As 300POLITYKA has learned, Civic Coalition's candidate for Prime Minister, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, is heading to Brussels. According to our sources, today's agenda includes a meeting with former Prime Minister and current President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, with whom she closely collaborated in the past as government spokesperson.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will be visiting the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. At **1:30 PM**, the head of the Polish government will participate in a conference concerning the expansion of Szczecin-Goleniów Airport, and at **3:30 PM**, he will attend a briefing on the implementation of the S6 and S11 express road sections in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Today and tomorrow, Congress 590 will be held in Jasionka near Rzeszów. President Andrzej Duda has once again granted his patronage and will appear alongside Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Organizers have planned nine workshops, intended as a practical supplement to the discussions and debates taking place within the thematic blocks.

During an hour-long session, teams of 30-50 people will consider solutions to specific administrative and business problems (case studies). The developed solutions will be submitted as proposals and postulates to the relevant public administration bodies. President Andrzej Duda will participate in the congress at **12:30 PM**, tour the stands of SMEs and start-ups at **2:30 PM**, and attend the Presidential Economic Award gala at **8:00 PM**.

At **11:30 AM**, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Committee for Public Benefit, Piotr Gliński, will establish the Council for Dialogue with the Young Generation. Jarosław Kaczyński announced in Krosno that today, "perhaps together with the Prime Minister," he will discuss proposals for very small businesses. "We want Poland to be a country of enterprising people, for the energy of Poles to be truly unleashed," emphasized the PiS leader.

„Indeed, an incredible sacrifice and incredible sanctions, if this resignation was forced. The parliamentary club leader [Neumann] ceases to be so a week before the elections. The new Sejm will elect new authorities, which means [the resignation is] no politically significant decision. Sławomir Neumann remains the head of PO structures in Pomerania, Pomerania, whose inhabitants he insulted in such a brutal, vulgar, and boorish manner” - said PiS MEP Joachim Brudziński on Radio Jedynka.

"Replacing Neumann with Wałęsa, one could say to Grzegorz Schetyna that he exchanged a small axe for a big stick. This stick, or rather a baseball bat, in the case of the tirade – because I don't want to call it gibberish – that Wałęsa spouted, hit Schetyna right between the eyes. The fact that they, I mean the top brass of PO, applauded Wałęsa, doesn't surprise me at all. This is a company that, for the sake of total war with PiS, is ready to resort to any profanity and rudeness," said PiS MEP Joachim Brudziński on Jedynka radio.

"Those applause and that laughter that erupted after Wałęsa's speech are entering the history of Polish shame. The politicians of Civic Platform will unfortunately have to live with this shame. The entire establishment of the Third Polish Republic did everything it could to ensure that people like Kornel Morawiecki, Anna Walentynowicz, and Jan Olszewski were forgotten. Just as the communists secretly buried the bodies of the 'cursed soldiers' amidst rubble and garbage, so too they wanted to do with the true heroes of our freedom and sovereignty" - said PiS MEP Joachim Brudziński on Radio Jedynka.

“If you were to read the broader context of Wałęsa’s statement, the thought was that you allowed Wałęsa to be made an agent, and Kornel Morawiecki a symbol of the people who led to freedom in Poland, to the Round Table. He [Wałęsa] undoubtedly feels regret that at the moment when he needed support, during martial law, Kornel Morawiecki did not offer that support, only undertook individual actions” – said Sławomir Nitras from Civic Platform in a conversation with Dominika Wielowieyska on Radio TOK FM’s Poranek.

“The fact that practically every local official from Civic Platform faces charges, or that smear campaigns are being concocted against them, that police are following us, that we are being monitored even by the Central Anticorruption Bureau. These are facts. It is also a fact that many people do not trust this prosecution service and these agencies,” said Sławomir Nitras from Civic Platform in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on TOK FM Radio’s Morning broadcast.

- Frankly speaking, at a certain point during Lech Wałęsa's speech, I felt that, firstly, something was wrong, and secondly, that it would cause nothing but trouble. However, people reacted. I think Grzegorz Schetyna clearly stated how he envisions the role of Kornel Morawiecki. He wrote it several times and said it, and there are no doubts regarding his stance on this matter. I was sitting next to Bogdan Borusewicz, who also refrained from applauding. He whispered to me what he thought about it, and then he said it publicly. I privately attended the funeral the day before. I knew Kornel Morawiecki beforehand. I think there is no reason, no moral right, to attribute Lech Wałęsa's assessment, with which I don't know anyone who agrees, to everyone who was in the room – stated Paweł Kowal in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

„We are aware that we are often unfairly judged or provoked by the Polish state, but we still strive to maintain the highest standards within the Civic Platform. I can give many examples of when this applies,” said Sławomir Nitras from Civic Platform in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on Radio TOK FM's Morning Show.

Perhaps I should have asked you and others who were more foresightful here and designed this convention differently, but we have to come to terms with the fact that sometimes Lech Wałęsa's views are difficult to accept. However, it's not as though there's nothing to refer to then, because one can refer to what Borusewicz thinks, what Sonik wrote, what Grzegorz Schetyna has written several times in recent days, meaning people who knew Kornel Morawiecki well and can assess it - stated Paweł Kowal in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation".

- What Lech Wałęsa did was simply shameful. On the other hand, looking at the hall, the hall applauded, clapped for Lech Wałęsa after his speech, which is completely incomprehensible to me and indicates one thing: that in their dislike for PiS, some PO politicians have completely lost touch with reality - said Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- The very fact that Marshal Kidawa-Błońska is going to meet with the outgoing President of Europe, Donald Tusk, is further proof that the Civic Platform has nothing concrete to offer Poles - said Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- Yesterday I made the decision [to resign from heading the Civic Coalition parliamentary club]. Yes [myself, personally]. I had to... There isn't enough time to explain all these things that are being taken somewhat out of context and are clearly harming normal communication. So, it had to be cut short. These were words spoken in emotion at a private meeting of our party's activists, somewhat describing their situation. - I was in Tczew on Saturday and I am going to Tczew. I have many friends and acquaintances there. In Tczew, everyone knows what that conversation was about. I spoke about the situation in the Tczew Civic Platform. But we resolved it, because today the Civic Platform in Tczew no longer has those people in its ranks - stated Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

I do not consider him [Kornel Morawiecki] a traitor. Lech Wałęsa has a different interpretation of the 1980s history. - It was a hate-filled show aimed at PiS leader, Jarosław Kaczyński. Prime Minister Kaczyński's name was mentioned in essentially every second sentence. "This is the last week of the campaign. These are elections that will decide many matters, including local and regional ones, as well as those connected with such a historic company as the Szczecin Shipyard" - said PO (Civic Platform) leader Grzegorz Schetyna in Szczecin.

"Incompetents are protected by a political umbrella, and this is happening nationwide, but here, in Szczecin, I see this political influence and an attempt to define ownership by one of Szczecin's politicians" - he added.

"I believe that the past week will decide many matters, many things. The emotions of the past week will shape the election outcome. Lech Wałęsa – we all know him. He is not a member of PO or KO, after all. His statement yesterday… We share a common view on what Poland should look like in the future; we care about its freedom and agency. However, we also have different assessments of history. I have told him this many times. The words he used yesterday were, in my opinion, unnecessary" – said the PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna in Szczecin.

„[Sławomir Neumann] resigned from the position of parliamentary club leader, and this matter closes the issue until the end of the term. I believe this is standard. I would wish that PiS politicians involved in scandals would resign, rather than take unpaid leave, like Mr. Banaś. We will have a Sejm session and a club and National Board meeting next Tuesday. I will recommend Member of Parliament Tomasz Siemoniak for this position of club leader” - said PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna in Szczecin.

„The speech [by Lech Wałęsa] lasted about ten minutes. The segment concerning Fighting Solidarity and its leader was literally a few sentences. Those applause... The reception of President Lech Wałęsa's speech was reserved compared to other reactions in the hall at the KO convention. I was in Fighting Solidarity, I collaborated with Kornel Morawiecki for years, which is why I said that I disagree with this statement and stand in solidarity with all those who, dedicating their lives, time, and often health, were involved in the anti-communist conspiracy movement” – said PO chairman Grzegorz Schetyna in Szczecin.

I implore you, don't drag Lewica into your ineptitude, because it makes no sense - he continued. - I won't constantly engage in skirmishes, assurances to Grzegorz Schetyna that I will cooperate or not cooperate with PiS. My friends and I are not fighting for opposition leadership. I am fighting PiS. So I won't keep responding to Grzegorz Schetyna. Grzegorz, deal with PiS. Zbigniew Ziobro, Donald Tusk, Robert Biedroń, and Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska were ranked in the following positions. The study was conducted by the Indicator Marketing Research Centre using the CAWI method between October 2nd and 4th on a representative sample of 1011 adult residents of Poland (internet users).

We wanted to announce something that relates to the value we brought to Polish public life and which we wish to maintain. That value is credibility. Before the previous elections, we promised to implement a certain program, and that program was implemented. And back then, we also spoke about what we would do within the first 100 days. And today, we are repeating that. Within the first 100 days, either legislation will be passed, or where the issue cannot be regulated by law, appropriate action plans, government programs, will be enacted. This concerns the so-called 'small ZUS' [social security contributions for small businesses]. The Prime Minister will speak on this subject further, but it is a significant relief for small entrepreneurs. It also ensures the continuation of the 13th and 14th pensions, with the 13th pension being maintained in 2020, and in 2021, there will also be a 14th pension. This also includes a health screening package for all individuals over 40 years of age. It's about a package of diagnostic tests aimed at the early detection of serious diseases. It's a program to build 100 bypasses around medium-sized and smaller cities. It is to be precisely detailed within these 100 days and undertaken, and finally, a plan to achieve equal subsidies for Polish farmers. We have spoken about this many times. This will be operationalized in some way through various variants relating to the future EU budget – stated the leader of PiS, Jarosław Kaczyński, during a joint statement with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“Because doubts have been voiced from many quarters as to whether we will indeed propose a hundred bypass roads. I want to say with full responsibility: If voters choose us, we will present a plan for at least 100 specific bypass roads, along with a funding program. This is a multi-billion program” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“We do not want a Europe of double standards. We want a Europe of high standards. A Europe of high standards is a Europe that treats Polish farmers, the Polish countryside, on equal footing with localities in France or Germany. At the same time, it shows how in the coming days, in this specific case within one hundred days, immediately after the elections, we want to bring about the adoption of appropriate laws or appropriate programs - said Mateusz Morawiecki during a joint statement with PiS leader, Jarosław Kaczyński.

„What we promised, we delivered. Now, we also want to forge a pact with citizens. After all, elections in a democracy are a renewal of the social contract. Every 4 years, together with society, we want to renew this contract, to show what we have already done, but also what our plans are, what the vision for Poland's development is for the next 4, 8, 12 years, so that Poland becomes a welfare state, so that the Polish model of a welfare state serves all citizens” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

- In cases where these incomes are sufficiently lower, the average benefit for a small entrepreneur will be PLN 500. On average per month, meaning including businesses with an income of PLN 5500 per month, as well as those with only PLN 2500 or PLN 3000 - said Mateusz Morawiecki during a joint statement with PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński.

The second point concerns a health check, one might say, for people who have turned 40. I apologize for the comparison, but each of us who owns a car is obliged to have a technical inspection, and this inspection takes place every year. How much more important is our health, the health of citizens. Through appropriate regulations, we will ensure a health check for all citizens who have turned 40 years of age - said Mateusz Morawiecki during a joint statement with PiS chairman, Jarosław Kaczyński.

We want our agriculture to be enabled to develop to an even greater extent. We want to be an even greater exporter of food, we want to be even more efficient, even more perfect in this regard. We want to develop all areas of our economy. Thanks to this, we want to become an increasingly wealthy country, and above all, a country of increasingly wealthy people. As I said at the beginning of my speech. This is our great ambition. I deeply believe that the entrepreneurs gathered here, from Poland and abroad, will allow us to achieve this task – said President Andrzej Duda during the Congress 590.

"My political views are known, but the stakes are higher than just views and parties. The stakes are whether our daily lives will be gloomy, dark, full of anger, and sometimes hatred, or whether they will be like Marshal Kidawa-Błońska's - normal, smiling, wise, and good" – said the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, during a joint press conference with Deputy Marshal Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska. During the transcription of the former prime minister's statement, an error crept in, which was immediately corrected after an internet user pointed it out.

"Those who have governed our country since 1989 have failed in many spheres. When it comes to investing in people, investments have too often been either misguided or neglected. Indicators and charts have ruled far too often" - said the leader of Wiosna, Robert Biedroń, at a press conference in Łódź.

"On October 13th, The Left will consistently pursue what we do best. After the era of building monuments, churches, and shooting ranges, The Left proposes a new era. I know what a torment the journey from Szczecin to Koszalin was, because I travelled it myself many times. Pawel Szefernaker and I often discuss how these areas, as the residents of these lands know perfectly well, were for many years disconnected communication-wise, and also effectively socially excluded. Here, at the beginning of the transformation process, the post-State Agricultural Farm (PGR) areas were forgotten, cities like Łobez, Świdwin, Płoty were forgotten, where the bankruptcy of a single workplace sometimes meant dramatic unemployment in these regions. I am so glad that beyond our economic actions, which have led to a much better job market situation, we are creating even better foundations for economic development and social optimism - said Mateusz Morawiecki during a briefing on the implementation of sections of the S6 and S11 expressways.

- During its Monday session, the National Electoral Commission (PKW) elected a new chairman. Supreme Court Judge Wiesław Kozielewicz has been appointed to this position - the PKW announced.

- I think the time for settling scores will come in a week. This is precisely the worst time for us to be settling any scores right now. Settling accounts happens after both wins and losses. This had no subtext here. However, I believe that today is still a time for fighting. Especially since I am absolutely convinced that the situation is ambiguous. I know there are many people who believe everything has been decided. We have new polls published practically every day, and they show us that the situation is undecided. Depending on whether Konfederacja gets in, or whether PSL and Kukiz'15 get in or not, the situation could be very different. I believe that as the opposition, we are capable of winning these elections – stated Joanna Mucha, when asked in Tomasz Lis's program if she was satisfied with her party's campaign.

A better convention, the final one, could probably have been organized. But as I said, the time for settling scores and summing up will come after the elections. Now we need to fight. I believe that it was not a good idea [for Lech Wałęsa to appear at the Civic Coalition convention]. I believe that inviting Lech Wałęsa to this convention was not the happiest decision, but it seems to me that today we have truly more important things to discuss than Wałęsa's words or other matters that appear in the public sphere.

- I believe that our government, the continuation of our rule, also means normality. Normality in many respects. Normality here, in the Słupsk region, in areas that are very often perceived as second-class regions, those that haven't had the same development opportunities as, for example, the Tricity. Due to social exclusion, post-state-owned farm areas, transport exclusion, investment, and business exclusion. These areas must get their chance, and that is precisely this normality. We guarantee that through our investment actions, by directing financial streams to subregions like the Słupsk subregion, these lands will have better development opportunities - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a meeting in Słupsk.

Normalcy is when every corner of Poland is treated equally. But equally means also appropriately in terms of development opportunities, and that's precisely why these tens of millions of zlotys, which weren't available a few years ago, are today in the form of a program for the Słupsk region. Development of Ustka, the port in Ustka, S6, road 21, but also through various sports and cultural programs, the program for the development of higher education - the Pomeranian Academy, through Via Pomerania or Via Hanseatica, because I hear about two names for S6, from Szczawin to Gdynia. These are our commitments to the Słupsk region, which – I am convinced – will attract new investors here, and this fresh breath of economic development, new social opportunities will certainly be a great star of hope, not just a spark, for the Słupsk region – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a meeting in Słupsk.

- The PiS government, above all, keeps its word, we always keep our word. That's our hallmark. Credibility. What we committed to, we have fulfilled with a surplus. - We haven't noticed any significant deactivation of women, because of course, women working is a normal thing. - I don't know if worse times will come. Better not to provoke evil. However, if they do come, we are prepared. Our anti-cyclical, pro-development, demand-based policy, but also one that supports entrepreneurs, is a policy that can lead to the effects of the crisis being either completely eliminated or very small - said Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

We firmly reject what the opposition apparently accepts, namely Poland as a source of cheap labor. Therefore, it will be much more profitable to modernize the Polish economy, invest in organizational development, and also technological development - said Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- Today I spoke with the commissioner in spe [Janusz Wojciechowski], to some extent already appointed, it's just a matter of confirmation as commissioner, so perhaps 'in spe' isn't even appropriate here. For 15 years, he was the Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture in the EU. It can be fixed within the framework of this Constitution. This Constitution will likely remain in force in Poland for a long time, perhaps many, many years. Because for now, there's rather no chance of a constitutional majority. It's enough to analyze our electoral law to see how large the advantage of forces wanting to change the Constitution would have to be to allow for its amendment. Our opponents do not want to change it. Therefore, the Constitution remains, and within its framework, although there are certain limitations, a great deal can still be done. Certain matters are simply not regulated there. - It's not that I can sit down opposite the government and say: you need to do this, this, and this. That's not how it works, actually. However, the continuation of the policy currently being pursued, but a better continuation, and at the same time, also an effective foreign policy, including policy within the European Union. Here, I am counting heavily on the Prime Minister, who is a man, well, perfectly suited to conducting this policy in the EU. He has very good relations with many European Union politicians, the most important ones. He talks to them several times a day. At the same time, he is someone who feels at home in that world that makes decisions there, I mean the world of Western Europe, and is treated, in a good sense for Poland, as one of them. This is one of his advantages. This is perhaps one of the first literary awards. It has been somewhat monopolized by a particular milieu; awards are given within one circle, although Jarosław Marek Rymkiewicz received it once, but I don't know how he felt about it then.
