Today - the last day of the campaign for the European Parliament elections - candidates from all political groups will be summarizing their campaigns with numerous press conferences across the country. A list of those we have received is provided below. The PiS headquarters is expected to make a decision regarding specific actions this morning.

- "I invite everyone to a headquarters meeting at **9:00 AM** for all of you, all voivodes - the Małopolska, Silesian, Subcarpathian, and Świętokrzyskie voivodes, in connection with the predicted peak flood waves tonight," announced Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki yesterday.

Today, the Polish government will file a complaint with the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) against ACTA2, as announced by Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Gliński. "These regulations threaten freedom on the internet, they are contrary to fundamental values on the internet, to freedom of speech," stated the Minister of Culture.

At **9:00 AM**, the Senate will convene, with politicians primarily focusing on amendments to the Criminal Code. Yesterday, during a committee session, senators, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, submitted 30 amendments to the bill approved by the Sejm.

At **3:00 PM**, the National Electoral Commission (PKW) and the National Electoral Office (Krajowe Biuro Wyborcze) will hold a press conference on election preparations. At **midnight**, an election silence will begin nationwide.

- We are indeed facing a bad situation that could bring even graver consequences than so far. It must be fought. The state is fighting it. All services, people, citizens who are threatened, but also those who are not threatened, who are helping, are fighting it. And mocking the fact that people holding leading public positions are engaging in this, some campaigning for days, and some not campaigning, not resigning from their campaigns, but simply attending to what they should be attending to, is simply a scandal. But it also shows the way of thinking, the attitude towards society, towards human interests, human life, even though, thank goodness, there have been no fatalities so far. This is the attitude of Civic Platform, because it seems to me that Mr. Schetyna somehow expresses a broader view of his party, although there may be people there who are not so detached from society and do not so much despise ordinary people, because this is also an expression of such a very deep contempt - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1, when asked about Grzegorz Schetyna's words regarding the floods.

- One could say that [Grzegorz Schetyna] went a few steps further [than Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz], that at this moment Mr. Cimoszewicz is in second place here, and Mr. Schetyna is first. - Well, Civic Platform is what it is. „There is no shadow of a doubt that what has been a policy pursued with short breaks, these breaks being our governments, since 1990, that is a deeply anti-social policy, they would not have broken away from it, they would have returned to it. This policy has led to the share of net wages in Polish GDP being roughly at the level of 33%, and that is very little. There are countries where this exceeds 50%” - said Jarosław Kaczyński, the leader of Law and Justice, on Radio Jedynka.

- It's a formation, to put it mildly, pro-Russian. We are a pro-Western formation. Setting aside other characteristics of this formation, this pro-Russian stance is evident, one could say transparent - said Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Jedynka radio.

- Do you definitively rule out the possibility of a coalition? - Gójska asked.

- Yes, of course - replied the PiS chairman.

– In short, we are dealing here with oikophobia, a dislike or even hatred for one's own homeland. What it stems from, well, in Mr. Cimoszewicz's case, I think it's easy to explain, but I won't elaborate on this topic; it's always a difficult matter to pass certain things down from father to son – said Jarosław Kaczyński in a conversation with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Radio Jedynka.

- It seems to me that for those formations which have united against us today, such a peripheral Poland, a Poland that is in essence a resource of cheaper labour, where lower-quality goods can be sold, meaning a Poland that can be exploited in various ways, is an acceptable Poland under one condition: that they rule here, that they are a privileged group, that they smoke their very expensive cigars, drink very good wines, and conduct various affairs through various acquaintances and friends. Everything must be done to ensure this never happens in Poland again – said Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały dnia" on Jedynka radio.

- Hand on my heart: these are the most important European Parliament elections in the history of our membership, and I have participated in several of them. I was an MEP, and also its Vice-President, and I can say that there haven't been more important elections before. And because of what is happening in Europe, Europe is experiencing various crises: institutional, manifested by Brexit; financial, which is still smoldering in the Eurozone, especially in Italy; and the migration crisis, which perhaps is no longer on the front pages of newspapers, but Europe still has a problem with protecting its external borders and with illegal immigration. These elections are also important for domestic, Polish reasons, because the European Coalition, by joining forces against us, saying frankly: we are not united by a common program, but by the desire to remove PiS, the United Right, from power, has in a way transformed these European elections into the first round of elections for the Sejm and the Senate. Whoever wins the European elections will have, in Formula 1 terms, pole position. They will be in a privileged position in the campaign for the Sejm and Senate. The loser, in turn, will find it very difficult to recover from this defeat and win the elections. So, who wins on Sunday will likely determine who will govern in the fall - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Siódma9 Morning.

- A victory for the European Coalition means a resignation from any programs. For the first time since 1989, a camp is entering elections that shamelessly states it has no program. The European Coalition's only program is the desire to return to power - said Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- We'll see how it looks in September. Isn't it the case that today this situation in some places is being artificially generated by local authorities for the needs of an election campaign? There are many places in Poland where these kinds of problems don't exist. It's been known for at least three years that there would be this double cohort, and local authorities had time to prepare for it. When I spoke with the youngest mayor in Poland, Jakub Banaszek of Chełm, he said that in Chełm there are no problems whatsoever. These kinds of problems also don't exist here in Małopolska. I get the impression that in Warsaw, local authorities didn't rise to the occasion - Jarosław Gowin said in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on Polsat News's "Graffiti" program.

- According to estimates, the PiS delegation will most likely be the third largest party delegation in this new European Parliament, right after the league from Italy and Chancellor Merkel's EPP. We will be on the podium, among the three largest party delegations. Truly, with 25-30 MPs, one can decide many important votes in the EP - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Poranek Siódma9.

- Our minimum plan is, of course, to improve the result in terms of the number of seats from 5 years ago. Back then, PiS won 19 seats. I am counting on us having a two at the front this time and having at least 20 seats - he added.

- Important things are happening in recent days and hours. Here, in Podkarpacie, Małopolska, and Silesia, in an increasing number of places, there is a danger of flooding. There are already inundations and damage to municipal property. Yesterday, we consulted, we had a meeting in the evening with local government officials. We are consulting on how we can help, get involved in this matter, present a plan that could temporarily salvage the situation, but also prepare a kind of solidarity action, help for those who need it, and in the long term, of course, what is our good experience, which is the fight against disasters and natural elements in the years 2007-2015. Cooperation between central government administration and local governments. The capabilities of the Fire Brigade, cooperation at the level of the State Fire Service and Volunteer Fire Brigades. We did all of this in the PSL and PO coalition and we have good experiences. Today, we see a lot of chaos, we see here a campaign being conducted by PiS candidates for the European Parliament, including the Prime Minister. This is not a campaign issue. Here, we really need to help, to have an idea for good coordination of all activities - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a briefing in Krosno.

- Bad weather forecasts show, they warn that there may be more consequences of this situation. That is why we are speaking here today, and we will present it in detail, we will talk with local authorities, local government officials in Kazimierza, where the town is already flooded, where the market square was flooded yesterday. This is Kazimierza Wielka in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. There we want to call and we will call today, this is an action in which local government officials from all over the country must get involved. We want solidarity aid, solidarity involvement from all local governments. We need to help the flooded areas, the residents, just as we did two years ago during the storms. Solidarity is needed, and we are talking about this solidarity, we will talk about it at all our meetings - added the PO chairman.

"We wanted to say that the President deceived us when he came to us on the second day in the Sejm. Yes, a year ago, when people with disabilities, their caregivers, and their parents protested for 40 days, because we will never forget such memorable words from President Andrzej Duda, who told us in a closed room in the Sejm: 'Dear mothers, you can go home now, because I will take care of this matter.' And what turns out – that after four days the President changed his mind, Mr. Kolarski no longer answered the phones. Meanwhile, for us, it was very... We thought it would be an agreement. It looked like an agreement because even then the President knew what we wanted – to start by, because we wanted to show that to start with, to add that 500 PLN to... There was one point written: 500 PLN for life added to social benefits. That is, so that the disabled person is secured and this amount is annually indexed" – said Iwona Hartwich in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- Wiosna stands with women. We have announced a constitution for women, and in the European Parliament, we will fight for a European Charter of Women's Rights. We will introduce changes. We are the change. We have had enough and we declare our disobedience - said Sylwia Spurek during a press conference.

- Vote for women's rights. For the rights of mothers and non-mothers. For us and for our mothers. Instead of flowers, let's give them equal rights. We are the change. Vote for women's rights, vote for Wiosna - Spurek added.

„United Right is a good direction. This is a moment where we have two days until the election. On Sunday, you will be voting. We will be making a choice. Either a united European Coalition and a weak state, or United Right and a strong state. OECD data shows that thanks to the United Right's governance, Poland will develop. Our economy will be one of the best in the world, and this quarter it is one of the best in the EU. This is not a coincidence. It is the result of our very hard work when it comes to strengthening the state, the justice system, and many other things” - said Deputy Minister and EP candidate Patryk Jaki at a press conference.

"There are also cultural issues. In recent hours, PO-KO leaders have been mocking topics related to floods and natural disasters. This cannot be done. On one hand, you have government representatives doing everything they can to save people's property, and on the other hand, opposition representatives suggesting it's laughable. Everyone should do as much as they can in their own area. Every day, I will delegate Prison Service employees and inmates to help on the dikes" – stated Deputy Minister and ZP candidate for the European Parliament, Patryk Jaki, at a press conference.

The Polish government has formally challenged the controversial ACTA2 directive (Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market) before the Court of Justice of the European Union (ECJ).

The decision, announced by the Ministry of Justice, marks a significant move by Poland in its opposition to the directive, which critics argue could lead to censorship and restrict internet freedom.

Poland's legal challenge is based on concerns that ACTA2 infringes upon fundamental rights, including freedom of expression and the right to privacy. The government has argued that certain provisions of the directive could disproportionately impact users and content creators online.

The Ministry of Justice stated that Poland aims to defend the principles of a free and open internet and to prevent the implementation of legislation that could undermine these principles.

This action by Poland is part of a broader debate across the European Union regarding the balance between copyright protection and online freedoms. While proponents of ACTA2 argue it is necessary to protect the rights of creators and combat illegal content, opponents fear its potential for overreach and unintended consequences.

- What is happening, the floods, the destroyed buildings, we see what is behind us. We are here with President Trzaskowski, President Wenta to say that we will get involved, we will prepare a solidarity action of Polish local governments, cities, and voivodeships to help. Kazimierza Wielka is today a symbol of a town defending itself against the flood, the elements. It is worth doing a lot to think about what can be done today in the perspective when the water recedes - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a briefing in Kazimierza Wielka.

- Poland must be united, local government must be united. That is why we declare such support and today we will talk with the presidents - emphasized the PO chairman.

- This [Kantar poll for TVN] only confirms that everything is neck and neck, that every single vote will be important, and that it will all be decided at the very finish line. I am glad that there is a great chance for victory. It's a matter of mobilization, of being present at the polls. I am confident that this campaign is being run well by us and will bring success. I am an optimist and I only ask for your presence at the polls on [May] 26th, because it will be a very important day for Poland - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a briefing in Kazimierza Wielka.

„I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the overnight operation in Krakow related to the new bridge under construction, especially for the readiness of the police, military, and fire brigade. The removal of floating obstacles, we don’t know what would have happened had they not been removed in the context of the bridge being built” – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated during a crisis staff meeting in Krakow – „Thank you for the coordination of work between the services, for the professional efforts which are largely preventative in nature. I am convinced that many tragedies have been avoided. However, just as we cannot predict the elements, we have also been unable to avoid many misfortunes. There are thousands of flooded homes, hundreds of evacuated people, and we must also address the consequences of this flood situation”. 

– We bring freshness, openness, novelty, European-ness. This is everything that has been missing in Polish politics for years. And we are ending the Polish-Polish war. Here, symbolically, in front of the Sejm, we would like to hang this sign to show that if we don't seize this opportunity that Sunday's elections offer us, the next chance to vote for the European Parliament and choose something new, fresh, open, European, will be in five years. Either on Sunday, or in five years. Let's seize this moment, let's vote for Wiosna – said Robert Biedroń during a press conference in front of the Sejm. 

- There are two offers, and I would like to summarize them. One offer is the European Coalition, the second is the United Right. It is very important that we do not concentrate on minor issues or PR stunts, but rather focus on what is the crux of the elections. Will we choose the European Coalition, and Poland will become, as it was during the Civic Platform era, a nice prize to be plundered by various criminal groups, as we saw in the VAT cases, or the United Right, and we will build a strong state. According to the OECD, Poland is currently, and will be for the coming years, one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. This is the real choice we face - stated Patryk Jaki at a press conference.

- I am convinced that if the European Coalition were to win these elections, it could build an atmosphere of victory in the parliamentary elections, which I strongly advise you against. Why? Because it is such that Civic Platform and the entire European Coalition will, in my opinion, abolish social programs. Even if they did not want to do so, they would have to abolish the social programs that the United Right government has prepared, because they do not know how to govern - added the Deputy Minister of Justice and a candidate for the European Parliament. 

"The situation we are facing today in Poland, which is of course the flood, the threat to many people, families, and households, due to the fact that many people have already suffered losses, that all of this must be countered, we have decided that our election convention planned for today in one of the municipalities of Mazovia is being cancelled. We believe that this convention would be inappropriate in this situation. Public attention, and this is completely understandable, is focused on this situation I have mentioned. The authorities, government representatives led by the Prime Minister, are directing the direct action aimed at limiting losses, and where possible, eliminating them altogether. This is what is most important in Poland today," said party leader Jarosław Kaczyński.

"I am deeply convinced that after Grzegorz Schetyna's statement yesterday, the word 'apologize' should have come from his lips, because what he said expressed not an attitude towards PiS, but an attitude towards society, towards people who found themselves in a state of threat. This is an expression of a radical lack of solidarity, a lack of empathy, or something more, which is why this 'apology' is very much needed today" - said party leader Jarosław Kaczyński.

As emphasized by the ruling party's strategists in a conversation with 300POLITYKĄ, PiS wants to create a contrast between themselves and the European Coalition in this way. Our interlocutors also draw attention to clips supporting candidates featuring Grzegorz Schetyna and Rafał Trzaskowski, which were allegedly recorded in flooded areas.

- We have managed to unite the opposition. We have established the European Coalition with many parties that support us, but each of us was and is convinced that it is precisely on the basis of trust, a belief that we can win together, that we could build such a broad coalition, and we have succeeded in doing so. I am glad we are here, with Chairman Czarzasty. He is not physically with us, but he supports us. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz is in Małopolska, as is the Green Party, Nowoczesna, and many people of good will who know that through cooperation and the common project of the European Coalition, we have a chance to win these elections. Recent polls indicate that everything is neck and neck, that hundreds, perhaps tens of votes, will decide. Therefore, we earnestly ask for your reliable presence at the polling stations on May 26th - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a press conference in Sosnowiec.

- I observe with great regret what PO politicians are doing today. That is, they went to the embankments to hold their campaign rallies. It's disgraceful, but it seems they probably sought advice from Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, who had good advice for people struggling to protect their life's achievements, namely to get insurance - stated Patryk Jaki at a press conference in Tarnów.

- Today, I appeal to everyone to vote, with mobilization like during the last local elections. The European Coalition's list is diverse enough that everyone will find their candidate there. I, of course, strongly urge you to vote for number 7 on list number three of the European Coalition - stated Paweł Pudłowski at a press briefing in Warsaw.

- I would also like to raise another issue: often after elections, we witness sad scenes, we see defaced posters, election banners that litter our streets. Let's clean up after ourselves. It is the duty of election committees, but let's not wait until the last moment. I remind you that election committees are obliged to remove posters, slogans, and other advertising devices used for campaigning during local elections within 30 days after election day - added the MEP candidate.

On Sunday, we will elect 52 Members of Parliament. Due to the United Kingdom's ongoing process of leaving the European Union, only 51 elected Members will take office. The 52nd Member will assume the role of an MEP once the United Kingdom definitively withdraws from the Union. A total of 29,994,623 voters are eligible to participate in the vote,” stated Vice-President of the National Electoral Commission, Judge Wiesław Kozielewicz, during a press conference.

The number of certificates issued for voting is interesting, as in our opinion, it indicates that interest in the European Parliament elections is greater than it was 5 or 10 years ago. As of today, 2:00 PM, 118,763 certificates of entitlement to vote have been issued across Poland. For comparison, in 2014, 50,704 voters cast their ballots based on a certificate, meaning twice as many people have now obtained a certificate of entitlement to vote. In the 2015 Sejm elections, the number of voters who voted based on a certificate of entitlement to vote was 145,702,” he added.

- Every vote for the European Coalition is a vote for Poland's presence in Europe, for Poland's success in Europe, for a larger budget, a better position, for victory. And nowhere, perhaps, do we believe in this victory as strongly as in Greater Poland. We are optimists ahead of these elections. We have done hard work, and for that, I want to thank everyone – stated Grzegorz Schetyna at a press conference in Leszno.

- It's a situation where the current coalition, which includes the PSL, is not just a left-wing coalition, but rather a "leftist" one. By deciding to participate in this coalition, the PSL has shifted so far to the left that its claimed tradition can no longer be taken seriously - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Marian Widelski on TV Trwam.

"In this campaign, very important issues are emerging, such as healthcare, the European healthcare program proposed by the European Coalition, agriculture, and matters concerning the conditions for Polish entrepreneurs. These are issues decided within the European Union, which is why it's important to elect a strong team to the European Parliament and vote for KE candidates who have experience in securing funds and convincing the European community that our ideas and programs are the best," said the leader of Nowoczesna, Katarzyna Lubnauer, in Leszno.

„May 26th will be the beginning of the end for PiS. On May 26th, we will fulfill some of our dreams that we had while protesting against this bad, undemocratic government. It's the dream of many women who participated in the protests, representatives of various professions, teachers, people with disabilities, that finally things will be decent, and finally, for all of us, defenders of democracy and the constitution, it can begin to come true on May 26th. This is a historic opportunity to try and rebuild a normal, honest, law-abiding, and united Poland. - I'll let you in on a secret. I'm seriously considering changing the name of the parliamentary club after these elections to Kukiz Direct Democracy, because I'd like to show what I'm about in this way. Even in the name. Direct Democracy. - It's also about a certain attitude and words. If someone goes so far as to criticize those who come to the scene in an act of solidarity, calling it a cabaret and self-promotion, while doing the same themselves, then frankly, it puts such a person in a rather strange light - said Konstanty Radziwiłł in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Wydarzenia i Opinie" (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

- MP Kruk was in what I believe was a firefighter outfit, and that was Schetyna's reference to 'cabaret,' because dressing up in the uniform of an important service during an event like a flood is already quite unserious – said Michał Boni in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program “Wydarzenia i Opinie” on Polsat News.

„We want to be an important part of the European Union; Poland is a key element of the European Union. Our attitude towards the EU and our relations formed the foundation for our success in establishing the European Coalition” – said PO chairman Grzegorz Schetyna in Zgorzelec at the final press conference of the election campaign.

- It is extremely inappropriate, it is scandalous [Grzegorz Schetyna's remarks about cabaret]. It expresses not something else, but simply contempt for the common person. This is not the first time, considering the history of this information. It started with the 'moher berets' [a derogatory term for older, conservative women]. This attitude towards society, ordinary human affairs, and human misfortune persists, and it is very disturbing - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Danuta Holecka on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

- They are deceiving, because I won't be using any milder words here anymore. They are deceiving public opinion, they are deceiving voters, because they truly know that a great many Poles do not accept these kinds of solutions, they don't want to hear about it. On the other hand, they feel obligated, for various reasons, including external ones, to introduce such solutions – said Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Danuta Holecka on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości" program.

- This is a matter of Polish foreign policy, of security, which is succeeding. It concerns the alliance with the United States and strengthening our armed forces. It's about ensuring Poland isn't a client state, which is a very low status. - I repeat what I said. Under no circumstances will we pay for German crimes, and the very demand for this is a scandal. Cimoszewicz's statement here confirms this thesis. In autumn, there's a chance for victory, for defeating the ruling party, for creating a new, better Poland, where we will be able to implement programs for healthcare, agriculture, and entrepreneurs. All of this we can create only because you, the citizens, will give us your vote. Therefore, I appeal to everyone for mobilization" - said the leader of Nowoczesna (Modern) Katarzyna Lubnauer in Zgorzelec at the last press conference of the election campaign.

“May 26th will be a day of great choice. Is Poland heading towards democracy, openness, a friendly state, built on the foundations of democracy, respect, and social justice, or are we heading towards authoritarianism, the East, exclusion, and contempt. The last six months have been a spectacle of these exclusions and contempt” - said Barbara Nowacka, the leader of Inicjatywa Polska, in Zgorzelec at her final campaign conference.

“I no longer want to see education and the forest being ruined, or the towers erected in the delusions of chairmen. I want to see an open Poland, open to the West” - she added.
