Also scheduled for today, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) has planned an additional hearing in a preliminary ruling case. This case concerns, among other things, the ability of the new National Judicial Council (KRS) to fulfill its constitutional task of safeguarding judicial independence. As emphasized by the CJEU's press services, the hearing, which took place on March 19th before the Grand Chamber of the Court, will be continued following the KRS's request at 9:00 AM.

- I haven't [watched the Sekielski brothers' film]. I am conducting an election campaign for the European Parliament. I travel around the voivodeship every day, so I'm mainly listening to the radio at the moment. I'll surprise you, voters aren't asking about this film. These are matters that require the prosecutor's office, settlements, because these are – from what I hear on the radio – described cases that fall under the penal code and should be resolved that way - stated Witold Waszczykowski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- Since I heard yesterday that the prosecutor, Minister Ziobro, has taken up this matter, I assume it will be resolved in accordance with Polish law - he added.

- I believe that if someone truly had a serious interest in making this an issue that would explain some pathological phenomenon occurring [in the Church], they would have done it not during the election campaign, but after the election campaign, when there is calm and time for it, not at this moment when various suspicions are arising about this matter. In two weeks, the campaign will end, and there will be several months to calmly consider the issue – stated Witold Waszczykowski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- There are no 'Jewish claims' because the State of Israel is not sending any claims towards Poland, nor is the Jewish diaspora making any material claims towards Poland. We are dealing with such soft lobbying to indeed legally settle the issue of property restitution. We do not have this settled by law because the bill was vetoed by President Kwaśniewski, while the possibilities of seeking property restitution exist on an individual basis. Anyone who has the ability to document that they lost such property during the war or after the war has the right to pursue it through the courts – stated Witold Waszczykowski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

„We knew this problem existed, but seeing the people affected by this tragedy, the victims who have to live with the memory of this experience their entire lives, is dramatic, shocking. I hope there will be reflection in the Polish Church, because today, saying that this is a document aimed against the Church – I don't approach it that way. There is a chance to seriously address this problem” – said PSL Vice-Chairman Adam Jarubas in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

"Scandalous statements denying the problem, like 'I don't watch just anything,' should certainly not be made. The day before yesterday, one of the archbishops made such a statement. He should be reprimanded by the Pope, perhaps even consider resignation," said PSL Vice-Chairman Adam Jarubas in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

"Today, Jarosław Kaczyński, as the leader of the United Right camp, is imposing a religious war on us, and also dragging the Church into the election campaign. He himself once said that the road to the de-Christianization of Poland leads through ZChN. Today, it can be said that the road to the de-Christianization of Poland leads through PiS. Involving issues, inciting hatred against people of other sexual orientations, LGBT, refugees – this is breaking up the community, undermining the fundamental, communal message of the Catholic Church, with the shameful use of public media," said PSL Vice-Chairman Adam Jarubas in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

The environmental organization Greenpeace has hung large banners on the headquarters of the Law and Justice (PiS) and Civic Platform (PO) parties. The banners read: "Poland must leave coal by 2030." This action is a direct appeal to the two largest political forces in Poland to accelerate the country's energy transition away from fossil fuels.

The banners were unfurled on the buildings of PiS, the ruling party, and PO, the main opposition party, symbolizing that the issue of coal phase-out is a matter of national importance that transcends political divisions.

- The first arrest has occurred following the screening of the Sekielski brothers' film 'Only Don't Tell Anyone'. We were awaiting a reaction from state authorities, and we got it. The projector was arrested. Not the perpetrators of pedophilia, not the people the victims spoke about, but the projector. This is what today's state looks like. The Polish state is not functioning. Mr. President Kaczyński, are episcopal curias territories excluded from Polish jurisdiction? Are curias extraterritorial, or do bishops have diplomatic immunity? Why today, three days after the film screening, has the police not knocked on the doors of the perpetrators of crimes whose names and surnames we know? Why have they not been arrested? – stated Robert Biedroń at a briefing. - We demand an explanation as to who made the decision to prevent the screening of this film. At whose request, are bishops involved in this, did the Warsaw-Praga Archdiocese Curia demand intervention in this matter, who made the decisions, on what basis, since we know that the police stated that there was an attempt to show the film, not the showing of the film. The film was not ultimately shown – he added.

We live in a very strange Poland, where not far from here, a woman who shouted 'Constitution' was not arrested, while a PiS member who hit her in the face was. We live in a country where the police do not react when women block fascist marches, are beaten, and spat upon. „The state of Wiadomości compromises the entire public television. An internal report on Wiadomości, commissioned by TVP itself, to which we have access, unequivocally states that it is the most manipulative television. It is pure manipulation in its purest form. This is stated by a report from an independent institution” - said the leader of Nowoczesna, Katarzyna Lubnauer, in an interview with Krzysztof Ziemiec on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour".

„I agree with Krzysztof Mieszkowski, who said that Ms. Holecka should resign. After every program in which she compares Tusk to Hitler and Stalin, and Leszek Jażdżewski to the [perpetrators] of Popiełuszko's death, she should consider what she is still doing there” - she added.

'Regarding Grzegorz Schetyna's specific proposal that [pedophilia] cases should not be subject to the statute of limitations, it is one of the proposals worth considering,' stated Jarosław Gowin in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on 'Salon Polityczny Trójki'.

“If you want to change something, you need to look for allies. In this sense, you always need to look for politicians who share your views, not to decide who has or doesn't have the moral right. Ms. Scheuring-Wielgus, I have the impression, decided to appropriate a topic that is currently a national topic. It already has 11 million views on YouTube. This means it's a major nationwide debate. Michał Krupiński, CEO of Bank Pekao S.A., stated on the American television channel Bloomberg TV that if banks want to remain competitive, they should undergo digital transformation. According to him, the entire European banking sector is currently experiencing its biggest transformation in over a hundred years. Banks must adapt to the changing needs of the market and customers – also through mergers and acquisitions. In Michał Krupiński's opinion, Europe lacks large-scale mergers, and European banks are not leveraging the potential of M&A. According to the CEO of Bank Pekao, billions of dollars need to be spent to try and adapt not only to other banks but also to the big four tech companies (GAFA). For the industry to develop and be competitive, we should see more transactions in Europe, including international ones.  As Michał Krupiński emphasized, Bank Pekao is developing thanks to a consistently implemented digital transformation strategy. It is already very advanced in terms of mobile banking. Last year, PeoPay was recognized as the best innovation in the world. Recently, it has become the first application in Poland to allow account opening via selfie.  According to the CEO of Bank Pekao, the entire European banking sector is currently undergoing its biggest transformation in over 100 years. Michał Krupiński noted that digitalization is the direction Bank Pekao intends to pursue. Bloomberg TV journalists also inquired about the reasons for the poorer condition of European banks. In Michał Krupiński's view, negative interest rates in the Eurozone should not be treated as an excuse and are not the sole reason for this situation. Other issues include regulatory bodies pressuring banks to divest NPLs (non-performing loans) and very high taxes. As the CEO of Bank Pekao stressed, banks need to realize that competition will grow not only from other banks but also from technology giants. The discussion also covered the potential for the development of a banking union in Europe. According to Michał Krupiński, banks should focus on digital development. In his assessment, Europe needs strong investment banks and remains a very large base for the sector, with European companies being among the most international firms globally. On the Council of Ministers, we adopted a comprehensive amendment to the criminal code, which provides for an increase in the upper limit of sentences from 25 to 30 years. Will the opposition abstain from voting again, as happened with the pedophile registry?

- The fundamental assumption underlying our work on the Penal Code was the need, the necessity of legal and criminal protection for actions that harm such fundamental legal goods as human life and health, and sexual freedoms. All of this is reflected there. It is also obvious to our government that criminal law must serve to satisfy the need for social security - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

- It cannot be the case that there is effectively a separation between the severity of the punishment and its inevitability, because until now we have very often dealt with situations where the punishment was, on the one hand, quite noticeable, but not inevitable. Decisions were made with suspended sentences. The punishment must be very just. Courts have too often issued suspended sentences in dramatic situations - added PMM.

- Every degenerate, disgusting, cruel, bestial crime, social behavior, including pedophilia, will be very severely stigmatized, even more so than it is currently in the Penal Code - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM). - The crime of pedophilia should not allow for suspended sentences. This is a very strong conviction that we also want to implement within the framework of legislation - he added.

"It so happens that both the period of office... There is no such thing as an ex officio interrogation. An interrogation relates to the subject matter of the case. In my opinion, and in the opinion of most MPs I have spoken to, the CBA thread is reasonably well investigated, while there are other threads that still await investigation. I would like to point out that among the witnesses who do not yet have scheduled dates, on this 'reserve list' there are also PO politicians, so there is no political key here, only a substantive one." - said the chairman of the committee on VAT fraud, Marcin Horała, when asked about the date of Mariusz Kamiński's hearing.

"Since I became Minister of Justice, I have taken decisive action to combat child abuse crime. The manifestation of this is not only the actions of the prosecution, the investigations that are being conducted, the guidelines that I have issued in this regard, but also changes in the law that have been adopted by the government and subsequently by parliament. It was on our initiative that the groundbreaking register of pedophiles was adopted, which consists of two parts: a public one, which includes the most dangerous pedophiles, and one that concerns other perpetrators, who, thanks to their personal data being included, are much more widely available to those who care for children" - said Minister Zbigniew Ziobro at a press conference.

- We want to submit another motion to remove Mr. Piotrowicz from the position of head of the justice committee during this session. At the same time, we will also send a letter with such a request to Deputy Marshal Terlecki, the head of the PiS parliamentary group. We will do this for obvious reasons. We cannot send such a letter to Marshal Kuchciński, and a letter addressed to Piotrowicz will likely yield results unexpected by us. We are doing this because we are consistent and unyielding in such actions - stated Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz during a briefing in the Sejm.

- PiS completely disregards the crime of pedophilia. Jarosław Kaczyński absolutely does not care about the fight against pedophilia, and announcements regarding increased penalties for pedophilia are merely election slogans thrown out of fear of public reaction following the Sekielski brothers' film. PiS politicians are solely concerned with the consequences for their support, not with the victims of pedophilia - said the Civic Platform-KO MP.

- I will remind you about the pedophile registry, which was proposed by Minister Ziobro. What was the vote in the Sejm? Well, the vast majority of Civic Platform MPs did not vote for this registry, they abstained from voting. This means that we always recognized this problem before others, before also this film, which was shown, while simultaneously pointing to the necessity of equal treatment for everyone - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

- We want to break the conspiracy of silence in all possible environments. We know that cruel, disgraceful acts have taken place in some environments, and we will resolutely strive to break this conspiracy of silence wherever it may exist - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

„Teachers protested, and as a result, in the following month, they received salaries amounting to several hundred zlotys. These are very low, starvation wages, 600-700 zlotys, and this is supposed to last for the entire month. This is an exceptional situation where everyone, starting from Prime Minister Szydło, Prime Minister Morawiecki, and Minister Zalewska, admits the teachers are right. 'Yes, you struck for a just cause because your salaries are too low.' From these very low salaries, they have now received one-third and are expected to survive the month on this. We have decided to help PiS. We have prepared a short special bill. It only concerns those who struck in 2019. Since all the rulers admit they are right, we appeal for them to bring this project to debate and pay the striking teachers their due, albeit still very low, salaries” - said Urszula Augusty from Civic Platform at a press conference in the Sejm.

„It is not the case that important issues disappear in the heat of political daily business. For teachers, but also for children, parents, and students, the way social dialogue was conducted remains a great misunderstanding to this day, which this government has once again demonstrated. [The special bill project] is the beginning of a proposal for social dialogue. Not for selected friends at a square table, but for real dialogue, for responding to needs” - added Barbara Nowacka from Inicjatywa Polska.

- Prime Minister Morawiecki, your [sustainable development] strategy, which charmed us all, which we all praised, has turned out to be an empty promise. Today is May 2019, and there are six months left to implement your strategy. There are no promised million apartments, no promised million electric cars, no Luxtorpeda, no Batorego, no equalization of opportunities between small and large centers. None of what you promised exists. You deceived us - said Robert Biedroń during a press conference in Gorzów Wielkopolski.

– Before the commencement of the investigation into Paweł K., neither the Słupsk Cultural Centre in Słupsk nor the Słupsk City Hall sent letters to the local prosecutor's office exhibiting characteristics of a report of a sexual offense allegedly committed by this individual – said Paweł Wnuk, spokesperson for the District Prosecutor's Office in Słupsk, on TVN24, referring to Robert Biedroń's statement from yesterday on "Kropka nad i".

In "Kropka nad I," Biedroń stated: "– I made very important decisions, the kind that should be made: I immediately suspended this person and sent the documents to the prosecutor's office. We did it immediately, and that's how it should happen in such cases and be the standard."

The prosecutor questioned Biedroń's words.

„The Civic Platform is practically focused on one thing: PiS, PiS, and PiS again. That's not enough, which is why we are not part of the Civic Coalition, the European Coalition, or Civic Platform, because for us, that's insufficient when it comes to political goals. It's a motley crew coalition, from Grzegorz Schetyna to Barbara Nowacka, various left-wing, feminist groups” – said Marcin Anaszewicz from Wiosna (Spring) in an interview with Adrian Klarenbach on Polskie Radio 24.

„Much could have been expected from Grzegorz Schetyna, but not that he would one day become a feminist and support women, because Civic Platform had eight years to improve the quality of life for women in Poland and did little in this regard” – said Marcin Anaszewicz from Wiosna in an interview with Adrian Klarenbach on Polish Radio 24.

- I'd like this to be a moment of reflection for the Church on what to do in this matter. They probably won't do what might somewhat solve these problems, meaning they won't give up celibacy. That's like a millstone around the Church's neck - said Ryszard Bugaj in an interview with Marcin Zaborski on RMF FM's "Afternoon Conversation".

- In my opinion, European elections are not particularly important. The European Parliament is not particularly important. These European elections are significant due to their nature as a prelude to national elections - said Ryszard Bugaj in a conversation with Marcin Zaborski on RMF FM's "Popołudniowa rozmowa" (Afternoon Conversation).

- Then I will go with my single vote and vote for Tusk after all. Andrzej Duda, in my opinion, could not handle this office, and there is nothing to suggest he will. That is the problem - said Ryszard Bugaj in an interview with Marcin Zaborski on RMF FM's "Popołudniowa rozmowa" (Afternoon Conversation).

On Wednesday at 4:30 PM, the first reading of a bill proposed by Kukiz'15, concerning the protection of the Republic of Poland's property against claims related to uninherited assets, is scheduled. This item was not included in the initial version of the schedule.

The session will continue until Friday, when a block of votes is expected. However, it is not ruled out that the votes may be postponed to Thursday evening, as has happened during previous sessions.

- It is difficult for me to speak of state guilt here if information did not reach state institutions from victims or their loved ones.
