Schetyna:
They are Creating a New Caste of Party Mandarins
- There is no future for Poland without Europe, but Europe is not just the European Parliament. The most important thing is Europe here, in Poland. Above all, the Polish government must be on a European level, on a Western European level. The issue, however, is at what level the authorities govern, not at what level they live, and they don't understand this. When it comes to their own standard of living and luxuries, they have long since surpassed Europe. In terms of enriching themselves through power, they are already competing today with politicians from Russia or Asian republics. That's the truth. This is being talked about in Europe. How to earn your first million? Join PiS. Why work hard, study, take risks, start a business? They are creating a new caste of party mandarins, cut off from the people by fences, barriers, an army of security guards, they see Poles only from behind the dark windows of government limousines, and they all drive with sirens on, as we see. Today, Warsaw residents have to yield more often to speeding PiS dignitaries than to ambulances and police. Bonuses, official villas, contracts in state-owned companies, family members in positions, cronies, and at the same time contempt for the Constitution and for people. In the end, there's the autocrat who distributes concessions for rummaging through the state coffers. PiS has set up a Byzantine Empire for itself in Warsaw and across all of Poland – stated Grzegorz Schetyna at the European Coalition convention in Poznań.

Schetyna:
We Want a Poland for Kowalski, Not for Kaczyński
"This government forgets one thing. It forgets that it was in Poland that "Solidarity" was born. The real and great one. I'm not talking about today's caricature, I'm talking about "Solidarity" that once swept away a government. I'm talking about "solidarity" that has remained in Polish hearts, which causes parents to support striking teachers. I'm talking about solidarity that tells us to be with those who are weaker and who have no chance against the government alone. I deeply believe that the cunning of this government will be punished and will collide with true solidarity on election day. Like a wall."- We want a different Poland. We want a Poland for Kowalski, not for Kaczyński. We will be with Poles, not above Poles. It is enough to respect people. Then the thievery will end, but also the lies, the hatred, reason and work will begin. Then trust will return, which is what you in Wielkopolska know well and what is the foundation of Western Europe's success - emphasized the head of PO.
10:42
- Today, I want to say to the teachers. Your protest made sense. Your determination made a great impression on all of us. We listened carefully to what you said. We have the utmost respect for you and your work. Immediately after the elections, we will sit down for a serious, honest conversation. But even today, without preconditions, we have proposals for you that will meet your demands – stated Grzegorz Schetyna at the European Coalition convention in Poznań.
10:48
10:50
- This is the Poland we will build. Without violence, divisions, or hatred. A Poland that will not have to be ashamed of its government. A Poland where trust and true solidarity prevail, which boldly looks to the future, where life is simply lived like in the West - stated Grzegorz Schetyna at the European Coalition convention in Poznań.
- Everyone who dreams of such a Poland, I invite you to the march we will organize on May 18th in Warsaw - he added.

PSL is the Conservative, Christian Democratic, Centrist Anchor in the European Coalition
- The PSL is that anchor, conservative, Christian democratic, centrist in the European Coalition, and for that I thank you, that we can be together in this diversity - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at the European Coalition convention in Poznań.

Czarzasty:
If Someone Says the EU Has Given Poland Nothing and Poland Isn't Benefiting, They Are Either Stupid or Part of the PiS Leadership
- The EU and Poland in the EU mean 110 billion net inflows to Poland. That's 30 billion euros in subsidies for farmers, 18 billion from the Rural Development Programme, 30 billion from the Cohesion Fund, and 44 billion euros from the European Regional Development Fund. This translates to 12,000 km of new roads in Poland. In 2004, the network of motorways and roads was 670 km. Today it's 4,000 km. It's free travel for us throughout all EU countries. I am 58 years old and I know what it meant not to be able to travel freely across EU countries. We must remind people of this, as it is particularly important for the younger generation. Over these 15 years, we've seen 3 million new jobs created. There's been an increase in earnings, not as much as we'd like, we'd certainly want more, but it's an increase in earnings, in the purchasing power of every Pole. Not as much as we'd like, there's still much ahead of us, but we can certainly buy more than 15 years ago. Our cities are more beautiful, our monuments are renowned, and our streets are increasingly pedestrian-friendly. I think that if someone says the EU has given Poland nothing and Poland isn't benefiting from the EU, they are either stupid or part of the PiS leadership. There is no other alternative - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at the European Coalition convention in Poznań.

Czarzasty:
We Must Fight Those Who Harm Poland. This is One Reason I Joined the European Coalition – I Want to Fight the Law and Justice Party.
- We must fight, because the enemy is strong. We must fight for the rights of people with disabilities. For the rights of teachers, for the rights of resident doctors, for all those groups that are ridiculed, spat upon, labelled as the 'worst', as bad people. People who are told they should quarrel amongst themselves. We want to reconcile, to earn trust. To have open hearts, to talk. We see diversity. We see that everyone has the right to love as they wish and to believe in what they want. We are different, but we have reached an understanding. Because it is a crucial choice: to fight the Law and Justice Party and win against them. They tell me: 'Don't talk about fighting the Law and Justice Party, because it's so ugly, because it cannot be the driving force of the European Coalition.' I disagree with this opinion. We must fight those who do harm to Poland. This is one reason I joined the European Coalition – because I want to fight the Law and Justice Party. Because if the Law and Justice Party continues to govern, your opinion, your opinion, your opinion, my opinion will not matter. This is a fight to the death for the future of Poland, for the future of our children – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at the European Coalition convention in Poznań.

Lubnauer:
Nowoczesna's Goal is to Ensure Poles' Well-being. We Want a Rich and Creative Poland, Not One Reliant on Handouts Discretionarily Distributed by Politicians.
- Nowoczesna's goal is to ensure the well-being of Poles. We want a rich and creative Poland, not one dependent on handouts discretionarily distributed by politicians. These goals are achievable, these goals we can achieve together. All it takes is a good choice and not messing things up - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer at the European Coalition convention in Poznań.
- Let us remember and speak loudly: there will be no Poland without Europe, nor Europe without Poland - she added.

Lubnauer:
European Coalition Will Defend Poland Against Polexit and Reclaim its Due Place in the EU

A Vote for the European Coalition in these Elections Will Be a Vote for a Strong Europe, Solidarity, Cooperation, Agreement, and Reconciliation

Kaczyński:
EU Membership is a Requirement of Polish Patriotism
- Membership in NATO, but also – I want to strongly emphasize this – in the EU is beneficial for Poland. Thanks to this, we have higher security and a better status, and we can strive for an even better status, and finally, it is easier for us to gain positions, even regional ones, such as in the Visegrád Group or the being constructed Three Seas Initiative. In short: EU membership is a requirement of Polish patriotism – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a convention in Poznań.
12:54
- Equality [in the EU] is needed. We must strive for equality. And unfortunately, this equality has begun to be questioned. We heard the words, "they didn't take the opportunity to keep quiet." This was a certain arrogance characteristic of some French politicians, but it reflected a way of thinking. There were many such incidents, and finally, ideas for dividing Europe emerged, not today, but yesterday, as this has been brewing for some time. The idea of a Europe of two speeds. This essentially means a division between those who are fully entitled and those who do not have full rights. In short, the issue of equality has become a very current topic that must be part of our international policy agenda, including its extremely important aspect related to our presence in the EU. But this issue has not only aspects related to high politics. It also has aspects related to Polish daily life. Each of us has probably seen shops with German laundry detergents, straight from Germany. The same detergents are sold in Poland, and at the same prices, only they are worse. They are simply worse. They have a worse composition, they wash worse. Of course, these detergents are just an example. There are more such goods, and this is inequality. And this is inequality that must not be tolerated - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a convention in Poznań.
- We have raised this issue many times, and here are the results. Very recently, a few days ago, the European Parliament approved a report concerning amendments to the directive on preventing misleading practices in trade. These are changes that, for the first time, move in the direction of eliminating and disabling this inequality, to punish such actions. They also have other positive aspects for Polish businesses, concerning, for example, relations between those who sell but with the right of return, and those who abuse this right. For many Polish, especially smaller or medium-sized enterprises, this is a serious problem. Is this fully satisfactory? No. There are many exceptions. It could be better. But we have truly taken a first big step in this important endeavor for Poland, aimed at achieving real equality. What was the position of Polish MEPs? As for PiS, you probably have no doubts. They fought for it and voted in favor. But with astonishment, because I won't hide that I was extremely surprised when I found out that the majority of MEPs, a decisive majority of Civic Platform, voted against it. Against these obvious Polish interests - he added.

- Recently, there was the issue of the so-called ACTA. That's what it was called. Ostensibly, it's about protecting copyright on the internet, but in reality, this method of protection can lead to censorship. This concerned Polish interests and, above all, Polish freedom. And we also faced a situation where a very significant portion of PO representatives voted in favor of it. We were against it. We were for freedom - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a convention in Poznań.
12:59
Kaczyński:
Adopting the Euro Now Would Harm the Polish Economy and Slow Its Growth
- Indeed, the Polish economy today, with PiS in power, is doing well. It is developing rapidly. The situation in public finances is very good. Debt is falling. One can say that we are an exemplary EU country. Therefore, a very tasty morsel. But there is a question: will the euro benefit the Polish economy at this moment, will we develop faster because of it, will Polish households be better off because of it, will Polish pockets gain from it? Well, no. If we adopted the euro at this moment, the Polish economy would lose out. It would develop more slowly, and Polish households would lose out – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a convention in Poznań.
13:01
Kaczyński Quotes Schetyna:
We Will Present to Polish Society a Project for Entering the Eurozone.
- What is the Civic Platform for? Mr. Schetyna said it recently. Namely, it is for introducing the euro. We will present to Polish society a project for entering the eurozone. These are his words at some European conference, perhaps of their European political formation. I repeat: it will hit the economy, Polish households. But despite everything, they are for it - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a convention in Poznań.
13:07
Kaczyński:
No to a Two-Speed, Two-Tier Union. Yes to a Union of Equality, Yes to a Union Returning to its Roots
- We are a political formation guided by patriotism, which pursues Polish national interest, and which strives for equality. The EU was established over 60 years ago and was created by people who referred to Christian values. What's more, they themselves were very practising Christians. It was drawing conclusions from the First, and especially the Second World War. And one can say that the EU, formerly the EEC, achieved successes here. And these successes should be continued. But they can only be continued if the slogan prevails: no to a two-speed, two-tier union. Yes to a union of equality, yes to a union that will return - I believe it will - to its roots. Because the future of the EU, its hope, strength, and chance for true greatness lies in a union of equal, free, European nations - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a convention in Poznań.
13:12
PMM:
We Drew List Number 4. I Don't Believe in the Magic of Numbers That Much, But If It Brought Us Four Terms, We Wouldn't Complain, Would We?
- Ladies and gentlemen, we drew list number 4. I don't really believe in the magic of numbers that much, but if it brought us four terms, we wouldn't complain, would we? Although the Chairman always says then that I'm a defeatist, that it's not enough, but at least for a start - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a convention in Poznań.
13:17
PM:
The EU must be a club of equal states. Otherwise, we will face crisis after crisis
- The EU must be a club – let's stick with that word – of equal states. Otherwise, we will face crisis after crisis. Therefore, today, while fighting in Poland's interest for equal treatment, we are simultaneously fighting for a strong EU. For an EU that is not a concert of great powers, not a European concert of great powers or a concert of European great powers, but a union of equal states. Not a union of equals and the more equal, but a union that serves all member states in a fair and solidary manner – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a convention in Poznań.
13:24
PMM:
A Free and Common European Market Must Guarantee Fair Consumer Treatment. The Same in All Countries
13:26
Morawiecki:
Why did PO MEPs vote against having the same products with the same composition in all member states? I cannot understand it.
- It is difficult for me to understand, the Prime Minister spoke about the directive which now, at the end of this European Parliament term, had a chance or has a chance to be improved. A directive that is precisely meant to help in the equal treatment of customers in all EU countries, why did PO MEPs vote against having the same products with the same composition in all member states? I cannot understand it. It is precisely us, when going to the European Parliament, who will fight such inequalities - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a convention in Poznań.
13:38
PM:
European Parliament Elections Absolutely Crucial for Europe's Future, Will Determine EU's Shape for Years to Come
- We see the EU as a beautiful forest, diverse, because all forests are diverse, but diverse and at the same time treated equally by those who have influence. We want the upcoming elections, which are absolutely crucial for Europe's future, to be elections that will move towards freedom and equality. In 30 days, the European Parliament elections will take place, which will perhaps determine not just the next 1800 days, but many years to come, the shape of the EU. We need representation that will ensure a strong Europe of fatherlands, which will be a world power with Poland as a pillar. A Europe that will be a strong Europe of fatherlands - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a convention in Poznań.
- After 15 years in the EU, because the anniversary is approaching, after 15 years, Poland is richer in experience. Many different experiences, wisdom. Let Europe now, in the coming years, be richer for our experiences, for solidarity - he added.
