The Sejm session will begin at 9:00 AM. Deputies will primarily focus on the Civic Platform-Civic Coalition (PO-KO) motion to dismiss Minister Zbigniew Ziobro. The debate is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM, with a voting block at 9:00 PM. Earlier, at 4:00 PM, the Committee on Justice and Human Rights will consider the motion.

The President of Latvia is visiting Warsaw today. At 10:15 AM, he will hold talks with President Andrzej Duda, and at 10:45 AM, plenary delegation talks will take place. A press conference of the presidents is scheduled for 11:35 AM. Afterwards, Egils Levits will also meet with the Marshal of the Sejm (2:35 PM) and the Marshal of the Senate (3:20 PM).

MEP Patryk Jaki will inaugurate a nationwide campaign in Szczecin: "7 Commitments of a New Generation in Politics." A press conference will be held at 4:00 PM, followed by an open meeting with the residents of Szczecin at 5:00 PM.

"I appreciate the honesty. Madam Marshal [Kidawa-Błońska] and Madam Professor are honest. This should be valued because others dodge. Rabiej's plan is to be implemented. Children are to become objects that someone needs, I don't know for what. One can probably say for play, but we will very firmly defend against this plan being implemented. We will defend ourselves against the implementation of this plan. We will defend ourselves very decisively. These elections concern economic and social matters, related to wages, incomes of ordinary people. - Today, Poles truly face a simple choice. Should it be based on a rational assessment of their reality, the environment they live in, and ask themselves whether things are worse or better. Of course, we have this factor associated with the very strong propaganda from the other side, which describes reality in a completely false way, and this propaganda reaches many people. Each of us sees their immediate surroundings on one hand, and on the other hand, sees through the mediation of primarily the media. Sometimes also some other opinions, but mainly the media. And this causes a certain correction in various assessments, but I believe that an objective assessment indicates that Poland is simply better off today, that a very large part of society, I emphasize a very large part, the majority of society, has benefited from the changes that have occurred, and Poland as a whole, the Polish nation has benefited from it, and that if we could continue this policy, these benefits could continue, because what we are announcing is simply further points leading to Poland being stronger in every respect, and Poles living better than before. We have framed this as a Polish version of the welfare state, because we are already at a level where we can risk such a description. It is not yet a state where we can catch up with the West, for example Germany, in a few years, but it is a discernible perspective and we are moving in this direction and we can move, perhaps even faster, although not everything depends on us, because there are also international economic conditions, but we can move really fast or at least relatively quickly and consistently, in the interest of a huge part of society, not just a certain, minority part, as it has been until now - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

- During this four-year term, and I believe in the next one as well, if we are in power, we will primarily focus on ensuring that the income of society, of those who work, but also of people who benefit from other sources, increases. But for this to truly happen, the Polish economy must modernize. And here we have a cause-and-effect relationship. If incomes increase, if wages increase, there is also pressure towards modernizing the economy. If the economy modernizes, if productivity increases, including that of employees, then naturally there are also economic foundations for wages to increase - stated Jarosław Kaczyński on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

I expected some [outcry after the minimum wage increase announcement], but I didn't expect such fake news as our opponents are currently using. They claim, namely, that what is supposed to be in the interest of the smallest entrepreneurs, that they will pay ZUS [Social Insurance Institution] based on income, not the lump-sum, meaning not 1500 PLN, but less, that this will apply precisely to the larger ones, and therefore ZUS will grow. This is simply untrue, a mere deception - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1. I thought that - one could say - the impudence of those defending their interests would be somehow masked. It turns out it is unmeasured - he noted. What we are doing is in the interest of millions of employees, and in reality, also entrepreneurs, in any case, all good entrepreneurs and those who look to the future, and in the interest of the Polish economy. It is in all our interests, and we will continue this policy - added the PiS chairman.

"It so happens that last night I was able to speak with the president of the national bank. He presented me with initial estimates as to whether it would negatively impact the economy. Nothing of the sort. These are estimates from the national bank, which usually monitors things very closely", said Jarosław Kaczyński in a conversation with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Jedynka radio.

"I simply wanted to defend what we defend, which is the traditional family model. It's impossible to say everything in every statement. Of course, we are fully in favor of respect for women, but also for men, who raise children alone. We believe that what is the foundation of our civilization, namely a lasting union between a woman and a man and the children who come into the world, is something extremely valuable" - said the leader Jarosław Kaczyński on Radio Jedynka.

- I hear [on the streets] much less often that a leader makes it difficult for someone to decide to vote for this list [Civic Coalition]. Unfortunately, I heard that quite often. Especially since he's not from Warsaw [Grzegorz Schetyna], so that was an additional blow. But there's another reason. I have a rather deep feeling that Małgosia [Kidawa-Błońska] and I differ significantly in our approach to politics, in the way we formulate our thoughts, and for many people, my more economic, precise, fact-based character will be attractive, and I believe I have my own electorate who will decide to vote – stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- If there is any method to achieve victory, then we must achieve that victory and fight for it. For me, changing the prime ministerial candidate at a moment when we know the previous candidate was less popular is an example of how much we truly care about victory, about winning these elections. - Interrupted in accordance with the law. The Sejm session can continue even after the elections with the current composition. There is nothing extraordinary about it. This is related to the fact that, as far as I know, the election campaign is underway. - Small businesses will cope, just as they have so far. I believe that good work deserves a decent wage. “We have prepared the draft for these two days – October 15th and 16th. There will be no changes. You can familiarize yourselves with them, they are available online. We will not introduce anything suddenly. We are sticking to this schedule. MPs would like to be among their constituents. The campaign period is very short, and this motion from the largest parliamentary club, which was submitted yesterday, has resulted in the Sejm Presidium agreeing to it” – said Sejm Marshal Elżbieta Witek at a press conference.

"This is the same session. The list of laws we will be dealing with is posted. This is nothing extraordinary. It is in accordance with the law, in accordance with the rules, and it doesn't mean that we want to introduce something new. The order is changing. There is only a break and a continuation on October 15th and 16th" - said the Marshal of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, at a press conference.

„Several opposition MPs approached me directly asking if there was a possibility of shortening the Sejm term. I will not reveal [who], because I am not authorized to do so. This matter is closed. The Sejm Presidium has concluded it, voted on it, and the matter is closed for me” - said Sejm Marshal Elżbieta Witek at a press conference.

It might also be the case that PiS, despite everything, is simply afraid of the election result and wants to have a safeguard before the new term begins. Just as Civic Platform once appointed Constitutional Tribunal judges, they might follow a similar line of thinking and reasoning, and that on any account, let's have this session after the elections, so that in case of anything, we can introduce some bills that protect us or quickly pass some laws – stated Paweł Kukiz in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

• If there were something to be proud of during these two days of the post-election Sejm session, something the rulers would want to boast about, my dear friends, they are the best at boasting. They are world champions in boasting, so they would do it now. If they wanted to introduce any solutions beneficial to our compatriots, citizens, they would do it today and very quickly, in an expedited manner. This raises questions, and one can search for answers, but we won't be prophesying, yet it raises suspicions about what exactly the rulers want to hide from our compatriots today, that they are organizing this just after the elections, two days after the elections, when the official election results might not even be available yet, and what projects they will push through. Could it be about amending this year's budget? Such a question must be asked. Or perhaps the state coffers aren't as healthy as we've been hearing for years? - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference in the Sejm, when asked about the Sejm session after the elections.
• The authorities want to hide something to win the elections, because fear is their biggest driver today, fear of losing and fear of the decisions of Poles. We are not afraid of the decisions of Poles. We await them and believe deeply that the nation, aware of its rights and duties, will bring about a change that will order this situation and end the autocracy of any political party - added the PSL chairman.

- This is a reflection of the fact that there is no plan, and the decisions are not made by the Marshal [of the Sejm], because it's an ad hoc decision, suddenly at night, I think under urgent procedure, without justification. I believe all the MPs who arrived and are in the Sejm are ready to work, and therefore this situation confirms the work style of the PiS marshals over the past four years. - Two more days, two fewer days of campaigning, I think any self-respecting MP doesn't campaign in the last four weeks, but works in their constituency for four years, and then actually has a chance to run for re-election. Therefore, it's not about those two days, the question is what is the cause – added the PSL MP.

- The most important thing is that Poland will have its commissioner, and we, as the Peasants' Party (Ludowcy), asked before the European Parliament elections who would be our commissioner candidate. It will be good if Poland gets the agriculture commissioner portfolio, because it's not PiS, not Wojciechowski, but Poland will have its representative, and this is of great value to us – stated Urszula Pasławska in an interview with Jacek Gądek on Gazeta.pl.

- I support a Pole having it, that it's finally agreed with the parliament, with the commission, that finally there will be a commissioner, and the agriculture commissioner portfolio is really important for Poles – added the PSL MP.

“ The new five programmatic proposals from PiS have become a reality. We have introduced a zero PIT rate for young Poles. These individuals will not pay personal income tax. We have also introduced and secured funds for the restoration of local bus connections. And what is particularly important to us, is the implementation of the biggest support and investment in Polish families, which is the expansion of the 500+ program to every child. This solution has already been implemented” - Jarosław Krajewski from PiS said at a press conference in the Sejm.

“PiS keeps its word. It is worth remembering that we lowered the PIT tax for 25 million Poles to 17%. This shows that PiS is the most credible party on the Polish political scene, because PiS also introduced the previous PIT reduction. Let me remind you, what is characteristic of PO - a lack of credibility is linked to the fact that PO promised 3x15 in 2005” - he added.

"The reason why the Sejm session is being split is the election campaign. You are in the Sejm. Please ask the opposition MPs, because they are approaching us and confirming that it is a very good and right decision," said PiS spokesperson Anita Czerwińska at a press conference in the Sejm.

„This is not an interruption of the session, but a shortening to one day and moving the remaining agenda items to the period directly after the elections, to enable MPs to conduct their campaign, which is short and must be intensive. [The motion] has been submitted in writing to the Sejm Presidium. I signed it on behalf of the PiS parliamentary club. There is no written justification. The justification was given orally at the Sejm Presidium. We have a short campaign, and democracy requires MPs to be able to present their achievements and the programs of their parties” - said Deputy Marshal Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

- This is a man [Ziobro] who has reduced the Ministry of Justice to a mere building and a name. In reality, it has become a ministry of hate. That is why today we are submitting a motion and we are counting on every decent male MP and every decent female MP to ask themselves whether they stand with decent people today, or with the man who is politically responsible for hate, animosity, and violence in public discourse - Borys Budka said during a press conference in the Sejm. 

“We are in an exceptional situation today. Marshal Witek has decided to suspend parliamentary work until October 15. The next day of parliamentary work is scheduled to take place two days after the elections. In recent days, we have seen the discussion that took place in Great Britain when parliamentary work was suspended. The situation is unprecedented. The next day of the Sejm session is to be held after the elections. We must put forward the political thesis that the PiS government is preparing for defeat or for losing its majority. The PiS government is contemplating how to steal free elections from Poles. This is an extraordinary situation” - said Cezary Tomczyk from Civic Platform (PO) at a press conference in the Sejm. “There is a serious danger that the outcome of democratic elections will be undermined. Someone came up with the idea that after the post-election Monday, a Sejm session would take place where the old MPs would be present. 30 years of free Poland, various individuals have served as Sejm Marshals. None of them has ever made a decision that Marshal Witek dared to make. This is a unilateral decision by Jarosław Kaczyński, who has some mad plan in his head after the elections” - added Sławomir Nitras.

- We have very good news for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. First, it's the possibility of paying a lump-sum tax, which will be raised first fourfold, actually very quickly, and then we plan to raise it eightfold. This means going from the current threshold of 250,000 euros to one million, and soon to two million euros. This translates to less bureaucracy, fewer formalities, and much greater ease of settling and paying lump-sum taxes, which are very low: 2-3% for the agricultural sector, depending on the nature of the industry, and 8%, 8.5%, or more for other industries with high margins – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Karczew.

- And second, very good news. We are also allocating approximately one billion Polish zlotys to reduce the burdens of ZUS (Social Insurance Institution) for micro and small companies. This will be achieved by allowing ZUS contributions for these small firms to be calculated not only on revenue, as is already the case today, but also on income up to a certain level. This will be calibrated so that the total relief, the amount of money not paid to the Family Support Fund (FUS), does not exceed one billion zlotys. This is how it is currently calibrated. Therefore, a relief for the small ones, and for all those medium and larger ones, I want to emphasize once again with all my might that this lump-sum ZUS, which is calculated based on 60% of the average wage, and all these individual rates, we are maintaining them as they are to date. This means around 1300 zlotys, which, incidentally, we have no control over; they have been indexed year after year for years in line with wage growth. So, we are raising the lump-sum tax initially fourfold, with fewer formalities, lower taxes, as the Ministry of Finance has calculated about one billion zlotys less in taxes here as well. Therefore, lower taxes for small businesses, and slightly higher for those international, large corporations, which previously – it must be said – did not pay taxes to the extent they should have. We are maintaining the lump-sum rate as it is now, but in turn, we are lowering this lump-sum for some of the smallest companies, for whom it was more difficult to utilize ZUS reliefs – emphasized the Prime Minister.

- The Sejm Presidium made a decision [to continue Sejm proceedings after the elections]. Of course, we respect that, but I also want to point out that all the most important issues, including those that have already been presented during the last few Sejm sessions and passed the first reading, all important topics that the government and society truly cared about, will be processed. And in a few weeks, we will be able to continue working on those topics that the Sejm did not manage to process. I am very grateful to Marshal Witek for conducting the proceedings so efficiently, so that all the most important issues will practically be addressed now, during today's Sejm agenda - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Karczew.

This outrageous case, which has never happened before, politically implicates the Minister of Justice in our assessment. Political responsibility is obvious, and in light of his earlier public statements from years ago, it seemed obvious that he would resign after he once demanded the resignation of one of the Ministers of Justice, Professor Ćwiąkalski, for a matter of much lesser weight in terms of political responsibility, and much more tragic, as it ended in a person's death. Meanwhile, the lack of reaction from Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and from the leader of the ruling camp, Jarosław Kaczyński, has forced MPs from PO, Civic Coalition, to submit this motion - said Borys Budka during the sitting of the Sejm's Justice and Human Rights Committee.

- [Zbigniew Ziobro] is burying his head in the sand today. He is pretending that his deputy ended up in the ministry by accident. That he was even sent there by the opposition. It was almost like a Trojan horse that appeared in the ministry, and it was only thanks to the quick reaction of the infallible minister that he was dismissed. Even if we were to accept these explanations, it would even more strongly indicate that a irresponsible person was at the highest level of the ministry, someone who should never have held that position - Borys Budka said during a session of the Sejm's Justice and Human Rights Committee.

For the first time in history since 1989, court proceedings have significantly lengthened. These statistics, which were in the Ministry of Justice, but curiously are much harder to find, irrefutably show that the average court proceeding has lengthened by nearly 30% – Borys Budka stated during a session of the Sejm's Justice and Human Rights Committee.

- It is regrettable that once again you are presenting a motion of no confidence, and I will explain why in a moment, but it is an honor to defend the Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General. You are essentially using these motions as a pretext to attack the Minister of Justice, because everything we have done for society over the last 4 years is indeed a revolution in many areas. We are the ones who have met society's expectations - said Michał Wójcik during the sitting of the Sejm Committee on Justice and Human Rights.

Referring to the matter of the judges' quarrel that emerged in the motion you raised. Yes, a quarrel among judges. Judges, and why? Because in these revealed conversations, there is not a single politician. Neither Minister Ziobro, nor Wójcik, Warchoł, Kaleta, Jaki. There is no one from among us. There are no politicians. These are judges, who, interestingly, come from the same association, who simply quarrelled, and you know this perfectly well. You are trying to pin this onto politicians, but that will not succeed – said Michał Wójcik during a meeting of the Sejm's Committee on Justice and Human Rights.

Minister Ziobro did not know Minister Łukasz Piebiak before the elections. However, he made a certain proposal. Minister Ziobro made a proposal for cooperation to the association. Minister Piebiak expressed his readiness for cooperation and became a deputy minister. I want to say that since that time, a very deep division has occurred in the judicial community and a powerful confrontation – said Michał Wójcik during a session of the Sejm's Committee on Justice and Human Rights.

- Some judges, who were unfortunately attacked, succumbed to emotions. They used formulations on private forums that should not have been uttered. Minister Zbigniew Ziobro made a decision. An immediate one. This is a different reaction than was seen in your time. Madam Marshal, you are watching. There was, for example, the infoafera. Do you remember? Grzegorz Schetyna was the Minister of Internal Affairs then. What was the speed of reaction at that time? Perhaps there was none at all? Perhaps as a reward he became someone? He became Marshal, I believe. Those were the standards in your time. In our time, it is completely different - said Michał Wójcik during a parliamentary session of the Committee on Justice and Human Rights.

I am very critical and I definitively disown and condemn actions that, if they took place, judges deny, but I take into account that they may have occurred within a group holding conversations on a private internet forum. I do not justify this by saying that the behavior was motivated by a desire for a so-called reaction, a defense against what these judges were experiencing from their colleagues – said Zbigniew Ziobro during the Justice and Human Rights Committee.

- This is the last three-day Sejm session, where the agenda is known. I understand that PiS might not want to convene the Sejm on Thursday or Friday, but we can do it in a week or two. Convening after the elections is something inappropriate, wrong. It is absolutely something that is a wrong, unacceptable move in a democracy - stated Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- The National Electoral Commission will likely announce the names of the newly elected MPs on Tuesday morning. And we are supposed to meet later, with the old Sejm composition, which effectively no longer exists, and make decisions. This has never happened before. I see no reason whatsoever to finish this session during the month remaining until the end of the term - he added.

- We are putting up banners, and we will continue to do so until the last day. We will be in every town. We are going to meetings, talking to people. We have adopted the construction of this campaign strategy in a completely different way. We are not holding big conventions, we are going to the people, talking daily, persuading them of our program – stated Sławomir Neumann in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program „Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

"What Jarosław Kaczyński is proposing is the slaughter of small and medium-sized businesses and micro-enterprises," stated Sławomir Neumann in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events) on Polsat News.

– What prompted our motion is our disagreement with the systemic, organized destruction of independent judges, attacks on innocent Polish citizens, and the industry of hatred occurring within the Ministry of Justice. Individuals who should never have been employed there were hired. To this day, we have not heard a single word of apology. To this day, the Minister of Justice has lacked the courage to stand before Poles and say: I apologize for what happened in the ministry he headed. Instead, we are dealing with a torrent of nonsense, manipulation, and propaganda that seeps from this department – said Borys Budka in the Sejm, during the consideration of the Civic Coalition's motion to dismiss Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro.

- This 'great sheriff,' who has repeatedly intervened in many less significant matters, spoke about issuing orders, about what the prosecution would do, and yet for five months he has had no idea that compromising materials were seized by the regional prosecutor's office in Katowice. Not only those of the Deputy Minister of Justice, but also of judges who are on the National Judicial Council, disciplinary spokesmen, and individuals who were delegated to the ministry during this government's tenure – said Borys Budka in the Sejm.

- Today, anyone who stands with the current Minister of Justice becomes politically responsible for this system of hatred being built within that ministry. Today, anyone who raises their hand to allow the Minister of Justice to retain his position will be a symbol of consent to hate speech, hatred, and the defamation of innocent people - said Borys Budka in the Sejm during the consideration of the Civic Platform-KO motion to dismiss the Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro.

- You failed to do the most basic thing. You haven't dismissed a compromised politician, and now this responsibility is shifting directly from the Minister of Justice to the Prime Minister. One might ask: Where did this sudden love and trust for the Minister of Justice come from? Or is it about the files? We've seen information in correspondence about the infamous green files on judges. One might ask: are there other files in the Ministry of Justice? Are there black, red files, targeting colleagues within the government? - the Civic Platform MP continued.

You stand with evil, with the person who destroyed the judiciary. You stand with a man who, instead of reforming the judiciary, wanted to extremely politicize and subordinate it to power, just as it was in the bygone era. There was and is no reform of the judiciary. What you strive for and have strived for is solely the implementation of the Leninist principle that cadres are most important. That is why the reaction concerning former Deputy Minister Piebiak was swift and immediate,” Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated in the Sejm.

Judge Tuleya, Judge Żurek, and other judges from Iustitia, judges who used the following formulations towards those employed in the ministry – I have written down some of them, and I believe it should give you pause for thought. They have disgraced themselves, they practice cronyism, they have sold out, they are destroying the judiciary, they are gravediggers, they are doing someone's bidding, they will be held accountable, legal morons, they bring shame, Judases, compromised, unworthy, dishonest, etc. What kind of words are these? Is this the language of love, peace, diplomacy? Or is it hate speech? This is just one example of numerous statements by various judges, resolutions, which were directed at judges working in the Ministry of Justice – said Zbigniew Ziobro in the Sejm, during the consideration of the PO-KO motion to dismiss the Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro.
