The official inauguration of President Andrzej Duda's election campaign will take place this Saturday, February 15th, during a convention at Warsaw's Expo hall - confirmed Krzysztof Sobolewski in an interview with Onet, adding that the convention is intended to have a distinctly American character.

The chairman of PiS's Executive Committee also confirmed that a meeting of the PiS Political Council has been convened for 11:00 AM, which is to formally designate Andrzej Duda as the ruling party's official presidential candidate.

On Thursday at 10:00 PM, the Sejm will consider the opposition's motion of no confidence in Minister Mariusz Kamiński. A debate is scheduled to take place, according to the plan, at 11:30 PM. The fact is that a legal and political dispute is ongoing in Poland, but the resolution of the former belongs to Polish courts and tribunals, and the latter to Polish politicians. The system of the judiciary is an area not covered by EU law, and the involvement of the EP and the EC in these matters violates the fundamental principles of the treaties in the Union. It is also worth noting that the introduced reforms are modeled on solutions already functioning and never questioned by EU bodies in other member states.
