Bonuses, official villas, contracts in state-owned companies, family members in positions, cronies, and at the same time contempt for the Constitution and for people. In the end, there's the autocrat who distributes concessions for rummaging through the state coffers. Does a government that cared even in the slightest about education adopt a law like the one passed in the Sejm last Thursday? After all, the entire legislative process took literally a few hours. Should the mayor issue diplomas, or should the president issue diplomas? Is that a solution? Is this how the education system in Poland is supposed to look? Seriously? Is that your idea for it? Instead of a serious, honest conversation with teachers, a propaganda circus in a stadium. We saw it yesterday. A European government does not act like this. They are no longer even pretending to want to solve this problem. Education doesn't interest them, because they can't find votes for themselves there. They regret wasting time on it. - Today, I want to say to the teachers. Your protest made sense. Your determination made a great impression on all of us. We listened carefully to what you said. We have the utmost respect for you and your work. Immediately after the elections, we will sit down for a serious, honest conversation. Recently, Prime Minister Morawiecki compared Polish judges to Nazi collaborators. Minister Jaki says that teachers remind him of the Wehrmacht, the occupying army. In a country that lost millions of its daughters and sons, a country that witnessed German concentration camps, this is the highest insult. And at the same time, these same authorities want to watch as ONR members march through the streets of Warsaw on May 1st. We saw burning torches at Jasna Góra, where members of Młodzież Wszechpolska swore allegiance. We see the government's tacit approval of these brown parades. We see that before the elections, they again say they love Europe, but they do something completely different. We saw their joint march in Warsaw. You are looking for Hitlerites among teachers, yet you don't see neo-fascists right under your noses. - The EU and Poland in the EU mean 110 billion net inflows to Poland. That's 30 billion euros in subsidies for farmers, 18 billion from the Rural Development Programme, 30 billion from the Cohesion Fund, and 44 billion euros from the European Regional Development Fund. This translates to 12,000 km of new roads in Poland. In 2004, the network of motorways and roads was 670 km. Today it's 4,000 km. It's free travel for us throughout all EU countries. I am 58 years old and I know what it meant not to be able to travel freely across EU countries. We must remind people of this, as it is particularly important for the younger generation. Over these 15 years, we've seen 3 million new jobs created. There's been an increase in earnings, not as much as we'd like, we'd certainly want more, but it's an increase in earnings, in the purchasing power of every Pole. Not as much as we'd like, there's still much ahead of us, but we can certainly buy more than 15 years ago. Our cities are more beautiful, our monuments are renowned, and our streets are increasingly pedestrian-friendly. I think that if someone says the EU has given Poland nothing and Poland isn't benefiting from the EU, they are either stupid or part of the PiS leadership. - Membership in NATO, but also – I want to strongly emphasize this – in the EU is beneficial for Poland. - Equality [in the EU] is needed. We must strive for equality. And unfortunately, this equality has begun to be questioned. We heard the words, "they didn't take the opportunity to keep quiet." This was a certain arrogance characteristic of some French politicians, but it reflected a way of thinking. There were many such incidents, and finally, ideas for dividing Europe emerged, not today, but yesterday, as this has been brewing for some time. The idea of a Europe of two speeds. This essentially means a division between those who are fully entitled and those who do not have full rights. In short, the issue of equality has become a very current topic that must be part of our international policy agenda, including its extremely important aspect related to our presence in the EU. But this issue has not only aspects related to high politics. It also has aspects related to Polish daily life. Each of us has probably seen shops with German laundry detergents, straight from Germany. The same detergents are sold in Poland, and at the same prices, only they are worse. They are simply worse. They have a worse composition, they wash worse. Of course, these detergents are just an example. There are more such goods, and this is inequality. And this is inequality that must not be tolerated - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a convention in Poznań.

- We have raised this issue many times, and here are the results. Very recently, a few days ago, the European Parliament approved a report concerning amendments to the directive on preventing misleading practices in trade. These are changes that, for the first time, move in the direction of eliminating and disabling this inequality, to punish such actions. They also have other positive aspects for Polish businesses, concerning, for example, relations between those who sell but with the right of return, and those who abuse this right. For many Polish, especially smaller or medium-sized enterprises, this is a serious problem. Is this fully satisfactory? No. There are many exceptions. It could be better. But we have truly taken a first big step in this important endeavor for Poland, aimed at achieving real equality. What was the position of Polish MEPs? As for PiS, you probably have no doubts. They fought for it and voted in favor. But with astonishment, because I won't hide that I was extremely surprised when I found out that the majority of MEPs, a decisive majority of Civic Platform, voted against it. - Recently, there was the issue of the so-called ACTA. That's what it was called. Ostensibly, it's about protecting copyright on the internet, but in reality, this method of protection can lead to censorship. This concerned Polish interests and, above all, Polish freedom. And we also faced a situation where a very significant portion of PO representatives voted in favor of it. We were against it. We were for freedom - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a convention in Poznań.

- Indeed, the Polish economy today, with PiS in power, is doing well. It is developing rapidly. The situation in public finances is very good. Debt is falling. One can say that we are an exemplary EU country. Therefore, a very tasty morsel. But there is a question: will the euro benefit the Polish economy at this moment, will we develop faster because of it, will Polish households be better off because of it, will Polish pockets gain from it? Well, no. If we adopted the euro at this moment, the Polish economy would lose out. - What is the Civic Platform for? Mr. Schetyna said it recently. Namely, it is for introducing the euro. We will present to Polish society a project for entering the eurozone. These are his words at some European conference, perhaps of their European political formation. I repeat: it will hit the economy, Polish households. - We are a political formation guided by patriotism, which pursues Polish national interest, and which strives for equality. The EU was established over 60 years ago and was created by people who referred to Christian values. What's more, they themselves were very practising Christians. It was drawing conclusions from the First, and especially the Second World War. And one can say that the EU, formerly the EEC, achieved successes here. And these successes should be continued. But they can only be continued if the slogan prevails: no to a two-speed, two-tier union. Yes to a union of equality, yes to a union that will return - I believe it will - to its roots. - Ladies and gentlemen, we drew list number 4. I don't really believe in the magic of numbers that much, but if it brought us four terms, we wouldn't complain, would we? - The EU must be a club – let's stick with that word – of equal states. Otherwise, we will face crisis after crisis. Therefore, today, while fighting in Poland's interest for equal treatment, we are simultaneously fighting for a strong EU. For an EU that is not a concert of great powers, not a European concert of great powers or a concert of European great powers, but a union of equal states. - We want a fair European market. A free market. A free and common European market. It must guarantee fair consumer treatment. The same in all countries. We have the pleasure of buying air in these cookie packages for the same money. Or in Austria, orange juice that is actually orange juice, while here it is flavored, enhanced with some thickener and flavor enhancer. - It is difficult for me to understand, the Prime Minister spoke about the directive which now, at the end of this European Parliament term, had a chance or has a chance to be improved. A directive that is precisely meant to help in the equal treatment of customers in all EU countries, why did PO MEPs vote against having the same products with the same composition in all member states? I cannot understand it. It is precisely us, when going to the European Parliament, who will fight such inequalities - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a convention in Poznań.

- We see the EU as a beautiful forest, diverse, because all forests are diverse, but diverse and at the same time treated equally by those who have influence. We want the upcoming elections, which are absolutely crucial for Europe's future, to be elections that will move towards freedom and equality. In 30 days, the European Parliament elections will take place, which will perhaps determine not just the next 1800 days, but many years to come, the shape of the EU. We need representation that will ensure a strong Europe of fatherlands, which will be a world power with Poland as a pillar.
