At 9:00 AM in Warsaw, a press conference will be held with the leaders of The Left, inaugurating The Left's bus tour across Poland. The Civic Coalition's candidate for Prime Minister, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, has planned meetings with owners of small family businesses in Warsaw. At 12:15 PM, there will be a visit to the confectionery workshop "Zagoździński," followed by a press conference in front of the workshop at 12:40 PM. Subsequently, at 1:15 PM, a visit to the "Fryzjer na Wspólnej - Fryzjerstwo Męskie" (Barbershop on Wspólna - Men's Hairdressing) is scheduled, and at 1:40 PM – a visit to Jacek Kamiński's Shoemaking Workshop.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will be visiting the Lublin Voivodeship. At 10:00 AM, the head of the Polish government will participate in a Holy Mass for the victims of the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Frampol. At 11:00 AM, he will attend a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Frampol. „Today we are moving forward in a completely different configuration, with three political parties running, in a broad political bloc, a united left. It was necessary to take one step back to take three steps forward, and that's what we did. I believe this is the most sensible decision I could have made” – said Robert Biedroń, leader of Wiosna (Spring), in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

„[He will get] on the Lewicobus, and President [Kwaśniewski] will be with us, the most popular, valued president of the Third Polish Republic according to all polls. I am proud that Aleksander Kwaśniewski is on board with us. „We journeyed to Aleksander Kwaśniewski like the Three Kings and persuaded Aleksander Kwaśniewski” – he added.

There is no hidden agenda or second meaning [to continuing the Sejm session after the elections]. We are conducting an election campaign. Yesterday's voting turnout showed how many politicians were absent from the morning votes in the Sejm. At the moment, most politicians are in the field, meeting with people; it's election campaign season, and we will also conduct this campaign – stated Paweł Szefernaker in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- You have the printed program of Civic Platform, but nothing comes out of it. So you can print 200 pages that Poles don't know about. Even Civic Platform politicians don't know what's in it, and you expect us to follow the same path as Civic Platform. We presented our program a week ago, and a paper or online version will also be presented soon, during the election campaign. It will be presented soon in such a version - stated Paweł Szefernaker in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- Adam Szłapka, one of the most important figures in Civic Coalition, has spoken out in favor of same-sex couples adopting children. In my opinion, he said something honest, he acted honestly, he didn't bury his head in the sand. If we consider same-sex couples to be marriages, then by virtue of both the Polish Constitution and international law, they must have exactly the same privileges and rights as heterosexual marriages, including the adoption of children – stated Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on the program "Salon polityczny Trójki" (Trójka Political Salon).

“Regarding President Kwaśniewski, the president will join us on the route. This will be in about 8 cities. There will be meetings with the President in 8 locations. These cities are being determined today. The President has a very tight schedule, so we will provide this information in the coming days. We will be proud to host the President aboard the Lewicobus” - said Wiosna leader Robert Biedroń at a press conference. 

- There is hope that politics can look different, that issues which have so far been reluctantly raised by politicians, are now readily addressed by the Left. This bus, the Lewicobus, gives us wings. On these wings, which we have received from Polish women and men, from our voters, we will set out on a tour of 41 cities - said Robert Biedroń during a press conference.

“First, we need to get into the Sejm, and that is our most important matter. We won’t count our chickens before they hatch. Right now, we simply have to fight for every vote. We will certainly never cooperate with PiS under any circumstances, on any terms. This is not a slight against PiS’s electorate, against the people, but against the party’s leadership. We won’t work with a party that, in our opinion, has anti-democratic standards” – stated the leader of SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, at a press conference. 

“I think it is bad practice to announce a prime minister candidate a month or two before the elections. Currently, there is no democratic party in Poland that will have a majority in the Sejm on its own. Respecting our partners, if there is a situation where we can form a government and the democratic side will have a majority, we will sit down and discuss,” said SLD leader Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference. 

„Mr. Grzegorz Schetyna was already the leader of the opposition, and the opposition chose him as leader within the European Coalition. The opposition was in this coalition, but Robert Biedroń’s Wiosna was not. Judging by Mr. Grzegorz Schetyna’s leadership style, if he were to lead the Polish state as Prime Minister in the same way he led his party, I think even some members of his party would be dissatisfied. He probably resigned from this because he stepped away from the front line” - said SLD leader Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference. 

- The Left represents a truly welfare state, a state that is genuinely close to ordinary people's concerns. The Left is a secular state that understands the separation of church and state should be a standard in the 21st century. The Left is a state that guarantees freedom to its citizens, that does not interfere in personal life choices, that does not pry into people's private lives. I deeply believe that such a state will be what we build step by step, starting this autumn, because the Left is going to parliament and the Left is aiming for power to remove those who rule us today, but also to look boldly towards the future, as there is no point in returning to the past - said Adrian Zandberg during a press conference.

The matter [of abolishing the 30-fold cap on ZUS contributions] will be debated by the next Sejm, and also by the next government, because after the elections the government will change, regardless of who wins - Jarosław Gowin stated in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on 'Trójka's Political Salon'. When asked if he would convince the leaders of PiS and Prime Minister Morawiecki to abandon this idea, the Deputy Prime Minister replied: - These discussions are ongoing. I am an optimist. I believe we will abandon this solution. It would be stifling for development.

***** - Mateusz has long used the same phrase at most staff meetings: “We need to intentionally push Poland towards a high-wage economy, advanced structures, and significantly expand the middle class” - recites one politician to us from memory, who regularly participates in working meetings with the Prime Minister. We meet with one of the people from the government's inner circle. On her desk is a still "hot" report from the Polish Economic Institute titled "The Middle Class in Poland. Does the Polish self-made man exist?". Apparently, this report is key to understanding the electoral proposals announced by PiS leaders in Lublin. - That's up to 12 million people. Among those aged 24-64, 54% of Poles belong to the middle class. For comparison: 30% of citizens belong to the lower class and 16% to the upper class. ***** In the European elections, 6.2 million Poles voted for PiS. Donald Tusk's Civic Platform, after 4 years in power, received 5.6 million votes in 2011. The entire European Coalition - from PO to SLD and PSL - received 5.2 million votes in the last European elections. ***** Our interlocutor flips through the report on the middle class and quotes a key sentence: - Members of the lower and middle classes are determined to earn more. The report indicates a high level of income aspirations among members of the lower class and a slightly lower level of aspirations among members of the middle class. The amount that would allow for the free satisfaction of family needs is approximately PLN 6,600 net per month, which is PLN 1,900 more than the average total income of families in this category. According to PIE research, 55% of middle-class representatives are convinced of the need for a more active state policy in employment matters. ***** - The Prime Minister repeatedly quotes productivity data to us, which shows that we are currently second in the European Union in terms of labor productivity growth. Export data indicates that we are breaking away from the "flattening" German economy, and foreign trade is growing faster than the global index - this provides some security in thinking about the future - says one of the Prime Minister's associates in the context of the promises made by PiS. ***** - Where are you? At the harvest festival? And so - exactly one month after the presidential elections were decided, perhaps the most intense election campaign we have seen began. Throughout the summer of 2015, both prime ministerial candidates traversed Poland far and wide. Ewa Kopacz moved government meetings, sometimes to Silesia, sometimes to Wrocław, Łódź, even Białystok. The Szydłobus had several, sometimes a dozen, stops a day. The intensive campaign lasted almost every day until the elections. The scale of that campaign, which was then ridiculed in Civic Platform for its populist elements, is today likely unattainable for the opposition in any respect. Schetyna's Civic Coalition campaign is a shadow of Kopacz's Civic Platform campaign. ***** - The 2019 elections are the most important since the memorable year of 1989. Back then, Poles clearly rejected communism and chose sovereignty, democracy, a Western course, and a chance for a better life. Now the stakes of the elections are even higher - Grzegorz Schetyna at a convention in Szczecin in April. ***** Objectively, it's hard for a ruling party to have a worse campaign start than PiS had in August. Long, shameful summer days. The multi-day decline of the Sejm Marshal, further reports of flights taken by other politicians from the ruling camp. After a moment of respite with a military parade in Silesia, the trolling of judges instigated by the Deputy Minister of Justice erupted, leading to another crisis for the ruling party. It may turn out that if, in some scenario - currently largely unexpected - PiS does not regain an independent majority in October, the reasons for this will have to be sought in the politically disastrous August for the ruling party. Although, apart from Kantar MB's prestigious poll for TVN, the survey showing a collapse in PiS's ratings and a slight rise for KO remains a so-called "outlier," meaning an observation that is "deviant" and relatively distant from others. Apart from the GW reports about an equally unfavorable secret internal poll for PiS, which has been denied by all instances at Nowogrodzka Street, these are the only surveys showing even a temporary weakening of PiS. ***** “One nation conservatism” is a model of social conservatism from the 19th-century British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, who defined the Tory model of solidarity, leveling the class divisions characteristic of the society of that time. Active suffrage was expanded, and reforms were introduced to improve the living standards of social strata previously invisible to state policy. And it is likely in the philosophy of “one nation”, later rejected in the Thatcher era and today serving as an anchor for the new conservative party since Cameron and his "Big Society," that the direction in which PiS is increasingly finding itself should be sought. Forcing employers to pay higher wages, but - as young specialists from Morawiecki's circle emphasize - accompanied by increased productivity, is an economically risky but politically equally attractive path. If PiS, by improving the aesthetics of governance and maintaining a European course that limits collisions with Brussels, can safely ensure the economic advancement of the new middle class, which the Polish Economic Institute estimates at up to 12 million voters, then PiS can seriously think about a decade in power. Something comparable to Helmut Kohl's political era in Germany, whose dominance for many years was not harmed by minor and major "scandals" related to the expansion of the sphere of power in a way that was then unprecedented.

We are all victims of the ongoing political conflict in Poland. We've had enough. Poles have had enough. The Civic Coalition is focusing on cooperation. We want to encourage Poles to work together, to jointly implement our program. So that Poland can be different, to offer an alternative to PiS. "I wanted to thank Mayor Zdanowska for her support for our colleague Tomasz Trela. It was kind, wise, and rare in Polish politics, but fortunately not so rare in local government. The Local Government Act is one of the best laws introduced in Poland after the transformation," said SLD leader Włodzimierz Czarzasty in Łódź.

A meeting with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is currently underway in Biłgoraj. As organizers tell us, around 250 people attended the head of government's speech in the middle of the day. Another meeting will take place at 4:30 PM in Świdnik.

“Centralized state management, dictating to all local governments from Warsaw, is unreasonable. Local governments should develop in such a way that all tasks delegated from the center should be accompanied by financial resources” – stated the leader of SLD, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, in Łódź.

„We will be consistent. Anyone who raised their hand against Polish democracy will pay the price. The Left will not be afraid to bring those responsible for such decisions before the State Tribunal, because the State Tribunal must finally start functioning. Until now, leniency towards politicians and people in clerical collars who harmed children has been too great. We will change this, because the Left has the courage for this change” - said Robert Biedroń, leader of Wiosna, in Łódź.

Jarosław Gowin, the leader of Poland Together and Deputy Prime Minister, has denied any rifts within the government regarding economic policy. He emphasized that the proposed increase in the minimum wage is a shared initiative of the entire United Right coalition.

"There is no split in the government. The increase in the minimum wage is a common program of the United Right," stated Gowin on his Twitter account.

He further clarified that there are no plans to raise social security contributions (ZUS) for businesses. On the contrary, he announced a reduction in ZUS for small businesses.

"However, there was no, is not, and will not be an increase in ZUS for businesses. Small businesses will have lower ZUS," Gowin added.

This statement comes amidst ongoing discussions about economic reforms and the government's plans to stimulate the economy and support businesses.

Jadwiga Emilewicz commented on Twitter regarding media information published by Money.pl. According to the portal, Emilewicz and Jarosław Gowin threatened to resign if the project abolishing the 30-fold limit on ZUS contributions were to pass.

Of course, we want people to earn more. It's obvious. Our entire program is designed to make work pay, to support those who earn the least, to make work pay, so they want to continue working. And this is our proposal. If you look closely at our proposal, then from January 1st of next year, people in Poland will be able to earn more. We are not promising that it will happen in a year or two, but we are saying that from January 1st, the lowest earner will receive over 600 PLN more in support - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at a press briefing.

- I am not afraid of debates or conversations with people. Similarly, I am not afraid of conversations with politicians. If such debates take place, I will certainly participate, but I understand that all candidates, all leaders from Warsaw, will then be involved - stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska at a press briefing.

Łódź is the next stop on today's route of the Lewicobus, carrying the leaders of The Left: Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Adrian Zandberg, and Robert Biedroń.

- I spoke with Janusz Zemke. I don't know this myself, but Zemke knows it very well. These planes [F-35] are attack aircraft, and the Left, neither Zandberg, nor Biedroń, nor Czarzasty, will attack anyone, any of our neighbors - Włodzimierz Czarzasty said in Łódź. - According to Zemke, these planes cost 10 billion for purchase, plus or minus. 10 billion or more for armament. The entire support, infrastructure another 10. It should be around 40. If it's around 40 billion, because it will be spread out, that's 1/10 of the Polish budget. I'd rather build nurseries and kindergartens for that. I'd rather design social matters. The entire cost of our program is 60 billion - added the SLD leader. - We're adding a new, huge airport to this. We also don't see much sense in building a huge airport. I recently listened to someone from PiS who said this airport will cost around 200 billion. That's some kind of absurdity - Czarzasty stated.

– As you know, Platforma presents various programs. But when it comes to implementing these programs, everything ends up in disarray. This is a symbol of the Civic Platform's governance. It was this party that chose a company to carry out what is perhaps one of the largest municipal investments in history, worth almost 4 billion. A company that collapsed shortly thereafter and, of course, there is no one to claim funds from today. For everything you see here, the residents of Warsaw will pay. Once again: for incompetence, lack of skill, and we don't even know today how much it will be, but it will certainly be a substantial amount – said Patryk Jaki at a press conference with Sebastian Kaleta in Warsaw, near the site where sewage is being discharged into the Vistula River.

– Bad decisions, lack of oversight, but of course, there is always time for everything, for LGBT and other trips around the world. Does this situation remind you of anything? Because it reminds me of the reprivatization scandal. Exactly the same. Lack of time for supervision, fatal decisions, but of course, everyone is smiling and there's time for trips around the world. Therefore, let's not have any illusions. Platforma, as it governs here, would govern throughout Poland, and this is an important warning for everyone not to vote for this very party, which has time for everything. For marches, LGBT, ideology, the LGBT+ card, but to oversee infrastructure, which is the fundamental task of local government, there is obviously no time for such things – he continued.

– It is very good that we have councilors, here at the ministerial level, like Sebastian Kaleta, who can oversee all of this, because otherwise, the government from Platforma would continue to be pleased with themselves. Do you remember how many conferences there were during the local government campaign? What was there, 5 metro lines, 100% smog subsidies, subsidies for extracurricular activities, renovation of the Skra stadium, the city bypass, etc., etc. The campaign ended, all these ideas were torn up and gone. And they are no more – Jaki emphasized.

- Today we must ask ourselves: if not for the United Right government, what would President Trzaskowski do today? The situation will be somewhat salvaged today, but all Warsaw residents will still pay for the Platform's incompetence, because we don't yet know exactly how much this renovation will cost, but we can expect it to be truly substantial funds. And once again, I want to emphasize: I am glad there are people like Minister Kaleta who take their duties seriously, unlike PO and President Trzaskowski - said Patryk Jaki at a press conference with Sebastian Kaleta in Warsaw, near the site of sewage discharge into the Vistula River.

"There are many municipalities for which new roads mean new opportunities, a new beginning. Sections of new, renovated roads create entirely new development possibilities. This is precisely what the Local Roads Fund is intended to serve," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing in Tomaszewicze, Lublin Voivodeship.  "I am glad that we managed to construct a 6-billion fund. On average, annually, our political opponents were able to allocate approximately 600 million, that is, 10 times less," he added.

We are acquiring about PLN 100 million, but per day [from tax loophole closures]. That's the difference, at least that much, and the European Commission confirms this. The European Commission, which unfortunately still favors - I don't know why - our predecessors, but I think it is slowly coming around to us too. Because Poles were robbed in broad daylight of this money, and only the PiS government sorted it out - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Biłgoraj.

- The Left in Parliament will speak loudly about what many parties in Poland lack the courage to address. About climate change and the need to prepare for it. Here in this region, where the economic consequences of climate change can already be seen, and will be even greater, they can already be seen - said Adrian Zandberg during a press conference in Sieradz.

"Just read everything they [the opposition] say backwards. Then it will be true. They say democracy is under threat. That means democracy is flourishing, because democracy flourishes when people have the right to participate in real democracy, when they don't have to worry so much just from payday to payday. When they say we aren't building local roads, it means we are building the most – in districts, in municipalities – and that is the truth. So read backwards. What they say and their media, their newspapers, of which unfortunately there is a majority, because that's how the Third Republic looked," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Świdnik.

"Making politics repugnant in the Third Republic era. You remember that, right? 'Politics is dirty, bad' - that's what various series, shows, and media of the Third Republic told us. Why? Because the less people are interested in politics, the more they can pursue their own politics somewhere in Warsaw, politics as it was before, politics not for the people. Politics where VAT mafias robbed us in every possible way. That's why real democracy is the ballot paper in your hands" - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Świdnik.

What number should be assigned to the Left today? When in polls the Left is the third political force. When the Left comprises three political parties forming this broad social coalition, and when the leaders of this Left are three tenors. What else could come to your mind? We are simply, naturally, the Three Kings, along with the Queens, who will bring salvation to our country. It is self-evident, quoting a classic, that the Left is number three - Robert Biedroń said in Sieradz. 

Agriculture is an extremely important branch of our economy. Farmers do a wonderful job for the Republic. It is thanks to them that we have one of the most important pillars of security, which is food security. In this regard, we are absolutely self-sufficient as a state. This is the result of the hard work of Polish farmers. But I would like Polish farmers to be treated like other farmers in the EU, including through direct payments. We need these direct payments in Poland to reach the EU average, and we must strive for this. So that they are not lower than the EU average. We have a great opportunity to achieve this. Our candidate for the European Commissioner for Agriculture is Janusz Wojciechowski, who perfectly understands these issues and is well-versed in European affairs. I believe that he will have strong support from all of us, and I believe that he will be fairly assessed, because if he is fairly assessed, he will certainly become a commissioner, and then I count on the problems and needs of Polish farmers, and indeed farmers from our part of Europe, those who once emerged from behind the Iron Curtain, to finally be understood in Brussels, which has been lacking so far – stated President Andrzej Duda in Białobrzegi.

- I hope we can pay out a double 13th pension. This is extremely important because it is great help for pensioners. I hope that, in line with our program commitments, we will manage to raise the minimum wage, because this is also very important. This must happen all the time. Poland cannot be a country of cheap labor. Poland must be a state where there is high productivity, where there are highly qualified employees who work well, and Poles know how to work well and honestly - stated President Andrzej Duda in Białobrzegi.

- In these elections, we will decide which way Poland will go. And in the shortest terms, whether it will move forward, towards development, towards that welfare state, a Polish version of the welfare state, towards justice, solidarity, or whether it will go backward. It will start to return on this historical path, a retreat will begin, a march back towards post-communism, towards all that limited our opportunities, that wronged so many people, that led to the fact that the chances of these 30 years, which are already behind us, were only partially utilized. More could have been done, significantly more, and these 4 years have shown that more could have been done – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a PiS meeting with volunteers.

- Much can be done, also in the future. This country can be built, about which it can be said that it is a happy country, a country without any complexes, whose citizens, when they travel to the West, to that once mythical West, will feel at home, in the sense that it won't be better there than here. It will be just as good here, and I will even tell you that it will be better, because here there will also be freedom, here an island of freedom will remain, and today freedom in Europe is very, very varied – the PiS leader continued.

It is easier then to fish in such murky waters. There are no people, no civil society, that is interested in politics. Poles deserve to live no worse than to the west of our borders, to have a sense of strength, the strength of individuals, their families, but also the strength that a nation and a state possess. We are moving in this direction, defending traditional values, because they are the foundation of our endurance, but also our development. And this is not the first time in history that we have an example of rapid development based on tradition. Bavaria was once, even before the war or shortly after the war, the poorest state in Germany. Today it is one of the two richest. It relied on tradition and at the same time pushed forward, and we are pushing forward similarly today. And we must go down this path, but to go down this path, we need to gain the support of our compatriots, our citizens. And this support is something that must be fought for. Fought for, one might say, to the last breath, because our compatriots, and this is normal in a democracy, have different views, but it is perhaps less normal that they also have a different picture of reality. Because this reality, which we are talking about, based on facts, reliable facts, is being distorted, twisted, sometimes by 180 degrees, by a significant portion of the media, not rarely. Therefore, reaching every Pole with information about what is truly happening in Poland today, what is important, what future we can build for ourselves, and how we can harm ourselves if we make wrong decisions - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a meeting of PiS with volunteers.
