I am once again requesting the President’s decision.

This is another attempt – Szatkowski was previously a candidate for the position of Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to NATO, but in February, the same committee negatively opined on his candidacy by a vote of 7:6. Furthermore, Szatkowski is to represent Poland in the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague.
At 3:00 PM, a government session will begin. The agenda primarily includes a draft resolution regarding the Multiannual Financial Plan of the State for the years 2019-2022 and the draft National Reform Programme for the implementation of the "Europe 2020" strategy. Update 2019/2020, as well as a draft amendment to the Act on Healthcare Benefits Financed from Public Funds.
At 6:00 PM, the parliamentary committee on constitutional responsibility – traditionally in a closed session – will return to evaluating the evidence gathered in the case concerning the preliminary motion to hold the President of the Supreme Audit Office, Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, constitutionally accountable before the State Tribunal. Also at 6:00 PM, the parliamentary committee on justice and human rights will issue an opinion on the motion for the election of a judge to the Constitutional Tribunal. The sole candidate for this position, nominated by PiS, is the current Supreme Court judge, Wojciech Sych.
- This is a continuation of "Afternoon" and "Kaczyński's Time." The author presents a general portrait of Polish democracy. Nothing is as it was supposed to be. Parties are greedy – not one, not two, but all of them. The demos are unwise – not once, not twice, but always. Elites too. But the most interesting thing is that it cannot be better. Because Polish democracy is no worse than others – announces the Czerwone i czarne publishing house about Robert Krasowski's new book "On Democracy in Poland," which is available in bookstores starting today.

We want teachers to return to work as soon as possible. There is practically no reason to strike
07:58
- Of course, we do [have a contingency plan for maturitas exams and student classification]. The government must have a contingency plan. Everything will become clear today. Today, the Prime Minister will announce the actions the government will take in this matter. We have a ready solution, the details of which Prime Minister Morawiecki will provide today, but above all, we all in the government hope that the situation where teachers refuse to classify their students will not come to pass - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".
- It will primarily address the danger of some maturitas exam candidates not being classified, because although we currently have appeals from the ZNP [Polish Teachers' Union], they still diverge from the declarations made a few days ago, as well as from what ZNP activists said yesterday at a demonstration under the Ministry of National Education. The media showed this, where it was clearly stated that this element of the strike action is to be the non-classification of maturitas exam candidates, preventing them from taking the exams, so we must react to this, and an adequate reaction will be presented today - informed the PiS politician, without denying at the same time that it will be a draft law.

Biedroń:
It's Clear PMM and PiS Don't Want to Solve the Problem. They Want a Circus, Not a Round Table.
- I think this decision should belong to the trade unions, which are working to resolve this difficult situation. Today, it is clear that Prime Minister Morawiecki and PiS do not want to solve the problem. They want to create a circus, not a round table. No reasonable person should participate in such a circus, because it is not a solution. Of course [it's a circus], because when PiS carried out the de-formation, not reform, of education, abolishing junior high schools, changing the curriculum, they did not invite anyone to a round table, and today, trying to play for time, they invite people to a round table just to delay the proceedings – stated Robert Biedroń in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.
- I think that President Broniarz made the right decision by not participating in this circus – added the leader of Wiosna.

Biedroń:
Politicians Should Be the Last to Dictate to Teachers
- I am the last person, and it seems to me that politicians should be the last to say what teachers should do. It's their lives, they are fighting for their dignity. Politicians should listen to this and solve these problems. Of course, absolutely, Spring has been standing with teachers, at all demonstrations, from the very beginning - stated Robert Biedroń in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.
08:28
Biedroń:
If I Were Prime Minister, I Would First and Foremost Talk to Teachers and Solve This Problem by Giving Them Raises
- [If I were Prime Minister] today, I would first and foremost talk to teachers and solve this problem by giving them raises. There is money for the 'Independence Bench', for the queue at Kasprowy Wierch, for cows, for pigs, for many initiatives, for the 13th pension. For many initiatives that are clearly not motivated by solving specific problems, but by an attempt to divide society into a better and a worse sort, because that's what PiS does best - stated Robert Biedroń in a conversation with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet. When asked where the money for teacher raises, proposed by Wiosna, would come from, Biedroń replied that one could abandon the construction of CPL (Centralny Port Komunikacyjny - Central Communication Port) or the Ostrołęka C power plant, withdraw religious education from schools, or ensure that social benefits are awarded more equitably. As an example of this injustice, he cited the fact that Jarosław Kaczyński will receive the 13th pension.
08:33
Biedroń:
I Wouldn't Give the 13th Pension. I'd Solve the Problem Differently. I'd Increase Pensions for Those Truly in Need. Kaczyński Doesn't Need the 13th Pension
- [If it were up to me], of course I wouldn't give the 13th pension. I'd solve the problem in a different way. I'd increase pensions for those who truly have little, because pensioner Jarosław Kaczyński doesn't need the 13th pension - stated Robert Biedroń in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

If Spring Isn't There, We Can Bid Farewell to Pro-Democratic Governance
- We are the third political force, the only one offering a chance for the opposition to govern in the autumn. If Spring isn't there, if we don't support Spring, then we can bid farewell to pro-democratic governance - stated Robert Biedroń in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

With Schetyna, we won't separate state from church. We won't make teachers' lives better, or ensure women have equal rights to men.
- With Grzegorz Schetyna, we will not separate state from church. We will not make teachers' lives better, or ensure women have equal rights to men, or that they have access to the 'morning-after' pill. I am here to solve problems, to finally separate state from church, and the European Coalition will not do that - stated Robert Biedroń in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.
- Of course, I will run [independently for the Sejm]. I will save Poland and solve all those problems that haven't been solved for 30 years, such as the separation of state from church, leveling the playing field for women and men, and fighting smog - he added.

Gronkiewicz-Waltz:
Poland Doesn't Meet Eurozone Entry Conditions; Likely Wouldn't Even Be Admitted to the EU
„[Jarosław Kaczyński] has not read the treaty his brother signed, because it addresses the monetary union. Let him look at the conditions Poland would have to meet. Today, Poland does not meet the conditions for entering the monetary union, and it is probable they wouldn't even be admitted to the European Union. There is a government that violates the principle of the separation of powers, the principle of the rule of law, which are the foundation of the European Union's functioning. In such a case, we wouldn't be in the euro, nor in the EU” - said Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, former president of the National Bank of Poland and former mayor of Warsaw, in a conversation with Piotr Kraśko on TOK FM Radio's Morning program.
08:43
Gronkiewicz-Waltz:
Schetyna's Success is the Formation of the European Coalition as a Counterbalance to the Steadfast United Right
“His [Grzegorz Schetyna's] success is that the European Coalition was formed. Everyone will find someone to vote for on the list. It is a counterbalance to the United Right, which is holding on firmly. On worldview matters, there should be no party discipline, and [the Polish People's Party] should set such a condition” – stated Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, former Mayor of Warsaw, in an interview with Piotr Kraśko on Radio TOK FM's morning show.
08:46
„This is a sad decision, because the Polish school certainly requires not only more money, as our government has stated from the beginning that teachers, like the entire public sector, like many other professional groups, for instance, the academic community that I work with daily, that all these groups earn too little. However, money is not the only thing lacking in Polish schools. We are open to discussing other changes, both those that protesting teachers point to the need for, such as reducing bureaucracy, but also fundamental changes. For example, there is a fundamental question that teacher communities and politicians, those governing countries worldwide, are asking themselves: what should education and training consist of in the age of the Internet? This type of dilemma requires a long, patient, and multifaceted dialogue” - said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin on Radio Jedynka.
08:48
„This is a question [about the resignation] only for Minister Czerwińska and Prime Minister Morawiecki. I once said something that resonated, sometimes commented on a bit ironically, but I say it with great seriousness. The government must be like a commando unit thrown into action, in biblical terms, bear one another's burdens, and we must be solidary towards each other” - said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin on Radio Jedynka.
08:51
- I still believe that teachers, who have worked hard with their students, will not abandon them at the most important moment, which is the first serious exam in adult life, the matriculation exam. I am counting on these classifications, which are supposed to take place by tomorrow, to happen and for matriculants to be able to take the exam without any obstacles - stated Joanna Kopcińska in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' "Polityczne Graffiti". As she emphasized, she does not believe that teachers will make a decision that would take a year out of a young person's life. She further stated:
"Of course [the government has a contingency plan]. The government will do everything for these matura exams to take place. In what form, should such a situation arise, the Ministry of National Education, Prime Minister Morawiecki will present such solutions. We are a responsible government, credible, effective. Within a timeframe that allows the exams to take place. We discuss education every day because we know, we didn't need to be convinced that teachers' salaries need to be raised, that schools need to be changed to be innovative and developmental. We know all this and we are acting, we are acting without protests, without strikes, which is why I ask and appeal once again: let's all sit down on Friday and start a nationwide debate."
"Of course, there are several scenarios that should be considered, because only an unimaginative, irresponsible person does not consider and does not assume a Plan B, but I am still focused on the fact that teachers will make a responsible decision and the matura exams will proceed without obstacles."

PM Decides to Present Special Amendment to Education Law at Today's Government Session
- To cut short this uncertainty, end this state of uncertainty, and clear up all doubts, Prime Minister Morawiecki finally made the decision yesterday to present a special amendment to the education law at today's Council of Ministers meeting, an amendment that will allow all matura exams to take place, so that all matura students can sit for the exams, and then, if they wish, can enroll in higher education. Prime Minister Morawiecki himself will talk about all of this. The Council of Ministers meeting will begin today at 3:00 PM. The first item on the agenda will be the draft bill I mentioned, introduced by the Prime Minister, and the Prime Minister will also describe all the details related to the amendment in a special address. The first part of the Council of Ministers meeting will be accessible to the media - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Marek Pyza on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour."

Czarnecki:
I Don't Really Feel the Need for a Kaczyński-Schetyna Debate
"Now there are European elections, so it is primarily candidates for the European Parliament who should present themselves, talk about their vision for Poland. Somehow, I don't really feel the need for such a debate, out of the blue, between the PiS leader and the PO chief" - said PiS MEP Ryszard Czarnecki, running for re-election, in a conversation with Jacek Prusinowski on "Sedno Sprawy" on Radio Plus.
10:57
Petru:
Tomorrow I will submit a motion to reject the 500+ bill in the first reading. I will also propose an amendment stating: 500+ not for the rich
- Tomorrow, the 500+ bill will be voted on in the Polish parliament, and at the same time, the government's draft regarding the matura exams, meaning classifications to be carried out by school principals, will likely be considered. These two matters are scheduled to take place on the same day. It is evident that there is no money for 500+, because there is no money for teachers. The slogan that what is promised will be delivered seems to me to be an unrealistic slogan, as is evident today. Teachers' needs are obvious and must be met, however, there is no need to pay out 500+ for the first child, and especially no need to pay out 500+ to wealthy individuals. I wanted to declare two things. Tomorrow I will submit a motion to reject the 500+ bill in the first reading. I will also propose an amendment stating: 500+ not for the rich, meaning that 500+ should be received by low-income individuals - stated Ryszard Petru at a briefing in the Sejm. In his opinion, savings from such a change would amount to PLN 5 billion and could partially finance pay rises for teachers.
11:21
"We don't know if we will have the opportunity to function under normal conditions, a standard honest debate, or if it will be a part of someone's campaign for the European Parliament, conducted with public funds. Hence, the decision by all employer organizations and ZNP not to participate in the roundtable deliberations, because this is not the format we expected" - said Sławomir Broniarz, head of ZNP, during a protest in front of the Ministry of National Education headquarters.
11:25
Broniarz:
We Cannot Waste Social Support Capital. We Must Not Let Ourselves Be Divided, Scattered. We Can All Speak with One Voice
“We also face difficult decisions regarding school-leaving exams. Today, the Prime Minister is to announce a draft amendment to the act, which will allow us to bypass the problem of not classifying students. We are aware that what awaits us in the coming days will be a test of our unity and solidarity. We cannot afford to waste this capital of social support, nor can we allow ourselves to be divided and scattered, because our immense capital lies in the fact that we can all speak with one voice, that we want to fix education, and that we want to earn more. But let us decide this ourselves, rather than entrusting our fates to one politician or another. Let us stand together” – said the head of ZNP, Sławomir Broniarz, during a protest in front of the Ministry of National Education building.

Mazurek:
The Government Should Do Everything to Ensure Graduates Can Take and Pass Their Exams
"Every method that leads to graduates calmly going through their matriculation exams and passing them stress-free, in my opinion, is good. The government should do everything to ensure graduates can take their exams and pass them," said Deputy Marshal and PiS spokesperson Beata Mazurek at a press conference in the Sejm.
"I believe that everyone, including Mr. Broniarz and Mr. Schetyna, should appeal to teachers to give graduates the opportunity to pass these exams, because they absolutely should not be used as subjects in a dispute between the trade unions and the government," she added.
11:43
Mazurek:
If there are no formal-legal obstacles, we want the 500+ bill to be voted on this Sejm session
- There is no such decision yet. Whether there will be one – I don't know. We will discuss it when the bill is submitted. We will do everything according to procedures and law to process this bill. I mean not only the education bill, but also the one regarding the 500+ benefit for the first child. According to the regulations, if there are no formal-legal obstacles, meaning no extensions of committee work, we want the bill to be voted on this Sejm session – stated Beata Mazurek during a briefing in the Sejm.
- This is information I know from the media [about alleged doubts by the Sejm Marshal regarding the bill on the Supreme Court]. When the convention and presidium meet, we will probably learn more details, and we will also inform you about them – she added.
11:48
„I have not discussed this matter [the SKO decision regarding Srebrna] with the President [Kaczyński] or anyone from Srebrna's authorities. It seems to me that this is a decision that needs to be thought about, needs to be considered. Our doubts stemmed from the fact that others could build skyscrapers, but Srebrna could not. Now other possibilities are emerging. Whether we will take advantage of them or not, I don't know” - said Deputy Marshal and PiS spokesperson Beata Mazurek at a press conference in the Sejm.
11:55
Mazurek:
PO Politicians Should Answer Questions Regarding Relations with the Open Dialogue Foundation
- We are all aware of the information published by the British newspaper. Of course, it is related to the receipt of 1.5 million pounds by the foundation through shell companies. Therefore, we believe that politicians, especially from PO, should answer several questions related to the potential ties between PO politicians and the foundation headed by Lyudmila Kozlovska [Open Dialogue]. These questions relate to what the framework of cooperation between PO and the Open Dialogue Foundation was and if it still is, whether this cooperation continued and still continues, whether PO politicians – despite emerging ambiguities – will continue this cooperation or distance themselves from the foundation, not only because of the article that appeared in the British press, but also because of the serious accusations made by the Internal Security Agency (ABW) against Ms. Kozlovska, as a result of which she was deported from our country. I believe that in this situation, the public should know the stance of those who supported Kozlovska, who supported the foundation, and I believe they should have enough courage to answer these questions - stated Beata Mazurek at a briefing in the Sejm.
12:22
- It turns out that my main opponent in this election, Róża Thun, has repeatedly defended this very foundation [Open Dialogue], which, according to the British media, is a Russian agency. The residents of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship have the right to know what Róża Thun's role is here and whether she consciously supported this Russian agency, according to what the British press writes. We all care about a sovereign Poland and want to elect politicians who may even make mistakes, but we have no doubt that they serve Poland, or we want to elect politicians who have such connotations. That is why I want to say this: Róża Thun chickened out when I called her to a debate in Krakow, but I want to repeat this call. If she doesn't have the courage in Krakow, perhaps in Kielce. I am calling Thun to a debate. This is her chance and an opportunity to explain her connections with this foundation - stated Patryk Jaki at a briefing in Kielce.
12:24
– An important debate is underway regarding the złoty as Poland's currency, which we want to retain. It is the foundation of the Polish economy and a very important constitutional institution. In response to the politicians' declarations, we demand that the Sejm, after 14 months, consider a draft resolution confirming that Article 227 of the Constitution is inviolable. We also appeal to all parties to take a clear stance on the issue of the Polish currency – said Marek Jurek, a candidate for the European Parliament, at a press conference in the Sejm.
- Our appeal to maintain the Polish złoty as our national currency stems not only from the desire to keep Polish currency in Polish pockets, but also to have an important body that guarantees our sovereignty. In a situation where Poland adopts the euro, the National Bank of Poland will cease to exist. Our bank will become the European Central Bank, which will dictate interest rates and realistically influence the Polish economy through the banking system. We want to maintain sovereignty so that the Polish state can influence the banking sector. We appeal to Law and Justice to adopt our resolution – explained Tomasz Rzymkowski, a Member of Parliament from Kukiz '15. In their opinion, PiS has kept the project in the so-called Sejm's deep freeze for 14 months.
12:29
The government has published in the Journal of Laws the law, signed by the president yesterday, concerning a one-time monetary benefit for pensioners and annuitants in 2019, more commonly known as 'Emerytura plus' from the so-called 'Kaczyński's Five'. The law comes into effect on the day following its announcement.

Grupiński:
Morawiecki is Today a Compromised Prime Minister
- It cannot go without comment what has been happening recently, alongside such an important teachers' strike, in the face of many other challenges and problems we are living with today. However, what is happening with the language of Polish politics, within that politics, at its very center, cannot go unnoticed, without comment. One cannot pass over indifferently the statements of the Prime Minister, who slanders his own state and justice system in New York. One cannot calmly move on to other, everyday matters when anti-Semitic excesses occur in Pruchnik, and the government or the ruling party's leader does not comment on them. One cannot move on from what Minister Jaki says about teachers, comparing their actions to the Wehrmacht. Such statements have been multiplying recently. We have witnessed an unusual tolerance towards various statements by Polish nationalists or even neo-fascists. We have seen unusual leniency from the services, Minister Ziobro, and Prime Minister Morawiecki towards many nationalistic and anti-Semitic excesses. Please note that the Prime Minister of the Polish government attacks the Polish justice system, of which he is, in a sense, also a superior, in a manner that defies all principles not only of morality but also of history. Morawiecki is today a compromised Prime Minister, a person who should not hold the office of Prime Minister at all. This is an indisputable fact - stated Rafał Grupiński at a briefing in the Sejm.
- I would like to say this to all Poles, essentially. Do not be deceived by the new blue, azure walls that PiS will unveil at its conventions. Allegedly close to the color of the EU flag. The color that should accompany PiS today is becoming increasingly brown, because that is how the party thinks. This is dangerous - added the Civic Platform politician.

Kempa:
We will do everything for students to be graded, and then for matriculation exams to take place
- I think the proposal and the formula of a round table are a really very good formula and should be adequate to what is happening. First and foremost, it cannot be the case that all problems will be solved in 1, 2, or 3 days, because that is not the reality. These problems have been accumulating for years, and today there is a request for everyone to sit down together. The opposition is also invited to the round table deliberations, as well as teachers, experts, and a very important environment, which is the environment of parents. After all, the bodies of the parents' council are also bodies of the school. Therefore, it is a very serious factor in these important negotiations and should take place. I heard an announcement this morning that some representatives of trade unions do not want to come. This means they want this quarrel to simply continue. I would not want children and young people to be hostages here. Tomorrow, the Sejm will also convene. We will do everything so that, first and foremost, young people are graded, so that this year is not wasted, and then that the matriculation exams take place - stated Beata Kempa at a press conference in Wrocław.

Sejm May Address Supreme Court Bill at 2 AM. Session Extended to Friday
According to information obtained by 300POLITYKI, tomorrow after 10:00 PM, the Sejm is expected to consider a motion to dismiss Marek Gróbarczyk, and after midnight – a motion to dismiss Anna Zalewska. Voting is scheduled after these points are addressed, and after 2:00 AM, the Sejm is to consider the bill on the Supreme Court submitted by PiS. Simultaneously, the session will be extended. Another block of voting is planned for Friday, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

PMM:
Matriculation Exams Will Not Be Threatened. School Principals Will Decide on Student Classifications, or Local Government If They Refuse
"This proposal will ensure and safeguard the classification of students and the smooth running of matriculation exams. In schools where pedagogical councils do not decide to admit students to the matriculation exams, this right will belong to the school principal. And in those very special, I hope they will not occur, but if they do, cases where neither the pedagogical council nor the principal wishes to make this decision, then the appropriate classification decisions will be made by the managing body - the local government" - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a government session.
"I wish to assure parents and matriculating students - the administration of the matriculation exams will not be threatened" - he added.
15:46
PM:
The Polish state must guarantee that every graduating student in every Polish secondary school will be able to take their final exams on time, without exception.
“The Polish state must guarantee that every graduating student in every Polish secondary school will be able to take their final exams on time, without exception. This is required for the well-being of students, for the well-being of parents, for the peace of mind of parents and teachers, but it also demands seriousness and responsibility on the part of the Polish state. Therefore, I have decided to submit a proposal for legal changes to today's Council of Ministers that will end this uncertainty regarding the conduct of this year's final exams,” Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said during the government session.
15:47
"We want to pass these changes quickly. Today, the Council of Ministers will adopt them. I have asked the Speakers of the Sejm and the Senate for the most urgent possible procedure. I spoke about this with the President this morning in Świnoujście. We want to implement these changes quickly so that any uncertainty disappears," Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said during a government session.

- I spoke with the Prime Minister. He told me that this year, the total raise for a certified teacher, and I'm talking about the gross amount, not net, will be a little over 1000 PLN. That's what the Prime Minister told me today. For a certified teacher. Additionally, this year the tax will be lowered in the lowest income tax bracket for natural persons, meaning you will pay less tax, so more money will remain in your pockets. Let's seek some agreement, and that's what I'm asking for. I understand that the format of the roundtable announced by the Prime Minister at the National Stadium might not be the happiest one. I would like it to be a roundtable that is conducted reasonably, meaning in groups where actual discussion is possible, and not involve hundreds of people, because in a group of hundreds, nothing can be negotiated - stated President Andrzej Duda at a meeting with residents of Białogard.

Sejm Vote Between 15th and 16th, Senate Session from 7 PM. Law to Enter into Force on April 27th
„Today the Council of Ministers adopted the draft. Tomorrow, work will begin in the Sejm, as the draft will be sent today. The Prime Minister has spoken with the Speakers of the Sejm and Senate, so all these arrangements were made well in advance. Tomorrow, the Sejm will deal with the draft in the morning hours. We hope that the vote in the Sejm will take place between 3 PM and 4 PM, and then the draft will be sent to the Senate, where further legislative work will begin. In the Senate, the session will commence around 7 PM, and a vote will take place in the night hours, after which the adopted law will be sent to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. On April 26th, if the President deems the law to have been adopted without any flaws, the law can be signed and then published, which means it will enter into force on April 27th” – said Minister Michał Dworczyk at a press conference.
17:21

„This will be a nationwide debate on the future of Polish education. The goal is to develop assumptions for changes in the education system as part of the next stage of educational reform” - Minister Michał Dworczyk said about Friday's round table.
„An invitation has been sent to the chairpersons of the Sejm and Senate education committees, and parliamentary clubs: PiS, PO, PSL, Kukiz’15, and Nowoczesna. Of course, an invitation has also been extended to the President” - he added.
„The first meeting, which will begin this Friday, will be opened by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki with his strategic address. Then Prime Minister Beata Szydło will speak, followed by planned addresses from teachers, governing bodies, students and parents, education experts, and politicians. Subsequently, there will be a division into four sub-tables” - Dworczyk announced - „Work at the thematic sub-tables will take place on April 30. Further work will follow in subsequent weeks. If we are to develop serious assumptions for a thorough reform of the education system, it won't take us two or three meetings. We will likely have to dedicate more time to it”.

In the event of necessity, the classification of students will be carried out by the school principal or the local government. Additionally, the time for completing oral examinations will be extended. This statement, shared by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on Twitter, addresses potential disruptions to the educational process, likely in anticipation of or in response to unforeseen circumstances impacting the regular conduct of school operations and examinations. Kaczyński:
Our Goal Must Be to Reach the German Level. This Could Happen in 20 Years If the Current Development Pace Difference Persists. But Good Economic Policy Must Be Pursued.
- There is also another requirement, which in my opinion belongs to the canon of contemporary Polish patriotism. This is the requirement of development policy, which aims for Poland to reduce the still very significant distance that separates it from Western countries. While we currently have around 70% or more than 70% of the EU average in terms of GDP. We are reducing this distance. When we started, it was 47%, now we have exceeded 70%. But in reality, our main partner is Germany, and Germany has over 120%, so the difference in relation to Germany is still very large. Our goal must be to achieve that German level. Is this task impossible? I once spoke with journalists from one of the most important German newspapers, and when I told them about this, they said: what are you talking about, this could happen in several hundred years. No, ladies and gentlemen. This could happen in 20 years, if there is such a difference in the pace of development as there is now. But good economic policy and good public finance policy must simply be pursued - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Włocławek.

„I am convinced that [oral exams] will take place. We are already creating a potential pool of individuals who can be utilized if teachers refuse at schools. And should it turn out that in some institution there are no people who can conduct the oral exam, we also have another solution, although speaking about it today would be premature. I believe it will not come to that. I believe that teachers will want to be with their students. We are appealing to teachers once again. Help students get through this important moment in their lives” – said the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Minister Michał Dworczyk, in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski in „Wydarzenia i opinie” on Polsat News.

"I must apologize, because I feel somewhat guilty. Mr. President probably didn't receive the full information about the round table. As head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, which sent out these materials, we clearly didn't manage it effectively. No one is talking about hundreds of people. It was never discussed" - said Michał Dworczyk, head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on "Wydarzenia i opinie" on Polsat News.
