My Term is Ending. I'm Not Giving Up
My term is ending. Generally, I'm not giving up. I'm not giving up. It's my decision [not to run]. I made the decision; I took over Platforma four years ago at the most difficult moment, when it had lost the elections to the Sejm and the Senate. In a difficult, very difficult situation. From that 9, 10, 11%, I managed to raise it to 27.5%, win the Senate elections through partnership and opposition cooperation, build Civic Coalition, and I believe that a new stage is now coming. After the last elections, there was an atmosphere that change was needed, new energy, new people, youth, a generational shift. If I were to hinder this, if it could somehow stop Platforma's move to the offensive, to a new stage, then I say: I can step aside. I don't have to do anything; I am a fulfilled politician and I've done a few things in my life. I'm not leaving Platforma, but if there are six excellent candidates... - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Grzegorz Kajdanowicz on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".
