Dworczyk:

Decision Made Overnight to Postpone Smolensk Visit

"A decision was made overnight to postpone the visit, which was scheduled for April 10, 2020, to Smolensk. The Prime Minister, along with a government delegation and parliamentary representatives, was to pay tribute to the murdered officers in Katyn and the victims of the plane crash in Smolensk. We have been in dialogue with our partners from the Russian Federation on this matter since the beginning of February. By midnight today, despite declared consent for such a visit, representatives of the Russian Federation had not provided a clear, written response to the logistical assumptions presented for this government delegation's visit. These actions would de facto make it impossible to carry out this visit in accordance with the prevailing security procedures and the procedures applied by Polish services" – said the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Minister Michał Dworczyk, in an interview with Michał Rachoń on "Jedziemy" on TVP Info.
