Petru Requests Government Information on Funding for Kaczyński's 'Five'; Proposes Reallocating Funds for Teacher Salaries

“Someone has been deceiving us. Not long ago, we heard there was no money in the budget, and then, with every PiS convention, it turns out there's money for more electoral promises. We have submitted a proposal to Mr. Marshal Kuchciński to expand the Sejm's agenda to include full information from Prime Minister Morawiecki regarding the sources of funding for Kaczyński's 'Five' and why there is no money for teacher pay raises,” said Ryszard Petru at a press conference in the Sejm.

“Instead of 500+ for the first child, give 250 for the first child. The savings generated from this would be enough for teachers to receive an additional thousand zlotys every month. The budget is not made of rubber. This has been known for a long time. One can ask what good it is for a family to receive 500 zlotys per child when the father dies in the emergency room after waiting 9 hours in line. In Poland, there is a whole host of other, more pressing needs than 500 zlotys per child and a thirteenth pension,” he added.
