – said Piotr Müller on Radio Trójka.

“Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska did not resign. All yesterday’s uproar was a media fabrication. Today we are meeting because we are a serious, responsible party, ready to take power in Poland and care for our beloved homeland, which under PiS rule is experiencing extremely dangerous moments” - Izabela Leszczyna of Civic Coalition told TOK FM.

- I'm wondering how the Civic Platform is approaching this, because just a few days ago we heard that mail-in voting was supposedly a huge health threat, and now PO will start collecting 100,000 signatures. I don't know if they no longer see any epidemic threat? This shows such hypocrisy and untrue statements they made just a few days ago – said Piotr Müller on Radio Trójka.

"I very much fear that sympathies, which have once been allocated by other candidates through their theatrical ploys – most often, though I understand this is politics – but positive emotions, which have once drifted away from our candidate, will be very difficult to reclaim or to persuade voters back to us within a few weeks" - said Izabela Leszczyna from Civic Coalition on TOK FM.

„I've had a lot of calls since yesterday saying, 'Why are you giving up on the only bright spot in Polish politics?' and I am not giving up on that spot. This speaks volumes about the Speaker and what kind of politician she is. Yesterday, she clearly stated that we will make a decision that allows the entire Coalition, the entire Civic Platform to stay together and win these elections. "Everything indicates, although I can speak privately as the presidium has not yet issued a statement, that I assume the work in the Senate on what has come to us from the Sejm and is causing controversy will certainly not be rushed, careless, and in violation of parliamentary custom and practice, as happened in the Sejm. - De facto, there is no significant difference between Civic Platform candidates, whether it's Sikorski, Trzaskowski, Budka, Schetyna, or any other. Electing one of Civic Platform's representatives – we're talking about two very combative figures within Platform, but more broadly, electing any opposition candidate, because they are all focused on attacking PiS – would instantly mean a war at the top, an immediate war between the president and the prime minister, with the government, and parliament. This is not what we need in these difficult times. "I will not participate in these elections. Poland has two safety mechanisms that can stop bad actions. One is the Senate, the other is our local government. As it is, it was noticed, people started talking about it, Kaczyński stopped, the Senate and local government officials have given us a chance for free and democratic elections. - There are many sensible people in the United Right with a genuine desire to act for Poland. However, they are blocked by the illness of this system, which I have already spoken about. These parties also need to be helped to unblock themselves – said Szymon Hołownia on Radio Plus.

- How do we want to carry out this change? Firstly, immediately after taking office, through broad consultations at last. Not just professional ones. With doctors, nurses, paramedics, medical analysts, pharmacists, patients, managers, in order to develop a common, civic bill project - he continued.

- The change I envision is based on three pillars. Firstly, it is full medical care within reach. Close, fast, and comprehensive. Once every few years, everyone gets one day off work to undergo a full range of preventive examinations - he added.

- The second thing is a change in management. Of course, we must acknowledge that we are in the 21st century, which means more telediagnostics, more of these new technologies, but it also involves transferring the hospital network to regional self-governments, it means transferring primary healthcare facilities (POZ) and outpatient specialist care to municipalities and districts - Hołownia stated.

- As for the third pillar, it is care for healthcare workers, meaning ensuring they are decently remunerated, so they don't have to exhaust themselves with consecutive shifts they take on - he assured.

- We have completed the screening of nearly 14,000 miners. The results are currently coming in, and we will likely have around 200 positive results today or tomorrow. Subsequently, tomorrow and on Sunday, we intend to retest everyone who had negative results. We will conduct 3,500 tests today, 5,000 tomorrow, and 5,000 on Sunday. This will effectively conclude our double cycle of examining this very large and serious phenomenon. On Monday, we will launch another action; we have randomly checked samples in other mines. We have literally individual positive results there, but we need to be very cautious and will likely continue this action in the remaining mines. I hope these mines will be brought under control. These are outbreaks; generally, Silesia as a province, as an area, does not currently have more cases than other regions. We have seen a decrease in hospitalizations in Silesia. Therefore, this is good news. I hope that once we eliminate this outbreak, the results of new cases across Poland will be significantly, significantly lower. Fortunately, we are conducting around 20,000 tests per day across Poland and intend to increase this number further. I think this will allow us, looking at other provinces with individual cases, to maintain control of the epidemic and show that the infection curve is already declining - stated Łukasz Szumowski at a press conference.

Regarding the liquidation or limitation of single-profile hospitals – however, seeing Silesia, we must exercise a certain degree of caution. Fortunately, in Silesia, most patients infected with this virus are asymptomatic, but if they experienced a severe course of the infection, there would certainly be a need for more beds. At the same time, we are of course planning for regions with two hospitals, for example, single-profile ones, so that one can return completely to normal. And we are trying to build this bridge over what I hope will be only a few months of decline in orders, contracts, production, and customer numbers. Because the great task of rebuilding the Polish economy lies in the hands of wonderful Polish entrepreneurs, like yourselves, who built this company from the ground up. And many, many others. And in the hands of Polish workers, but all of this is happening with the help of the Polish state, which is effectively and efficiently providing immense, multi-hundred-billion-złoty aid. We are pleased that the increase in the number of unemployed people losing their jobs is much, much lower than all previous forecasts, but this increase is still occurring. These are thousands of new people who have lost their livelihoods, which is why, in accordance with the President's recommendation, we want to propose two additional protective measures, two additional supportive actions. Unemployment benefits, which will be raised from the current level of PLN 860 to PLN 1200, but also, in accordance with the President's recommendation, an additional solidarity benefit, an additional 3-month allowance for those who are currently losing their jobs, in the amount of PLN 1300 for a certain period, in such a way as to support those who find themselves in this very unfortunate situation for them, but also to enable their swift return to the labor market afterwards. These are the elements that we will present in our subsequent actions – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the "Flis" production plant in Radziejowice.

„PO has achieved world championships when it comes to breaking promises. They promised a real president, that was the election slogan of Ms. Kidawa-Błońska, and this real president didn't even last until election day. To break promises like that, you really have to know how” - said the deputy spokesperson for PiS, Radosław Fogiel, at a press conference in the Sejm.

We, first and foremost, wanted to hold the elections within the constitutional timeframe. The law was ready a month ago. The Senate froze this law for a month. Consequently, the very professional actions of Prime Minister Sasin, who supervised this process and prepared it excellently, could not be utilized due to these delaying, freezing actions by the Senate. This caused us to do our part. We saved the economy, jobs, and we did it effectively, which is confirmed by the European Commission and international financial institutions. Meanwhile, the opposition tripped over their own feet. This is their problem, of course, and consequently, an unprecedented event truly occurred: a woman, Marshal Kidawa-Błońska, was withdrawn, as I understand it, from this competition. This is a problem, of course, because as some said, there was previously a candidate who was losing in the polls, now there will be a new candidate. I don't know exactly who yet, but I am convinced that the best candidate for president is President Andrzej Duda, who has proven that he can care for the Polish economy, Polish values, Polish workers, those who have jobs, and those who, in small, as small as possible numbers, may have to temporarily use our various social programs. President Duda, who ensures that this wonderful family and social buffer, which we built in better times – 500+ for every child, plus pension – will be maintained, the president is the guarantor of this. And it is a great joy for me to cooperate in such a harmonious way with such a wonderful person, and I hope that he will also be president for another 5-year term, stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the "Flis" production facility in Radziejowice.

„Madam Marshal Kidawa-Błońska made such a decision and wanted to announce it independently. We were waiting, we were ready to stand with her alongside the leaders of the Civic Coalition. “Until recently, Szymon Hołownia wanted to participate in elections that would have been a farce, that would have been unconstitutional.
