At 3:00 PM in the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda will formally sign the law concerning the provision of social services by social service centers. Later, at 5:15 PM, at Marshal Józef Piłsudski Square in Warsaw, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, will visit the exhibition "Walls of Totalitarianism. Poland 1939-1945."

- The family is one of the most important elements of the Law and Justice electoral program, and during this outgoing term, as well as the next, we will certainly maintain the issue of the 500+ program. This does not change the fact that the area of education, schooling, and kindergartens will be very important in PiS's new electoral program. We will announce the details at the turn of the first and second week of September - said Piotr Müller in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały Dnia" on Polskie Radio Jedynka.

- This is a picture of demoralization, corruption in power. The use of state institutions, state officials, the opportunities provided by working in the Ministry of Justice for a politics of hatred, for smearing judges. I would compare it to what happened in the past. That is, such Bolshevik methods of destroying people. [I see it] as a system, and I see these connections with journalists from this right-wing press, public media, I see this language, very open, offensive from Minister Piebiak. We remember how he lectured us at meetings of the justice committee in the Sejm, how he insulted the opposition, at plenary sessions, when answering interpellations and questions with such contempt towards opposition MPs, lecturing, self-assured, absolutely capable of anything in this ministry – stated Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Jacek Żakowski on TOK FM.

- I am absolutely astonished, because in the normal standards of a Western country, of Western civilization, not Latin America, it's not even about the ministry, the government would have trouble staying in power. If we talk about the standards of Western civilization, these are standards that would absolutely not accept such behavior. And here there would be very broad resignations, and I see that there is simply an escape from responsibility. They think they will survive another day, next week, and the matter will die down and nothing will happen, there will be no consequences – continued the PO chairman.

- It is known that he is the favorite for this. It's a matter of insight and awareness of the opposition parties. Also, in such a situation, they should not field someone against President Kwiatkowski - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in a conversation with Jacek Żakowski on TOK FM. He added:

"I know that talks are ongoing on this matter. There only needs to be confirmation that he indeed confirms his willingness to run. I believe that in such a situation, this is very important, a test of the reliability and awareness of the opposition parties. Then one must withdraw their own candidate, move them to the parliamentary list, and give Kwiatkowski the opportunity to be in the Senate. His experience is indispensable here and will certainly help the opposition. No [I won't fight Kwiatkowski]. I know him too well."

- Based on what we know at this moment, there hasn't really been a breach of the law. It rather looks like an attempt to inspire some unpleasant entries. For now, hate speech is not considered a crime in Poland, and based on the material we have today, it is difficult for me to assume that the law has been violated - said Andrzej Dera in an interview with Paweł Lisicki on Polskie Radio Trójka's "Political Salon".

- The strength of this project, this list, of the Left in these elections is that we are based not on conflict, but on cooperation. Not on an attempt to dominate, but on partnership, and people see and appreciate this. This is something we feel very strongly on the streets and during signature collection, and when we meet people, when we simply go to a press conference and people tell us this is exactly what they value. We have shown that, coming from different backgrounds and being different, we can cooperate, and this is something rarely seen on the Polish political scene - stated Adrian Zandberg in an interview with Marcin Wikło on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour".

- This is not a problem with separating [the roles of Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General]. As a politician, I can consider, so there is no doubt, perhaps creating legal regulations for a prosecutor who would rule solely on matters concerning potential power structures, who would be legally empowered in some way, elected by the public. - There are things that PiS has done well. 500+ is one of those things, but there are things PiS hasn't done. PiS hasn't solved the problems of 'junk contracts' [śmieciówki]. PiS hasn't solved the issue of meager wages in the public sector. Employees who work for the state should be paid decently, and that is not happening today - stated Adrian Zandberg in a conversation with Marcin Wikło on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour".

- We have been doing everything for many weeks to avoid competing on the opposition's side in the Senate elections. We are very consistent in this. I think this is still very probable and possible. On our part, the Civic Coalition, we are very careful not to compete with other opposition candidates. It is important that we fight for victory not only in the Senate but also in the Sejm, but the Senate is very achievable precisely because we are cooperating with other groupings. This must be a good sign for victory and cooperation after the elections in both the Sejm and the Senate. I think this weekend, Monday, Tuesday, will see the finalization of the lists. Certainly from the Civic Coalition's side. There are also positive signals. Yesterday, an agreement was reached in Silesia, in Zagłębie, and also in Łódź. Everything is on the right track - said Grzegorz Schetyna during the collection of signatures for the KO candidate lists.

- Judges use unworthy arguments against each other. Judges are not an extraordinary caste, as one of the prominent representatives of judges in Poland called her environment. Judges cannot be guided by a desire for revenge or retribution, as she said on another occasion. Judges representing neither one nor the other, nor any other side of a very sharp dispute, are not an extraordinary caste. Unfortunately, a dispute that has stirred many emotions regarding the reform of the judiciary. - At the moment, I can announce that we have gathered around half a million signatures nationwide, and as soon as the electoral commissions, the district commissions, are constituted – as far as we know, by Monday at the latest – we will begin registering the lists from Tuesday. We want to present the documents to the district electoral commissions to register the lists, and after registering the lists, we will shift into third gear, meaning we will focus solely on the election campaign, which we want to base on direct contact with Poles, i.e., on meetings in the field, a very large number of meetings. We want to reach every village and every municipality. Both our candidates and our leaders – stated Krzysztof Sobolewski at a press conference. He added that signatures are still being collected.

- This coming Saturday, we also have two regional, district conventions, in Bydgoszcz and Toruń. Next week, there will also be district conventions, as well as the aforementioned field meetings, and we are proceeding with the registration of candidate lists - stated Krzysztof Sobolewski at a press conference.

- I always say one thing. Elections are the true and only poll. We don't look at whether there's this or that poll right now. Moreover, if we are to be objective, there have been polls that predicted victory for some candidates in the first round with a clear advantage. Later, it turned out the result was completely different. That's why we don't attach importance to polls. The only and true poll for us has always been elections and the verdict of the voters - stated Krzysztof Sobolewski at a press conference, when asked about today's Kantar poll for TVN.

- We assumed this and hope it succeeds, that the leader [Jarosław Kaczyński] will be in every constituency [during the election campaign] - stated Krzysztof Sobolewski at a press conference.

- Our intervention [at the Ministry of Justice] concerns the so-called 'hater affair,' the affair of former Deputy Minister Piebiak, or more precisely, actions that are absolutely, in our assessment, against the law. Provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act have been violated, as well as many provisions of the Penal Code, including abuse of power, persistent harassment, and sowing hatred. This is an absolutely scandalous situation. An affair linked to an attempt to discredit judges, defiant judges, using state apparatus, an attempt to destroy their personal lives, reminds us of the darkest times of the 1950s. Perhaps such phenomena are tolerated in Belarus or in Putin's Russia, but they cannot be tolerated in a democratic state, in a democratic rule of law state that is a member of the EU. This situation shows the rot within the state apparatus, it shows the pathology of this state. We cannot agree to such actions functioning in the heart of Europe in the 21st century. We will meticulously examine all documents pertaining to this entire affair – stated Mariusz Witczak at a press conference in front of the Ministry of Justice. As he announced, a meeting with Deputy Minister Wójcik is scheduled for 3:30 PM, and the conversation is to concern, among other things, the ministry's budget.

- The resignation of Minister Piebiak does not end this affair, the sowing of hatred, the discrediting of people, or the attempt to destroy the private lives of some judges in Poland in any way. This affair must be explained very precisely, and we will meticulously investigate and analyze every issue because Poland, Polish women and Polish men deserve normal states and a functioning state apparatus – added the Civic Platform MP.

- Today, as opposition MPs, we demand full access to the documentation held within this ministry. Poles have the right to know the background of Minister Piebiak's resignation. Whether he entered this building [Ministry of Justice] since his resignation, whether he had contact with his work phone, computer, because the questions appearing in the public sphere, suggesting that evidence of this entire affair may have already been tampered with or erased, remain unanswered by the ministry. We demand information regarding civil-law contracts, because as we know, Emilia - that is the name of the Twitter account - was financed, both formally and informally, likely with funds from the Ministry of Justice. We demand information about the entry and exit logs, to ascertain whether Minister Piebiak entered the ministry after submitting his resignation, and also whether she, or her husband, who we know allegedly mediated the transfer of funds, frequently visited the ministry, perhaps to discuss specific actions with the ministry's leadership. There are hundreds of questions, and so far, no answers - stated Arkadiusz Myrcha at a press conference in front of the Ministry of Justice.

- We have submitted a document to the ministry containing a list of the documents we are requesting. We were told by employees that these documents will be prepared immediately. We believe in the good intentions of the employees working in this department - added the Civic Platform MP.

The Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General, Zbigniew Ziobro, has appealed to the National Council of the Judiciary to prepare a code of ethics that will regulate the behavior of judges on social media platforms. The initiative aims to cleanse the judicial community of conduct unbecoming of representatives of the judiciary.

- The position of a judge is a great privilege, but it also comes with limitations. One of these should be the principle of particular restraint in the use of social media - emphasizes Zbigniew Ziobro.

The Minister is convinced that the National Council of the Judiciary is the appropriate body to develop a special ethical code, in cooperation with judges themselves and all legal communities. In Zbigniew Ziobro's assessment, the code should include regulations expected by society that will counteract judges violating the principle of impartiality and political neutrality. Ethical principles, as the minister believes, cannot permit judges to engage anonymously on social media and comment on judgments, including their own. Citizens also expect judges not to use hateful language, not to use profanity, not to publish obscene photos, and not to cross the boundaries of good taste.

- The Minister of Justice's proposal is related to the need to regulate the situation within the judicial community. This includes both the fact that some judges, who until now worked at the Ministry of Justice, have confused the roles they were appointed to, as well as numerous instances of statements with the character of political manifestos. Examples of such conduct by judges include comparing the work of the CBA to Stalinist methods, equating the leader of PiS, Jarosław Kaczyński, to Adolf Hitler, calling for revenge on judges involved in the judicial reform, threatening candidates for the Supreme Court that they will be held accountable for an 'attack on the state,' or offering on Twitter - to a person claiming to be a well-known journalist - help in combating one of the political parties - it was stated in the announcement.

- One gets the feeling that the minister essentially believes that since Mr. Piebiak resigned, the responsible official, using various word games, is trying to say the matter is closed. However, he is unable to answer the basic questions posed during the inspection. There is no willingness to show documents - said Joanna Augustynowska after a meeting with Michał Wójcik at the Ministry of Justice.

- I want to say that a very strong agriculture is in Poland's interest. Strong agriculture, a strong Polish countryside is a Polish national interest, and I will do everything, the government which I have the honor to lead, will do everything to create the best possible conditions for farmers – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Miedźno.

- For us, farmers are that professional group, but also those producers, to whom we direct the greatest support. Please compare the support over the last 3-4 years, through various insurance programs, but also subsidies; social programs have come to the countryside. It is precisely the countryside that benefits from this the most - said Mateusz Morawiecki during a visit to Miedźna.

- The programmatic points that united us [with Kukiz'15]. The systemic change in Poland that needs to be made. Returning power to the hands of the citizens, this is also a return to our roots. - This case will not be effective, efficient for one, simple reason. – The difference between those recordings [in "Sowa & Przyjaciele"] and the correspondence on Onet is that they [the individuals in the recordings] flapped their jaws over dinner, with a glass of wine. These people didn't just talk, they acted. Anyone can see that – stated Tomasz Nałęcz in a conversation with Piotr Witwicki on the Polsat News program "Wydarzenia i Opinie".

- Every normal person asks themselves the question. Well, how is it? Why isn't the Prime Minister holding Mr. Ziobro accountable? The situation is very simple. Either he is an incompetent fool who didn't know what his right-hand man was doing in the ministry, in which case he should be dismissed, or he knew, and all the more reason he should be dismissed - said Tomasz Nałęcz in a conversation with Piotr Witwicki on the program 'Wydarzenia i Opinie' on Polsat News.

- There are people deeply interested in me stepping down from my current position, but I will always act with principle and consistency, regardless of their dislike, because the safety of Poles is paramount to me - stated Zbigniew Ziobro in an interview with Michał Adamczyk on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".  

- This is quite telling, because it raises the question of how Ms. Gersdorf will explain the fact that public, well-known circumstances, and evidence revealed in the media, related to suspicions that one Supreme Court judge, who also happens to be the head of one of its departments, the civil department, allegedly wrote an appeal for a client, which he and his colleagues could later consider in the same court. There was a significant amount of money involved. In these recordings, one can hear about a trip to Thailand and about teenagers who are allegedly used for purposes below the age of consent; I will not elaborate. These are behaviors that defy ethics, but also raise suspicions of criminal offenses, and Ms. Gersdorf is not bothered by this fact in the slightest. After all, she was functioning, she spoke with these people, and she considered everything to be in order. This demonstrates double standards. In short, there is a very serious problem, in my opinion, within a part of the judicial community regarding their approach to ethics. With our own conduct, our reaction to what has happened, we also demonstrate high standards and, I hope, certain role models. Unfortunately, Ms. Gersdorf did not react in this way, and for that, she should lose her position, but unfortunately, there is no such accountability, and she herself does not feel accountable because she is self-critical and apparently belongs to the so-called extraordinary caste, which can do more. - stated Zbigniew Ziobro in an interview with Michał Adamczyk on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".
