"Did you know that candidate Duda announced he would present his election program in the coming days? The campaign has been ongoing since February 7th. On February 7th, I announced my program online. And he will show his election program in the coming days. Because Beata Szydło had to come and write it for him. How much time do we have? 10? 14 days until the elections that PiS is trying to manipulate? And he will show his program two weeks before the elections out of respect for the voters. My dear people! How can one possibly have more respect for people than they do? They truly believe that it's owed to them. That he became president, he should remain president. He would like that, of course. „May 10th is a constitutional date. The opposition often spoke of how important the constitution is to them, yet now presents plans that amount to breaking constitutional principles. Andrzej Duda’s term expires at the beginning of August” – said Minister Mariusz Błaszczak on Radio Jedynka.

- I have read many opinions, both good ones and those I personally disagree with. Of course, I will delve into further ones if I receive them, but as a politician, I make decisions, naturally basing them on and listening to opinions, but according to my own conscience. I am convinced that elections must take place. We have a constitutional provision - stated Stanisław Karczewski in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- As politicians, we make decisions. We are responsible politicians. We cannot lead to a situation of political chaos and a constitutional crisis. We already have a health crisis, an economic crisis that is already visible and we will soon feel its effects, so we cannot lead to a political crisis, a deep constitutional crisis. Elections must take place. Please take the Constitution, read Article 131. There is no possibility of continuity of power if elections do not take place. Elections must take place and elections will take place - the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm continued.

Postal elections will meet all conditions. Postal elections - everyone will be able to vote. Only those who do not want to vote, who want to boycott, will not vote. Postal voting was a great success in Bavaria and will be a great success here too. „A good meeting in good conditions. We sat far apart. We had microphones. The President presented his assessment of the current situation extensively and very insightfully. Then the leader of Porozumienie presented his point of view, referring to the fundamental conclusions that the President emphasized – about the real need to preserve the unity of this very important grouping for Poland, broadly known as the United Right” - said Deputy Minister Wojciech Maksymowicz in an interview with Beata Tadla on Onet Rano. 

I receive hundreds of emails, I receive dozens of calls asking not to back down, that elections must be held, to responsibly govern Poland and responsibly lead to elections. So that there isn't a great, please look to the future, what a difficult situation we will have if elections are not held - stated Stanisław Karczewski in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation".

"I'm taking off my party hat right now [in the context of discussions about organizing elections]. This is not just the stance of Trzaskowski or Jaśkowiak – local government officials who have clear party affiliations, but it is the stance of all local government corporations that there are no legal grounds today to provide the post office with any data. I recall that this is a stance signed by presidents such as the president of Katowice or Gdynia, who have never been politically affiliated in recent years" – said Rafał Trzaskowski, the Mayor of Warsaw, in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

"This is a violation of basic procedures. There are currently no legal grounds to release sensitive citizen data. It is enough to wait for the Senate and parliament, it is enough to wait 2 weeks. If PiS is convinced that it will push through the postal voting act, everything will be in accordance with the law," said the Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, on RMF FM.

In the Senate, it should be expected that the bill will either be rejected, although the majority is minimal but stable, it is maintained. We cannot count on our victory, on PiS's victory. We are accustomed to this, that's democracy. We will lose in the Senate, everything points to it, but we don't yet know what we will lose. Will it be a motion to reject in full, or will amendments be submitted. Depending also on the mode of rejection or the decision taken by the Senate, it will determine how the votes will be cast in the Sejm - stated Stanisław Karczewski in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

Everyone has the opportunity to conduct their campaign to the extent that it is possible, and all candidates do. It is de facto possible [to conduct an election campaign]. One can meet people, one can meet them on Facebook, in other ways. So, it is possible. - Everyone knows perfectly well that as the chairman of the national convention, I will do everything to keep Porozumienie on the right. All fantasies about Porozumienie having a place in some new center with Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz are very dangerous, because this new center will sooner or later be in coalition with the Left - said Adam Bielan in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- I don't know much about these talks [Gowin's with the opposition]. I know what I hear from the media. I am waiting for the meeting of the statutory authorities of my party, so that the president can tell us what he is discussing with the party leaders. The fact that the talks themselves are taking place is not objectionable. President Jarosław Gowin had support to seek a parliamentary majority for his amendment. I don't fully understand why these talks are still ongoing, given that the opposition leaders have firmly rejected this amendment. Participating in joint press conferences with President Andrzej Duda's counter-candidate is another matter - said Adam Bielan in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- President Jarosław Gowin convinced us that this would be a kind of compromise between the United Right and the opposition. As it turned out later, these hopes were in vain, because all opposition politicians, including Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, who is full of platitudes about building unity, when it comes to a tough political decision, sides with the total opposition - said Adam Bielan in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- I wasn't at that meeting. It was a meeting exclusively for Sejm deputies. I am a Member of the European Parliament. I met with the President earlier. However, I spoke with several colleagues who were participants of this meeting. It was in a good atmosphere. Porozumienie still supports Andrzej Duda in the presidential election - said Adam Bielan in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the program "Gość Radia ZET". 

- There is a high chance that the new, forming parliamentary majority will reject the 'envelope' or postal voting solutions on May 7th. Then we will have no problem regarding these matters, and we will only need to decide whether these elections should take place in August or at another time. Because then, the only sensible solution that will adhere to legal norms will be what Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Koalicja Polska have been saying for a long time: to introduce a state of natural disaster, one of the three states mentioned in Polish law. And then, obviously, after the period when this state ceases to be in effect, a decision will be made either to extend it or to hold elections. This is what we are talking about, and this scenario seems the most probable, provided that the parliamentary majority forming around this issue throws out these solutions that are compromising us not only domestically but also worldwide – stated Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Jacek Gądek in Gazeta.pl's Morning Interview.

- One cannot draw such scenarios categorically today. However, I do not rule out such solutions [regarding changing the Sejm Marshal], although from the perspective of our state's stability, its seriousness, and concern for the health and lives of citizens, the most important matter today is not the election or change of the Sejm Marshal, but rather the rejection of a bad solution: postal voting, envelope voting, or postal service, however we might call it - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Jacek Gądek in the Gazeta.pl Morning Interview.

- Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz's appeal to direct funds intended for the campaign towards fighting the epidemic, I think, shows that reaching this finish line in rankings or candidate starts is not his most important goal. His most important goal is to stabilize the health situation first and foremost, he is a doctor after all, so that the economy can move forward, and let's hold elections when it doesn't threaten the lives and health of Poles. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz always spoke of this, and the fact that I actually mentioned that he is moving up and second place in this ranking is very important, only further proves his good intentions, because if he truly and solely wanted to win the election, then certainly this moment, i.e., the May elections and progressing to the second round, would have been important to him. - A call for [elections] boycott is a step towards destabilization, demobilization of the opposition electorate, and playing in the orchestra under Jarosław Kaczyński's baton. Today, we must tell Poles this: the May elections are a threat. If they are held, in my opinion, they will not be held; there are no legal possibilities for that. But if they were to be held, we wanted to complete the entire stage of the election calendar in this race, because we agreed to start and finish the race. We could assess all of this after the completion. There will be no elections in May because legal solutions will not allow it. Unless a majority capable of rejecting this postal voting would be found. Then there will be a new situation, chaos, and disgrace – stated Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Jacek Gądek on Gazeta.pl's Morning Conversation.

- Further decisions lie ahead. I believe that after the May weekend, we will be able to talk about further easing. These decisions, as I said, are still to be made, because we are observing the situation. We are also acting based on the recommendations of the Minister of Health - said Jacek Sasin in a conversation with Beata Michniewicz on "Salon Polityczny" on Polish Radio Trójka.

- In my opinion, there will be no elections in May. A state of natural disaster will be declared, and the elections will most likely take place between August 15 and September 15 - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Jacek Gądek on Gazeta.pl's Morning Conversation.

– These are insinuations, these are rumors. It's not about bribing anyone with anything. That's not how we operate. Indeed, that was the modus operandi of our predecessors – said Jacek Sasin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Polskie Radio Trójka's "Political Salon."

- In my opinion, if Jarosław Gowin and his colleagues pass a decency test on May 7, we will be able to open not only our hearts, but also our doors to the Polish Coalition. I do not rule out cooperation between the Polish Coalition and Agreement at a time when Jarosław Gowin would reject postal voting together with us - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Jacek Gądek in Gazeta.pl's Morning Interview.

Access to the voter register is necessary, and Poczta Polska has requested such access from the municipal governments, as they are the ones holding these registers. However, the Union of Polish Metropolises, or any other union or local government, cannot place itself above the law. The law here is unequivocal. Article 99 of the 'anti-COVID' act clearly states that the post office has the right to expect access to this type of data. This right must be exercised. Local governments are not above the law. It is not their task to assess the provisions of the act. They have a duty to implement these statutory provisions. I emphasize this. I also state that if they fail to implement these provisions, it will mean conscious lawbreaking – said Jacek Sasin in a conversation with Beata Michniewicz on Trójka radio's "Political Salon".

„We are in agreement with the European Commission, which states that Poland has the right to organize elections, just like other member states, when it wants to, and the election date is Poland's internal matter. We are in agreement with the recommendations of the World Health Organization, which believes that postal voting is better at this time, during a pandemic, than traditional elections. The health of Poles is paramount, regardless of OSCE recommendations” - said Ryszard Czarnecki from PiS in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus. 

“If there were no pandemic in Poland, I would be a staunch opponent of postal voting. But there is a pandemic, we have an extremely difficult situation. We have a choice. Either conduct elections as they were done in Germany, Switzerland, or South Korea, which is a larger country than ours. What would be the message to the world if other countries can hold elections during a pandemic, but Poland wouldn't?” - said Ryszard Czarnecki from PiS on Radio Plus.

The Church does not have a mandate to participate in purely political disputes concerning the form or date of elections, let alone to advocate for one solution or another. However, the Church's mission in such a situation is always to kindly remind those involved in political life of the special moral and political responsibility that rests upon them - wrote the Standing Council of the Polish Episcopal Conference in a communique. - We therefore appeal to the consciences of those responsible for the common good of our Homeland, both to those in power and to the opposition, to work out a joint stance regarding the presidential elections in this extraordinary situation. We encourage the pursuit of solutions through dialogue between the parties, which would not raise legal doubts or suspicions not only of violating the current constitutional order, but also of violating the principles of free and fair elections adopted in a democratic society. We ask that, guided by the best intentions, they seek the common good in their actions, which today is expressed both in the life, health, and social well-being of Poles, as well as in broad social trust in the electoral procedures of a democratic state developed over the years. In this difficult situation we are experiencing, we should strive to cultivate mature democracy, protect the rule of law, and build – despite differences – a culture of solidarity, also in the political sphere - it was noted.

"In the process of making a responsible choice of a candidate for the office of president, particular consideration should be given to moral integrity, love of homeland and treating power as a service, competence in political and civic life, distinct identity, an attitude of dialogue and ability to cooperate, the capacity for prudent conflict resolution, substantive preparation and knowledge, as well as respect for the principles of democracy, adherence to fundamental ethical principles, respect for life from conception to natural death, a guarantee for the legal definition of marriage as a permanent union of a man and a woman, the promotion of family policy, and guarantees for parents regarding the right to raise children in accordance with their faith and values"

- I want to tell you very openly today why I will not participate in the voting procedure prepared by Minister Sasin and PiS on May 10th. I am deliberately avoiding the word 'election' because I have been analyzing this for many days and weeks already, because this situation prepared by the rulers for May 10th has nothing to do with elections. What are the reasons why, in my opinion, we should not participate in this correspondence voting on May 10th? The first is obvious, and each of us feels it. It's a security issue. Unfortunately, there is no reason today for us to trust the rulers 100% when they say something is safe and something is dangerous. Specifically regarding the elections, I would like to hear recommendations not from Mr. Sasin that his procedure is safe for health reasons; he is probably the last person in Poland today who I associate with safety. The assurance of Minister Szumowski is also not enough for me. After all, we recently heard that wearing masks is pointless, and then he introduced mandatory mask-wearing. Going into the forest was dangerous for health and life, only to find out a few days later, with more infections, that it was safe. I'm not saying this to be malicious, but to remind us all again why we have these doubts, why we don't trust those today who, having a political interest, probably disregard the safety of all those who would vote in this. All the more so because some of these regulations, such as the obligation to personally sign for the receipt of this election package, all clearly indicate that a certain risk exists. I am not able to convince, or rather, I could convince, but I don't want to convince my loved ones or anyone in Poland of something that I believe is still burdened with some risk, and regarding which our rulers do not give any guarantee of honest intention or certainty of what they are saying - stated Donald Tusk in a statement published on social media.

- There is also a second reason, equally important, although completely different. It is a constitutional reason. These elections are not elections in the systemic sense, because they will be neither free nor equal. I have already spoken about security. The changes introduced in the Electoral Code are unconstitutional because they are carried out just before the elections. I am not even mentioning what the public media are doing and that the campaign for various candidates was very, very unequal. What is perhaps most important and evident is that no one will ensure the secrecy of the ballot, and people want certainty that they are voting not so that the authorities, so that the government knows how a given citizen votes. There is also a third reason. It is not political, but a few days ago, when I recalled Professor Bartoszewski, the anniversary of his death, I thought that we so often listen with interest and often repeat some wise sayings or commandments in Poland, starting with the Ten Commandments. I so often repeat that famous sentence of Professor Bartoszewski, that if you don't know how to behave, behave decently. It seems to me that this is the kind of moment when we should not only repeat such guidelines but also apply them seriously. I am absolutely convinced that ordinary human decency does not allow us to participate in this procedure, which Minister Sasin and PiS have prepared for us, on the orders of Jarosław Kaczyński. It would probably be dishonest towards ourselves, towards Poland, towards all those who fought for fair and free elections for so many years. Finally, I will tell you that I also have a very pragmatic reason for saying these words. Namely, I am convinced that if all honest, decent Poles say "these are not elections, we will not participate in them", it will be one of the reasons why PiS will back down at the last moment. Therefore, it is worth doing, because I am convinced that it is possible, with such elementary agreement, to hold fair elections in a relatively short time. The guarantee will be that the National Electoral Commission will prepare them, and doctors and experts will issue recommendations, not ruling politicians who want to achieve some political interest at all costs. That is why I also decided to make this statement. If we are together here, if we are so unambiguous, I am almost certain that PiS will yield and, together with other political forces, will agree on a plan that will be both safe and somehow elementary decent, and which will lead to what we will call fair elections - the former Prime Minister continued.

„We would not want to discuss topics related to elections today. There are issues a hundred times more important than the date of the elections. There are matters related to the fight for the health and lives of Poles, and bringing the Polish economy out of hibernation. We do not feel authorized by the President to speak about his stance on the election date” – stated Jarosław Gowin, leader of Porozumienie, at a press conference in the Sejm.

„Likely on May 6th, the draft bill providing for postal voting will be submitted for assessment by the Senate. After we familiarize ourselves with the Senate's position, Porozumienie will decide how to vote. Until then, we would like to put an end to all speculation on this matter” - said Jarosław Gowin, the leader of Porozumienie, at a press conference in the Sejm.

"I know how I will vote. We will make joint decisions as much as possible, respecting the democratic character of our party. Porozumienie is not a one-man party. We will try to develop a solution that will be optimal for Poland" – said the leader of Porozumienie, Jarosław Gowin, at a press conference in the Sejm.

„I will not comment on those statements [by Ryszard Terlecki]. It is important for the United Right to have the best possible atmosphere. I believe that the United Right government is the best possible solution in this parliament. I would appeal to all members of our camp to avoid words that introduce unnecessary tension” - said the leader of Agreement, Jarosław Gowin, at a press conference in the Sejm.

I want to assure you of one thing. If drought occurs, there will also be assistance from the Polish state. As we have said, farmers will not be left without help. We will do everything we can to ensure that this assistance reaches farmers in every difficult situation – stated President Andrzej Duda at a press briefing.

– Every day we are losing approximately one billion zlotys due to this isolation. An active action plan is needed. The starting point for this plan is what Minister Andrzej Sośnierz has been presenting for many weeks. Today, building on Minister Sośnierz's plan, we are presenting the "Safe Citizen" strategy. This is a strategy that allows us, on the one hand, to consistently combat the epidemic and protect the health and lives of Poles, and on the other hand, to transition to reviving the Polish economy from its hibernation as quickly as possible. The starting point for this strategy is the concept of a safe state. We must rebuild the crisis management model, the epidemic combat model. A safe state is a state where a plenipotentiary, preferably at the rank of Deputy Prime Minister, is appointed to combat the epidemic. This plenipotentiary would coordinate the actions of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of National Defence, and the anti-crisis team. The team should include the ministers of interior and administration, development, and finance – said Jarosław Gowin during a press conference in the Sejm.

– We propose a significant strengthening of the wojewoda's role. The tempo and structure of actions in individual regions would depend on the wojewodas. They could issue directives to local government officials or entrepreneurs.

– The starting point for creating conditions for a safe economic reopening is, first, ensuring the safety of all services.

– All people on the front lines should undergo systematic serological testing, allowing us to identify individuals with immunity, meaning those who can work safely. Such tests, conducted on a scale of millions, should be extended to other social and professional groups.

– We must identify those groups that are particularly vulnerable, primarily seniors, but also individuals with certain pre-existing conditions, and these individuals, these groups, should receive special care. Not only from state or local government institutions. Here, we are counting on the sacrifice and engagement of Poles. A large-scale volunteer initiative needs to be launched.

– We should launch a comprehensive system for the production of Polish tests, and ultimately, we should be producing approximately 2 million per month. We must remember that the testing campaign will last for many months.

– We need significantly more diagnostic points.

– We should authorize not only diagnosticians but also scientists with the appropriate competencies to conduct tests during the epidemic.

– A rapid and systematically expanding map of acquired immunity is needed. Everything indicates that within the next dozen or so months, approximately 70% of Poles will be carriers of this virus.

– We need safe vaccinations. We do not yet know when reliable scientific vaccines will appear. It is likely to be at the beginning of next year, but we cannot wait passively. We must be prepared for mass vaccinations – stated Gowin.

The culmination of President Duda's meeting with Jarosław Gowin and MPs from Porozumienie was securing a clear declaration from the former Deputy Prime Minister that he is not participating, nor does he intend to participate, in forming a new parliamentary majority, nor is he seeking the position of Speaker of the Sejm from such a majority – we hear from participants in the meeting at the Palace. According to our sources, Jarosław Gowin reportedly asked the President to engage in de-escalating tensions within the camp and declared, as he confirmed publicly today, that there is no alternative to the majority formed by United Right in this Sejm. He also reportedly spoke highly of the shared achievements of the 5-year government – we hear. As we understand it, the meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, with both Gowin and the President reportedly assuring each other of mutual affection and loyalty. At a morning briefing in the Sejm, organized to present the "Secure State" package, Gowin was asked about the situation in United Right following Ryszard Terlecki's statements: "- I will not comment on those statements [. It is important that there is the best possible atmosphere in United Right. I believe that the government of United Right is the best possible solution in this parliament. I would appeal to all members of our camp to avoid words that introduce unnecessary tension.”

The final details regarding sanitary rules associated with the lifting of restrictions in the second stage are currently being established. Tomorrow, Prime Minister Morawiecki will present the date and scope of the next stage.

The appeal of the Polish Episcopate for the ruling camp and the opposition to work out a common position regarding the election date is a confirmation of the correctness of the actions of myself and Porozumienie – Jarosław Gowin stated.

In his post on Twitter, the Deputy Prime Minister wrote that the bishops are taking care of the common good of the Republic of Poland.

"The appeal of the Polish Episcopate for the ruling camp and the opposition to work out a common position regarding the election date is a confirmation of the correctness of the actions of myself and Porozumienie," Gowin wrote. He added that he was glad that the bishops were taking care of the common good of the Republic of Poland.

Earlier, the Polish Episcopate appealed to the ruling and opposition parties to develop a common position on the date of the presidential elections. In their statement, they noted that the current situation in Poland is a cause for concern.

“We appeal to all politicians, representatives of the ruling camp and the opposition, to develop a common position on the date of the presidential elections, which will be held in the coming weeks. We hope that the decisions made will serve the good of the Republic of Poland and the nation," the bishops wrote in their appeal.

They also emphasized that the current situation in Poland is a cause for concern and that it is necessary to act with prudence and responsibility. “The current situation in Poland, marked by the ongoing epidemic, also gives cause for concern regarding the upcoming presidential elections. The date of the elections, the conditions for their conduct, the possibility of participation for all citizens, and the protection of their health – these are issues that require prudence and responsibility from all politicians," the Episcopate stressed.

Each of these sectors can develop standards and procedures so that these companies can operate normally, ensuring safety for both employees and customers. How is it possible that every hairdresser in Western Europe, from France to Spain, knows what to do to prepare for returning to work, but our hairdressers don't? They don't know how to prepare their businesses, what is expected of them. This time before unfreezing the economy is a crucial period for developing safe standards in dialogue with the government. This is not happening, and we are losing time. The government says we will unfreeze the Polish economy, that it will happen in the first, second, and third stages. However, these companies and these entrepreneurs don't know how to prepare for it. No one is talking to them, no one is discussing these issues. They have experience, they observe what is happening in other European countries, and they are capable of doing it. We need to trust entrepreneurs because we must bravely move towards unfreezing the economy. At today's meeting, a very wise sentence was spoken, which I will read: we should proceed with unfreezing the economy as quickly as possible and as slowly as necessary. Cooperation is needed between the government, doctors who understand pandemics, and entrepreneurs. Only then will we establish a good roadmap for exiting and unfreezing the economy. This is not happening because the government is not talking. I appeal to the Prime Minister once again: Mr. Prime Minister, please stop fearing people. We need to talk about these small matters, as they build the perspective of our country. Furthermore, we must prepare for a potential increase in infections in the autumn. Are we ready for this? Minister Szumowski says the worst is yet to come. We cannot shut down our economy a second time. We need further plans, and these plans need to be discussed - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at a briefing in the Sejm.

- For now, we don't know when the elections will be held, nor under what conditions, because in reality, there's no law regulating them yet; it's still in the Senate and hasn't been passed. We don't know the election date, and the only certainty is that I am running in elections that will be held at a safe time for Poles and conducted by the National Electoral Commission (PKW). We'll see what happens on May 7th, because I believe the opposition will lead to a change in the election date and their proper conduct, which is why I will participate in debates and explain why these elections cannot take place in May - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at a briefing in the Sejm.

- If the elections were to be held on May 10th and in the format proposed by PiS, a pseudo postal service, I would not participate in such elections. But since everyone knows I am an optimist, let's wait for May 7th - the Civic Coalition's presidential candidate continued.

"The rules [of the election] do not depend on the candidates, but I, as a candidate, will not concede Poland without a fight. I will fight and I will restore hope, because that is my task - to defend Poland, and in many places, to restore normality. I will fight to the very end, until victory, until defeating Andrzej Duda. I am determined and I know that we will win this fight" - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Polish Coalition candidate for president and the leader of the Polish People's Party, at a press conference in the Sejm.

"I will do everything to change the election date, because the May date is impossible to prepare the electoral process fairly" - he added.  

I respect Donald Tusk, as the last 30 years haven't produced many politicians of his caliber. His international standing warrants that he continue to serve the Republic of Poland through his contacts while working abroad. Having listened to his statement today regarding the elections, I have the impression that he sees things unclearly from a distance, employing tools from a world that no longer exists. A world that coronavirus has demolished for us, and which Jarosław Kaczyński is now brazenly trying to steal amidst the chaos. Tusk attributes an ethical Nelson to his listeners. Whoever decides to participate in the May elections, should this madness actually occur, is indecent. If, in Tusk's opinion, declaring that in confrontation with a cheat who breaks all rules, one will engage in an unequal fight to save someone deeply loved, Poland, from systemic bandits, is indecent, then it means one of us defines decency more broadly. I have stated many times and will repeat: if the cheats get their way and on May 7th it turns out they've managed to hold the May elections, then we will indeed face dramatic dilemmas. Is it worth risking life, and can chasing away the cheats and reclaiming Poland from their hands, where one must risk their life to elect a president, truly result from this risk? That is what we will be deciding next week. I don't understand those who are doing it today, because today our main goal is not to talk about our own virtues and defeatist declarations, but to ensure by all possible methods that these May elections do not take place. This must be done through mobilization for the fight, through civil and legal actions. I myself have undertaken a number of these: a civil lawsuit, a complaint to the Supreme Court, the 'Free the Elections' civic campaign, and political negotiations. We must be on the offensive, not on the defensive, which is what the opponent counts on. He won't care for a moment about the mandate of a president elected in such a farce, who will dare to laugh in our faces when it turns out that the fools from PiS weren't quick enough with the falsification and the opposition candidate was just 2% short of the second round - stated Szymon Hołownia in a recording published on Facebook. - I have said and will say again: I will not persuade anyone to vote in fraudulent, dangerous elections. However, I myself admit that in a week's time, if the worst-case scenario comes to pass, I will make a different decision than Tusk. Because even if it costs me my health, I do not intend to let these thieves off the hook. And secondly, I believe that if the May elections were to take place, the president elected in them would have one task. To bring about a change in the law, then resign and win again in a fair race. Otherwise - whoever it may be - they will not be president for Poles. One must go through this cesspool, getting dirty in it if necessary. If one wants to pull out the plug that is on the other side. Calling for a boycott now is water on Kaczyński's mill, and believing that he would buckle under the pressure of such a boycott is pure naivety. A boycott could work if nobody went to the polls, but voters of at least one candidate will go. Besides, Donald Tusk isn't speaking into the void, but in a situation where Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Robert Biedroń have already announced they won't boycott. So the described situation won't happen anyway. It's not my business, but I suspect this week will also cost the Civic Platform dearly, being a week too early. There will be an even deeper demobilization of Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska's electorate, who shortly after Tusk declared she would not participate in them in May. What does Kaczyński gain from this? Elections in August or September de facto without the PO candidate. Will I cry about it? Probably not. I just want to show that one of the scenarios that could result from Tusk's appeal today, and no one can rule out that it is one of the possibilities, shows how strong a peculiar self-destruction gene is within a part of the Polish opposition towards PiS. Confronting PiS in such a way that it doesn't weaken but strengthens the opponent. It is obvious that this government is like the communists, who in 1989 also wouldn't back down from anything. We won because we showed that we wouldn't back down either. Decency has different faces today, Mr. Donald. And I repeat: the game may be rigged from start to finish. However, it is not indecent to fight with a cheat for someone you love. You have sounded the retreat for your troops a whole week too early. I will tell mine: believe that there are more of us. Many more. As soon as we want to, we will overshadow PiS and its cheats. We will regain Poland, we will rebuild it better - the presidential candidate emphasized.

- I would like to say clearly and unequivocally. To Kaczyński, Duda, and Morawiecki. You will not steal these elections from us. You will not steal democracy from us. You will not steal Poland from us. We will not be fooled by your tricks with boycotting the elections. We will not be fooled by demobilizing our electorate. It is not for nothing that Poles have taken to the streets in recent years in defense of democracy, the constitution, against this president, it is not for nothing that we have dreamt in recent years that a president could act and function differently than the current one, it is not for nothing that we have hoped in recent years that change is possible, only to give up now, at the final stretch. Some are already waving the white flag. There are those who, somewhere in Brussels, seem to have lost touch with reality. There are those who, being far away, have given up, no longer care about democracy, about Poland, about all that is very important to us. We are not giving up. Poland has not yet perished, as long as we are alive – said Robert Biedroń during a press conference.

- "Kaczyński in his madness will conduct these elections, but we must gather evidence of this government's wickedness. That is why today I will send a letter to the OSCE, to the Secretary General of the OSCE and the Director of the ODIHR, here in Warsaw, requesting the deployment of international observers for these elections. I am sending the same letter to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe and the Secretary of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe" - stated Robert Biedroń during a press conference.

- I would like to propose the formula for a Movement for Election Control. The Movement for Election Control is an institution we must establish, a social one, comprised of representatives from all pro-democratic and constitutional political parties, so that we can create a network for monitoring the election process. Our representatives from all pro-democratic parties, our committees, non-governmental organizations, and before the elections, let's create such an organism that will watch the authorities' hands on election day - said Robert Biedroń during a press conference.

- I don't want to be nasty to those who sat down at the table with Gowin. We consistently said that Gowin was Kaczyński's envoy, and it has been confirmed. What has this opposition gained with Gowin? Gowin had no chance of becoming the Marshal because Marshal Witek blocked and is capable of blocking these Sejm sessions in such a way as to prevent a change of Marshal. That is exactly what she did. This is precisely what we warned about. This is precisely what we warned you about, dear Borys Budko, dear Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
