At 7:00 AM, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will give a press statement at Warsaw's Chopin Airport before departing for an informal EU summit in Romania. We know that procedures in the European Union, especially in the European Commission, are taken in such a way that sometimes EU citizens do not fully understand them. Less democratic deficit, more democratic procedures, a greater role for national parliaments” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki before departing for Romania.

"Poland's stance is unequivocal: structural funds, for agricultural policy, for agricultural subsidies, must not suffer in the next budgetary period, even though we agree that more funds should be allocated to innovation and security," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki before his departure to Romania.

- All police actions in this case [the arrest of Elżbieta Podleśna], that were undertaken, were taken following a report of suspected criminal offense. This report was filed, I believe, during the Easter holidays. As far as I can ascertain, yes [the report was made by priests from the local parish]. All these stories about alleged police manipulation, whether in this case or any other, are obviously of interest because they are alive, they resonate in various kinds of spaces, be it the internet or in direct contact - stated Joachim Brudziński in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Interview".

- The police, when taking these actions, had no idea that the case would involve a person recognized in the public space, that it concerned an activist engaged here in Warsaw in various anti-government actions. These actions were undertaken as a result of a report, and the case began during the Easter holidays when LGBT activists attempted to desecrate a grave in one of Płock's churches. Subsequently, there was an attempt at a disturbance inside the temple, the church, after which at night – as evident from surveillance footage – three masked individuals, i.e., the women who committed this act and are suspected of it, were aware that they were doing something that was against the law, given that they were masked. The police undertook actions aimed at identifying who committed this act. It was not, and this is the crux, the most important part of this case, at any stage about infringing the freedom of artistic creation, that the police are intervening because, in this case, Ms. Podleśna, touched by an artistic vision, decided to paint a rainbow around the image of the Virgin Mary of Częstochowa. Rather, the actions taken, among other things – all indications point to this – by Ms. Podleśna and two accompanying persons involved the image being stuck onto portable toilets, onto trash bins, and scattered around the church, and that's what the case is about, not artistic creation - stated Joachim Brudziński in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego.”

- If you ask me, today, being the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, having been on at least a few pilgrimages to Częstochowa, remembering all the emotions that accompanied me and millions of Poles every year, because it's enough to see in August how Poles en masse set off from Świnoujście, from Rzeszów, to walk to our Queen, then yes, it outrages me. Asked if a citizen has the right to place the image of the Virgin Mary in a rainbow halo, and if the police should prosecute for it, he replied: - Absolutely not for artistic creations.

The duration of this procedure was from 5 to 7 hours, partly because Ms. Podleśna was waiting for her lawyer. He emphasized that artistic creation is one thing, and another is affixing an image onto portable toilets, trash cans, causing disturbances in church, and desecrating the Holy Sepulchre.

"The Tu-154M wreckage should have been in Poland long ago. We are demanding it. It's good that the Council has recognized this problem and very clearly stated its position. Situations arose where Polish observers were supposedly to be present during the examination, and not only was it unsatisfactory, but it bore the hallmarks of a certain fiction. I am counting on the fact that - even at this very late stage - our experts will now actually be able to participate in these examinations. I appeal once again for this wreckage, which is a testament to the gigantic tragedy that occurred in Smolensk, to be brought to Poland as soon as possible. Paweł Kukiz has called upon the leaders of nationwide electoral committees for the European Parliament to participate in a debate on European issues. The leader of Kukiz'15 directed his appeal to the head of PiS, Jarosław Kaczyński, the chairman of PO, Grzegorz Schetyna, the president of Wiosna, Robert Biedroń, the president of Wolność, Janusz Korwin-Mikke, and Adrian Zandberg from Lewica Razem.

Kukiz stated: - The campaign so far is lacking in specifics, lacking in substance, and almost entirely avoids topics related to the European Union. Unfortunately, cheap populism and blunt propaganda dominate, focusing primarily on domestic matters.

Kukiz proposes that the debate should cover the following topics:

• Do we want a European superstate, or a Europe of Fatherlands?
• Do we want a two-speed Europe, or a Europe of equal states and equal opportunities?
• Do we agree to the expansion of European bureaucracy, or do we prefer the primacy of citizens' interests?
• Is the EU sufficiently democratic, or is it burdened by a serious deficit of democracy?

According to the leader of Kukiz'15, the debate should be broadcast by the major television stations. - Citizens have the right to know what proposals concerning European integration and Poland's place in Europe the largest electoral committees have - said Paweł Kukiz.

- The protest I wish to present, which I have been raising in this committee [on emigration and connections with Poles abroad] for three years, concerns the fact that we are also financing "Gazeta Polska" Clubs founded by Mr. Sakiewicz, the editor-in-chief of "Gazeta Polska", outside the country, and these are quite substantial sums. In the years 2017-2019, the Senate of the Republic of Poland spent PLN 1,371,468 on the activities of "Gazeta Polska" Clubs abroad - stated Barbara Borys-Damięcka in the Sejm.

The upper house has adopted, without amendments, the amendment to the Act on State Aid for Child Rearing, which expands the "Family 500+" program to include the first child. The government's proposal was supported by 82 senators, with no votes against and two senators abstaining. The adoption without amendments means the bill will now be sent to the president.

Following the publication by 300POLITYKA, work on the regulations to restore bus connections has accelerated. On Wednesday, May 15th, at 10:00 AM, the first reading of the government's draft bill on the Public Utility Bus Transport Development Fund will take place – according to the preliminary Sejm agenda that 300POLITYKA has seen. This is the proposal from the so-called Kaczyński's 'fifth package'.

Two Sejm committees – should the Sejm refer the draft bill to committee work – are scheduled to convene on the same day at 2:00 PM. The second reading, according to the schedule, is to be held at 8:00 PM. Theoretically, therefore, nothing prevents the government's proposal from being adopted. Voting will take place on Friday morning, between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, although it is not ruled out that this block of voting will also be moved to Thursday evening. Especially since the last item on that day concludes at 6:30 PM.

- Three times in that interview, I stated that I do not connect the teachers' strike with bomb threats. However, it is an indisputable fact, and I spoke about this, that during the strike, it was visible that some striking teachers or some union leaders were interested in the possibility that perhaps the eighth-grade or middle school exams, and then perhaps the final exams, might encounter some problems and not take place – emphasized the Deputy Minister of Culture.

- I believe in a good result, I believe in victory. This is not just about mandates for Civic Platform, PSL. I hope for a result that first and foremost secures victory in these elections.
