Monday's Political Agenda: Teachers' Union Decision on Protest, VAT Committee Report Draft, and Election Registration Deadlines
- We will discuss what form of protest will be preferred by teachers on Monday, August 26th - said the president of the Polish Teachers' Union (ZNP), Sławomir Broniarz, on Polsat News. Today, a decision is to be made regarding the teachers' protest, its timing, and its form. According to Broniarz, all decisions concerning the forms of protest will be made in accordance with the will of the teachers, based on a referendum. Today - according to the election calendar - is the deadline for appointing district election commissions. The National Electoral Commission (PKW) is also accepting applications for the formation of committees until today. Although the deadline according to the calendar was August 24th, because it falls on a Saturday, in practice, the time extends to Monday. PiS announced a few days ago that they would register their lists this week. At **12:00 PM**, a session of the investigative committee on VAT will be held, where chairman Marcin Horała will present the draft final report of the committee. A second session of the committee - closed to the media - will take place at **4:00 PM**.

Fogiel:

Opposition That Was Quick to Condemn Piebiak's Associates Has Gone Silent on the Brejza Affair

I am very surprised that the opposition, which was so quick to condemn what happened in the entourage of Deputy Minister Piebiak – and of course, there is no place for such things in politics, we all agree on that – has suddenly gone silent and is not commenting on this matter [of MP Brejza]. If we take the media reports at face value, we are dealing with an affair of a much larger caliber. In the case of Deputy Minister Piebiak, it was a matter of one person who approached the political dispute with excessive enthusiasm” - said PiS Deputy Spokesperson Radosław Fogiel in a conversation with Michał Rachoń on TVP Info.

07:52

Fogiel:

PO Leadership Knew Something Was Up, Charges Might Emerge, So They Moved MP Brejza Out of the Firing Line

Until now, I myself was convinced that removing MP Brejza from the Sejm electoral list and sending him to the Senate was a specific way of thanking the election campaign manager by Grzegorz Schetyna. Many commentators wrote about how Grzegorz Schetyna treats people. I assumed this was a kind of difficult internal love within the Civic Platform, but in the situation where we are learning about these matters [from Inowrocław], it turns out that the PO leadership was aware that something was going on, that some charges might appear, and they decided to remove MP Brejza from the front line of fire” – said Radosław Fogiel, Deputy Spokesperson for PiS, in an interview with Michał Rachoń on TVP Info.

Rzepliński:

I Was the Subject of a Hate Campaign

- Not a victim, because they can be called victims, but a subject, yes, of course [I was the subject of a hate campaign]. I was, not that I felt like it. There were also specific journalists who waited for me at the gate of the Constitutional Tribunal and, in their characteristic way, one shoved a camera into my eyes, and the other into my mouth, the so-called net, sieve, and they asked me questions like: do you love Poland? - stated Andrzej Rzepliński in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

07:57

Rzepliński:

The Authorities Declared Hybrid War on Poland Because the Judiciary is the Essential Third Branch of Power. They Declared a Ruthless Hybrid War from the Very Beginning.

- Regarding any kind of offensive hate, regarding vocabulary, it didn't reach me because the head of the Constitutional Tribunal's office knew that I'm not interested in it, nor am I afraid of it, nor do I expect it. That's simply the fate in a situation of hybrid war, which the authorities have declared on Poland, because the judiciary is the essential, third branch of power in the state, and they declared a ruthless hybrid war from the very beginning – stated Andrzej Rzepliński in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

07:59

Fogiel:

The War on Trump Waged by American Elites Echoes Poland's Post-Election Protests Against the PiS Government

"I'm not surprised that the liberal Washington press is writing like this [suggesting Donald Trump shouldn't visit Poland]. The war on Donald Trump being waged by those elites can be compared to what is happening in Poland, where the very fact that a conservative PiS government was formed was a reason to call for people to take to the streets just a few weeks after the elections, KOD [Committee for the Defence of Democracy] emerged, etc. Politically, it looks similar there, with allowances for scale," stated PiS deputy spokesperson Radosław Fogiel in a conversation with Michał Rachoń on TVP Info.

08:00

Fogiel:

Czarzasty's Greater Challenge is Crossing the Electoral Threshold, Not Impeaching Anyone

For now, I think Chairman Czarzasty's greater challenge is crossing the electoral threshold than impeaching anyone. Let's wait for the election results. Running a campaign on declarations of impeaching someone, quite apart from the fact that there are no grounds for it, is a rather peculiar form of campaigning” – said PiS Deputy Spokesperson Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Michał Rachoń on TVP Info.

08:09

Rzepliński:

Piebiak Lacks Both Moral and Legal Capacity to Be a Judge

- I cannot imagine [that Judge Piebiak and others involved in the case will continue to be judges]. I do not want to advise someone like Ziobro to initiate disciplinary proceedings in this matter against Judge Piebiak, no longer a deputy minister. Is he capable, after what we have learned, after what he did – not who he is, but what he did – to appear in judicial robes, if he is the presiding judge, with the judge's chain around his neck and the eagle above him, and deliver verdicts in the name of the Republic of Poland? He is not capable. He is a lawyer, after all. Technically speaking, a good lawyer. He will find himself a job. He has the right to practice law, he has the right to apply for admission to the bar as an attorney or legal advisor. He can open a legal aid office. He can do various things, he won't perish in that regard, but there is no place for a person who has become personally involved and who has done such things that are unimaginable in Europe, a place in the courtroom. He lacks both the moral and legal capacity to be a judge – stated Andrzej Rzepliński in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

08:19

Rzepliński on Kaczyński: His dream is to enter Polish history, and he will enter history, but as a quarrelsome person who divides and incites. He already has a place in history for sure.

- His idée fixe was to destroy the judiciary for his personal gain. His dream is, and it is becoming a reality, to create a completely new Poland. He needs another 4 years to entrench this. His dream is to enter Polish history, and he will enter history, but as a quarrelsome person who divides and incites. He already has a place in history for sure - stated Andrzej Rzepliński in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

08:40

Brudziński:

After Trump's Visit, I Expect Confirmation of Our Alliance, Supported by Poles and a Large Part of the US Public

- [Following Donald Trump's visit, I expect] confirmation of what is supported not only by Poles but also by a significant portion of the public opinion in the United States, regardless of political preferences or sympathies, even frankly speaking, party affiliations, namely our alliance, an alliance in the military dimension. The USA has been, remains, and will likely remain for a very long time, one of the most important guarantors of security, I will use this term, for the civilized world. And this visit on a special day, a day reminiscent of what an alliance of two criminal systems in Europe can lead to, namely the anniversary of the outbreak of World War II, which was the fruit, contrary to what Minister Lavrov and various other historical revisionists in Russia try to claim, was the fruit of an alliance of two unprecedented in human history criminal systems, namely the system of totalitarianism, German Nazism, German Nazism and Soviet Communism - stated Joachim Brudziński in a conversation with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon".

08:46

Brudziński on the Ministry of Justice and Piebiak Affair: 'When You Lack a Program, You Pull Out These Kinds of Actions.' In the Political Dimension, This Matter Was Settled the Day It Exploded.

- These discussions [about trolling in the Ministry of Justice] will probably continue for a long time, because when you lack substantive fuel, when you lack a program, you pull out these kinds of actions. In the political dimension, this matter was practically settled the day it erupted. Prime Minister Morawiecki's swift and decisive reaction - stated Joachim Brudziński in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon".

- In the political dimension, the matter is closed. This, forgive me for the term, racket that the opposition is making around this topic reminds me of the classic principle that the devil dressed in a chasuble and rings for Mass with his tail. Politicians who publicly, and even at the rank of prime minister, admitted to hiring paid haters, who today lead election headquarters, are today accused of creating such a troll factory in Inowrocław, I mean Mr. Brejza here, the head of the largest opposition club - very serious charges have been made, there is no reaction, and they want to teach us about purity in politics. One would want to say: go get some sense and repent - the head of the PiS campaign staff continued.

09:53

Dworczyk on the Budget Draft: If it were confirmed that revenues would be balanced with expenditures, it would be a historic moment
"Everything will be revealed tomorrow. All information will be verified during the Council of Ministers session. This is indeed a historic moment, if it were to happen, if this information were to be confirmed, because for the first time since the transformation, the budget would be balanced, revenues would be balanced with expenditures. And secondly, it emphasizes that the opinions and assessments of liberal economists or those associated with Civic Platform were completely wrong" - said Minister Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

09:56

Dworczyk on Potential Teachers' Union Strike: I Hope Broniarz Won't Try to Politicize the Discussion on Polish Education

"I hope that Mr. Chairman Broniarz will not try to politicize this important issue, which is the discussion about how Polish education should look, including in the area of salaries, which is very important from the teachers' point of view. Teachers have been neglected for many years when it comes to raises. For 3 years, we have been consistently increasing teachers' salaries" - said Minister Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News.

11:04

Kierwiński:

We will submit a request to NIK for an urgent inspection at the Ministry of Justice

- For a week now, we have been witnessing a major scandal at the Ministry of Justice, yet we see no reaction from the ruling party politicians. Prime Minister Morawiecki and President Kaczyński are acting as if removing Mr. Piebiak from the sleigh solves the whole problem. It does not, because there is still a mythical leader who appears in this matter and bears full and complete responsibility for what happened in the ministry. We are not prejudging the guilt of individual PiS politicians, but it is obvious to us that political responsibility exists. Minister Ziobro has turned out to be either an incompetent minister or the ringleader of a hate group. In both these cases, political and personal decisions should be obvious. This should be the resignation of Minister Ziobro. We are surprised that this decision has not been made, that Jarosław Kaczyński is avoiding commenting on this matter, and we are also surprised that Prime Minister Morawiecki, while attending numerous picnics, does not refer to this issue. It's as if the matter didn't exist at all, yet this matter is an unprecedented event in Polish history, crossing yet another line. Instead of dealing with what it was established for, the Ministry of Justice was engaged in slandering judges and judicial organizations - stated Marcin Kierwiński at a briefing in the Sejm.

- We will not leave this matter unresolved, both the political and financial aspects. Today, we will submit a request to the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) for an urgent inspection at the Ministry of Justice, concerning all contracts concluded since 2015, related to internet campaigns, PR, and marketing, to verify the justification of funds spent on such activities. We have very serious suspicions, and little time to verify them, that public funds were spent on simple hate campaigns. This must be checked, checked by independent auditors - added the Civic Platform MP.

11:13

Tomczyk:

Motion of no confidence against the Minister of Justice to be filed within the next 24 hours

- We also wanted to announce that within the next 24 hours, Civic Platform will file a motion of no confidence against the Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro. Friday's Sejm session is ahead of us, and with it, an opportunity to cut this matter short and resolve it. We are currently in a situation where the Ministry of Justice has been transformed into a ministry of hate. This must never be allowed – stated Cezary Tomczyk at a briefing in the Sejm.

11:20

Tomczyk:

The Last 24 Hours Seem Like an Opportunity for PM Morawiecki to Save Face and Dismiss Ziobro

- The last 24 hours also seem like an opportunity for Prime Minister Morawiecki to get out of this, while he still can, with his dignity intact, and dismiss Minister Ziobro. It's time to end the hate, the animosity, and the way PiS conducts politics - stated Cezary Tomczyk at a briefing in the Sejm.

Horała in Final VAT Fraud Commission Report: Tusk, Kopacz, Rostowski, and Szczurek for the State Tribunal

The report points to the criminal and constitutional responsibility of the highest state officials for what happened between 2007 and 2015, for approximately PLN 250 billion disappearing from the budget, but what is worse, for this phenomenon escalating year by year. The sum itself can be misleading. The point is that it got worse from year to year. No systemic actions were taken to counteract it. Piecemeal, minor actions were very late and in practically every case state authorities were forced by years of insistence from industry organizations and other entities, even ambassadors of foreign countries. Many actions were also taken that weakened the tax system. To this was added the dismantling of special services, the prosecutor's office, and hindering the work of law enforcement agencies” – said Marcin Horała, chairman of the VAT fraud commission, in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

In the final report, the chairman recommends bringing Donald Tusk, Ewa Kopacz, Jan Rostowski, and Mateusz Szczurek before the State Tribunal.

13:20

Lubnauer on the 2020 Budget Draft: "Paper is Patient, It Will Tolerate Anything. What PiS Promises Now Has No Meaning"

We wanted to correct the deception that PiS is perpetrating around the state budget. They announced grandly that the budget is balanced and there will be no deficit. The problem with the Polish budget is not primarily the deficit, but the enormous debt accumulation that the PiS government has been carrying out for 4 years. That's 3 billion in debt per month. Anyone can write today that next year the deficit will be zero. Let PiS show when they have executed a budget with zero deficit” – said Jarosław Urbaniak from Civic Platform (PO) at a press conference in the Sejm.

Paper is patient, it will tolerate anything. One can promise anything today, and the question is what the 2020 budget will actually look like. A different Sejm will be adopting it. What PiS promises now has no meaning” – added the leader of Nowoczesna, Katarzyna Lubnauer.

14:08

Kopacz:

The Current Government Has Already Used the Ministry of Justice and Public Television, and Now They Are Trying to Use the State Tribunal to Fight the Opposition

Ewa Kopacz, a prominent figure in Polish politics and a former Prime Minister, has voiced her strong concerns regarding the current government's alleged misuse of state institutions to target the political opposition. In a statement, she detailed how the Ministry of Justice and public television have already been leveraged for political gain, and she now warns that the State Tribunal is being considered as another tool in this strategy.

The former premier highlighted that the Ministry of Justice, under the current administration, has been instrumental in shaping judicial reforms that critics argue undermine the independence of the judiciary. She also pointed to public television, which she claims has been transformed into a propaganda arm of the ruling party, routinely featuring biased reporting and discrediting opposition figures.

Kopacz's latest accusation centers on the State Tribunal, a constitutional court responsible for adjudicating constitutional responsibility of high-ranking state officials. She suggests that the government is now exploring ways to utilize this tribunal to pursue political objectives, potentially by initiating proceedings against opposition leaders or officials.

"This is a dangerous precedent," Kopacz stated, emphasizing that such actions erode democratic norms and the rule of law. She urged for vigilance from citizens and political actors to protect democratic institutions from being politicized and instrumentalized for partisan purposes.

14:21

Broniarz:

September 16th will see a decision on the form of a potential teachers' protest. A poll will be conducted from September 1st to 15th.

- In response to the appeals and requests we are receiving, from September 1st to 15th, we will conduct a poll with several questions regarding whether I will participate in a protest action, what form I envision for this action, and in which of these forms I will participate. On September 16th, that is, Monday, the presidium of the main board will summarize this two-week campaign and will decide on the form of protest, its organizational shape, and the timeframe in which it will take place - stated Sławomir Broniarz at a press briefing.

14:55

Konwiński:

The threat of putting Tusk and Kopacz before the Tribunal of State is absurd. The VAT committee session is meant to cover up PiS's problems in the Ministry of Justice.

"Chairman Horała presented his version of the report from the VAT committee. Mirosław Papuch, Genowefa Tokarska, and I prepared our own report and assessment of what the committee has been dealing with over the past year. What Chairman Horała presented today was a load of half-truths, lies, and slander. It had nothing to do with a real assessment of what happened during the 8 years of Civic Platform-PSL rule" - said Zbigniew Konwiński from Civic Platform at a press conference in the Sejm.

"Today's session is meant to cover up PiS's problems in the Ministry of Justice. The absurd threat of putting Ewa Kopacz and Donald Tusk before the Tribunal of State. When they were sealing the tax system in Poland through their actions, PiS opposed these actions in parliament, and today they want to bring them before the Tribunal of State" - he added.

16:04

Szczerski:

I've decided to withdraw my candidacy for EU Commissioner. A previously unforeseen opportunity for Poland to hold the Agriculture Commissioner portfolio has emerged.

Because a previously unforeseen opportunity for Poland to hold the Agriculture Commissioner portfolio has emerged, I have decided to withdraw my candidacy – Krzysztof Szczerski stated in an interview with RMF FM.

I believe this is such an important portfolio for Poland that it should be held by someone who has truly dedicated their life to agriculture. I proposed Janusz Wojciechowski – he added. As emphasized by the presidential minister, he himself has never worked in agriculture.

Sejm Committee to Address Constitutional Tribunal Case on Publishing Support Lists for Judicial Candidates

On Thursday at 11:00 AM, Members of Parliament, during a session of the legislative committee, will provide an opinion to the Marshal of the Sejm regarding a case pending before the Constitutional Tribunal (TK) under case number K 16/19. In practice, this concerns an examination of the constitutionality of the requirement to publish the support lists of candidates for the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS).

Initially, the committee was scheduled to address only the draft bill concerning the Committee on Pedophilia, but the agenda was expanded. "The Constitutional Tribunal will examine whether the obligation to make public the names of individuals who supported candidates for judges is in line with current constitutional provisions," stated TK President Julia Przyłębska in a recent interview with TVP Info.

17:49

Müller:

Janusz Wojciechowski Will Be Poland's Candidate for EU Commissioner for Agriculture

- This is one of the most important portfolios [agriculture] within the European Commission, a portfolio also with one of the highest budgets, and no one needs to be convinced that it is one of the most important portfolios from Poland's perspective. In connection with this proposal, Minister Szczerski today made the decision to withdraw his candidacy for membership of the EC. In the spirit of responsibility precisely because this area may be entrusted to Poland for the next 5 years. Minister Szczerski has not dealt with this area so far, and therefore made this decision. Prime Minister Morawiecki greatly appreciates it and views it constructively and in a pro-state manner. Indeed, our candidate for the EC will be Janusz Wojciechowski - stated Piotr Müller in an interview with journalists before the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

17:59

Fogiel:

The Leader Spent the Weekend Polishing the Program. He's Hitting the Road This Week

- There is no riddle or mystery [that Jarosław Kaczyński was absent over the weekend]. The Leader spent the weekend on the final touches of the program. He's hitting the road this week - Radosław Fogiel stated in an interview with Onet. On Wednesday, the PiS leader is scheduled to participate in a PiS convention in Sieradz.

- On the opposition politicians' side, I would rather speculate whether they will keep their places on the electoral lists until they are registered, because the experiences of recent days show that there is no certainty in this regard within PO - added the PiS deputy spokesperson.

19:38

Jaki:

Ziobro Made a Very Good Decision, Despite Denials from Those Implicated, Setting Important Standards

- [The resignations following the so-called hate campaign scandal] surprised me. I still believe they were necessary. Minister Ziobro made a very good decision, despite the fact that the individuals mentioned in connection with these events deny any involvement. However, it is good that Minister Ziobro has set such standards. That is to say, immediate information, immediate resignation. One would wish for similar standards to prevail in other environments, but it varies in that regard - stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Anita Werner on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

19:46

Jaki:

Ziobro reacted correctly. There is no evidence to suggest he knew anything about this procedure.

- Minister Ziobro, in my opinion, reacted correctly. There is no evidence to suggest that Minister Ziobro knew anything about this procedure - stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Anita Werner on "Fakty po faktach" TVN24.

- This woman, this internet hater, explicitly stated: Minister Ziobro had no knowledge of this - continued the former Minister of Justice.

19:54

Horała on the Chances of Bringing Tusk and Kopacz Before the Tribunal of State: On a Scale of 1 to 10, I Think 9

- On a scale of 1 to 10, I think 9. It depends on the voters' verdict, because a qualified majority in the Sejm is needed. 60%, 3/5. This would clearly be the next step; we wouldn't manage it in this Sejm. In fact, one session, plus another very short one - said Marcin Horała in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

19:59

Kierwiński on the 'Traitor's Tusk' Resolution for PO Politicians: 'This is a purely political motion. I doubt anyone had any doubts that this motion would appear during the campaign.'

- This is a purely political motion. I doubt anyone had any doubts that this motion would appear during the election campaign, and it did appear during the election campaign. Of course, entirely without justification - said Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

20:02

Kierwiński to Horała: You Don't Even Want to Pretend You Conducted This Commission Fairly
Why, Mr. Chairman, did you spend money on this commission? Why did you attract media attention when this report wasn't written by you, but was drafted at Nowogrodzka [PiS headquarters] years ago? And today, you merely confirmed it. You came and read it. You don't even want to create the semblance that you conducted this commission honestly – Marcin Kierwiński stated in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program 'Wydarzenia i Opinie' on Polsat News.

20:05

Head of the National Council of the Judiciary on Judges' Responsibility: At Least It Would Concern Disciplinary Misconduct Regarding Required Impeccability
- My assessment would be premature, as we are currently investigating whether we are dealing with hatemongers within the KRS. If these reports are confirmed, the scope of responsibility must be determined by disciplinary proceedings. At the very least, it would concern disciplinary misconduct regarding the required impeccability – said Judge Leszek Mazur, the Chairman of the KRS, on Kropka nad I.

20:07

Patryk Jaki to Anita Werner: You Create Scandals and Special Programs, Compare to Communist Systems When One Deputy Minister is Suspected of Hate Speech. But When the Head of a Competing Bloc Personally Leads and Participates in Such Hate, You Don't See It

This is simply a scandal, what you are doing right now. You beat us from morning to night. When I try to come and explain one thing, you keep interrupting me. Do you think a conversation should look like this? At the very end, I will tell you one thing. That you create scandals and special programs, you compare to communist systems when one deputy minister is suspected of hate speech. But when the head of a competing bloc personally leads and participates in such hate, you do not see it. This is also hate speech – stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Anita Werner on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

20:07

Biedroń:

Kaczyński Rules Because There Is No Left in Parliament

- The Left must return to the Polish parliament. You said, when announcing this broadcast, that Poland is the only country without a left-wing party. We must change this. Kaczyński rules because there is no Left in the Sejm - said Robert Biedroń in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

20:14

Biedroń:

I Am For a Secular State, But the Cross on Giewont Has Nothing to Do With It. The Bigger Problem is That a Priest in an Average Parish Pays 240 PLN in Taxes

- I don't think it's a good idea [to remove the cross from Giewont]. I think it's not about the cross here. It's about ensuring tourists' safety so they can climb Giewont safely, and the cross doesn't hold much significance in this regard. I am for a secular state, but the cross on Giewont has nothing to do with it. The bigger problem is that a priest in an average parish pays 240 PLN in taxes - Robert Biedroń said in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

20:16

Head of the National Council of the Judiciary: This Pathology is Unfolding Within the Ranks of Former and Current Iustitia Judges
- This has nothing to do with the functioning of the National Council of the Judiciary. This pathology is unfolding within the ranks of former and current Iustitia judges - said the head of the National Council of the Judiciary, Leszek Mazur, on Kropka nad I.

20:19

Biedroń on the Use of Hate Speech by Leftist Candidates: "If They Do It, I Promise to Pay Attention"

- If they do it, I promise to pay attention. I will not allow it. I am someone who personally experiences hate speech - said Robert Biedroń in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" on Polsat News.

20:24

Biedroń on Spurek's Cow Statement: "I Don't Quite Understand"

- I don't quite understand, but I can guess that it's about different types of cows, which are, well, I don't know. You would have to ask the MEP. She is an expert on these matters - said Robert Biedroń in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program 'Events and Opinions' on Polsat News.

Biedroń was asked about Sylwia Spurek's statement, in which she said that "the fate of dairy cows is determined by their sex."

20:26

Biedroń:

I Can't Imagine a Coalition with PiS. There Is No Such Option

- I can't imagine a coalition with PiS. There is no such option. We love democracy, human rights, the rule of law - said Robert Biedroń in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program 'Events and Opinions' on Polsat News.

20:46

Pampuch:

It's Good That the Agriculture Commissioner Portfolio Went to Poland. It's a Good Portfolio

The agriculture commissioner portfolio is a good portfolio. It’s good that it was awarded to Poland. I hope that PiS will fulfill the promises made to farmers, that agricultural subsidies will be like those in Germany, because so far these have been nothing but empty words” – said Mirosław Pampuch from Nowoczesna in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on TVP Info.

20:46

Horała:

The economic interests of the State Treasury and state security have been violated. Given the scale of VAT fraud, this incident should not go without accountability.

Given the scale of fraud, of what was leaking from the budget, the economic interests of the State Treasury and state security have been violated, and this incident should not go without accountability. This is also because it translated into the lives of ordinary Poles” - said Marcin Horała of PiS, head of the parliamentary committee investigating VAT fraud, in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on TVP Info.

The PKW has registered a total of 88 electoral committees. 57 of them are electoral committees of voters, 30 are electoral committees of political parties, and 1 is a coalition electoral committee"
In total, 94 submissions were received by the PKW. The Commission refused registration to five committees, and one was dissolved.

Gawłowski Registers Senate Election Committee

The National Electoral Commission has received notification of the registration of the "Civic Democracy" voters' election committee for the Senate elections. According to 300POLITYKI sources, it is from this committee - number 64 on the National Electoral Commission's list - that Stanisław Gawłowski intends to run for a seat in the upper house of parliament.
