Sasin:

Bieńkowska's Work Led to EU Budget Unfavorable for Poland; She Seems to Represent Herself, the Opposition, or Just Tusk

- The result of Mrs. Bieńkowska's work is that the European Commission has proposed a budget that is not beneficial for Poland, nor for many Northern European countries - said Jacek Sasin in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały Dnia" on Jedynka radio.

- There is a proposal from the European Commission that is indeed not beneficial for Poland. We have a problem because Commissioner Bieńkowska behaves as if she were representing herself there, or representing the opposition. She does not maintain particularly close contact with Polish authorities. I suspect she only represents Donald Tusk - Sasin added.

Sasin on Schetyna's Coal Proposal: "EU Politicians Want to Please Their Own, Our European Partners, and Fit into the Mainstream"

- It's a shame Grzegorz Schetyna doesn't talk about what's in return. That would be interesting. The point is to provide Poles with good, clean energy, but also at a reasonable price – Jacek Sasin said in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on "Sygnały Dnia" on Polskie Radio Jedynka.

- This is an example, ladies and gentlemen, of the strange things European Coalition politicians say. On the one hand, they want to please their own, our European partners, and fit into the mainstream – Sasin added.

Campaign Enters a New Phase and Takes on a New Appearance. New European Coalition Billboards

- 15 years ago, Poles chose Poland's future. Today, we are once again facing a Great Choice. It is a matter of choosing between East and West. A choice between competence and 27:1, and a choice between values and hatred. The campaign is entering a new phase and taking on a new appearance, culminating on May 18th with a march of all political forces - one of the European Coalition's campaign strategists told 300POLITYKA. Today, the rollout of new billboards began. As our interlocutors emphasize, "Poland's future is at stake."

Czarnecki on Saryusz-Wolski's Statement about Gigantic Teacher Salary Increases: 'I Wouldn't Use That Term'

- Humility and restraint. No, we approach this success with humility and restraint, because it is a success primarily of the children, the youth, the parents - stated Ryszard Czarnecki in a conversation with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- Teachers deserve raises. However, the question is not so much whether, but how, and here we are very open to dialogue, but dialogue must take place. For now, it's the trade unions who are walking away from the table - he added.

When asked about Jacek Saryusz-Wolski's statement that teacher raises are gigantic, the PiS MEP replied: - I wouldn't use that term. Especially since we, as MEPs, should assess the earnings of people in Poland and also salary increases with greater restraint.

08:04

Kempa on President-Government Relations Regarding Teacher Proposals: 'There is no dispute here, and there never has been. It has usually been a dispute among publicists.'
The President said, perhaps more in this context, that if this formula did not suit the parties, he would also be ready to get involved, to propose yet another formula. There is no dispute here, and there never has been. It has usually been a dispute among publicists rather than the Prime Minister or the President - said Beata Kempa in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on the program 'Graffiti' on Polsat News.

08:08

Czarnecki:

Kaczyński is the Undisputed Leader, and SLD Questions Schetyna's Role as Civic Coalition Leader
To the best of my knowledge, Grzegorz Schetyna is not a candidate for the European Parliament, and neither is President Kaczyński. Here in Poland, Kaczyński is the undisputed leader, number one, and yet we hear that the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD), Mr. Czarzasty, his spokesperson, is questioning Mr. Schetyna's role as the leader of the Civic Coalition (KE) – stated Ryszard Czarnecki in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation," when asked about the pre-election leaders' debate.

08:11

Czarnecki on the Debate: No Statutory Obligation

- There is no constitutional, let alone statutory obligation [to hold a debate] - stated Ryszard Czarnecki in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation". As he emphasized, Jarosław Kaczyński is not afraid to debate and is an effective politician.

08:14

Kempa on Macron's Words Regarding Poland in Schengen: Germany, France, and Other Countries' 'Welcome All' Policy Has Bankrupted. It Turns Out Others, Including Poland, Must Be Burdened with Responsibility

- Regarding Mr. President Macron, his policy has bankrupted. His approval ratings are falling, he has internal problems, he has the 'yellow vest' protests, and he's desperately trying to save himself. In addition, the policy of Germany, France, and other countries based on the principle of 'herzlich willkommen, we accept everyone' has also bankrupted. It then turned out that other countries, including Poland and the Visegrad Group countries, must be burdened with responsibility - said Beata Kempa in an interview with Wojciech Dąbrowski on the program 'Graffiti' on Polsat News.

08:17

Czarnecki on Kaczyński-Juncker Meeting: He Wasn't in Brussels. He Has All of Poland on His Shoulders

- He wasn't in Brussels, which means the matter is open, perhaps for the future. He wasn't in Brussels. He has all of Poland on his shoulders, Mr. Editor - stated Ryszard Czarnecki in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego," when asked about a meeting between Jean-Claude Juncker and Jarosław Kaczyński.

- The head of the European Commission meets with heads of state, heads of government. Mateusz Morawiecki has met numerous times, as has Prime Minister Beata Szydło, with President Juncker - said the PiS MEP.

When asked if the PiS leader couldn't just hop on a plane and fly to Brussels, Czarnecki replied: - Can't President Juncker hop on a plane and fly to Warsaw? We can host him here so well that he'll be delighted.

08:34

Kukiz on Parliamentary Elections: I Guarantee That If I Were Offered the Position of Deputy Prime Minister, I Would Certainly Not Accept It. Perhaps I Would Nominate Someone Else Along with a Group of Colleagues

- There is still a long way to go until the autumn elections. For now, let's focus on the European Parliament elections. And as for looking so far into the future, I guarantee that if a situation ever arose where I were offered the position of Deputy Prime Minister, I would certainly not accept that offer, because there might be, I would nominate such a person along with a group of my closest colleagues. I know my place - stated Paweł Kukiz in an interview with Marcin Wikło on "Polityczny Kwadrans" on TVP1, when asked if he could be referred to as Deputy Prime Minister after the autumn elections.

08:46

Kukiz on Confederation: From PZPR Members to Nationalists

- Here [in Confederation] there are big analogies to the European Coalition. Because you also have people there from PZPR members to nationalists - stated Paweł Kukiz in a conversation with Marcin Wikło in TVP1's 'Political Fifteen Minutes'.

09:23

Miller:

The Question Is Whether Juncker Had One Cognac or More. His Inclinations Are Known. He Misjudges the Situation; The Ruling Party's Goal is Undoubtedly a Velvet Polexit
The question is whether Mr. Juncker had one cognac or more. Incidentally, I observe a very interesting phenomenon. Namely, until now, Mr. Juncker was very criticized by PiS. Jarosław Kaczyński did not want to meet with him. As of today, he is a very competent and desired EU politician – stated Leszek Miller in a conversation with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus, when asked about Jean-Claude Juncker's statement to "Rzeczpospolita" that even if PiS wins the autumn parliamentary elections, Poland will not leave the Union and there will be no Polexit. I cannot say, of course [that Juncker gave the interview under the influence of alcohol, that he was not speaking sober], because I don't know how it was. However, Mr. Juncker's inclinations are, of course, known. I believe that Mr. Juncker is simply misjudging the situation. This is because the ruling party [in Poland] undoubtedly aims for a velvet Polexit, i.e., keeping our country on the lowest floor of European integration. Effectively, reduced only to trade and economic integration, but without all those values that formed the foundation of the EU's creation – added the former Prime Minister.

10:11

Brudziński:

What is allowed for big, historically old EU states must be allowed for Central and Eastern European countries. This is the message we bring to Europe.

- We are coming with a message that was conveyed by the leader of our party, Jarosław Kaczyński. He said, no more, no less, that what is allowed for Germany, what is allowed for Spain, must be allowed for Poland, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, or Slovakia. There cannot be a Europe of two speeds. There cannot be an attempt to exclude countries from the European community by one politician or another who has enormous problems in their own country and rapidly falling poll numbers, and who, through such bluster, tries to divide Europe and European countries. Europe must be based on common pillars of values and law. Everything that is allowed, as Jarosław Kaczyński said, for the big, historically old states of the European Union, must be allowed for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. This is the message we bring to Europe - said Joachim Brudziński during a press conference in Szczecin.

This flagship promise from the so-called "Kaczyński's Five" is the first item on the agenda.

Grabiec on the Kalus Case: It Cannot Be That Those Supporting Neo-Nazis Work in the Justice System. Jaki and Ziobro Bear Personal Responsibility

- The case of hanging MEPs from Civic Platform on symbolic gallows continues. We already know that one of the perpetrators of this disgraceful act was an employee of the Ministry of Justice, brought into this ministry by Deputy Minister Patryk Jaki - said Jan Grabiec during a press conference in the Sejm.

- It turns out that this person simultaneously cooperated with, provided advice to, and supported neo-Nazis accused of organizing Adolf Hitler's birthday. He did this while working in the justice system, in the Ministry of Justice. If these shocking facts are not sufficient for resignation, it means that we should call not for the resignation or removal of unworthy people from the justice system, but we should call for the removal from the justice system of those who hire these unworthy people, assign them special tasks, and create a protective umbrella over them. It cannot be that individuals with fascist views or those supporting neo-Nazis work in the justice system. Deputy Minister Patryk Jaki and the Prosecutor General, Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro, bear personal responsibility for this - Grabiec added.

ZNP:

We Recommend the Italian Protest

- We recommend the Italian protest: we work only as much as we are obliged to by the provisions of the education law and only based on what is available at our workplace and what our employer provides. We are suspending the strike, but not the protest! The collective dispute continues! - the ZNP announced via social media.

Stachowiak-Różecka:

There are many responsible and sensible activists in Kukiz’15. I support them so that we can one day build a well-functioning homeland together.

- There are many very responsible and sensible activists in the Kukiz’15 movement. I support them so that we can one day build a well-functioning homeland for Poles together – stated Mirosława Stachowiak-Różecka on PR24.

14:33

Witczak:

PiS is lying about the European Coalition's election program, claiming PO is an enemy of Polish coal

- This morning, PiS has been lying about the European Coalition's election program, about Platforma's programmatic proposals, claiming that PO is an enemy of Polish coal. This is an obvious lie and manipulation, because we clearly state in our election program that as part of the fight for clean air, heating systems in Polish homes, private homes, and housing communities should be transformed into ways of delivering heat using various ecological solutions, including gas. We cannot tolerate a situation today where smog and polluted air are one of the serious causes of many diseases. We cannot tolerate tolerating such solutions any longer. We explicitly state in our program that many different financial support programs should be built, which will allow these so-called dirty heating systems, 'kopciuchy' [old, polluting stoves], to be transformed into ecological systems by 2030. This is our idea for the fight for clean air. Polish mining and this branch of Polish industry are very important to us. Of course, mining should be modernized. There are many ways, on which Jerzy Buzek is working, among others, with the support of EU funds, to obtain more ecological energy from coal, including so-called coal gasification. We are very willing and serious about discussing such topics with PiS, but in a substantive, not a lying, manner. We do not agree to manipulation, fabrication, and lying about our election program - stated Mariusz Witczak at a briefing in the Sejm.

14:39

Nitras:

Unlike PiS, We Have the Courage and Aren't Afraid to Say We Have a Plan to Eliminate Coal Stoves So Poles Can Live and Breathe Healthy Air

- Civic Platform has the courage to speak frankly: by 2030, despite PiS's opposition, we will ensure there are no coal stoves in Polish homes. This isn't because we are against Polish coal, but because we want Poles to be able to open their windows year-round. Today, many cannot open their windows during the so-called heating season because the air is unhealthy, due to the stoves they have or the stoves their neighbors have. If we do nothing, 170,000 people will contract cancer annually. And the main cause of cancer is smog. Smog from our stoves and cars. We have the courage and are not afraid to say, unlike PiS, that we have a program and will eliminate coal stoves so that Poles can live and breathe healthy air - stated Sławomir Nitras at a briefing in the Sejm.

President Duda Visits the 17th Greater Poland Mechanized Brigade in Wędrzyn
- The Republic of Poland has been reaping the rewards of your magnificent attitude for these 15 years - emphasized President Andrzej Duda, presenting decorations to participants of the battles in Karbala, Iraq, in 2004. - The fact that our allies look at us the way they do, that they are present on our territory, that our voice counts in the North Atlantic Alliance, we also owe to you, to your courage, your heroism, your wisdom - he stressed. The President pointed out that thanks to the training of the soldiers, and above all the wisdom of the commanders, none of our soldiers were killed or seriously injured in this difficult and very intense combat. Andrzej Duda visited the 17th Greater Poland Mechanized Brigade in Wędrzyn.

PM on CPK: A Great Development Opportunity for Poland
We are presenting the main assumptions regarding the Central Communication Port (CPK), especially through the lens of railway lines and connections. I have immense pleasure in presenting the first, fundamental strategic assumptions that today's Council of Ministers has also adopted. I will begin by saying that this is a project – I don’t hesitate to use this word – epochal, because it overcomes divisions dating back to the times of partitions when Poland was divided between empires – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a conference at the PKP Łódź Fabryczna station. He added:
"We are embarking on the implementation of very concrete plans. Plans that we are provisionally calling the development of railway lines in the form of a single center, a hub, the CPK, not far from here, Stanisławów, Baranów, smaller towns, and 10 spokes, i.e., railway arteries departing from this CPK, the Łódź - CPK - Warsaw triangle. This is a great development opportunity for Poland. Not only to overcome these centuries-old, one might say, backwardnesses, but an opportunity for 21st-century development. We are saying today, and I believe that Poland is and can be a distinct center, the heart of Europe, in many respects. Economically, transport-wise, and the CPK can be, in a few years, the business and communication heart of Poland. It is an excellent location, predestined for this in many ways.”

President Duda in Międzychód: 'I encourage you to go and vote in the European elections, as they are very important'

- The European Parliament elections are coming soon. I want to warmly encourage you to participate in these elections. Unfortunately, turnout in these elections is usually low for us. We are for the European Union, but when it comes to making decisions about staffing this very important European institution, we do not exercise our right to vote. This is a paradox. I encourage you to go and vote in these elections, as they are very important - said President Andrzej Duda during his visit to Międzychód.

19:40

Jaki on Marsz Suwerenności: This behavior is a violation of the Constitution. The right to demonstrate is a fundamental right of every democracy.

- This behavior [Rafał Trzaskowski's regarding the Sovereignty March] is a violation of the Constitution. That is unfortunately the truth. These are people who talk a lot about the Constitution, but unfortunately, they regularly break it themselves. I remind you that the right to demonstrate is a fundamental right of every democracy, it is the foundation upon which every democracy stands. Even if someone among us disagrees with nationalists or any left-wing movement, as long as they have legally registered associations or parties, they have the right to demonstrate. If someone doesn't understand this, it means they don't understand what a state of law is - stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Wydarzenia i opinie".

19:45

Jaki on the Debate: Unfortunately, Ms. Thun Is Still Afraid
As the editor has likely noticed, I generally enjoy debating and am not afraid of it. I like exchanging arguments. Of course, I have invited my main competitor in the constituency, namely Róża Thun von Hohenstein, to a debate numerous times. Unfortunately, Ms. Róża Thun is still afraid – stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Wydarzenia i opinie" (Events and Opinions).

19:50

Jaki:

Juncker Finally Stated Something Obvious to Anyone Interested in Politics. PiS Has Been a Pro-European Party from the Very Beginning
The President of the European Commission has finally stated something that is obvious to anyone interested in politics. Namely, that our party, i.e., the foundation of the United Right, PiS, has been a pro-European party from the very beginning. After all, in the referendum, PiS urged for Poland to join the EU – stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Wydarzenia i opinie".

19:56

Jaki:

PiS as a party was for joining the EU. Compared to, for example, PO's main advisor Roman Giertych, who urged not to join the EU back then.

- During the referendum as well, when everyone could express their opinion, it was decisive whether we would join the EU or not. PiS as a party was for joining the EU, and that's obvious, especially when compared to, for example, Civic Platform's main advisor Roman Giertych, who urged not to join the EU back then – stated Patryk Jaki in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Wydarzenia i opinie".

19:58

Dworczyk:

PM Morawiecki Sent Out Invitations for Tuesday's Roundtable Discussion
- Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki sent out invitations today for the next stage of the education debate - stated Michał Dworczyk in a conversation with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Tak jest". - We don't need any response and we don't expect any response. We are counting on those individuals who are interested in the future of education to simply come and talk - he added.

- The President of even one of Jean-Claude Juncker's associates had dinner, which happened at my home, thanks to my wife's hospitality. He left in high spirits and with very good news. The President's message was very clear, and if there wasn't some disruption on the line, he should have understood his associate well - said Adam Bielan on Kropka nad I.

I Remember the Uproar This Station Caused When Minister Ziobro Intended to Extradite a Famous Director Accused of Pedophilia
- I remember the uproar this station caused when Minister Ziobro intended to extradite a famous director accused of pedophilia. No one who defends perpetrators of such acts deserves respect. You, just now, relativized these actions because they happened several decades ago - said Adam Bielan in response to Monika Olejnik's words about Stanisław Piotrowicz, whom she believes defended a priest accused of pedophilia.

20:21

Błaszczak:

Juncker said: the emperor has no clothes. Behold, the European Coalition uses falsehoods

- I am very pleased with these words, because Juncker said, the emperor has no clothes. Behold, the European Coalition uses falsehoods. Schetyna formulated such a lie to cover up his indolence and lack of a programmatic message - said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on the program “Gość Wiadomości” on TVP Info.

20:22

Bielan:

Poland Will Not Return Uninherited Property; Relations with the US Are at an All-Time High
- There is no possibility of our government returning uninherited property. This matter was settled by an agreement in 1962 and cannot be reopened. This is our government's publicly stated position, declared directly in talks with our partners. Poland's relations with the USA are the best in history, also in terms of the level of visits. In two months, President Duda will be at the White House, and I hope that in four months, President Trump will be in Poland - said Adam Bielan on Kropka nad I.

20:29

Błaszczak:

Decision on Strengthening US Troop Numbers Made. We Are on Track to Conclude Negotiations This Year

- We can say it this way. The decision regarding the numerical strengthening of American troops has been made. We are now negotiating the details. We are on the right track to conclude the negotiations this year. Successfully, because it will undoubtedly be a success, strengthening the defensive capabilities of the Polish Army - said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.
